My first experience (August-September 2020) was absolutely awful. It took 2 1/2 weeks to resize my engagement ring and wedding band when they told me it would only take 10 days. The day before I was supposed to pick it up, I called to get an update and they said they haven’t even started on it yet. I won’t elaborate too much more, but I was livid. I swore I would never go back. The saddening part was that my grandmother (who had passed just 10 days prior to this) absolutely LOVED this store and always came here. And since I have her wedding set, I thought it was only appropriate that I brought it here.Almost a year later, my wedding is August 21, 2021 and I need to get my two rings soldered together and resized again (because soldering would cause them to be tighter). I called around a few places and most of them were either completely booked or way too expensive so I thought I’d give Kay’s a call and see what they can do. Stacey (who had helped me both times) said that normally this would take 3 weeks to do (at this time my wedding is less than 3 weeks away) but because she wanted to make up for my last experience she said she would put it at the front of the line and make sure the jewelers know its a “special order” and that my earliest pickup date would be 8/13. Well when I got off work today 8/9 I had a voicemail saying it’s ready for pickup. It could just be me, but it appeared to be even shinier than the first time. I am beyond happy and impressed with this turnaround!! Stacey was absolutely phenomenal BOTH times. I know my grandmother would be even happier than I am🤣 1000/10!!!!!

They are nice when your BUYING something from them. But watch out if u need any help or ur not there to buy anything they most likely will be rude. Even the devil is nice when ur doing something for him ... so praising these people when ur there to buy something like all these reviews is obsolete

I recently had a custom wedding band created here and it was the BEST experience ever!! Margo drew up a design of what I wanted since I had such specific details and the finished product is perfect! She kept me up to date along the whole process as well. I would highly recommend them for any of your jewelry needs! Thank you so much!

Very nice place, nice people and I would recommend them. I have been using them since JB Robinson in Janesville Mall about 15 years or so.

I have made several attempts to reach them by telephone to see if my Jewelry is ready for pick up since I dont live in Janesville and dont want to travel if not needed since I have cancer. 4 calls made to absolutely no one answering telephone and then hung up on. Not happy with their Customer service

Bought a ring using 2 other rings I had purchased within the last month from Kays as an exchange and paid balance on my credit card for the remaining 508. Returned ring and was given 508 back to my charge card but neither of my other 2 rings I had exchanged or the money and trade I had paid when I bought them just thos past month.Been fighting for over 2 weeks and out over 900 plus the trades for those 2 rings.Now they want to give me back my original trades but not the money I paid in addition to the trades I used when I bought those 1st two rings this past month.I will update this when I know how they are going to resolve the issue!

Im not the sort to go around leaving bad reviews - I tend to give the benefit of the doubt and just say that the person I dealt with was having a bad day. But three times in a row.... that definitely reflects on the business. The first time, I was in the store waiting by the register for almost 15 minutes and no one even acknowledged my presence. There were two sales people busy with other customers and there was a young woman seated at a desk behind the register, doing nothing at all. She would not make eye contact. I tried again another day and was told it would cost $25 to change the battery on the watch I had purchased there a number of years ago. I went to another local store near Menards and they changed it at no cost. I know which store I will go to when I next need some fine jewelry. It will NOT be Kay Jewelers.

We purchased our wedding rings from Kays in Janesville - and my engagement ring from a sister store... I have always had the best luck with this Kays- always great service! I was in last night as I realized I missed an inspection - I was reassured there would be no issues and (with some anxiety) discussed resizing my rings. They put my mind at ease and I came back tonight to send them in- again, I was a little anxious, however, the gentleman that helped me talked me through everything and took the time to make the process easy to understand and reassured me that my ring was going to be well taken care of. I must also say this Kays always cleans my rings the best too! Hoping the couple that arrived as I was finishing up also purchased their wedding set from there- they would be making a good choice!

Always good service and never fails 😊😊😊 highly recomended.
