Bo Heavin was wonderful to work with. He listened to what we had to say-the price I could pay, the features Id like, and the timetable I was on. He explained the cars features very thoroughly and didnt try to sell me something I didnt need or couldnt afford. Bo went with us on a test drive and explained more of the cars features. The two finance associates were very helpful and explained all the forms. After I drove the car home, we realized one of the headlights was not working. I called Bo the next day and he asked me to bring in the car and the headlight would be fixed. On the way to the dealership another minor problem was noticed . Both problems were corrected and Bo filled up the gas tank for letting him correct the problems. Bo has kept in contact with me through calls and texts to make sure I am happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend Bo and the dealership to future buyers.

I bought my car from them 4 months ago. Sales side is great. But service side, a whole joke. It broke down a week ago, just stopped accelerating. Mind you I just had it checked out by them 2 weeks prior. They didnt find anything. Im questioning if they even looked or just took my money. I had it towed and confirmed arrival, 7 days ago. As of today my car STILL hasnt even been looked at by the service department. All Im getting is the run around by upper management. Service department just transfers me to them. They provide rentals but I guess thats just to appease the people who have just bought. Because now theres just magically no rentals, no service man that knows anything about my car, one manager suggested I just come pick it up. IT DOESNT RUN OR IT WOULDNT HAVE BEEN TOWED THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE . A joke! My family relies on this car as a daily.Update: After finally finding a service advisor who knew something, he gave me more info than anyone else had. He told me my car was under another service advisor, who of course wasnt there, again. (Please fire that man. He makes you look awful.) Im bad with names but obviously yall have my records. I asked if it was possible to switch service advisors and the gentleman on the phone gave me a full update and offered to take on my car and be my service advisor and now progress begins! Finally 🥲 -Mrs. GrayThis man deserves 5 stars for his service. So overall Ill raise my rating a star.
We had bought 5 new vehicles from Machens in the past. We recently tried to purchase a 2021 Bronco. They insulted us by only offering $14,000 for our trade and wanted $3000 over sticker . They would not work with us. We then tried a Ford dealer out of town, who was more than willing to work with us. The dealer offered us $20,000 for our trade along with a rebate. They made unlike Machens buy a vehicle a pleasurable experience. They put the needs of the customer first,great customer service. We will never buy from Machens.
I have tried to contact the service person through phone and emails. I was confused on the billing, no return. Plus it took two weeks longer then my appointment. I used to love and trust this dealership. I will do everything in my power to not patronize them. I will probably even change from buying a Ford just bc of this dealership and few others I have come across in my travels. Chevy better pick up their game and they will have a new costumer. On top of that it really seems like they are lying to you. Not the feeling I want.

The service department is going downhill. Dropped my car off two days before a week long vacation. Come back to be told the car hasn’t been looked at and didn’t know where it was. Once they found it, it took about 3 days for them to diagnose and then order a part. That took another week. Now I am a month out and still waiting on them to reimburse my towing bill since it was under warranty. The sales team however is great to work with.

After getting My car back from the Ford Service Dept along with a list stating My 99 Point Inspection had been done and everything was Good I checked...My Power Steering Fluid was very low and there was hardly any My Break Fluid in My car. So if They cant be Honest about something as simple as Fluids, how am I to Trust any of Their work??? I DONT NOW!! I used to be a Loyal Ford Customer...That is USED TO BE!

Chris was my salesman and Derek did my finance. They were both great and very easy to deal with. The dealership had a small town feel while being located in a bigger city. We did everything over the phone and was very easy and very little to no hassle. No complaints on the dealership at all. Only complaint I have is the vehicle itself, the 2021 bronco sport. Im a tall man at 6ft6 and even with sest all the way down and the rear view mirror tilted as far up as it goes, Im not able to see the whole rear window and can only see the bottom half. This is something Ford will need to address due to safety concerns and fitting everyone that wants one. Thank God this was for my wife, but I do drive it on our trips l, which may create an issue. I rate the dealership top notch and the vehicle about 3 to 4 stars due to rear view mirror issue.

I came to look at the Ford Flexes I had seen online. They had two of the three on the lot. We met with Jordan, looked at both, test drove one of them, and decided to buy. The loan officer stayed late to complete our paperwork. He found us a more competitive interest rate to match what the manager at the used car office had told us.While my husband and I were completing paperwork. Jordan set with my teenagers and showed them how to use the electronic features in the car.Once we got our car home, we notice two chips in the window and Jordan got them repaired.I really like my new car.

