The 3 stars is because I thought that the store was new at that location but that store was there when me and my sister use to go there back in 08/09 when we stayed in Irving.. That store been at that location for yrs.. Looking at the pictures of the store on line I thought they had expanded the building because the Isles looked wider but its the same small cramped store.. But other then that my experience there today was ok. They acknowledged me when I entered and the young guy with the curly hair came over to me and offered assistance for what I was looking for and they even said Thank You after checking out my purchases.. I was kinda leery after reading all the negative reviews before going there.. But they were nice to me..

I arrived at 7:54pm (they close at 8pm) and as I was walking up, I could see the iron bars slide across the door. I went back to my car and called and told the woman that answered that I just need to get one item and that technically it wasnt 8pm yet. She told me to go ahead and come in. I walked back to the door (by this time its 7:55pm) and the man standing at the door wouldnt let me in and rudely told me they were closed. I told him it wasnt 8 yet and that the woman that answered said I could come in. He told me again that they were closed and shut the door on me. I drove way to that side of town to get a particular item but I will not spend any money there after this treatment. I will just order it on Amazon.

ALWAYS a problem when I ask to apply my hairstylist discount.. I’m also a salon owner and spend $100-$200 or more EVERYTIME I come in here.. I buy hair and products in bulk often.. I just spend $134, took the time to license search myself on TDLR and have out my license just for him to flat out ignore the discount!! If you don’t want to give the discount then don’t advertise it!! And even when I acknowledged that he did not give me my discount he did not care or even offer to remedy the situation. So sick of this location.. too many other beauty supply stores for you to NOT respect my dollars.. I could care less if it’s just 10% or not, it’s bigger than that!! It’s the repeated terrible customer service for me!! 🙄😒

This place is typically super congested inside and it is hard to move around. Once you circle the store a bit, you can find what you need. However I am super happy that they have masks for sale and their employees wear masks!

If I could I would not give Jenny Beauty Supply a star . The customer service is horrible . I went into the Irving location today and I spoke to the two guys at the counter and they both just looked at me and as I was walking by I overheard the older guy say when they speak to you do nothing. I liked to be greeted back when I walk into your place of business and Im spending my money in your store . I turned around and walked out . Im not going to spend a dime and you are not polite !!!!

Like the other reviews have stated the store is over crowded. Its like playing leap frog with people or boxes of products to get through the isles. After one has traversed the labyrinth designed by Satans spawn, one would hope to be met with gratitude for sticking in there and making it to the finish line (cashier). Oh no, quite the contrary, I was barely acknowledged at all. The only words that were spoken were to tell me where to tap my card. No hello, no thank you, no have a nice day from the tattooed man with curly hair colored brown on the tips. But he isnt the only one that has lacked basic customer service at this location. I have implemented a rule. If I enter an establishment and I am not greeted by someone at some point before I make it to the register I wont buy there. I will go where my business is appreciated.

Ive been in this store twice, I typically shop as long as I want to make sure I am certain I have the products I want. I have never felt followed or harassed. Employees are helpful and they have nice music playing. Reasonable prices.

So far two of the synthetic units Ive purchased here have both been bad buys. They get super tangled (even the human hair mix) and super brittle after wearing them only for less than a full week! At $30 and $35 thats not cool. I will go back to shoping online for hair units.The store is large and well stocked with lots of great hair products and accessories. The staff is really friendly and helpful, which is why I gave them 3 stars. Its not worth me driving 35 minutes away, but if you are local to Irving, TX, its a great option for beauty supplies. ☺️

Warning: Do NOT buy IRIS brand wigs. They are thin and have terribly split ends. My wig hardly had any hair on it. Ask to see full wig before purchase.

Nice selection, a lot of stock so crowded store.Yeah, I like gospel music, the only suggestion is to just turn it down a bit, however didnt stop my shopping experience. The young woman who helped me with my wigs was extremely nice, & the man who worked the register was telling his employee about customer service and patience.

Worst experience of my life... Lady is very unreasonable... They will not give you a refund... I feel robbed... They took my money i bought a product was the wrong product i needed i didnt even open it.... This place is a total ripoff....

I go in here often this time I went in for a face mask switch the variety on the face mask for very few in limited but on their other items they do exceptionally well

Beware of this beauty supply store, their customer service is horrible. You spend your money here and your unable to return an item that does not work for you. They are horrible, not even an exchange or store credit. How would you know if a product works if you don’t try it out.

I think it could better if there wan not a 3 wig try rule. Its takes a while to choose a wig. I felt rushed and it made me incomfortable.. none the owners wear wigs. They do not know how to effectively sell that product because they dont use it themselves

I REALLY love this store. I live in North Dallas and on most of the beauty supply I live near are warehouse beauty supply. The one I used to go to is in South Dallas and I simply refuse to drive out that way for hair. I located this location and they have more options than most that Ive gone too. Also, the prices are GREAT. I like to crochet my hair and I purchased a pack of crochet twist that had 3 bundles in it for $8.99. Usually, just 1 bundle pack of hair 8 bucks where Id go. I really like it here and theyve been so helpful when I go.

