I had a terrible experience at a car dealership just a few days ago. I called Avis Car Sales and got connected with Scott! My advice is to research as much as possible, thoroughly test all the buttons, test drive as many as you can, and understand these are used vehicles which will have minor blemishes or some small thing not working. If you have any mechanical inclination and can handle fixing a couple small items that might not be 100%, I think you will find an aggressively priced albeit higher mileage vehicle. Most will not read all the signs about financing, so here it is....Avis Car Sales only finances with certain partners, and you will most likely need a cashiers check for the down payment. Unless its a smaller down payment, debit/credit works up to about $5000 IIRC. USAA or Navy FCU work too. Thanks again for your patience and help, Gina!

They tell you everything upfront and the cars they have on their lot are superb! There is TONS to look at, amazing prices and quality. We will be back when we get our second car. I can hardly give them a one star at this time. After making several phone calls to them to try and find out why I still haven’t received my car title so I can go get my car tags after three months. I would return this car if I could. I am so done with these people I don’t know what to do. Other than hire an attorney and sue them. Finally after a couple of weeks I get a call from Ashley in the title department and I am assured by her, that she will call me back with information on where the title to my car is within 48 hours. And that was 4 days ago. When she didn’t call back. I called and left her messages. And of course, my calls to her were never returned. These people don’t want anything but your money. It’s fine buying a car here as long as you can get your car title. But you may be giving them money for a car you don’t own. Or may never own. I can’t even drive this care legally as the temporary tags have expired a month ago and of course, they never offered to send me another set until they can locate my title. Their manager excuse for this is the Covid. Well the Covid isn’t an excuse when you have a car you can’t drive because you can’t go get your car tags for it. Go ahead and buy a car here. But what little you save on a car will be spent hiring an attorney to get the title to your car from them. And make sure that you check your truck before you buy your car. Because ours didn’t have a spare tire or a jack in it either.

Buying experience was pleasant, after purchase is terrible, sent me off the lot with my 2020 equinox with a leak in a tire that has to get replaced. Paid to have the car registered and tagged in Kansas and now my tags are expired waiting on the permanent ones in the mail and can’t get a hold of anybody to fix this through phone or email

Updated review:This experience has gone from amazing to the worst experience ever. The finance manager called and requested that my daughter return her car. He stated that the bank feels that her pay stubs were fraudulent. My daughter works for my husband and I. We own a box truck business delivering appliances for major companies in the DFW area. ALL of our employees are 1099. They at times need some type of verification and we provide Earning Statements. My daughter is 20 and a young mother who is trying to get a start in life.She is hurt that she has to return the vehicle and I feel this is discriminatory in nature. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. To top it off, I called to speak with Anthony and was told he resigned two days ago. I wonder why.Old Review:Anthony Roberts is an amazing salesperson. I went with my daughter to purchase her first car. He had the vehicle that she inquired about ready for a test drive when we arrived. He thoroughly explained the process to her before we drove the vehicle. She was very pleased and everything after that was exactly how he explained it. The entire process took about 2 hours and we were out. Not only did he call me before the Avis lot was opened to let me know the car was still available, he also went and took more pictures of the interior of the car and sent them to me. When we arrived the car was parked up front and ready for us to test drive. Avis has the prices of their cars marked low so no need to negotiate a price. So easy! We bought a car this past saturday. The sales rep David S. Did nothing. We walked the lot ourselves and pointed to cars we liked he read off basic information we had to track him down several times for car keys to test drive as he kept disappearing he took forever filling out our application in the computer only to tell us the system wasn’t pushing it through then had to redo all of our information on paper and took forever, he spelled my employer name incorrectly, he had no sense of urgency about him whatsoever and gave us a blank fob that didn’t work with the car at all. We spent 2 1/2 hours at the dealership to get the other fob programmed only to be told that it couldn’t be programmed and was no good. When we called back to complain he could not have cared less and just kept quoting we only guarantee one key and did not care at all about our experience a simple I’m sorry to hear that goes along way. There were a couple other issues with the car we called multiple times up to the location to speak with the manager and Bill cared so little that he never called us back once terrible customer service and bring the car to a mechanic before signing anything!