I bought a truck 3 months ago, at the time I bought it the door ajar light would not go off. They told me that it was a sensor and that it would be fixed. Three months later it is back on and I took the panel off and all they had done was splice wires and put electrical tape on the harness rather than putting a new harness in. Hope this is not how they do all their work by cutting corners. Be careful with the repair shop, make sure to check their work.
Dealer consistently charges over MSRP. Do not shop here, there are plenty of dealerships that’s will take your money and not steal a little extra off the top because the “the market dictates it.” Every time you buy a car from a dealer that does this you’re incentivizing the practice. Dealer has been reported to Ford for price gouging.
Five star rating for Roberto and Ben on our used car purchase. They took care of some minor issues after the sale without any hesitations. Loose one star for having to go through the required Business Manager visit at the end of the sale. I know Josh was just doing his job but be sure to read the fine print at the end of sale. Nothing bad against Josh he was just doing his job. Overall everything went well.

Our sales rep Sam Hayden was fantastic to work with. He was not pressuring or overbearing. He only showed us vehicles we were interested in and was very patient. I cant say enough good things about him.Matt in finance was great as well. He made sure that our warranty and payment plan included everything we wanted. He was very thorough in explaining the information and how we go about utilizing our warranties should we need to in the future.
The sales side was great but the service side this time was not the best. The Service side was in need of all lot of help and my experience was very disappointing the last two times I visited. Go to this for this and go to this line for that not cool. So the service side is appointment only no problem but for me this was a problem. I called made an appointment got a confirmation then I got a phone call cant do it today no problem. Got a phone call So I dropped my vehicle off at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night in the drop box like I was asked. Did not get a phone call all day then when I call around 1:00 p.m. I got the run around Ill call you back with the car details no problem. No call back so I called back around 4:00 p.m. finally got a supervisor sorry were busy and basically your car has not been touched but it will be first thing Thursday morn no problem 3 days without a car. No phone call all day until I called again after 1:00 p.m. were just about to pull it in 3 days without a vehicle. I finally get the call more bad news we can fix your issue but its gonna cost a significant amount. Now keep in mind that I have not had this vehicle over 5 months and the warranty does not cover it. And also for the bad communication and the dealership keeping my vehicle 3 days I received a bunch of sorrys and a $10.00 car wash. Just disappointing.

Great Experience! My vehicle was totaled after being hit so I was suddenly out a vehicle. The website is very detailed and helpful so I had a good idea what I wanted. I made a quick call to set up a test drive and Sam was ready to help. I was taken care of promptly and professionally. This is the 4th car I have purchased and this experience was very stress free! I bought my used vehicle there and have been very pleased with it. I am trying to have all of my service completed in their service department but have a couple of issues. The employees are friendly pleasant folks but just cant seem to get the timing down on simple maintenance tasks. The first time I took it in for an oil change, etc., I was told I didnt need to make an appointment - just bring it in and leave it and they would call me when it was done. Told them that since I lived 30 miles away that just wouldnt work and that I would wait for it. Took about two hours but finally got it done. This last time (today), I had actually made an appointment. I was given two times to choose from - I picked the 11:00 am. Got there 15 minutes early but they immediately took my car to the shop. I was asked if I was waiting or leaving. I indicated I would be leaving so was then asked what would be the latest time I would accept. I replied that I guess 2:00 would be the absolute latest (trying to be considerate of possible problems that might arise for them). I told them I would be back long before that though. I arrived back at approximately 12:30 with no signs of my car service being completed. At 1:30 I finally asked at the service window about it. She said she would go back and check. I saw her leave and come back but she offered no further comment. Finally at 2:15 they had the car ready for me. My whole point to this long drawn-out narrative is - why do they make appointments when it appears they have no intention to adhere to the scheduled time????? I admit that their waiting room is not a terrible place but to sit for any undue amount of time is certainly not pleasant. What should have taken no more than an hour took them over three hours! If I lived or worked in Jefferson City, all of this runaround would probably not be an issue BUT that is not the case. They either need to forego making appointments or honor the times that are scheduled.

Last year I tried getting my suv fixed. Sakelaris in Camdenton wasnt much help. Dead end after dead end, I didnt feel taken care of and they didnt have very good customer service!!! We had talked to Columbia Ford at Joe Machens and everyone was really rude. I emailed back and forth with a very nice sales rep at Capital City Ford named Christian and it definitely paved the way to our purchase. He was extremely helpful without being super pushy. He pulled up the cars we wanted a head of time making our visit there much shorter. I was very impressed with the service. My last purchase was at Columbia Honda and I was so upset with how I was treated there at my last visit that I wasnt sure I wanted to go to another dealership, but Im glad I gave them a chance. Sold us a vehicle that had a broken headrest then wouldnt do anything about it. Also tried to give a 17% interest on a $6000 loan when it was actually 28% according to the creditor and our bank we double checked with. Eventually went with our bank at 5.75% which is what we shouldve been given to start with based on credit and down payment. We personally will be not going back to them for that reason alone of trying to screw us on the loan. Otherwise the vehicle we purchased was fairly. Priced and in really good condition.

