I have been dreaming about their lobster bisque and finally made it there on the Friday before they closed. Although my grilled cheese was very good the small cup of lobster bisque unfortunately was not up to their usual high standards. It was Very salty, had very little fish flavor, just tasted like cream of Old Bay soup and was similar in colorto macaroni and cheese. This is not the soup Ive been dreaming about hopefully it was just a bad day, dont let it stop you from trying them out. The sandwiches are great and usually so is the soup

Wonderful veteran led business.The food and welcome continues to be great. They surprise us with new delights everytime we visit. This time the muffins were delicious ( wife loved them)

Love that this coffee house has heartier breakfast options unlike many other coffee places. They have over 55 flavors to choose from for their Steamer of Flavors (steamed milk) options! Super friendly service/staff, tasty food & giant coffee mugs!They have a drive-through as well, which is awesome, & can be considered curb side pickup. Feel free to call ahead for takeout, or get delivery with Uber (uber fees & times may apply). They have 3 booths, a bar w 3 seats, & at least 3 tables in the seating area.Other locations barely have breakfast, leaving both your wallet & stomach starved, but if you go @11am you can choose anything from small muffins to hearty 1/2 paninis & soup combos, with your order of coffee!The place could use a wipe-down around their doors & baseboards, but overall cute. Washroom is for 1, and is wheelchair friendly! No baby changing table, or high chairs/ booster seats. Inside is not stroller friendly as it gets crowded, but outside for the summertime the front patio is open, so Ill come back, & Im sure theres more room then!...

Its the sweetest little spot. The employees as well as the owner are welcoming, genuinely nice people. You can get you a fancy coffee as my kids call it without paying an arm and a leg. Their Blueberry walnut muffin TOPS are delicious! Lots of great bites to choose from. They even have lots of SUGAR FREE options for coffees.

I found this place and went on a whim... the workers here were extremely friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed the Milky Way shake they recommended me! 🥰 Will definitely be coming back!

4 /12/21 was the 1st time my husband and I ate here . Very quaint and warming atmosphere, As soon as we walked we were treat as if they already knew us and made us feel rite at home. I stopped here for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised. I got the apple pecan salad, and I was BLOWN. AWAY. It was, hands down, THEE BEST salad I have ever eaten. All of the ingredients were incredibly fresh and tasty. Everyone who worked there treated me with such kindness. I ordered a decaf coffee, and I was amazed at the bold, delicious taste notes!The only aspect of this experience I was disappointed in was when I overheard a staff member talking poorly amongst themselves about an elderly man they had received a complaint from in the past. I was saddened at the language that was chosen by the staff to describe this older gentleman. While I understand the concept of venting, its also incredibly important to be wise about your decision to do so when customers arent too far away...and to maybe rethink your decision to talk poorly about someone in general. Peoples actions can cause anger to rise up in us, but how we choose to deal with that speaks volumes about who we are.Besides that situation, I enjoyed my time at Brewed Downtown and will definitely be back!

I’ve been coming here every day for a little over a week. I highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches and yesterday I got the kickin’ chicken sandwich for lunch... It was, hands down, the best sandwich I’ve had in years. Eric and Michelle are always extremely kind.

This is the absolute best cafe in town. The food is incredibly good as are the drinks. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint. The staff is friendly, efficient, and fast. My husband and I went here for a book date, and it is now my new favorite place. I only wish they were open longer, so we could go there more often.

Stopped in yesterday after my Dads radiation treatment for a bite to eat. Not only was the food delicious the staff was kind, loving, and accommodating in working with us. We will definitely be back to enjoy this cozy shop, great customer service, and wonderful food. Thank you so much.