Jennys is such a one stop shop... and its got me hooked. I love how clean and organized evrything is. Not much crochet options but you are still able to find hair you like thats affordable. Make up decent quick cute clothes. Jewelry matches the perfect church outfits. This store definitely need good reviews. Wide variety of sunglasses. They and your Sunday stocking when you are on the go and little girl cute Sunday socks in different colors... which is so wonderful. And there is always more that one lane open when ever I go so even If I spend all day walking around the store when I finally approach the registrar I am in and out just like that. This store is definitely a must see for the fashion divas looking for affordable items

They have a lot of good products, however, if you are able to twist the top off please check to make sure the product is not expired or dried up. I noticed a lot of products that are drying out possibly because no one is purchasing them. Also, the gospel music is possibly being played by the African Americans that work there which was no bother to me. I receive good service and courtesy when I shop here.

Just left after buying clip in extensions. I have to say this is the best service I’ve had at a beauty supply in Dallas. The staff was so gracious, helpful and patient that it made the trip way easier! Highly recommend

The store was SUPER CROWDED with junk (supplies in boxes ), not people. There is a 3 wig limit, not per wig cap, but per customer. The lady said that I could only try on 3 wigs because she had other customers . She just lost one because that makes no sense and she was very much rude about it. I guess because of the other African Americans that frequent their shop are okay with their lack of space, respect, professionalism, and understanding of the English language that ALL blacks have to follow suit. NO MAAM! I refuse to give my business to such establishments.

I nolonger go to this beauty supply store because they watch you like a hawk making it a very unpleasant shopping experience(esp for African Americans). Also, the store is so small and to top it off, they have a Punjabi lady who works at the wig station that trys to tell you about your black hair. Seriously ?! puhleez

Reasonable prices. Not too bad. The bigger Jennys Beauty Supply store off of Cockrell Hill in Dallas is way more bigger and has more products to choose from so if you cant find what you need here and dont mind driving a bit of a distance, I would go there.

I went to the Irving location & found a small hole in the wall shopping center building with a bunch of great beauty supply deals under one roof! Ive never found what I needed in less than 15 min plus they were helpful & knowledgeable of their inventory all while treating me w/respect. Shop there!

Has everything I need

This place should not be a store. Its more like a storage. You can hardly move around to shop. There are boxes everywhere. Also, the people who work there are not very helpful and get attitudes when you ask simple questions. Never coming back hete.

This place is the buffet for hair. Any type of hair a lady wants is got to be here, if not you are not doing something right. Whatever you want has got to be in the establishment. Go and check it, promise you will fall in love with the choices.

Very small location, very much unlike the location on Cockerel Hill. DID NOT HONOR SALES AS ADVERTISED ON WEBSITE.Not friendly, poor customer service and they charged me for things I did not buy, of course I did not realise until I got home and now they are closed. I would rather drive over to my old neighborhood to shop at that Jennys.

I had the worst experience in this store . I would never ever suggest anyone to go to this store. Me and my friend were in the store looking for some hair colors and we saw wigs. There was no sign saying we couldnt try it. We were trying to look at one wig then all of a sudden, one lady came and started to yell at us. She was so rude, racist, and abusive. Her reaction towards us was unacceptable. She made us feel like we had stolen her stuff. I wonder how she is running her business with that behavior towards customers.

If I could provide zero stars I would. You all dont see the way you are followed around in their store. I can walk over to the isle with the crochet hair and an individual would be standing there watching me. I went to look at combs, and there stood the same individual restocking the shelves. I refuse to give Jennys my money. I will not support an establishment who automatically assumes Im a thief because the color of my skin. I would rather spend more money at Sallys and order online than to patronize Jennys any longer. As a business, Jennys should be ashamed.

4 stars for having what I need! I would give 5 stars if the employees there didnt follow you around, staring and watching as if youre gonna steal something. That is super bothersome while trying to shop....not to mention Ive spent $300 there in the past couple of months. Its like they dont trust even the regular customers.

This place is horrendous, its ridiculously cramped, everything is disorganized and if you ask for help, youre treated like youre an inconvenience. They couldnt be bothered to help me find a wig in the color I needed. Save yourself the bother and go to the Jennys in dallas or go to kiss beauty supply in fort worth. The customer service is a LOT better and theres way more options

I hate i gave them my money. I was followed by an older man. He could have at least asked me if I needed help. NEVER AGAIN. I will stay in Las Colinas and use amazon from now on.

Worst experience ever. Went to this Irving Location with my mom and we’re rude right off the bat. Not even five 10 minutes in the store and we get yelled at and accused of messing up products and the old lady starts yelling at us to leave and that she doesn’t need out money. She was racist n verbally abusive to us just bcoz we touched her 1 wig. We went there to buy couple of hair supplies n accessories but I guess that rude b**** don deserve our money. I wanted to complain about her coz we didn’t deserve that kind of ill behavior. But I guess that is a family run business n no one would care.
