My cat food was cheaper-Blue Buffalo so I was happy about that. Got I and got out thru garden center. Also bought my favorite flea spray -works on flies just to let you know and smells great.

Huge Walmart location in Ithaca. There is a large grocery store section in the Walmart. And there is a vision section and pharmacy as well. There is also a Subways Sandwich Chain inside of the Walmart

Typical Walmart experience!!! They have good deals and low prices, the only downside is the people. But! they offer curbside pickup so you can avoid your fellow shoppers.

This is a huge Walmart, they have everything you need for decent prices. They have a huge grocery area and shelves full of vitamins. This is where I prefer to do my grocery shopping. They also have many new self checkout stations that are helpful in a hurry. Before the self checkouts were added, there were only a few cashiers and the lines were all extremely long.

There are no longer cashiers at this location. This works until you need something such as a gift card of a certain dollar amount or if youd like to have a bag to put your groceries in then you need to go register 2 register until you find one that somebody will let you take a few bags which you of course you will pay for each paper bag. Also if you have something that doesnt scan properly and you repeatedly put the code in and it still doesnt work then you wait and wait and wait until the one and only person that can help anybody is done with the other four or five registers that need his assistance in the same manner.

This is one of the cleanest wall Marts I’ve been too. All the shelves were stocked, there was actually an employee who came up to me and asked me if I found everything that I needed which was the first ever for me in a Walmart. Never thought I would say this but I would definitely recommend this Walmart.

Had a flat tire lady at the counter was very rude saying there employees are worthless and suggest to go some where elts then said its a 6 hr before they will get to me. Hello there was only 1 car in the bay and technicians where standing around this place needs do close down asap

Ithaca walmart has Rude managers and hardly ever any registers opened. They dont care about customers. Walmart corporation needs to fire all the rude employees and bring in ones that are nice and care about customers.

The store is clean and well stocked. I only put three stars because they have no cashiers. Im more expected to check myself out without any discount on the items I bought.

Never has enough registers open, and managers are rude about it telling customer the have to use the self serve options. I dont get a paycheck from Walmart so I dont feel I should be expected to work for them.

Its a shame cashiers lost their jobs to make the rich richer.. People need jobs. If I gotta cash out myself I should get a discount for my skills.

Best grocery store Ive ever been to, period.

While my overall shopping experience here was fine, my checkout experience was enough to make me not come back again. I had many items and no bags of my own, so I went to the one line with a cashier (not self-checkout). My items were still in my basket because I figured the cashier could just take them right out of there and check them out. Instead, he looked at me for a couple seconds and then proceeded to DUMP OUT my entire basket of items. This, in turn, crushed and destroyed the cupcakes I was buying. I told him I would no longer be buying those since they were now all upside down… He gave me lots of sass mumbling that he couldn’t check things out when they were still in the basket. Even if this were the case (although, I have never heard a rule saying items still in a basket are un-check-out-able), he could have easily asked me to take the items out and I would have kindly done so. After that, I was clearly struggling to hold all the paper bags (especially since he bagged things very carelessly and somehow made those very rippable bags more rippable). He did not offer to help me and he did not re-bag things in an order that made more sense. He just stared at me as I struggled. Additionally, I asked him if they had a military discount. He said he was not sure and didn’t even bother to ask. When I got home, I realized that several of my items were torn. Possibly because he dumped them out in front of me… Not sure. The fact that he saw no issues with this was pretty ridiculous. I pray he was just having the worst day of his life (which is what it felt like to me). Otherwise, if he treats all customers like this, he should most certainly be fired. Did not interact with the other employees, but assuming they were nicer and more helpful. It’s not hard to beat him at that particular task.

Like all Walmarts, it is a One-Stop shop experience for generic items unless you are looking for something specialized.

On this visit, Walmart did well. I used curbside pickup for 1st time. Fairly quick and easy. Was only for 2 items tho, so more items may lengthen wait.

Have to say lots of people cleaning in appeal, as far as stocked shelves, pretty bare. Cashiers 2 out of all the lanes open. To get some one to assist you, good luck with that. Wasnt impressed with my shopping experience.

Who ever was working the scan and go at this location on 9/4 at 1:30 was NASTY. Apparently something didn’t scanned but we never got an alert or anything so we continued. We got alert at the end that we had to wait for the assistant. When she came she told us something didn’t scan and was talking to us like we were stupid. My dad said TO ME this is why they should have the regular lines open. This worker got nasty and rude and started making nasty comments about people not working because of unemployment. Not sure if she was saying we didn’t work, but we are all health care works and we all work!!! She kept going with her argument even when me and my family were talking among ourselves about it being unfair that we have to scan our own stuff. We weren’t loud, we were talking to each other while she did her job trying to find out what didn’t scan. But that didn’t stop her. She kept going. I eventually stepped in and told my family to stop talking among ourselves because she was too worry about our convo and making nasty comments instead of doing her job!! We don’t need to steal anything!! If something would’ve alerted us, we would’ve notified her. But it didn’t. This is the second issue we had with a Walmart employee over these scan and go machines. DO BETTER WALMART.

The grocery section was small for me. I thought it was the best they have a recycling center at Walmart. Found awesome clearance items. $5 for 6 dress socks. Found a breastfeeding bra for $1.

Store was clean and well organized. Stood in check out line forever as they only had one check out lane manned on a saturday afternoon. Really poor customer service if you ask me. Doubt Ill be back.

