Was very pleased with my experience at River City Lighting. We had just arrived from a nearby showroom which I have no complaints about, but was extremely pleased with the service at River City Lighting. The salesman was very upfront about costs and felt no offense if I wanted to compare prices with online pricing. There was no hard sale or pressure to buy, but in the end we did. They were even nice enough to throw in a small dinosaur desk lamp that my 2 year old son was loving to look at. So overall, friendly and helpful service and would go back again.Edit: Would also like to add that at first glance their selection may seem a bit overwhelming, its actually quite nice and many modern pieces. Also, one of the pieces we got was not in stock and their turnaround time was much faster compared to the fans I was considering at another place.
Oct. 2021 - Adding to my previous review. This is our third purchase and again 100% satisfied. Love our new foyer fixture, lanai fan, and flush mount LED ceiling spot lights. Tracy and the team at River City Lighting have a great selection - much better than the big box stores. And, better prices than buying online. I purchased all the lights in my home from River City and recommend them to all clients who are looking to update their light fixtures.
Original review (update below):Ordered a $500 patio fan on October 17th and was quoted a week or so for delivery. After a week, it was a couple more days, after two weeks it was on the next shipment but was delayed by storms, after three weeks it is now backordered and they have no clue when or if it is being shipped.Whats worse, I had an electrician doing some other work for me last week and was willing to install the fan for free. Now I need to pay for another trip since the fan never came in.Update 1/4/21: After my review Tracy reached out to me. He offered to install the fan when it arrived at no charge, but added they had no idea when it would come in. It is now January 4th, nearly 3 months later, and the latest update is now February 5th (but again no promises). Ive asked if there were any other options and Tracy indicated there wasnt. In the hopes of having a fan by spring, I requested he cancel the order and refund my card.Update 1/5: Tracy reached back out because my fan randomly arrived at the store. I did want the fan so we arranged him to come by and install it. Ive updated my review to what I believe a fair score is. I think that Tracy cares about what he does, and I believe he did his best to get my fan. I docked one star for the initial claims it was on its way back in October and another for how long the $500 sat on my credit card with no product. After all is said and done, I would go back to buy from here again, but I would keep a close eye on how long things are taking.
Tracy is great to work with! Hes helped me select fans, bath lights, dining and hall fixtures. Very fairly priced and he even installs! I have used them several times over the years and wouldnt go anywhere else. Highly recommend.
Our fans and dining room light was ordered and installed in a timely manner. Since our installation we have been unable to get any follow up warranty service or the courtesy of a return call- very unprofessional