Owners and Staff are always friendly. Michelle, one of the owners, goes around and speaks to everyone and takes care of any needs the customer might have. Michelle bakes homemade muffins and scones, among many other things. I love the peach muffin and like it heated some. The coffee is delicious and always fresh. You may come in and not know anyone there but by the time you finish you arent a stranger anymore!! It is a very cozy coffee shop. It has a nice patio for enjoying the nice weather. Groups such as prayer groups, a group of friends or a committee are always welcome. They have daily lunch specials, such as soup and sandwich. I havent been able to make it for lunch yet, but Im sure it will be amazing. Eric, Michelles husband and the other owner, is the head chef. He doesnt get out and about much in the seating area due to cooking and get food out in a timely manner. If you havent been to Brewed Downtown yet then youre missing out!! Drop by and relax while you drink a cup or two of coffee and enjoy breakfast or lunch. Im sure youll be back!

This place is absolutely wonderful I love it! I came right of surgery and said I want a roast beef panini from Brewed Downtown! (Since I hadnt eaten in about 16 hours) The food is delicious, coffee drinks are fantastic, and the staff is outstanding! Five stars for sure!

The best place to eat in Jacksonville. I would recommend turkey club and lobster bisque and whatever the daily pastry is. Everyone is always so nice it’s truly an amazing place, I recently moved and whenever I go back and visit Jacksonville this is the first place I want to go. Ms.Michelle is always so sweet I was in the hospital a couple of days and she texted me almost every day to see how I was doing. It’s not just a cafe it’s a community.

None of the 5 employees were wearing a mask. No patron was wearing a mask other than me; one patron removed his mask as soon as he entered. A patron was coughing and didn’t cover her mouth. I didn’t see anyone using hand sanitizer between patrons checking out. This is NOT a COVID safe place and is in direct violation of the mask mandate.

Friendliest staff, welcomes you in to their restaurant just like you’re family. Great coffee, I recommend trying their signature Carolina espresso drink or the coffee flavor of the day. For lunch they have alternating soups and sandwiches. Try their potato salad, definitely one of best potato salads I’ve eaten. I’d also recommend their chicken salad. There’s nothing like this restaurant in Jacksonville.

I LOVE this place. Their prices are a little higher than regular coffee shops but the quality and quantity of food and great service is SOOOO worth every penny. If youre looking for a regular coffee place to go to, this is absolutely better than any Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. They have an awesome staff and theyre really respectful.I can not praise them enough. This is what a business should operate like.

Came here today with my sister to have some coffee and some breakfast and Im excited that we did. The food was amazing, the service was awesome and the owners were very courteous and friendly. Me and my African American friend walked this afternoon and we were stared at like animals. It was surprising because there was a black family sitting in the restaurant already. Felt like we didn’t belong so we left. Wouldn’t recommend. Also, when sitting down, our table and the chairs were pretty dirty. Had to ask to have it cleaned.

I loved Brewed Awakenings! I work down the road and go there sometimes for lunch. Their muffins are great, I usually get the blueberry but sometimes they have an orange cranberry that is amazing. Their staff is great and have been sweet enough in the past to even warm up soup for me that was in the fridge that wasnt on the menu for the day because Im a vegetarian. Definitely try them out.

What I love the most, other than the amazing variety of coffee drinks they offer, is the staff. These folks are warm, welcoming and act as though theyve know you a lifetime. Such a down to earth, great group of ladies and gent :) I have to say there are other friendly coffee houses in the area that serve great coffee too, but nothing beats the staff at Brewed Downtown. They make the whole experience a pleasant one.

They absolutely make the best chai tea in town, I have tried it at Starbucks, DD and a few other places and its just never as good. The food is really good as well. Its a little more on the expensive side but Im willing to pay a little bit more for food thats made to order and fresh. Staff is always very friendly and nice.

This place is adorable! The owner did such a wonderful job- a great place to relax, have lunch, an afternoon pick me up or meet friends. For a coffee shop, I think the menu is pretty extensive- were not talking just scones here. Soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, breakfast items, treats. The staff is always friendly and polite. I have been many times and I love it!

I have been visiting this location for a little over a year now and I have absolutely loved every visit. Michelle and Eric are so kind and caring and have a crew to match! They have seen me through an exhausting pregnancy, crazy hours at work, and more and they always treat me like a part of their family.