Horrible, multi million dollar company but didnt have any bags to out groceries in and 25 registers but absolutely not one cashier, only self checkout which I absolutely cant stand. Why on earth would I want to spend my money and then have to work ( checking myself out and bagging my own items) to purchase my items??

Oh my various gods these places are huge. We found swimsuits on the go. Good prices on frozen fruit too, I noticed. 🥭 Their store brand seltzer has that weird fake sugar in it, but thats not this Walmarts fault. No overnight parking signs were posted, which sucks for our nations camper culture.

This Walmart is so much better then my local Walmart in Sayre pa.. always stocked shelves, clean, and clearance in every section. Not just one isle! Ill make it a point to go to the Ithica Walmart over Sayre any day.

I am always disappointed when I shop here they are very regularly out of an item that I went in for. If youre lucky enough to find an employee in the store the likelihood that you are going to get a nasty look, and exasperated sigh, an eye roll, or completely ignored is extremely high. There are never cashiers open the self checkout is a disaster they have one employee trying to keep an eye on 10 or more registers at one time. Obviously when there is a long wait or a customer has a question and the one employee working at the self checkout has been called to another customer it is frustrating and people get rude as well as employees. When they did the remodel of the store I would say that the store went from a four-star to a one star and I would give anything to have Kmart back. If you go towards closing time you will see an employee in almost every aisle stocking shelves and the things that you over here are absolutely disgusting and youre still ignored almost even more ignored than when there are less employees in the store. Now I am going to tell you that there have been four employees that have always gone out of their way to help me if I have a question. Two Men and two women if youre lucky enough to get any of those four then your experience will go from a one to a four. Sadly though that likelihood is slim to none anymore

Spacious compared to other Walmarts same layout to the Walmart in my hometown easy to find what I needed lots of workers around.

Standard Walmart however the people working here are kind and helpful. During my visit I did not meet any employee who wouldnt go out of their way to help.

Wal mart is great. Theres just a lot of people in there always so I try to avoid it. But not because theres anything wrong with the placeitself or the service

Standard Walmart, goods may be in low supply for bikes, gloves and rubbing alcohol but the store is not too crowded on a weekday morning. Helpful staff when you can find them (thinly interspersed).

One of the better Walmarts I have shopped at. Cleaner than most stores, the only complaint I have is being out of stock on the most unlikely of things but this is probably due to covid or some other stupid reason.

Scheduled a delivery to be dropped off between 4-5 on a Sunday. As of Monday evening, it had never arrived. Switched to Pick Up and got the items. Three days later, the driver tip and deliver charge were charged to my account. After about 7 or 8 called with the store and Walmart.com, the charges were credited. WAY more of a hassel than convenience. I’ll just stick with other businesses. WM falls short ever time.

If you play Wal-Mart backwards at 56rpm you will hear the words, Necessary Evil.I always leave Wal-Mart with what I needed (or close enough) at a decent price. But I also leave with my soul slightly less intact, chipped away bit by bit by the general malaise of humanity that I am inevitably confronted by when I witness the regulars that frequent that store.

Shelves are not always stocked the way you would think they would be and for what it cost you shouldnt have to check out your own purchases and some of the workers are very rude

20 self checkouts and only 2 regular checkouts open on Superbowl Sunday, and not one line moving, these cashiers dont deserve 14.50 an hour never in my life seen cashiers move so damn slow. Not one cart inside the store and the one guy collecting carts is taking his sweet time. Its time minimum wage went back to $6 an hour.

I had 2 cashiers helping me and they were so pleasant and friendly I loved their customers service skills

Let me tell yall about Martha. She is the worst. I was a customer and asked her for help and she seemed chirpy at first but when talking to her employees she dropped her voice and rolled her eyes at them/ She talked to adult employees as if they were children and undermined them. She is so snarky. As a customer she also was no help and did not really care about helping me. After talking to employees around who apologized for being understaffed, i was told that people are quitting because of Martha. They basically repeated everything i said and i agree that she is snarky and thinks she is above her station.

Since the start of the pandemic, this has been my go to for groceries. Pick up is free and the grocery price isnt as inflated as instacart. Shoppers do a nice job picking out perishable items. Attendants are cheerful, friendly and masked.

Its Wal Mart. Every Wal Mart Ive even been in across several states needed a good cleaning. The stone floors theyve switched to serve only to make the stores look even dirtier.

They just stopped using the tower for pickup. 😠 Now everything is curbside. 😒 Ill miss it. The tower is way better for small purchases.

The walmarts in ithaca. NY was very dirty. Dirty rubber gloves by the toys.

Shelves were half stocked, lots of missing items. Poor customer service in the electronics department today as well. Not to mention a 10 minute wait in my checkout line.

I did find a lot of isles empty, I think its safe to say I was utterly disappointed in the place.

They had no human tellers. People who only had cash were walking out empty-handed.

I dont want to even rate Walmart in Ithaca 1 star. I had to use the self checkout. I had beer which the attendent couldnt approve because he is under 21. NO one came to approve my purchase for the beer. The wait was so long that it canceled my complete order that I had already scanned and bagged.

The staff are nice, the store is clean but there are always a lot of people because it’s a college area.

No complaints. Its your average Walmart, which would usually get 4 stars but I appreciated the lady supervising the self checkout line offering an additional cart if I needed it after bagging everything.
