I would not recommend to any females that do not know much about cars. I asked for a tune up and My check engine light was on and thats what I explained to the guy up front. He quoted me a price of $430 and I said okay because I do know tune ups are costly. After about 5 minutes he came back and said he has to charge another $135 or something for gaskets because they had to take off something... I said okay because I just wanted my jeep fixed. After an hour, my jeep was done and when I left it was still doing the same thing. I called back later to ask how much would it cost for a tune up, the store manager quoted me a price of $370 so I went back up there because I was over charged and they did not give me a tune up, they had only replaced my spark plugs. The store manager said the guy should have insisted for a diagnostic test first because thats what they are supposed to do and that this has been happening a lot lately with this guy. I took it back this morning to find out I need a coil pack which is another $440. This is bad business because even with getting a diagnostic test and the quote of the tune up it would have still been cheaper than what I paid for spark plugs and I do not appreciate getting scammed out my money.

I refuse to go anywhere else after coming here initially for my oil change and the second time for my major repairs. They’re the absolute best here and definitely deserve raises lol they’re willing to work with you and let you know everything that’s wrong with your car. Would highly recommend.

I had synthetic oil change, which includes: tire rotation, check tire pressure, top off all fluids, 21-point inspection with a printout given to me with the status. $52. Very reasonable for peace of mind. I was surprised when I went 2,000 miles over the time to have it changed, to find out everything is fine. I just need 4 new tires. I always take my vehicles there.

I was on my way to family vacation and had a minor issue. I had my car towed to this location. The staff was super kind and friendly and offer me a very quick resolution to my minor issue. Thanks to them, I am now at the beach!

I would not recommend this place for anybody as I took my vehicle and to have my AC replace due to it blowing out warm air by the time I left I had a broken Air Duct that had to be replaced. nothing but hot air blowing out of my AC also On top of that they told me they did not know what needed to be done to fix the AC in my truck I am overly frustrated due to having to wait and wait and wait and not have my truck fits in a timely manner only to be told that I needed to go back to the dealership and have them fix my AC because they are not sure what needs to be done. My ac was at least working and blowing cold on one side now it’s only blowing nothing but hot air

Our mechanic Sean helped us greatly with a stuck battery! The entire facility is filled with nice helpful people. They worked with us to fix what was needed. It was very cheap, fast, and well explained. Go here if you need help! We will return if we need repairs again.

Kenny and the whole staff provided great service. I went in for an oil change and alignment. It was discovered that I need a ball joint replaced. Since it was late in the day (5pm), I would need to drop the car off the next morning. The problem was that I needled to go out of town that day for an appointment. When I called to let Precision know that I was having trouble locating a rental car and would not be able to bring the car in, they made a call and were able to locate a rental car for me. I was able to drop off my car to be worked on, go to my appointment, and pick up my car that afternoon. Thank you for the excellent customer service and going the extra mile for your customers.

I brought my 2004 BMW 325I here and is really hard to find any shop to touch a bmw as it is. From the moment I walked in I was helped in a very timely and respectful manner. To say the least Sean was the one working on my car and he showed me from start to finish what he was doing and explaining everything He was doing to the car. I recommend out of any other shops I’ve been too in town.Before and after pictures. Hopefully this makes this shop more creditable. And also great prices.

Went in because my check engine light came on. When I checked the code it said most likely it was just my gas cap. I brought my car in and told them the code and said I feel like It could be a gas cap problem since I just bought a new gas cap. The code was P0455 which could potentially mean a leak but most likely just a gas cap problem. They said they would need to check for leaks and needed to do a vape check which would cost $121. Feeling I could trust them that they must have seen something I went along with the charge. After an hour the girl comes out to tell me it was just my gas cap and they could get me a new one for 44 plus tax. Fuming at this point I mentioned again that when I walked in I said it could be just my gas cap. She proceeded to say they could only know that was the problem with this test. I highly doubt that was the only thing that could have been done. If I could give no stars I would. They price gouge there customers and dont listen to what the customers says. $121 dollars for her to tell me it was my gas cap when I mentioned that it could have been that in the beginning is so messed up. Then trying to sell me a $44 gas cap when I found a brand new one on the Kia website for less than $15. I will never go to them again they only see you as a credit card and not as a customer. They mentioned that I had the wrong gas cap but since the check engine light code was cleared it hasnt come back. So all my car needed was a reset of the check engine light code. Dont waste your money here there are better mechanics in the area.

