Understaffed I think. Had to wait for help instead of it being proactive. Helpful but not expert.

Had a great experience today with the management team there and taking care of everything that I needed fixing all of the problems. And clearing up misunderstandings was also a great thing management staff there is very calm cool and collected and there to help for sure no matter how many problems happened and many of them were not their fault for sure but they had my back all the way through and took care of everything for me.

Took 20 minutes after requesting help to get someone to help me. Very understaffed

About what you would expect. Not too busy because a lot of the stores in that mall closed. So you won’t have to deal with a crowd

Quick trip in & out. I stopped in to find a tablet case. I was better off going anywhere else. Staff were unhelpful, as I entered from Mall side, they were seen walking aimlessly thru the store like homeless people trying to keep warm. Many of the shelves were BARE. Even the TV area I found to be unorganized & uninviting with cables showing and many TVs not even turned on.Its sad that a once premier electronic store has turned into this mishmosh. Some of us loyal consumers havent given up on you BestBuy, but after visiting this store it appears that BestBuy has about given up on itself.

Maybe the staff is helpful if you can find them. Waited over 10 minutes at the checkout with no one there and finally shouted at an employee who was closest to the register and begged to purchase the item in my hand

Staff was friendly and helpful. The experience is great for the only good tech store left in NY the prices are competitive and you get it same say unlike most places with amazon.

Great experience with my car stereo installation. Friendly and professuonal. Great job!Update: the way the stereo was wired caused it to shut off and reboot. In the process, it would turn on my wipers and every light on the dash while driving. Had to wait 4 weeks to get it in to my local Best Buy wjo fixed the issue.

Always top notch service. We have had no problems with them installing systems in our company vehicles for the last 7 years. We have probably had about 20 installs done. Only had a issue once or twice. But it was quickly resolved. I would recommend Best Buy for audio equipment and installations. That way you know it will be done the right way!

Well-stocked with attentive staff, this Best Buy is reliable and offers typical standard hours, services, and whatever else you may require from your typical Best Buy.Apple repairs are done quickly (same day even) and the staff is supportive and knowledgeable with your stuff that needs fixing. Prices here are decent and they price match to their own website (which is apparently an issue at other Best Buys?).The parking lot needs serious work (like half of Ithacas roads and lots!) and the curbside pickup is sometimes slo-o-o-w, but otherwise its a good place and I keep coming back.

Had most everything I needed for a 800 watt mobile audio system I was installing.Wish they had amplifier terminals OTHER than the GOLD plated box for $25...not enough terminals in the kit anyways!

Used to be THE PLACE. Its now dying a slow and ignominious death. Theres dust on everything. The place is barren and depressing. The stock is low or non-existent. Its a sad reminder of whats happening all over the place. Theyre barely hanging on.

When it comes to electronics this place has got it all! Best Buy is definitely one of my favorite stores period. Im an electronics kind of guy so everything they have is right up my alley and they dont offer much at this store that doesnt interest me, speaking for other electronics and/or computer gurus Im sure too! They greet you at the door and ask if they can direct you towards what you are looking for and if they cant, they always find someone quickly who can point you towards your item or at least in the right direction. These guys will come to your house and hook up whatever system it is that you buy, or even install your car stereo in the installation garage bays they have here. Overall one of the most fun stores I can think of to step foot into when looking for gadgets, gizmos, software, and more! I love Best Buy, keep up the awesome work and safe store guys...doing a great job at it!

Walked around the store trying to find some compressed air, only to find out there was none in stock. My main reason for this 1 star review is because I walked around for a good 20 minutes and NO associate helped me. Bare in mind it was a Sunday evening and they were very quiet. There were associates on their phone on the sales floor rather than going out to help customers. Worst thing? The company wont look at this review. Please take my advice guys, dont expect much from this store.I will probably shop here less now.

This is my local Best Buy and the staff at least know me by sight, if not name. While I have had the very rare frustrating experience there, overall I find staff to be fairly helpful. I have no issues with the cleanliness or Covid guidelines being maintained.

The staff at the Ithaca Best Buy are some of the best. As the manager Elliot said, they are “always looking for any way to help a customer.” I greatly appreciate the excellent service I receive anytime I’m in the store. I’ll keep coming back.

Orderded online. Went in store. Sales people were excellent. So polite and helpful. When we finished got into our car. Used texted the best buy what parking space we were in and they brought out our tv .

Today, I was in the store to buy a laptop. They followed all covid-19 safety precautions. The staff was knowledgeable but I never felt embarrassed to ask any questions. Never felt pushed into any decision either.

