D and D Garage doors was excellent. I had another company come out and tell me I needed a whole new door and spring system for over $600. James with D & D swapped the cable systems on each side for $200 even and it works great. He was professional, explained what he was doing, and was very efficient. Highly recommend their services.
Ordered 2 garage doors in May 2021, D&D said the doors would be in at the end of June. One of the doors was delivered and installed in August 😒. The other door was to come in 2 weeks later and when that time came we were not notified so we called and they told us that the door will be in October 22nd 😐. On October 22nd, no door was delivered so we called and was told that we didnt have an appointment for a door to be delivered 🤯. So we reviewed our order and shared that it has been an unexpected experience with this company 🤔. Then we were told that the door will come in next Wednesday. When Wednesday came the wrong door was delivered so thay have to see what went wrong. However our end result is still no door 😟☹.

I added window panels to our existing garage door. What a great company to deal with from start to finish. Sales, customer service and dispatch were fantastic. The installer (Michael) was very capable AND even though it was late in the day and I was his last stop, he noticed that our garage door was noisier than it should be and he lubricated it for us! How great is that!
After having sensor issues with our garage door we called a local company for help. This company came out, took a minute to check this sensors and moved forward to tell me we needed new springs for 799.00. Not sure where that came from?Told my husband lets call D&D, we had used then at the beach years ago. We immediately got an appointment with no problems. The tech came out on time and also called to let us know he was coming.The tech took his time to check the sensors, explaining all the steps he was taking to figure out the issue. After working for some time, he determined the sensors were good just out of adjustment most likely. And the tech went ahead to check the rest of the unit and guess what, the springs were fine too!Thank you D&D for saving me a lot of $$$!

Recently bought a house that had the garage doors installed by them. There is a noticeable gap in the garage door that blows back and forth with the wind and when you open the garage door from the house. I did some googling and the general consensus was to ask for a garage door tune up. So I called them to specifically have them address this gap via garage door tune up. The tech shows up at my place and immediately says he can’t do anything about the gap, but will continue to move forward with the garage door tune up. He’s at my house for maybe 10 minute before he calls for me and says he’s done. Asks me to pay $100 for the tune up which I oblige.I go and look at the garage and the gap is just as big as ever and there’s literally nothing done to my garage door. I called the company asking for a list of what was actually done. The lady on the phone says he lubricated the tracks and tightened a screw. I ask them why that cost me a $100 and she says she’ll send another tech out to look at the door.The next tech gets to my house and says there is still nothing that can be done about the door gap but that he would call his manager to see if he can do anything about the charge. A few minutes later he tells me that the charge staying because the first tech took a screw driver off his truck to tighten something on my garage door and that’s it. So I paid $100 for a tech to visit my house, screw something (me and my wallet in particular) and apply 10¢ in lube, and that’s it. I was then told it was a life lesson involving anyone that works in a trade.This place took advantage of me not knowing what I needed and rather than just educate me or suggest a service I may need, just took my money and left. I don’t recommend this company whatsoever.

D&D garage door technician Jeff was very professional. He came over and explained what the issue I having with my garage door and made his recommendation. He was straight forward with the costs and with the time it would take to make the repair. I even received a military discount. He was in and out in no time. He left no mess and took the old parts away with him. I highly recommend D&D garage door and I definitely would use them in the future if needed.

The operation bracket broke on our garage door. Our rental management company called D & D to repair it since they had originally installed it. They came right out as scheduled. The service guy, Keith Johnson, was very helpful. He not only installed a bracket much stronger than the original, he performed some maintenance on the springs, readjusted the door so it would close all the way to the bottom (we always had about an inch gap) and he took the time to explain how to open the door manually, showed me how to replace the batteries in the openers (which Ill admit, I couldnt figure out how to open) and he also showed me how to lock the garage door if we ever went on vacation. We are very appreciative. Thanks D & D!
The salesman was very helpful and pricing reasonable. The installers were polite, arrived on-time, worked hard and cleaned up well. The installation unfortunately had noticeably misaligned rails, improperly installed trim (missed all countersinks) and novice electrical splices. The top of the door hit the opener rail also. I do not like the four stickers D&D attached to my equipment. The window inserts were installed by the factory behind the glass and look odd. They are sending another senior technician to make corrections. Update: The door and rail alignment has been corrected, new trim provided, window inserts moved and stickers removed. I am happy with the outcome. I’ll purchase another door from D&D for my next home.

I purchased a new home with a garage door installed by D&D Garage Doors. The door broke after just a few uses. Contacted them to get on the schedule for a service call. I knew it was warranteed through my home builder and I would have to contact them to get the bill covered under warrantee but D&D wouldnt put me on the schedule and just said Id have to contact my home builder and go through them. You guys couldve put me on the schedule and we wouldve worked out the payment but you wouldnt even help me. I had a problem with the A/C and I called A/C Designs who installed that and they just came right out! D&D.....Terrible service after the sale!!!

