Our salesperson, Kathleen, was fantastic! She was quick and courteous and had exactly what I needed at a terrific price. And the installation team was phenomenal! They were so polite and professional. They installed the whole house on time and cleaned up like they were never even there. I won’t add pics because we’re still moving in and it’s total chaos but everything looks just like I envisioned it. Thanks!

We experienced nothing but the best professionalism and value with Watkin Flooring. We changed our flooring from white oak wood flooring to a chocolate brown wood flooring, and we received absolutely superb service when picking out our new flooring. Prior to installation, Watkins Flooring dispatched a project manager to review and examine the details of the installation. He and his terrific team of installers noted a complication that required a complete change in the installation concept. They effectively worked out an alternative installation plan and set it into action! The installation team, led by Salvador, was simply terrific! They were so very professional and careful to perform the installation in optimal manner! They installed the new wood floor flawlessly, and its appearance and beauty reflect their diligence and attention to every detail! The job was very large - we refloored a large great room, removed tile and replaced the flooring in the kitchen, dining room, the formal dining room, and in the hallway to the bedrooms. Salvador and his team worked professionally through every challenge; we couldnt have been more pleased! Considering the size and complexity of our flooring job, we received wonderful value and beauty with the installation of the new wood flooring! I couldnt recommend a flooring company more highly!

I was looking for a remnant to match my old carpet and found it there!

Let me start by saying, This was by far the best place we could have chosen to get our flooring. My wife and I were contemplating getting new flooring in our home within the next year or so, and conveniently enough, hurricane Florence decided to roll in and incentivize our decision making process.Our entire experience with Watkins was top notch. This is also coming from someone whos never purchased flooring before so there is that. I HAVE however, a lot of experience in dealing with people and various places of business. The Customer Service offered by Watkins Flooring is some of the best it has been my pleasure to deal with. They answered all of our questions, did not employ the pushy sales tactics that you get from other businesses (again, first time buyers of flooring but I can imagine)The owner personally came out to our house to do the measuring. As much as I would like to think it was because of how awesome we were and the money we planned to spend, I know it is standard procedure for them. While in our home, Mr. Watkins talked to us about our choice, the Cortec (Broad Spar Oak) and answered all the questions we had. With 2 children and a dog, we needed some durable stuff. From what we had read about Cortec, it seemed like the best choice and Mr. Watkins assured us we would have no issues!Installation went quick. The crew showed up at 930ish and were done with our entire home at 330! Everything looked perfect. No gaps, no shifting slats, none of the same issues like what our last flooring had.I cannot say enough for how great this company is. Should I ever buy another home in this area and it be in need of better flooring, I will most definitely be using Watkins Floor Covering again.For those one the fence, go for it. Don’t get your floors done with Watkins! They can sell you the product and take your money but they don’t have good communication with the people who actually do the job. They start a project and leave it incomplete for weeks! They give excuses after excuses and not even the owner Donnie cares about the lack of communication between their sales and installers. What a friendly staff! I was treated great looking for flooring after the hurricane. I found everything I needed to provide my contractor with my flooring. They came out like the next day and measured and were just so respectful and helpful. The prices were also great and their ability to help you with turning your ideas into reality were great. Cant wait to have it all installed!

After calling around to several Flooring companies, Watkins was the only company who actually came out when they said they would to give a quote on replacing our commercial grade flooring. We were able to get on the schedule to have our new flooring put down sooner than I expected. Jaime was very polite, professional and easy to work with. They did an amazing job on our floors (all our customers comment how great It looks) and have been great about answering our many questions in a timely matter!

I highly recommend Watkins Floor Covering! I visited their store yesterday and was greeted by the sweetest receptionist. I needed 2,000 sq feet of something very durable and water resistant. The sales person showed me all the LVT they had in stock and I fell in love with the Coastal LVT Collection. I will have it installed next week and can’t wait! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had such a great experience that I knew I had to post a review!

Great group of folks. Especially Donny and Theresa. We had a busted water heater that ruined flooring in several rooms. We came in not knowing exactly what we wanted. With their help, we found some carpet. They gave us an estimate on it that was considerably less than what the competition gave. Install was fast, installers were courteous and professional. Their work is amazing. I can not give them enough praise. Floor looks amazing. Will definitely be doing business with them and them only.

