Took a friend here to get their guitar worked on. Very chill guy whos willing to talk guitars with you and how to fix them. Prices seemed reasonable, too!
Incredible craftsmanship and value. Took my Taylor guitar in for a crack repair and SDC exceeded all of my expectations for the repair. The crack is virtually impossible to find after the repair. I will certainly use SDC for any future work I need on any of my guitars.
Regardless of your axe, Scott can make it better or like new again! Impeccable craftsmanship and service. If you have a broken neck there is a good chance Scott can even fix that. :-)😊
This fellow is THE REAL DEAL!!! I honestly think he could assemble, disassemble and then reassemble a guitar with a blindfold on in a pitch black basement! He restored my guitar(s) quality to better than time of purchase and worked magic on my tremolo systems (Floyd Rose)! And to top it off - the guy is an extremely nice fellow!!! Viva SDC Guitars!!!
I went to Scott for what I thought would be a small repair on one guitar and a setup on another.Long story short the repair ended up being major and I decided to go from a passive to active pickupSystem in the other guitar.Scott took all of this in stride and when I got the guitars back they were setup perfectly, they played amazing and the active system install was incredibly professional.I can’t recommend him enough.
My guitar was in shambles, and when I say shambles I mean I brought this man pieces and pieces of my guitar that I could find, and it was busted wide open, he fixed my guitar back to looking like a guitar and ITS PLAYABLE !! He wasnt overpriced or it didnt cost me thousands. It was seriously a job I thought no one could do or would by how broken into peices and shards the guitar was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Incredible attention and care. Not to mention time efficient. I couldn’t recommend Scott more! Took both my basses to him, one for a simple set up and one for more restorative work and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results on both.
My experience at SDC Guitars was very positive. Scott did a tremendous job in repairing my acoustic Fender. You can tell that someone has a passion for what they do when they can diagnose your issue within thirty seconds of holding the instrument! I am very pleased with his craftsmanship as my guitar plays better than the day I purchased it. He has great prices, is honest, and does great work. I would recommend his work to anybody! Thanks Scott!
Scott is extremely knowledgeable and I immediately felt at ease as he asked all the right questions about upgrading my Mandolin...I cant wait to have it back and see what magic hes done. He answered all my questions without hesitation and helped me make great choices for my mando. More to follow..
First off, I enjoy the fact that I can drive up after work and drop-off/pick-up my guitar up until 9 pm. Its a HUGE convenience factor for me.Second, Ive been playing guitar for over 10 years now, but Ive never really bothered with setting-up my guitar (make sure string height, pick-up height, etc. is aligned). I took my electric PRS in to Scott because the input jack quit working. Scott fixed this in a matter of minutes right in front of me, then went ahead and adjusted my pick-up height as a courtesy (took like 30 seconds and he didnt charge me for it!) The pick-up adjustment was amazing, my guitar sounded even better than before!Third, Scott was more than willing to hang around and let me quiz him about all kinds of electronic stuff that Id never considered before. His passion and experience with guitars was very apparent to me and I felt good knowing my baby was treated with such care.I was so stoked with this simple service that I took my acoustic back to him and had him set that up, too. Both guitars sound great and I am officially a life time customer. The work could have easily been done by a Guitar Center Tech, but the customer service and life time experience Scott brings to the table is worth driving ever mile I drive and every penny I spend.
I havent needed Scott for a couple years but just looking him up again. I need some acoustic work and I wont go anywhere else!!
Scott is one of the world’s best luthiers. He can repair or modify anything you bring into him. He’s a pleasure to work with and an all around great guy.
Scott did an awesome job with my Jackson Randy Rhoads. The edges frets were chewing up my fingers, there was fret buzz, my intonation was off, and I couldnt keep it in tune. The guitar plays beautifully now. I will definitely be taking my other guitars here!
Goes above and beyond to help you. Highly recommended.
My new guitar needed a fret-leveling. This was done really well, in a timely fashion and the service was extremely friendly.Scott managed to find time to meet with me on the weekend, discussed options and pricing in an honest, down-to-earth manner. At the time, I didnt know what was wrong with the guitar exactly, only that the neck was a bit wonky. After a careful diagnosis (done in front of me), we agreed on a path to take, a price, and there were no further surprises. When picking it up, Scott spent an hour with me making sure the setup was to my liking, while dispensing useful advice, and even showed me how to do truss-rod adjustments myself. The guitar is in great shape six months later.Highly recommended.
Scott is a craftsman and a detailed instrument technician. I wouldnt take my guitars anywhere else. Hes also friendly and funny, which makes the whole experience even more pleasant.
My beloved electric acoustic Ibanez guitar (which I have owned since 2005) suffered an unfortunate accident, which resulted in the casing for the input plug to break off. There was no way to buy a replacement part and I hated the idea of having to buy a whole new guitar. After much research, I decided to take my Ibanez to Scott at SDC Guitars, and I could not be more glad I did. Scott did an incredible job fixing the problem and giving my guitar a much needed tune up. I was so impressed when I picked it up, since it looked brand new. He even noticed that the bridge was sitting too high and lowered it for me, which made my guitar easier to play by having the strings closer to the frets. This was surprising, since it had always bothered me but I didnt even mention it was an issue when we talked. Scott just knew and fixed it.Overall, I cant recommend him enough. The work quality is great, the pricing is fair, and dealing with Scott is a breeze. If you need work done on your guitar, look no further!
Great work, communicative, fair pricing.
THE guy for Bass in Indianapolis.
My go to place for all my instrument needs. If you want good quality heres the place to go.
Scott would never brag on himself so Ill take the pleasure of doing it for him. In addition to being a go to luthier for several local reputable shops to fix problem that are beyond them he also does repairs for Jim Irsays personal guitar collection including guitars from Bob Dylan, The Beatles and Jerry Garcia. He has worked on countless vintage guitars of mine and he just does things the right way period. Ive been to lots of great local guys as well and landed on Scott about 5 or 6 years ago and never looked back. From custom work to vintage restoration he does it all and is one of the most humble/knowledgeable guys I know. There just arent enough great things I could say but being a full time touring musician, I just couldnt survive without you brother!
They do great work and are very knowledgeable.
Scotts work is top notch. If you have a guitar that needs any kind of service definitely give him a call.
Scott has been a pleasure to work with. Quality of work was high and reasonably priced.
Scott is the man. Only guy I trust with my gear.
Good work, good prices
Great service!
