Came in late afternoon when my hearing aid stopped working.. No waiting. Provider cleaned and checked hearing aid, and determined that it needed to be sent for repair. Patient service coordinator packed up the hearing aid and said she would personally drop it off at UPS first thing in the morning. Cant ask for anything more than that.
When my mom was in rehab they lost her hearing aids. Lori went above and beyond to help us get reimbursed so that she could get another pair of hearing aids. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful as well as professional in helping us through this ordeal.
I am not real pleased with it. It seems when my insurance allowance increases, their price of hearing aids increases. I would not recommend a large company to buy hearing aids. It seems their staff is always gone for training etc. I would recommend a small private firm. Someone you can get to know on a personal level.
I feel the public needs to know how this place operates when my dad needed hearing aids. First, I want to stress that the front office gal that is your first point of contact is awesome. She is extremely polite and helpful to customers. It’s the main “Hearing Specialist” Matthew Mesa that is giving this review a one star and really soured our experience here.I am active duty military and take care of my father who is severely disabled from a debilitating cancer surgery that caused him to lose 90% of his hearing. He’s pretty messed up from it and only receives social security benefits and Medicare insurance. Our Medicare provider (Allwell) set us up with an appt with this office. When we went Matt quickly informed us that my dad’s insurance wouldn’t cover more than one initial visit (which thankfully he told us he was waiving for us....). I was pretty surprised to hear this but given how poorly my dad was doing without his hearing I was willing to forget that and do what was required to get my dad hearing aids.Matt sold us on some very impressive but expensive hearing aids and we ended up financing around $4k to pay for them. Matt seemed pretty stoked that we went with this and we went about our day. The next day it didnt sit well with me that we had been referred to his office by my dads insurance only to find that they didn’t accept it... So I called Allwell and sure enough I found that they did indeed cover hearing aids and a substantial amount at that. I quickly called this location and made another appointment to get this sorted out. When we arrived I confronted Matt with the insurance information and that he told me they didn’t accept it. Come to find out Matt hadnt applied to receive the insurance as a hearing specialist but indeed his company did accept Medicare insurance.... Matt stressed that he gave us an ”amazing deal” and that there’s no way my dads insurance will pay towards the hearing aids we had just purchased. Despite this, we returned the original hearing aids and rescheduled to come back when Matt had gotten credentialed with Allwell.4 weeks later we came back and Matt’s entire demeanor haD changed. Allwell insurance covered $2,000 towards these hearing aids! Not only that, but they covered that towards the ones he originally sold us....So at the end of the day, despite how bad my dad looked and the fact that my dad only receives Social Security, despite the fact that I’m the sole provider for my dad, Matt still tried to get a considerable amount of money from us and couldn’t care less about our situation. Pretty disappointing. I thought I only had to deal with this in the car dealerships. Apparently you do here as well. Be careful.
Just bought my second pair of hearing aids. My new ones are re-chargable and I am so pleased with how are they working. They are expensive but worth every penny.
I was disappointed. I went in to get my 6 month check up and the doctor didnt even check my hearing or check my hearing aids. My prior dr always check the hearing aids, clean them change batteries and other things. All this new dr wanted to do is sell me more hearing aids.tell me my was outdated. I only had these hearings aids for two years that cost me 5,000 dollars. I am on social security and going in debt again is not an option.
I had a 1:30 pm appointment today, to see Jerry about the troubles I keep having with my $3000 hearing aids. Well when I arrived, there was a sign taped to the door that said,Gone to lunch, will be back at 1:30pm. Well being disabled, it was very difficult to stand for any length of time. But I stood outside their door, and no one showed up to open the office back up. I finally left, and left them a not so nice voicemail! I am very disappointed in this office! Will never recommend them to anyone!
I have come here many times with my friend who is blind as well as severely hearing- impaired. The staff is very welcoming, attentive and thorough in meeting her needs.