It was over a year ago. The flooring I had gotten cut for my job was vinyl sheet/linoleum.It was a woodgrain vinyl and dark espresso colored planking pattern. This was going throught the whole home, so this needed to be followed to a cut list I provided with them. LENGTH and WIDTH were marked and listed with the cut list in order.Left side LENGTHRight side WIDTHMy last cut they provided was L15x132W (the vinyl being 15 foot wide special order, getting new would take quite a while).They decided 15 foot wide by 132 length would work and cut it wrong.This caused me to have to turn only one room a different direction to avoid a full length seam. (which I did not have vinyl for).Now the house looks wonderful, not counting the obvious seam and turned bedroom. No help loading it into my pick up either, which was poor character if you ask me.

Be extremely careful when ordering flooring from this store. We wanted to change our selection after deciding on taking a different route to do it. I was told I have to pay for first order because their store is unable to return it from wherever they ordered it from. It is still on the truck and has not even made it to their store yet. What a bunch of BS! Now to do my floor it is going to cost twice the price. I will never again do business with this store!I ordered this over the phone and was NOT told about your store contract about special orders. If I would have been informed while placing the order over the phone, it would have prevented.

Watkins Flooring helped us with a custom shower install. Every step of the way, they kept us up to date on the latest progress and even offered suggestions on what we could do since we didnt have a specific shower design in mind. We were basicallly designing the shower on the fly with questions Theresa and Tom were asking while they were installing the shower tiles. We only provided the tile selection. Watkins Flooring showed that they care about customer service and wanted to do the job right the first time to make the customer happy. Toms tile craftsmanship is exceptional and he definitely takes pride in his work. Since we were building a house 400 miles away, trusting Watkins Flooring with the shower installation has been a huge stress reliever since we know it will be done right.

I wont be going with them personally, but Im sure theyre great, as they have so many other good reviews.Sidnote and in reply to the owners response: Thank you for the free estimate. I never asked for a free one and I would gladly pay any professional for their time.Also, no Im not interested in putting the cheapest products in my home, thank you for the offer though. It had been 3 days and I didnt hear anything back so I was simply touching base to see if there was any update or info about the estimate I was told I would receive (I specifically asked about the process twice). Thats when I was told (after the fact) that I could not have any sort of estimate whatsoever unless I physically came in to the store first. Had this been mentioned to me prior, it wouldnt have even mattered.It was irritating to be told one thing and wait for it, then call and be told- there is no such estimate even being worked on until I come in-a pretty important piece of info that I wish I had been made aware of...Then after calling, emailing and leaving a google review, I receive an estimate..without coming in.Lastly, apologies- My Google username isnt my full name spelled out. But yes- you have the correct person - I thought it was clear due to my initials, I just called and spoke with you and the email I sent prior, which also included my full name- all coincided directly with my previous review and all that communication was made within about maybe 2 hours of one another. So yes, to clarify- this is Mrs. Stone.For anyone else reading this review that may consider going with this company- The representative they sent out to measure my home was professional, knowledgeable, clean-cut, had a nice work vehicle and great all around (also had high-tech equipment for accurate measurements). My experience with my estimate was probably a rare occurrence. They were actually the only company I ever even called out for a quote because Im not interested in wasting my time with multiple different contractors. I was set on going with them due to their prior reviews and recommendations; they seem to blow everyone else out of the water. I know their work would have probably been great.

Great prices and many types of flooring to choose from

BEWARE of this place. I hired them to do flooring in my house it was nothing but a nightmare. It was suppose to be a simple job come in pull up the flooring and lay the new flooring down. In the process they didnt lay the flooring down correctly the first time, the second time out they damage the new flooring in the bathroom by being careless. I was standing there when the guy did it and heard him say oh S***t after cutting a 3in long cut and than did more damage in another place this time about a good inch long as well. When they layed the flooring in the other room I questioned all the bumps in the flooring and was told not to worry about it they will go away after a couple days, 4 days later they were still there. The owner came out and said they werent bubbles it was glue, and he could try and have his guys roll it out or he would replace it with the cheapest flooring which I find unfair since i paid for better flooring. His crew came out and to no surprise they couldnt roll out the globs of glue under my flooring. Yet again I am left with a floor that has bumps in it because of glue that his workers didnt make sure was evenly spread before laying it down. A bathroom floor thatvhas cut in it. Called back and was told they tried to fix the problem and that there is nothing they can do to fix it. Beware if you plan on using them because in the end you could be stuck with a bad flooring job and out the money. Plus more money. I now have to pay someone to come in and rip it up and lay new flooring plus the cost of the new flooring.BEWARE

Overpriced... customer service lacking. Couldnt answer simple questions. Charging 1.50 more per square foot to install then other flooring places...