Ive been dealing with this place for awhile theyve been good but just recently came in for a oil change and they left the oil cap off and just under the hood on top of the fuse box good thing I looked under the hood.. I cant blame them due to the fact for human error but its just standard I feel.. but nonetheless they are good

They did a good job with the oil change and tire rotation. Less than 40 minutes my vehicle was done. The only problem I have that they keep using a 3000 miles oil change sticker. No one changes oil every 3000 miles these days. With the engines and upgraded oil they use the minimum should be 5000 miles. Need to update this.

I went there for a wheel alignment a couple months ago, I pulled out of the shop my car was pulling hard to one side I brought it back in and told them that it was pulling, front desk was very rude and made it seem like it was my fault then I noticed the mechanic (young guy) was using a torch to heat up my brand new tie rods that I literally just installed not even an hour before bringing it in. He assured me that my alignment was perfect this time now two months later all four of my brand new tires are bald and I pulled the car in with my power steering working and pulled out with no power steering.. would not recommend this shop to anyone.

Went here for a vrake caliper replaced, with cost $550 wich was fair to my standards. They called me to state that I also needed new struts on my rear wheels with would be another $500. I told them not to worry bout the struts because I know there was no problem with them.Few months later I had to get new tires and noticed my locking lug nut adapter was missing. They had stolen or lost ut from the last time so I had to ruin a socket to get them off. Not the greatest place I would say.

My Daughters car had a dead battery. So the Tow Service took it straight to the Business, never asked where to take it or anything. Once looked at by Precision, they quoted a battery replacement of 395.00 dollars for a 2014 Dodge Journey. 215 for the Battery, 78 for diag, 85 for labor and tax etc...the original quote was 350 but, after discussion of price and if they do Military discount, no they don’t AND it went from 350 to 395 because, they “misquoted” the first one.In addition, they did not put the wheel well guard back on from the diagnostic, so it fell off while driving and broke (they won’t replace it though) and broke the front lower wind dam (they say it must have been the tow truck, but the tow truck used chains to pull onto flatbed) Absolutely HORRIBLE service, misquoted price and gouging and non professional treatment I have ever had. I think the towing service should start taking vehicles elsewhere unless they are in on it.Replaced the battery for 115 dollars. This is the kind of mechanic place that will absolutely tear your vehicle up so you have to come back and extremely dishonest. I’d love to be contacted to discuss. They know who they screwed, contact them and you will find me.

Super friendly service our mechanic was Sean he helped us out and got us up and running. We had a stripped bolt that was very rusted from the battery acid and he talked us through everything and tried out anything and everything he could. Will definitely be coming back again if we ever have car problems.

Took my car for a service because i had a check engine light. when i dropped the car off they told me i needed to get valve cover gasket and tube seals replaced, that cost was 660$ i was in shock when they told me the price but the i went ahead and did it and they guaranteed that the problem was going to get fixed and resolved. i pay them and went on with my day. the next day comes around and i get a check engine light. so i call them and they told me to bring the car back and i did. i dropped the car off at 08 in the morning and didn’t hear from them until 4pm in the after noon after i called them. they told me that hey had fixed the problem. took the car back and same thing next day check engine light came on. took it back the next day and the one guy was being super rude telling me that there could be multiple reasons why the car still has a check engine light but they reassured me that when i got the valve cover gasket replaced and tube seals the problem was going to get fixed. they suggested for me to change the spark plugs and so i spent 100 dollars and changed them my self and still check engine light came on. took the car back once again at 08 in the morning and six hours go by and not a single call or anything i had to call them to see if the car was done and they told me to bring the car to get looked at by the dealership so now i have to spend more money on getting the car fixed after i has spend over 800$ at this point. i do not recommend you going to this place take it from experience i am very disappointed in their quality of work and professionalism.