Called this company, made appointment (3pm-5pm) and guess who didnt show up at the appointment time, D & D Garage! I called at 330pm, the lady said they are on the way, no THEY were not. I called back at 530pm and left a voicemail. A gentleman called back to asked if I still wanted him to service the garage door, NO. He also said he was on the other side of Macclenny, still NO. I informed him I will be calling another company. Your services are NO longer needed or wanted. I DO NOT and WILL NOT recommend this company.
I had an emergency need while my husband was in the hospital. I had no idea what to do when the opener sparked and started smoking. I unplugged it and then had no clue how to close it. (Yeah yeah...I understand now). The woman who answered my call (Kathy maybe?) was very understanding and helpful and made every effort to find a tech to get to me as soon as possible so I could get back to the hospital. They sent someone out within a couple hours just to make sure it was closed and I felt comfortable waiting for service. I think it was Tony who came. He had the part needed and made the repair right then, set up the code for the door, that had never been programmed, made some adjustments and hooked me up with a new remote opener. The pricing for an emergency call was remarkably reasonable in my opinion. The tech was very polite and explained and showed me everything he was doing. Extremely helpful. And I know a lot more now about garage door openers! I highly recommend D&D Garage Doors.

After 3 service calls for the same problem I was told the unit was fixed so I purchased a new remote, 31 days later we had to replace the whole unit with a different model rendering the new remote useless, but was never used an the paper work was still attached. Because it was 1 day past the 30 days they refused to credit us for the remote. You cant tell me they did not have the authority to do this out of a good faith effort for great customer service, we would have never purchased it if they had not told me it was fixed, actually told me 3 times it was fixed.

D & D Garage Doors replaced the drive belt assembly (2.25 yr old Genie 850) and properly aligned the tracks on my garage door. Premature belt failure due to improper alignment of the door tracks (by builder) causing additional drag on motor & belt drive. New house completed 2.25 yrs ago. Builder utilized Brand X (not D & D Garage Doors) as his valued garage door subcontractor.Thank you to Keith of D & DGarage Doors for correcting a sub-standard installation by the builder and replacing my drive belt assembly. Very professional service.
Appointment was supposed to on Tuesday 23 August 2016 between 3-5Issue-- broken springLocation-- Jacksonville FloridaAt 4:48 contacted company to see if they were still coming out to make the repair. The tech called and stated the he was running behind and would be there soon. After 7 pm the after hours number was called to check on the status.. they had the on call tech (who was in Sarasota Florida) phone us. We then called the original tech (number was on caller ID) and he said he got held up and would be there in 20 minutes he even said he would speed and make it in 15. At 9pm we called back and the tech said he was on our street-- since we can see who enters our street we knew this was a fabricated statement since no vehicles were on our street. We then advised the tech that there was no need to come out to the home that we could contact another company.I gave this company 1 star because it would not let me post this review without selecting something.. I by no means recommend this company to anyone. Poor customer service and poor communication. Every call had to be initiated by the client.Horrible service

Rescheduled on me twice because they kept forgetting it was a two person job. I can’t keep taking off work so you can get your stuff together. They’re a bunch of scrubs and very unprofessional.
You treated my mom awesome so this is not a bad review but a truthful how customer patience doesnt pay off and why you should understand why companies have no right to be upset over reviews that dont paint a perfect picture. DandD you had 4 chances, first call 2 weeks booked solid before I could get an appointment told either wait or call back new construction is our priority. Second chance made an appointment no call no show, 2nd time talked into rescheduling waited almost another week for the first appointment of the day. No show no call until I called them the tech called me at the end of the time window after being told to call me to tell me his truck broke down and it would be at least 30 minutes to an hour possibly more so I can cancel and he was happy because he was backed up not a bit concerned of my loss of time. I called the office they canceled my appointment then someone called me back and said he is only 10 minutes away so who do I believe??? I told the person on the phone no I need to get over my frustration. A week later I get a call asking me to reschedule so I made a mistake. I agreed to another appointment but I wanted a new tech. Guess what the same tech shows up right when his supposed to and tells me work has been very busy including new construction which is what they are concentrating on . We discuss my opener and he talks me into the one he installed in his house. I agree and I pay him a deposit then he says now for the bad news. I cant install today it will be Saturday after next it needs to be ordered. So yesterday I drive by the Jacksonville store they act like I am not being patient when I find out its going to be a few more weeks and that new construction has them busy to mentionwe ordered the part but it comes from Sarasota and there is only one in the warehouse and they will get it in the next truck. None of that made any sense because Amazon will sent it to me in 3 days and also shows me they are charging me a hefty installment but is dont give a damn about my time. I ask for a refund of my deposit 3 times as people try to tell me I need to install a lesser model. By this time who wants to DandD to do anything for me. In less than 24 hours I have a new Garage door opener the same model garage door opener. I am 20 year Real estate professional and have been in the construction trade for ever. New construction is not forever good customer service is. Like I said now a bad review but a truthful review .
Truly disappointed when the visit was postponed twice without previous notice and consideration for the time we spent waiting for their representative. The excuse was the person in charge of coming was still working in another job and another rep would come. Nobody showed up. We canceled the appointment. It was too late when someone called us to apologize. It tells you right there they are not serious. This was late last year.
I had D&D out to repair and check my garage door and they did a great job. From the phone call to check prices and availability for an appointment to the tech (Keith Johnson) that came out, everyone was great I would recommend D&D to anyone that is looking for a good garage door company for their needs.
We have a heavy duty garage door. The spring broke and the J-bar detached on Tuesday afternoon. Called D&D and they made us an appointment for the very next day (today) between noon and two. Their appointment person asked for a lot of pre-information, and when the repair guy got here at 11:45 (!) he had everything he needed, and fixed it right then. No waiting, no needing to order a part, and then entire cost was in line with the estimate. My car has been freed and I am very happy. Will recommend to friends&family and would use again. Truly disappointed when D&D told us that we needed to replace our front gate opener for $2300 when another gate company in town simply replaced a fuse and got the gate working again for a small service fee. Recommend getting a second opinion after evaluations by this company.
