It took me several weeks to get an appointment but I brought my gun to Superior for work on December 1, 2020. After not hearing from Superior with any updates for a period of time I called to check the status of the work. Communication wasnt very good-contact was always initiated by me. Finally on April 6, 2021 I picked up my gun, no work had been done after over 4 months and no explanation or apology was offered for the delay.
My experience with Wayne and his staff was top notch. I appreciate the honesty and thoroughness put in to the repair, once the cause of the malfunction was found. I would highly recommend them! Thank you!
This place is a little Gem!! I needed a trigger guard for a Marlin 60 that is 20 years old. I called ahead and they had the part waiting for me when I got there. Best of all, it was a great price!
I have had a number of firearms serviced and restored with the pros at Superior Gunsmithing. Everyone of them turned out better than I could have ever hoped for...
My Kimber Crimson was stolen almost 3 years ago. It was recovered and returned to me. To say that it was beaten up is kind. Superior refinished, and repaired to near perfect. I couldnt be more satisfied with the workmanship, I highly recommend them
Did a FANTASTIC job on the restoration of my Grandfathers old Remington Pump. Had both the metal and wood done and the gun came out absolutely beautiful.
Best thing I can say is extremely professional and knowledgable. We had an antique Winchester rifle which they appraised and directed us to a buyer. Very nice people and I enjoyed meeting them.
Wayne and Lisa have worked on several guns for me. Most recently they restored a Mossberg .22 rifle I first shot in 1964. It was rusted, scuffed and in so poor condition I couldnt make out what model it was. When I got it back it looked brand new. Wayne found parts I didnt know were missing. Great people and skilled craftsmen.
I’m a retired officer from JSO. In 2016 my police service weapon was stolen and I reported it as such. Early this yr it was recovered in a police raid in the Arlington area of Jacksonville during a drug raid and I was contacted by the police and told that they had it. They said they would return it as soon as the case had been cleared by the states attorneys office. In mid May of this year my gun was returned. I didn’t pay much attention to its condition until I was getting ready to qualify for my carry permit coming up this January 2020. I discovered it wouldn’t fire. So I went on line and found Superior Gunsmith. I took it to them for repair. Had I known that it was going to be stolen by a gun repair man to protect his business license rather than restore it to its original condition, I wouldn’t had left it there.....A word to those seeking help rather than theft, go some place else..!By the way JSO gave it back in the condition I took it to them in. All I needed was help in restoring it not to turn it into a machine gun......!
I’ve had several Winchester’s restored by them, and all were done excellent. I highly recommend them.
Brought in a rough looking pistol to have cerakoted. I picked it up today and what a difference. They also cleaned, polished, and tested the gun. I am impressed with the work that they did and the price I paid. I will be using them for all my gunsmiths modifications. Thank you guys!
I just recently purchased a 4 Kimber KHX pro 45 1911 and was cleaning my 1911. I was taking my pistol grips apart because I noticed that prior to me maintaining my 1911 that there was gun oil behind my pistol grips. As I was putting my pistol grips back together I noticed that one screw was hard to put back in. After a tiersome night, I was just frustrated by one of my screws being stuck. I woke up this afternoon and was browsing for a local gunsmith to help me with this issue, Ive heard about this company but never thought Id need assistance with my firearms until now. I arrived at this gunsmith and in a matter of 9 minutes tops the gunsmith was able to help me, Come to find out one of the screws that came with my firearm were stripped as well as the screw bushing thats inside of the pistol grips. I am very pleased with how the gunsmith and his wife Mrs. Lisa were able to assist me with this matter and I would encourage any Jacksonville resident or Floridian resident to check this ma and pop shop out. They will continue to receive my business should I ever have an issue with my firearms again. God bless Mrs. Lisa and her husband for helping out with this matter. Great customer service, great knowledge about gun restoration, and a fantastic couple to be around. Thanks for the help! Your loyal customer -Gabriel Medina
This shop does not enough great reviews! Honest work, great prices, couldnt have asked for a better experience. If I need gun work Ill be going here for sure!
Honestly this place did a dang good job, i was nervous going in as this was my first time getting any of my guns modified. But they did AMAZING. Really blew my mind on the quality. Had my gen 5 Glock 19 stimpled, undercut and had different sights put on. Definitely will be going back.
Good gunsmithing but very very slow. What would normally take less than a week will take several weeks before you see your gun again. I would recommend seeing someone else for your gun repair. My friend had the same experience.
WOW!!! My pistol fell out of my gym bag scuffing it and breaking the slide. After calling a few local gun stores they all recommended superior gunsmithing. Walking in thinking it would take weeks and a couple hundred dollars Mr. Green took the gun apart in seconds discovered the problem and fixed it in 5 minutes!!! When I thought he was done he wasn’t he fixed the scuff marks just because he takes pride in his work. I walked out spending only $10! Wish I knew about this place sooner!
Very professional and knowledgeable owner/operator. Good work and fair with his prices.
Abbaloutly the best & friendly as well.
Ive used Superior for several of my gunsmithing projects and have always had a stellar experience. You cant beat their expertise or quality.
Had my Win model 70 re-barreled and glass bedded. Cerakote was flawless, fit and finish was perfect. Shot sub MOA groups with all the factory ammo I put through it. I couldn’t be more pleased.Wayne and Lisa did an outstanding job in a very reasonable amount of time. Don’t believe the poor reviews about slow turn around times. Quality work doesn’t happen instantly folks. After seeing Wayne’s shop and the projects he’s working on I can honestly say there’s no better gunsmithing outfit in the Northeast FL area.
Really honest owners. Had my 1911 parkerizied by them and the gun looks brand new.
Wayne and Lisa do great work! Guns look great and the price was very good - I highly recommend them!
Wayne and his wife and crew do excellent work on all firearms
Good service, good speed. First time using them, will again.
Took my Grandsons new rifle in to have the barrel threaded for a compensator, Dropped of 6/25/18. He said it should take a week. After three weeks rifle was not touched, Picked up 7/16/18. Very poor service as far as I am concerned
Excellent