They used the wrong transmission fluid and charged me more than the dealer. Also misdiagnosed my CEL and cost me $300 to not even fix the problem. They will destroy your transmission stay away

Ridiculously overpriced diagnostics charge and even though they fixed it.. it was still charged. Parts were twice what they were at local store. Had I not been in a time crunch Id have left.42 $ shop fee charge for a wiper motor replacement !!! For what ... what supplies.. motor in and motor out.This used to be a locally ran and trusted place.. if you do go.. ask to see your old parts and ask what brand they install and where they got them from.Good luck

My husband was quoted $475 over the phone for a requested service. Upon arrival, he was informed that the quote was incorrect and due to all these other things that werent factored in, it jumped to $680. The very least the shop could have and SHOULD have done was meet him in the middle. The error was entirely their fault, not my husbands.Were not so stupid as to fall for a bait and switch. I could tell the place was busy in this particular day, but the customers should be very mindful as to how theyre charged.

Took my car back to Precision two days after they changed my oil after I noticed my car leaking oil when it wasn’t leaking any oil on the ground previously to having them change my oil. They told me it wasn’t their fault, it was a valve cover gasket that needed to be replaced and that was the reason it was leaking but couldn’t show me where, just told me that the hole had gotten bigger. Turns out they put a hydraulic filter on my car that does not go in my car, says it in big bold red letters when you look it up. It was also leaking from the drain plug where apparently they misplaced the gasket that goes on my drain plug. I will never go back to Precision again for any services. Taking the filter they put on my car, along with the receipt back tomorrow to get a refund.

Corey and his staff have been great with my van. its driven hard and gets lots of wear and tear. thereve done everything from oil changes to engine replacement. Wouldnt take it anywhere else.

These guys are alright. They saved me the money on a tow and got my truck sorted out quickly and cleanly. During my time in the waiting area they impressed me with the professional and courteous way they handled the other customers as well.

Took our car here for a check engine light and was told the turbo and cat needed replaced both got replaced at a cost of $2600 the next morning the car is leaking oil and we take it back to be told the pcv valve needed replaced at a cost of $796 we picked out car up to get a 2nd opinion as that had just been replaced last year and asked for pricing at Marine Chevy in case it was in fact that part and was told it was only $342 for part and labor they looked over the vehicle and it wasn’t that pcv valve at all it was something completely different with a cost of $288. If you don’t want to loose money I’d definitely go to other places and get a 2nd opinion. They wanted to charge us over $400 more for a part to be replaced that wasn’t even the issue.

Utterly disgraceful to the Auto mechanic community. Went for a simple A/C charge which was performed in a timely manner. After the charge was complete I went in and was informed it didn’t blow cold but that could be because of another issue, at the end of the day not the end of the world; they did what I asked. When I get back into my vehicle I go to put it into gear and the shift stick spun into a 360 and was unable to go into 1st and 2nd. I went back in to ask if they knew what had happened to it and was informed “it was like that when we got it, must’ve been you”. They were true about one thing, I had known that it occasionally did skip out of place and cause this issue but it was not happening when I brought it there. I fixed it when I returned home. Bottom line Honestly goes a long way and These Money thirsty under trained “mechanics” do not deserve your business if they can’t be honest about a simple accident.

Had my parking brake adjusted. My knowledge of parking brakes were not up to snuff for adjustment after I replaced all components inside. They did adjustment and lubrication in about an hour for a great price! I never go to shops but after reading reviews I decided to go and I was not disappointed! Definitely will recommend to friends and family for services.