So be really careful when you sing your document because they are going to add stuff that you dont need even if you said 20 times that you dont need extra guarantee... they charged me an extra $ 499 on something called Fidelity smartshield. when I said very specifically that I didnt want any additional coverage or warranty because we know we have the factory one.Really disappointed because this is the first time that I have not felt any pressure to buy a car. They charge me an extra 499 for the know-it-all loyalty shield when we specified to the seller that I didnt want any extra collateral and even though I didnt sign the warranty price sheet he asked me to sign $ 237 written by him on the warranty sheet and that when I asked if that was the free guarantee, he explained that it was referring to the price of the monthly payment that we would be paying for the car. I mean, he made me sign something under the pretext of something else and I realize that today by reading calmly. It seems unethical to me that they make me sign this in this way knowing that he rejects more than once all the additional guarantees offered. Therefore, I do not understand why the charge of $ 499 for the fidelity smartshield something complete optional.After I contact Gina Brown who was the person who sale me the car she said she try to fix it talking with his GM but the contract was complete already so the can legaly scam you after 2 weeks I dont have any response...so BE AWARE WHAT YOU SIGN... they will try to sell you something that you dont need without permission.

The staff are not pushy hurry and make a decision on the car. Went over paperwork and again not pushy on buying extras dont cop an attitude bout things not bought. Well definitely come back anytime we want or need another car

Purchased 2020 Kia Forte. First time to buy a car from a rental car company. Different experience in a good way. Our salesperson, Gina, was super with working with us and was very honest about what they could and could not do. Lot was a little difficult to get to. Wide selection of vehicles and most were of really good quality and wide selection of Kia FortesPrices are non-negotiable, though they are quite competitive to regular used car dealerships. The dealership is rather bare bones right due to Avis just opening up this lotWould definitely consider using again in the future.

UPDATE: Changing from 2 stars to 4. After no resolution at the local office, i contacted the executive customer advocate for Avis. The following day, the local Avis branch found it possible to release me from the previous contract and sign a new agreement. Consequently, here is the overview of pros/cons of my Avis Car Sales experience:PROS:1) the price of the car was competitive in the DFW market2) the clean condition of the car3) the no haggle/no sales pressure sales experience was generally positive (except the additional warranty problem)4) the FINAL outcomeCONS:1) I had to seek outside assistance to resolve my issue. I should emphasize- at the end of the day, Avis did make it right.INITIAL REVIEW: Purchased a car from Avis 2 days ago. Arrived at the lot at 5:30- they were closing at 7:00- so we were working fast to get the deal done. At the end, they slipped a $499 warranty charge into my sales contract so i paid $500 more than expected for the car. Less than 48 hours later, i am reviewing the paperwork and discover the additional charge, and they say the warranty cannot be cancelled nor any refund or reversal made. They did confirm this is optional coverage and not required, and the finance guy says he explained to me multiple times about warranty gaps and I signed 5 different times to purchase the warranty. This is the basis of our disagreement and my displeasure- contrary to any reply they may post, my salesman did NOT explain they were going to add $500 to the cost of the car, and while the finance guy explained the warranty coverage, I never understood it to be optional- i wrongfully thought it was a perk for buying from Avis. The reason Im giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the charge is listed on the contract and i did sign it- even if it was after closing hours.

Found a car, test drove it and it had a grinding noise in the rear. We passed on it. They have a sign that says no outside financing and only 2 key given at sale. What the heck happens to the extra keys???Also, on Kelly Blue Book, there is a serious devaluation on vehicles if it was a rental car. These guys should be taking serious deductions on their prices.

I would give them a 0 if I could their service is terrible, I bought a car from them 3 months ago and I still haven’t gotten my license plate, they are super rude and hang up on me when I ask for it. Bad customer service.

AVIS Car Sales and their Irving TX team are wonderful. Tons of online inventory allowed my daughter to narrow the cars she wanted to see. We flew into DFW (from New Orleans) and Uberd over(15min $20) We were met by salesperson Robert Steffes who had all three cars we wanted to test drive together and ready to go! Absolutely no pressure, just information and guidance!. Test drives done, we selected our 2020 Toyota Corolla, a few minutes of paperwork and it was ours. Robert did make us wait a few minutes while he gave the car a quick wash! Now that is service! 8 hours later my daughter and I arrived back in New Orleans with her first car in hand!
