Our experience with Marling and our entire kitchen redo was a wonderful experience!! Without Kellys help, I would not have been able to put together my beautiful kitchen. Her expertise and good eye for putting together color, and design became a dream kitchen!
Went in to discuss building a deck. The man at the desk was very rude after asking him a few questions stated when you know what you want, come back This is my busy time of the year. We left immediately due to the fact this is very poor customer service. Never go there again!
Nice folks but way to slow been here over an hour still havnt loaded the first piece of lumber burning my clock down
Couldnt ask for better service thank you.
Good Lumberyard.Better service than the box stores.
Horrible nightmare working with Marling. One of the most incompetent businesses Ive ever seen. Asked for a complete and comprehensive bid for a deck. He said he would have it to me in a week. Weeks later, and multiple calls, still no bid. Everyone seemed confused and surprised that this was not acceptable practice. We ultimately had to go with them, despite my better judgement because they work with the builder. They failed to put in the order, so delayed. Then they ordered multiple ( I mean MULTIPLE) items incorrectly. More delays. They failed repeatedly to do their job or follow up on orders. I had to call them on a regular basis to remind them to follow through on their job. During the process, I was told that despite the detailed parts list, project pictures of the deck/steps, and written price for the project, that included the price of the stairs (stringers, boards etc), that the price was inaccurate and wanted to change more! Now, more than a year later, they are STILL ordering (mis-ordering) parts. They send wrong parts, have to send back and order again....oops. Forgot to order, then order, oops, some things still wrong.....try again. Im deeply sorry I ever gave them any business. I would also recommend reading their Yelp reviews, to get a clear picture of how bad things are.
Contacted Marling to do a partial remodel of two bathrooms in my home - replacement of linoleum with tile, new baseboards, new framed mirror, new registers. Everything about the job - from the salesperson to the subcontractors were top notch! Prompt, courteous, trustworthy and excellent workmanship! I love my new bathrooms. Special thanks to Terry H. for his follow-up and organization. I highly recommend!
If you nref cabinets or countertops l, they have a large selection to pick from.
Although we are pleased with the products that we ordered, the planning process was extremely drawn out due to poor communication of the salesperson. And it took over a month to get a labor estimate. I would go elsewhere if I had another project.
Too much too type.. not recommended
For a family owned company you would think that their customer service would be great. Let me tell you, its nothing but horrible. Their sales staff is great and will give you lots of choices and ideas, but once youve made the purchase they wash there hands of almost anything. Ive had better customer service at big box stores, which is saying a lot.
We chose HomeWorks for an extensive remodeling project based on their reviews and the fact that Marling has been around forever. We spent two months in the planning stages, everyone was thorough and professional. We couldnt wait to get started. Then came time for the first deposit. They tell us they require (this isnt a typo) 90 PERCENT DOWN of labor and 90 PERCENT of materials. You read that right. Basically all of the money up front before they will even start. I was in utter disbelief. I asked our rep How on earth would anyone agree to those terms? She tells me Hmm.. well, youre the FIRST person to ever mention that they were uncomfortable with those terms! Really? So bizarre terms that are unheard of anywhere, and then youre going to lie to me and tell me Im the first person, in the 100 year history of the company, to balk at paying the entire bill up front on a remodel job? I passed on the job and got a quick email back say Ok sorry, best of luck. On a $120k job!! What the heck is going on at HomeWorks? The only thing I can think of is they are overbooked, bad credit with subs, or didnt want to take on our job, so they keep a separate set of terms for customers that they just want to go away. I cannot think of any other reasons. Its so strange to me, and we are bummed because now this sets us back months while we find another contractor. Thanks for wasting our time. HomeWorks, if this wasnt just some thing you did to run us off, but you genuinely charge 90% up front on every job, maybe tell the customer the MOMENT they walk in the door. No sane person would go along with that. Ugh.
I recently moved to a new house and we wanted to add a matching island in the kitchen. The designers at Marling where knowledgable and helpful at helping me match up the finishes and cabinet styles as well as configure the island to be functional and fit the kitchen. They even volunteered to come out to the house. I would highly recommend the team at Marling for all your cabinet design needs. My cabinets arrived in a timely manner and look great. Thanks Marling team.
Great people fast unloading
Great products. Very knowledgeable, helpful staff.
Havent been there in several years, but they were very helpful in helping me with what I needed.
Marlings employees were very good to my wife and I. We have been shopping there for years and I always get the service I need, unlike those (not to be named) big box stores. I would highly recommend Marling!
We had a complete loss house fire in February of 2016. Our general contractor contracted with Marling to design our new kitchen. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Marling contracted with a local merchant to purchase and install our countertops. Our home was completed and we moved back into our home on December 24th, 2016. In March of 2017, less than 3 months later, our countertops started coming apart at the seam in front of the sink and by the wall. I called our general contractor who set up a meeting with Marling and the local merchant that installed our countertops. At the meeting, the local merchant, that clearly did not seal the seems correctly, refused to stand behind the warranty and replace our countertops. Marling tried to encourage this vendor to do the right thing to no avail. So Marling stepped up to the plate and replaced all of my countertops free of charge. I can not recommend highly enough this company. Marling is a stand up, ethical business. Give them a call if you want a quality job done by reputable people. Thank you Marling for all you did for us.