Weve been taking our vehicles to Precision Tune for years! Great service! There are some repairs they are unable to do there but pretty much any of the most common repairs they can accommodate.

I’ve been coming here for YEARS and each and every time I come, I’m highly satisfied. In my opinion, this is one of the best auto shops in town, with very honest and caring people who won’t steer you wrong and always look out for your best interests and safety, plus will find alternative solutions to help you in the event your vehicle is close to showing severe signs of needing repairs. My last 4 vehicles I’ve brought here, and even now on my 5th vehicle which is brand new, instead of taking it to the manufactured dealership, I still bring my car here. They know their customers. Again I have ZERO complaints! :)

Needed my car inspected. I walked in, they were very personable and welcoming. Service was awesome and faster then they thought.

First come, first serve service. Depending on when you go the wait can be 30 minutes to 2 hours. Good work, nice employees, helpful advice. No hand sanitizer or cleaning of areas as people come in and out. I was there for 2 hours today and did not see a single seat or counter cleaned. Professional people, need work on cleaning the space.

They are always quick and treat me like I am their only customer when working with me. They also always make me aware of what they find wrong with my cars but never get pushy to make me feel cornered to fix my car issues with them.

Do not trust this companymake sure you get any price or anything you discuss in writing because once you take your vehicle in there all of a sudden they don’t know what price you’re talking about and they come with some out of the pocket price I called AutoZone right in front of their face and AutoZone is $100 cheaper for the part than what they’re telling me they are

I love the service here. I haven’t ever had to worry about making an appointment, which is convenient for my busy schedule. They’re always nice and do their best to get you in and out in a timely manner. The prices are GREAT here and they’re very patient with any questions.

Sent my truck in there to get exhaust work done, they failed 3 times at fixing my exhaust and sent me out with it sounding 10x worse then it did when I sent it in. Not to mention charging me $800 for a terrible sounding exhaust leak aswell as a check engine light because the mechanic failed to reconnect my bank 2 O2 sensor and they also failed to give me back my wheel lock. Doesn’t even deserve a 1 star that’s just as low as it will let me go. Definitely do not recommend.

I usually come here for an oil change so I decided to come here because my car was shaking and my check engine light was blinking, they ran a diagnostic for me and told me it was gonna cost 980 dollars to get it fixed, I took the diagnostic and took it to LaPoints Automotive solutions and had a much better experience they were so sweet and made you feel welcome and basically laughed at my diagnostic and said that precision auto tune ripped me off and that they could fix it for HALF the price, they also mentioned that it wasn’t the first time they’ve had to fix precision auto tunes mistakes and they fixed it right there for me, the car runs better than ever so highly recommend LaPointes and am not going back to Precison

Summary: I will never get my oil changed here again and would advise anyone else to steer clear of this place.What follows is my experience at Precision Tune Auto Care on 11/19/2019:Arrived and was greeted by Brad. Brad was pleasant to speak to. Ordered the premium oil change package. Came back after a call from Brad to let us know the car was ready.Brad informed us that precision tune auto care had broken our wheel key.What would the shop do about breaking our wheel key? At this point, nothing except charge us full price for the oil change package.How do we get a new key? We spent awhile in the car and LUCKILY had our original lock-key registration card. We now have to mail that in, pay money, and HOPE that the lock-key will be sent to our new address, as we are just about to move to a new house. We will be traveling now without our lock-key >:|We left the shop and started driving home.Soon we heard a thud thud thud thud sound coming from our car which sounded like our car was being damaged.At this point were quite annoyed.We drive carefully back to Precision Tune Auto Care.We talk to Brad, he has our car taken back in and checked. I asked him what was wrong with the car, he said that some molding hadnt been re-pinned back into place by the technician that worked on the car (thats what I got out of the explanation).At this point Im angry. Brad offers to reimburse us for the lock-key if we bring back our receipt.Unfortunately, our time is worth way more than a couple bucks for this key. On top of all of this, there are black smudges on our cars white hood from where the technician put his hands.I mean what the heck! Just the absolute basics would have been good enough for us. Instead we came out having to figure out how to get a new lock-key for our tires, had to bring the car back, and we now wont have the key for when we drive to our new house.