My husband and I were very saddened and disappointed with our experience. It started out great, we bought a brand new 2020 Explorer. The moment we got it home we realized there were some paint issues that needed fixed. We called the dealership & we drove it back to Jeff City so they could send it to the body shop to have it fixed. They initially told us it would take a couple of days and almost 3 weeks later we got our vehicle back. They did give us a loaner which was very appreciated. We drive back to Jeff City to pick our Explorer up & immediately we notice a piece of the seal to the sunroof had pulled off, the seal on the back driver door was not installed correctly & there was white paint in several places it shouldn’t have been. There was white paint marks on the black plastic piece that separates the 2 sunroofs, there was white paint on our floor mats, there was white paint on the inside of one of the back doors on the black interior. It appeared that whoever had redone the paint was sloppy & did not take pride in their work as they did not clean up after themselves very well. Also, when we are driving the vehicle we can hear and feel fluid sloshing underneath the vehicle (we assume it is fuel) which should not be happening. When we informed the dealership of the issues, they told us to take it back to the body shop in Columbia to have the repairs done. It is just VERY frustrating that we have been without our vehicle for 3 weeks already to have repairs done and we got it back today and are already having to turn around and get more repairs done and will be without our vehicle again. Not to mention my husband and I are both having to take additional time out of our work week to try and get these issues resolved. Unfortunately it does not make me want to do business with Joe Machens again.

Bought a new 2015 f150 pickup, paint is starting to bubble and pop off on my truck in two different places, went in to talk to them about the problem, they acknowledge that this was a problem on some of the trucks, took down my information finally informed me that they were not going to do anything about it because my truck was out of warranty, this is a factory failure and should be fixed by ford! Very disappointed! Buyers beware!

They always take care of any question or issues that arise during my vehicle ownership and service is very good. The only exception was when covid 19 impacted everything but they did a great Job with limited staff.I purchased a new expedition in March. The purchase was nice and because Machens staff brought the vehicles to my home for viewing and test drives. The sale was finalized on my back deck.Deal was completed at my residence including paper work.

Cody helped me make my otherwise very complicated idea work. Being in Jefferson City, they are 1,333 miles from my house in Miami. They had a one of a kind car that I really wanted to get. I contacted the dealer through their website, they shortly after contacted me, we discussed it all over text messages and emails and in a couple of days we got the deal done, including financing (thanks to Jacob Thomas for making that work with overnighted documents). Since I was buying the car without seeing it in person, Cody provided me detailed pictures and addressed my potential concerns about the car. Havent had this vehicle for a month. First week screen not functioning correctly, door will not unlock/lock without using the key fob, next week transmission shifting hard, and now the roof rails are coming loose. Then the sales person not understanding, why Im not happy with this purchase. SmhNow, I have use my time to take the vehicle in to get the part replaced, and have the transmission checked. 172 point inspection, I dont think so.

We love the car hated the service. Could not get a straight answer about the interest rate we were going to be charged. We were just told we had great credit to not worry about it. We do have great credit they were right on that but were offered a 5.75%. For two people with both over a 800 credit score that is crazy. When I argued it they magically could bring it down to 2.75%. With just two key strokes. Funny how that happened.
Had to bring in my 2008 F-450 for service. Awesome service staff. They were able to get us on the road again in record time!

I have NEVER been to a more efficient service provider in my life!! We pulled in on limp mode due to a break in our serpentine belt, had no idea what was wrong when coming in. We were on our way an hour an half I to to our vacation trip and this happened! We pulled in at 12:40 and was out the door by 2pm. Belt changed, new battery and oil change (at my request) and all under 400.00! That is unheard of! I HIGHLY recommend these guys! Plus the customer service was awesome kept me informed and they have a great lounge to wait in! Please go there for anything you may need.

We originally purchased a used Ford Edge from Joe Machens Capital City Ford back in Late December. We were so pleased with it that when we lost A different vehicle. Brad Bartlett was our salesman both times and he goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your purchase and if there is something you need to figure out he helps out and is always there for questions. They really make you happy to own one of their cars. We ended up with a 2012 Ford Edge that we love.Edit: The 2012 Ford Edge we purchased had a problem with the rear view camera and Joe Machens gave me the run around on the repairs which ended up costing over 3 thousand to my warranty for a 700 dollar repair because one of their service writers kept barking up the charges and telling the service tech incorrect information so I have changed the review accordingly. I am very unhappy with their service department and will never buy from Joe Machens again...Maybe not even go back to Ford if their dealers dont even know how to repair the vehicles they sell.
