We stopped here on Monday awesome place very clean. We talked with a very nice lady that checked us out. I have been looking for a store like this since I lived in Texas where these stores are a dime a dozen. Well let me just say this store is a gem we will definitely be going back again and again. We had the pombazo, tacos de pastor and carnita tacos and elote en bazo all very delicious. We were encouraged to come back on Friday, Saturday and Sundays when they do fresh carnitas and fresh Tamals we cant wait. 😋

This place is a gem for authentic Mexican cuisine. Not only do the have entrees they have desserts. If you feel like cooking your own, they have ingredients for that too.

The most authentic Mexican food in town and definitely the best! Lindo comes in a close second!If youre like me and loves to try authentic dishes, this place is heaven!People who rated this any lower are probably the same people who falls in line at a Taco Bell drive thru.

Tacos, sandwiches, and the quesadilla are really good. The one main cook seems to make them less greasy and you can see he works hard to give a nice product. Nice store.

My first time there was July 21, 2021 my husband and i went there with out little one looking for elotes and ended up ordering steak enchiladas and tacos the food was amazingly delicious I was so glad that we went there. Also they had a whole grocery store products on the other side with bakery and restaurants on the other side of the store.

Really good, really authentic food. I got an Al Pastor Torta and oh my goodness it was tasty. I was suggested to try this place by a mexican coworker, as he said it was the best place around and he was right! My coworkers and I all had excellent looking and tasting meals. 10/10 would recommend to anyone! The sauce they included with the meals was so flavorful and delicious. Thank you for bettering my life.

Omg, one of my favorite Mexican stores in town. They have a restaurant and ice cream parlor on the side and a meat market in the back.

I’ve gone here a couple of times and I live out of town so I always buy some candy’s for my kids and I decided to buy tamales.... I get home warm them up and Dry Nasty tamales and the chicken was even drier In it!! Worst I’ve ever eaten in my life.

Wonderful little taqueria! Take out torta was delish...but the Tres Leche....wow! Plus there is a wonderful grocery attached. Very healthy, fresh produce. Ill be back.

1st time in today and I ordered off grubhub and wow was it good definitely the best Ive had in town!

They have everything( Tiene de todo) Meat Counter, Tamales all weekend Red Chili Pork or Chicken with Green Chili and sweet Tamales with 🌽 Corn, among a variety of Candy, Chips and Mexican Sweet 🍞 (Pan Dulce)😍😉

In the area for the holidays. Came in thinking it was open. The friendly front cashier lady told me it was closed but to come back tomorrow. I’m here now, did not regret. Came here with my mother, sister and her boyfriend. And my fiancé got the soup of 7 seas. Everything was fresh and authentic. You will not regret. We tried tacos and the burritos. And the mangoñaeads were delicious.The atmosphere was comfortable. Went back to Minnesota with satisfaction. Will definitely return.

The have the best ice cream in town!! You can get it in popsicle form as well. All sorts of neat flavors like ferraro rocher and tequila!

My uncles grocery store is awesome! When he got the place it was just THAT a grocery store. Now they have a restaurant and a newly installed Ice cream shop with genuine Mexican ice cream/ popsicles! As for the single check lane... A 2nd check out lane is almost finished up. I highly recommend stopping by for some groceries, delicious food, or a unique Ice cream you probably havent tried before ;)

Wouldnt recomed this place im not from around here but if you want to be treated like a customer and not trash go try La Regia Restaurant, after all we the customers are the reason this kind of places are open. Ps a driver but a customer as well.

This place has good variety on mexican items no doubt about it. The service is fair. The problem is... Soon you get in to the store the music is to loudly at the point you have to speak louder in order to communicate each other. Looks like you are entering to an antro.

This place is a hole in the wall. People always seem to go to La Regia because of how popular theyve gotten over the years.La Regia is good though, but this place is so much better. I wish they had seafood options for their tacos/burritos. Although, there is a mariscos menu for entrees. This place does not get stingy with their portions. You get a lime per taco which is really nice and they load up on the meat! I got the Al Pastor, carnitas, and lengua. Very yummy and flavorful!They also have aguas, ice cream, and other treats like mangonada. This place is also connected to a grocery store. I did get to try the coconut agua drink and that was delicious!

Taquería is in the back. I had an excellent taco de asada and taco de carnita. The taquería is relatively new to the store when I went. Officially the best authentic tacos Ive had in the greater iowa city cooridor area. The pluses are they used quality meat and three options of salsa: red, verde, and my favorite avocado. Delicious!