I came in today for an alignment and it was painless. $69 for an alignment wow! Called several places and your not going to find that deal! Plus they do give a military discount! If you get tires from discount tire and head over to Precision for an alignment youll get $10 off. Thanks for taking care of me! Ill be back in the future😊

I had a bad experience in Wilmington and figured Id give the one here in Jacksonville a try Corey was very convincing so I trusted him I bought 2 of my past cars here and they were pretty awesome about fixing them. I recently bought my truck here and was told it had a slow leak which I have yet to see a drop of oil on my drive way nor on the motor since I cleaned it I had my spark plugs changed and I was working on my radiator and I pulled the skid pan out from under the car and one of the old ones fell out in my hand. So I figured ok cant go wrong with a wheel alignment and again I was told I needed new tie rods they were seized I needed inner and outer it would be close to 700 dollars with parts and labor. I wanted a second opinion so I took it to a alignment specialist and they looked at my tie rods and said they were fine and did my alignment. 65 dollars. So if I could give them no stars I would Corey you definitely need to check your employees and make them do their job not all car problems will be easy

Yesterday I called and asked Brad if I might bring my 2012 Camry by for an oil change. It wasnt a busy day, so they were through in thirty minutes while I waited. I find Cory and Brad are always helpful to get my car worked on and finished in a reasonable time for a reasonable cost.I appreciate the professionalism and attention to details they show. Thx

Our daughter is in NC visiting a friend. Her car wouldnt start earlier today she went to/had it towed to precision Auto in Jacksonville NC they said they would look at car and call her she offered to wait they said no they will call that was at 1pm . They NEVER CALLED her she was calling from 4pm on no answer so she is stranded with no car 7hrs from home. Do not take your car here . They still have her car and its a holiday weekend. They have her keys . We are disgusted to put it lightly. We will not be allowing them to fix her vehicle. Call to corporate has been done!!!

The front guys are super helpful, and make the entire process go smoothly. The service is great and so are the people. The building is clean. And they have a restroom.

Went in for an inspection.. broke my driver side sun visor, I can’t see as it is and manger was rude and said he did me a favor by passing me could have cost me several dollars so he saved me. I’m sure my husband would appreciate this who is a Police Officer! Thank you again for the inspection and a broken sun visor! Would not recommend any service from them. Very unprofessional!

I took my vehicle here and they diagnosed it as the water pump, which is the correct diagnosis, and that is where it all went wrong for me. I was told the part alone was over $300 and with labor it will be $799 and some cents. Upon hearing this which DID NOT sound right to me, I started calling around the highest price I got from the places I called was $396 parts and labor with a lifetime warranty. I also searched on line and call around to price this part (water pump) prices ranged from $86 to $178. When I asked why their price was so much higher I got to usual run around that businesses do when they are caught trying to highball a customer I will not recommend this place to anyone if this is the type of business they do, I am also sure that this post will get a response from the owner or someone at this business disputing this but I am telling the world that this is what happened to me. Good luck future customers hopefully you get treated the right way a fair price for the service provided.

Everyone is very nice. You tell them the problem with your car and they take a full look at it and then before they work on the problem they will tell you exactly how much it is going to cost you and if you are comfortable with the findings. I have been going here for years and probably will continue. Even if I move somewhere else, I would still come back for them to do maintenance work on my vehicle.

We had the car towed to Precision never again. We were quoted $1,600.00 to have the radiator and thermostat replaced. We were on vacation visiting a good friend of mine. Way to take advantage of someone from out of town. I am telling all my friends and family members about my experience to NEVER use you guys.

