I took into Cento Shoes my favorite canvas backpack that needed some serious repairs requiring heavy duty hand sewing of straps. Jennifer interfaces with customers at the main counter. She took extra care to understand exactly what I wanted. She gave me a reasonable time line for return of the repaired product. She also offered a more than competitive price for the work. She called and let me know that the backpack was ready. Then, before I got there, she noticed a flaw in the work and requested that I wait a day to have it fixed before pick up. In all of the transactions, including pickup, she was friendly, helpful, and knew how to listen carefully to my customer concerns. This is a jewel of a family-owned business right in the heart of downtown Indianapolis with lots of big corporate this and that. I will definitely return with my shoes for repair. And I will recommend to friends that they visit. Jennifer told me that the stores founder was an Italian immigrant who had worked on shoes for the Holy Father as well as Gina Lollobrigida! It seems to me that the tradition of excellent craftsmanship and above-and-beyond customer service continues!

Hands down the best shoe repair place in town. Centos is the only place I trust and their work is pure art! Trust me - they have saved some of my favorite heels that have gotten destroyed in downtown cobblestones. They did an incredible job resoling my boots and the service was second to none

I had an excellent experience with Cento Shoes, they re-soled my favorite pair of Lowa boots. Though a little expensive they returned the boots to me cleaned and polished with the new Vibram soles firmly affixed, my only complaint (and it’s not much of one) is that they were not able to color-match the soles, so the boots look a bit different now.

Very disappointed with the service here! Very nice man but the service I received for my shoes was not the best. I understand that we all go through things but There was no communication, I waited and wasted time for a whole week only to find out I couldn’t where my shoes after I picked them from his store! I will not be returning here.

When your shoes need repairing instead of getting new ones, this is a good place to go to. They repaired my shoes pretty well for me to be able to use them for a little more time than if I just got new shoes.

I love this entire family! My grandmother Jeanne Robinson, God rest her soul, took all of her stilettos to be repaired by Tony! Which in turn my mother took all of her stilettos which in turn I take all of my stilettos, boots and shoes to ONLY Centos (Tony) to repair as they are the BEST in town. Took my old fossil bag in on two occasions (this place has ruined my bag past fixing now). First time was because the strap broke off (6 years old) - instead of telling me the machine was down, someone hand glued my bag together which fell apart not even a week after getting it back. This ruined the leather completely (by pulling the leather off the bag and leaving big patches of dry glue and ruined leather) and I took it back for an explanation. I was told it would be fixed for free and hand sewn - well, about 1.5 months of having it back and it’s completely fallen apart again (the seems weren’t sewn properly and it’s continued to ruin the leather). I sadly don’t recommend this store (tons of friends told me this place was the best and I wanted to support small business) even though the owner and people are very nice. I wish I would have never taken my bag here because, it’s just ruined now.

Im very fond of this friendly, family-owned and operated business where they provide sales, services and repairs for shoes, purses and anything leather. They keep my shoes looking good and in good shape. Today I brought in a pair of shoes that I had just bought--before ever wearing them for a nice shine while I waited.

Nervous about how bad of shape shoes were in before taking them in. Literally rebuilt bottom of shoes and came out looking brand new. Great work!

I took a pair of Christian Louboutin there to get the sole guards but on the bottom of the shoe. The worker there did a awful job! The sole guards the he placed on my shoes did not cover the front of the shoes to the end of my red bottoms. When I asked why the shoe was not covered from side to side he responded that how they do them. He totally did a horrible job! I would never go there again and ladies if you have any red bottoms shoe don’t take your shoes there!

Not happy with the results based on the price. Took in 2 1/2 pair of shoes. Black loafers, brown loafers and 1 sketcher gym shoe. I was happy with the brown pair but the black loafers, which were torn on the side, had an awful repair. It literally looks like they placed black duck tape across the top of the shoe, then used shoe polish to make it shine. The line is very present across the top of the shoe and the side looks as though it can be lifted off. The texture of the area they fixed on the shoes is nothing like the shoe itself. The stitching is extremely obvious and also very crocked. So to look at the shoes appears as though a child stuck tape on the them, closed their eyes to stitch and used a magic marker to make it match. On the 1 gym shoe, the glue and stitching are very clumpy. Overall a poor job for the price of $118. Yes, I could have bought new shoes but youre made to pay for the repairs upfront. For that price and the 3 week wait, I thought I would have gotten quality work. Sadly I did not.

I had a pair of Magnanni dress shoes that I wore holes in the soles. I took them to Centos and they made them look brand new again! So of course I brought my 3 other pairs of dress shoes in and had them work their magic! Very professional, knowledgeable and kind! I wont go anywhere else for my shoe needs!