Grabbed some pc parts. Everything went fine. In and out pretty quick.

They dont have enough items

No help, waited in the area looking for an employee and found no one, went to the front and asked someone for help and they said they called somebody and I go back to the department and wait for another 15 minutes and nobody came.I went in to look for a small item and as Im browsing around I saw a $1,500 item that I was interested in and had a couple questions about without employee to answer my questions I just chose not to buy either item from here and to go find something online.

They were really helpful and knowledgeable. I was in and out in record time.

When you need electronics, this is one of the best places left. Most of the others have closed up shop.

This location is fantastic! Although they are a smaller site they have a awesome team. I went in a hour earlier than my appt to chat and make sure everything was good before the appointment. Good thing to, my phone was covered under Apple care due to a issue in the system. The woman who was helping me from Geek Squad was so polite and patient with me. I called Apple to work trough the issue she waited and checked the states of my phone with me until she was cleared to work on my phone. The whole waiting process took about 3 hours. She helped other customers in that time but always checked and kept me up to date. In a she was able to work in my phone and fix the screen she had it done in about 40 minutes. She did a fantastic job. I drive 2 hours to this store and will do it again!

I was buying a TV there, Brendan was working in that sectiob and he was super helpful. I know most things are bought online but sometimes, when you need help, its just nice to get that help in-person.

Chris and his co-worker did a great job on the deliveries for our household. A week ago they delivered a washing machine, and this week a refrigerator. They also did a great job on following safety protocols during pandemic, and did a great job of removing all products as well. Both items also arrived within a few days, where other stores appliances were on back order.

Dont like that my son stood in line to pay for his items and waited over 15 minutes, we left the store was not busy at all.

My wifes computer ran into issues and wouldnt turn on. I brought it in and Nathan in the Geek Squad took time between appointments to address the issue. It ended up needing to be sent to the manufacturer for a warranty repair. But overall Nathan was very helpful and nice and I really appreciated that.

I took advantage of the pre-Black Friday sale and got a new printer super cheap!! And picked it up at the store 2 hours later!!

Heres what I like about the store: Its quite, big and has good inventory. But the staff are a little erratic. Sometimes they dont attend to you and there are time where they dont let go of you. Overall, its good electronics. I bought my Mac Book their recently and I found the laptop to be in good condition. The prices could be made a little more competitive.

Its a standard best buy, it being not busy means staff are very attentive. It looks great after the remodel. It only loses a star because its just a best buy and nothing special.

I frequent this location for my “tech” needs. Some things to be mindful of:1. Expect to be greeted at the door2. Do not expected to be attended to while shopping, as the employees here are kind of scarce.3. Don’t expect overly exuberant customer service, they give the bare minimum.4. No “real” deals...only $0.01 off of otherwise market price5. Price matching here is stingier than most places6. They never have anything you want in stock. It always has to be orderedOverall my experience here is extremely average....which is okay because anything they don’t have, amazon does, and usually for much cheaper.

The Ithaca Best buy is one of my favorite stores. There is always plenty of parking, the entrances are clean and well-maintained. I am always greeted at the door. Its easy to just browse all of the merchandise, but there are so many people who will offer help when needed. Often Im not really sure what the solution to my need is, but the staff are very good at listening and offering suggestions. Inevitably I leave with the right product at the right price. I also Garner the knowledge to use it, making the most out of my purchase. Then if I feel up to it there is an easy entrance to the mall.

Dont shop here. Rude associates and they dont ever answer the phone. Worst experience I have ever had with a business.

This is a great best buy. While it doesnt have a magnolia show room, it is well stocked and the staff is great. While I wouldnt consider everyone there an expert on all areas of what they sell, they have all been very eager to help.

This Best Buy in Ithaca had everything I was looking for. At first it was hard to find the product I wanted, but the workers were very nice in helping me find my item.

It may be best buy, but it definitely is not best customer service. try calling the store for a simple question about a product. you will be lucky if you get a live person within the first 10 minutes of your call. first you get all kinds of none related information which you have no choice of by passing. then another few minutes to listen to a million of options none of which work for you, then if you get a person, they do not have the answer you need so they would have to transfer you to someone else that may be able to help whom is not picking up the phone.

As much as Ithaca is all about local shopping at mom and pop stores Best buy is my go to electronics store in Ithaca. They have excellent customer service, great pricing and price matching, and knowledgeable sales people. I recently bought a new Sony television, the process was easy, quick and delivery was free. Couldnt be happier.

If you need to get something from here you probably can find it. One thing that I found amusing is the employees here dont want to approach and help me unless I looked approachable.... If you know what I mean..