Very helpful, took a look and figured out the problem with out having to charge. Replaced defective part and helped find items in my budget. And they fixed the problems there were caused from working on the car for free.100% would go back.

Took van in twice, after paying twice and they couldnt fix and said need new engine. I got a second opinion and after months of time and money at the dealership, it was confirmed. I need a new engine. This is a edited piece on van. With another vehicle, messy work on an oil change, they tried to make it right, 2 months later, still smelling oil when I drive. Theyre all nice guys, just wont be going back there.

Went here on 02/01/2020, To get my oil changed. 3 weeks later I have no oil in my vehicle & my car started smoking. Looked under the hood to see if I can get an idea of what was wrong with my vehicle. I see I have a huge oil leak. Brought my vehicle back to see where the oil was coming from and why they did not advise me that I had a leak. They apologize and told me I have a leak coming from The Timing cover and valve cover gasket. They further advise me it would be 1,200 to fix my car because it was a 7hr job & my parts would be expensive. I HAVE A VOLVO S40 THEY DON’T HAVE TIMING COVER OR VALVE COVER GASKETS !!!! it was simply the PCV Valve that was a 40 dollar part and takes around 20 mins to install. As well as after they rotated my tires my alignment was off. I ask for them to correct that. They DIDNT even do THAT. Thankfully. I’m a smart female and researched my car before believing anything they told me. I won’t be coming back here obviously and this is the first review I have I had to write about a place but It had to be done. If your a female don’t go alone.

I have been to Precision Tune Auto Care twice now and both times I have received the best customer service. They are kind, knowledgeable, fairly priced, and efficient. Not being from the area I did not know where to take my car but I was very happy with my decision to come here. I trust them completely with my car and highly recommend them to anyone.

Corey and Bill have always been great to work with. This place is honest, fast, professional and great to work with. I have been using them for the last three years and have never had any issue. I highly recommend them!

Okay so the cheapest place in Jacksonville for sure to get a quality oil change for your ride the guy for good sat there and talked to me the whole time and did their work in fact they got me out of there 30 45 minutes faster than what they even said they would so if your car needs an oil change or several other things done brakes transmission fluid needs changed radiator fluid I suggest you take it to them precision tune Auto Care great place to go thanks guys!!!

My first time posting a review as I dont like to sway the opinion of anyone or damage the flow of a business. I tried to address a problem that did not start until after my vehicle was serviced and was made to feel as though I had no idea what I was talking about. They rotated and balanced my tires during an oil change. Afterwards, the car was shaking, noisy, and turning to the right side. I was told it was my tires or I probably need an alignment. It did NOT do that prior to the oil change . I understand I am female and do not work on vehicles for a living but I also know when my vehicle pulls to one side that something is not quite right. Needless to say, they did give my car a lookover and addressed the problem so I do give them 2 stars.

I went in there to get a part fixed on my suspension and they helped me out so much. There extremely nice and professional and fast. There amazing at what they do. Best auto shop I have ever been to in my books! Thank you so much Sean.

We love Precision Auto Tune! Weve been looking for a good, trustworthy place to take both of our cars to get oil changes and other maintenance needs that might come up. We are so thankful we found Precision Auto Tune. The prices are very reasonable, I never feel like Im getting ripped off (like at Jiffy Lube). I trust that we leave our cars in good hands and are getting the best care for them at the best price they can give us. Josh has been extremely helpful and understanding with us. We highly recommend Precision Auto Tune!

Went in to get my thermostat replaced cause another mechanic told me it was that. Brought it in here and turned out to be just a loose hose. They didnt have to tell me that, they could of took the money and replaced it but instead were honest and helped me out for a fraction of what it would of cost

Great service and they don’t overcharge for anything. The techs are real nice and knowledgeable. They don’t try to screw you over with anything, just tell you the facts and the best options to fix the problem