Fixed the heal of my shoes in less than an hour - Thank you Mr Tony - not too many businesses still have that great customer service - You guys are it. Ive been taking my shoes to him for years - I have never had an issue. some days are slower than others but never an issue!

Brought a leather boots in with a loose heel. I was told they could fix it and it would be ready in two weeks. I called was told it was fixed went to pick it up and there had been nothing done to it. Went back a couple days later it looked like it was fixed. I have worn these about 5 times and the heel is loose again apparently all the did was put a little glue on it instead of properly screwing the heel back to the shoe. I will never use them again.

Excellent craftsmanship on shoes and Motorcycle riding boots .. They all pay attention to detail and they use car tire rubber with the deep tread on the bottoms of motorcycle riding boots . Excellent Customer Care and Service, the ole school way ..

So happy with the quality of work and focus on customer service provided by Centos! I was in a bind needing a pair of dance shoes fixed before going out of town. Tony fixed the shoes in a timely manner and went above and beyond by delivering them to my home on a Friday night! I would highly recommend Centos~ Family owned and family oriented. I was impressed.

They are way over priced. They charged me over 50 bucks to fix the soles of my shoes and make them look new. Their credit card machine was not reading correctly, so I had to pay in cash- fine. After a week of having my shoes, I called to check on their progress only to learn they hadnt started the rehab. They assured me they would be done by the Thursday (on a monday) to no avail- I received the call of their completion on friday. When I went to pick them up, the work done looked remedial at best. I had to inform one of the guys that the black polish was all over the metal parts of the boot. He then took 10 minutes to do a half a** job at cleaning them. Will not be back... ever.

They help preserve and restore my shoes. I have a difficult time finding shoes in my size so I appreciate the repairs of shoes that fit.

I cannot rate the service but I will rate the owner. Years ago, he lost the shoes I brought in for repair--and was not even apologetic about it, while today, he was rude, arrogant and crass. Apparently he does not need business. He will never get any from me, or anyone I know. If you expect customer service, RUN, FORREST, RUN. As far as repairing shoes, I guess I will never know. Up to you.

On 2 separate occasions I took shoes to Cento Shoes. The first time I had a pair of leather boots retread, they painted the wooden heals black without asking me. When I asked them to fix that they half-heartedly sanded it off. The finished product looked awful and shortly after that the new tread came off. I took another pair of shoes there to have a hole repaired. Once again, the finished product was awful. I had to take the shoes to another store to have them fixed properly.

So very happy. I ordered 2 pair of shoes online as I could not find what I wanted locally. The problem was the shoes are too big. I didnt have time to reorder shoes as we are flying out soon for a wedding. So, now what do I do. The local shoe cobbler in Plainfield closed a couple years ago. Some friends recommended Cento shoes at 33 south Meridian, Indpls. Rob drove me up there today. We met the owner, Tony Cento. This guy is awesome. He fixed my shoes on the spot. As we got to talking, he lives in Avon and has been selling shoes since he was 16 years old and he use to go to the Cobbler shoe repair in Plainfield. I highly recommend him. Tony Cento Rocks!!!

Centos Shoes have provided me excellent product and service for several decades....Most recently, I told Tony that I wished the soles on several pair of shoes were thicker and narrower to make them look newer. Tony explained that they could use a thicker and narrower sole. The soles and shoes look perfect.I also asked about dying shoes to a different color. On both suede and leather, Centos has changed the colors of 3 pairs of my shoes and the results are excellent. And the price for changing the color was much lower that I an expected. Since the price and result were so great, I have bought shoes on sale that were a color I did not want, since Centos can change the color to look perfectly like the manufactured color I did want. Changed black leather to brown, red suede to blue, and tan suede to blue.Thank you for the continued excellent service and solutions. Charlie

They are the worst company I have dealt with they promised me they could lower the heel on my shoe that I sent a pic of to them. Not only did they not fix them after having them for 2-3 weeks but, he lied and said he didnt know he had them and he had to sign a received slip through the procare service. Then when I asked him to send them back to procare he lied and said he did and he in fact didnt. I had to pick them up myself.

I have been taking Bruno Magli, Johnston Murphy, Mezlan, Allan Edmonds, Ferragamo, Santoni, Cole Haan etc to Tony for 8 years. I can tell you all work is excellent and quick every time. Tony cares as much about his customers as he does their shoes, which is a lot! You can trust them with ANY shoe. Period. Every shoe he has touched for me is still in service, looking good and looking new.
