After almost 3 months of waiting I got my knife and it wasn’t even the one I ordered, not to mention it’s a super stiff butterfly knife that I can’t adjust (part of why it wasn’t what I ordered) I’ve sent them emails and messaged them on Instagram with no reply. Not a good company

Waited couple months for our product to show up, tried contacting them several times and never got a response from them. Wasnt even sure if our package would ever be sent to us. After receiving our knife several months later turns out they didnt even send me the actual knife I had ordered. Reached out to contact them again and not sure if well be getting a response back from them or not. Was not worth the wait for their product.

Bought a Swipe IV about a year ago.used it for a couple months and had to return it for repair because the blade was working loose. Had to pay to ship it and add a check for return shipping. After I got it back I didn’t use it for a while. Decided to start using it a couple weeks ago and the blade is already coming loose again. Then yesterday I dropped it less than 3 feet off a workbench and the thumb stud popped out. Won’t be wasting any more money on an inferior product. Gave it 2 stars because I do like the feel of the knife and it is American made but I Will be sticking with benchmade from here on out

Awesome place. Been going to their knife show for years and always walk away with something special. Bear & Son doesnt get near enough credit for the fantastic products they make. One thing Ive noticed is the number of elderly men and women working their knife show. They have an incredible amount of experience in knife making. Love their knives and I always enjoy the yearly knife show. Made in America.

Worked here about a month, the place is heavily mismanaged. The supervisor on floor is lazy and just stays on her phone the entire time.Also all the drug heads that work there from the rehab place make working there uncomfortable. I know people need a fresh start but they all act like high school kids even tho they’re in the mid to late 20s. “Cutting up, yelling, and also hitting on every female that works there”.Heavily understaffed so you’ll be doing more work than you’ll be getting paid for. The place has very old tools and machinery and they’re mice/rats running everywhere.I highly recommend against working here, you’ll save yourself a ton of time.

Worked there for two weeks. Ken, his son Matt, and his wife Sandy are the rudest people to work for. Ken must have early onset dementia, the guy verbally abused me for not knowing where he misplaced an order. Among many other reasons, this man can not run a business, for heavens sake his manager wears pajama pants to work everyday. I worked in the shipping department and the shelves to pull orders from are completely disorganized and empty. This place is a joke. Also potential customers should know most the knives are Chinese and somehow better than the over priced products the do actually produce.

Great place to visit during the annual sale....went on Thur this year - no lines or delays to speak of. Great knives - nice folks!

The annual sale is an essential experience for any knife person. I took my sons on the factory tour and watched the knives being made. It was satisfying to watch the knives being made and purchase a Made in the USA/Alabama product. Great quality products and a locally owned company.

Wow. It looks like a lot of reviews from disgruntled ex-employees. I cant speak to how they are as employers, and Ive never had any interaction with the staff. I bought one of their lock backs second=hand and am very pleased with it. It is a good quality knife, made in USA.

Was told about this place by someone that came into my workplace. Went in and was immediately greeted by friendly people. They have a nice selection of knives on display and I definitely an on buying at least 1 in the future.

Normally not open to the public, but its the knife sale!!! Lots of awesome knifes to choose from! You can order anytime and find them in stores. Nice variety.

We ( my husband, my son and I) all had a pretty good time, I just didnt feel like I was treated like other people were, they didnt act like we were as good as some of the rich folks. They made me feel like they thought we were theives. They kept looking at us like we were going to steal their stuff. But we steal bought a couple of things. My son even mentioned it to his girlfriend (she worked there) that they treated us like we werent welcome. She just made up some lame excuse about theyre really busy and didnt have time to talk. But yet they had all kind of time to talk and laugh with the rich folks. Even the ones who hadnt bought anything.

Only a hand full of these knives are made in house. Most are bought from China and re-branded as Made in America knives. This is a lie. The owner is a crook. As an employee, he had me remove material from pallets of goods, that had just been unloaded. Then he would tell the vendors he was shorted. I have witnessed this first hand. Do yourselves a favor. Buy a Buck knife or Case. Dont support a racist crook

I have several Bear & Son knives. Well-made, good-looking knives made in USA at a fair price. You can sometimes get their knives at an amazing price, depending on the vendor.

Bought my son a multi tool from Bear and Sons because I wanted a USA made legacy gift. The tool is sub par in my opinion for the money. I bought the Bearclaw 4” and my son had it less than 6 month and the wire cutting part of the pliers bent and rolled over. My son is 11 so it’s not from abuse. The hinges I had to oil and work on opening and closing for an hour before I gave the tool to him because it was so stiff.Worst part I sent the tool in for repairs and it took almost a month and a half to get repaired. When it was repaired they sent me the wrong plier so I had to wait another week and a half to get the tool we sent in.I was really excited to order this tool originally and to buy 3 more as my kids grew up and gift each with one. I will have to go elsewhere for the other tools and give my son a different tool so he doesn’t have to deal with subpar materials on a tool that shouldnt roll on small wires.

I worked here and they expect you to be Superman and get out more parts than a normal person is able to. The knifes are way over priced. But the boss man did come up with a great idea when I worked there. If you made it there on time every day of the week then you would get a $20 gift card at the end of each week.

Enjoyed there once a year open house . I bought several Alabama made knives. Plan to go back next November

While I have no intentions on every working for Bear and Sons (seems they have a few pissed off employees) I will say their Product is top notch I have used Bear and Sons Knives for quite some time, IMHO they are some of the best knives money can buy.

This place is a joke. I placed an order, with the shipping address being different from billing...not that unusual, especially around Christmas. The order taker entered the billing address as the shipping address...or, rather, combined the 2 (no idea what she was thinking). Anyway, all tracking said it was delivered 12/18...would have been great, if someone knew WHERE it was delivered. After a few back and forth emails, I realized this company had no intention of assisting me in finding the knife (they got their $$, so why would they want a satisfied customer?).We finally located the knife, (see address issue above) and I emailed to let them know. The response? To say they are sorry for all the trouble (ok, I appreciate the apology).then, they go on to say that the lady who messed up my order took 3 more that day, and they have talked about being careful. (sounds like theyre throwing this woman under the bus). He finished it off by telling me so, she no longer works here. (Sorry, I dont feel its appropriate to tell a customer that.) I would have been more impressed if they apologized again, took ownership as manager (owner?), and said they are taking the necessary steps to ensure there isnt a repeat of this disaster.Obviously, this purchase was a one-time deal, and I will strongly discourage anyone from ordering from them.* the ONE star is because the recipient absolutely loves the knife...

Went to the appreciation sale thus year, got some great deals on knives

I paid about 40 dollars for an American made BEAR and SON,299R-5 RoseWood Lockback. It cost me 6 dollars to sent it in for repair. I also was told to include an 8 dollar check for return postage. About 30 days later, I got a call and was told it would cost me 6 dollars to get the handle replaced!!!! WHAT A JOKE they didnt fix the tension to snap the blade shut.Well I received my knife on 3-24-2018 !It had not been cleaned nor fixed!!!! I cant post pics on this review site. AMERICAN MADE yep!!CHEAP ASS COMPANY, Will never buy another one and WILL NOT recommend this brand to anyone!!!
