I drive from Grove OK to have my 2019 Ridgeline serviced here.My father in law purchased the truck here (and has since passed) but the folks here are just great. Recently I needed an oil change quickly as I needed the truck to make a long distance trip to NY for a family emergency. George (the younger write up tech) got me in quickly without an appointment as I explained my situation. He was courteous and a true customer service professional. I can see this young man being a manager. Thank you George. You are appreciated!

Michael is a true professional, but we had a terrible experience at this shop. We live 70 miles away and have been bringing our Element here for routine services and repairs as needed. The last time here, the technician who rotated the tires didn’t tighten the lug nuts beyond finger tight. I drove the vehicle home, noting that the vibration seemed pretty bad. It felt as if the tires had not been balanced, so I decided not to complain, and to simply have the tires balanced locally. My wife and children got in the element to go shopping the following day, and she called me and told me the element was making a terrible grinding sound. I called Roper and attempted to get in touch with Kyle, who didn’t return the messages I left, or the emails the wife and I sent. I finally got Michael, who was his usual helpful and professional self. He said to bring the vehicle back, and they’d see what the issue was. As I left to bring the vehicle back, it made the terrible grinding sound the wife had told me about. I pulled over and realized the sound was the wheel riding loosely and banging against the lug nuts. Two of the lug nuts were completely gone, and the rest were very loose. I tightened them up and borrowed a couple of lug nuts from my father in laws tractor, and drove the vehicle to Joplin. I dealt with Michael, who apologized on behalf of the tech who had been careless. They replaced the two lug nuts that had fallen off, and I went on my way. Accidents happen, and people make mistakes, and, though frustrated at all of the time and fuel spent going back and forth, I was over it. Until a couple of weeks ago, when the front wheel on the drivers side (the passenger side was the issue the first time) began to make grinding sounds. The lug nuts on the drivers side had also worked their way loose. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the wheel had never been properly seated after rotation, and though those lug nuts had been tightened properly, they had either been tightened while the vehicle was on the ground, or had been quickly tightened without ensuring that the wheel was properly seated and centered. Either way, the improper mounting of the wheel had allowed the lug nuts to eventually work their way loose. It was not a difficult fix, and did not require a 140 mile round trip to a Honda mechanic to diagnose. It was pretty clear that we had simply had the bad fortune of paying for careless, hasty work. I’m thankful we were able to figure the problem out ourselves and fix it before one of the wheels came completely off with my family in the car. Though it is a further drive for us, Honda of Bartlesville will be getting our business from now on. While the service manager, Michael, is excellent with people and has a talent for “making it right” should things go wrong, I would advise against trusting the techs at Roper if one of the simplest (and most dangerous) aspects of vehicle maintenance is overlooked—not once, but twice.

Clifton and Danny were amazing!!! They were very polite and honest about the cars and the warranty. I informed them exactly what I wanted (with great detail). My husband and I are over the moon thrilled with our new vehicle! We started in Webb City and finished everything in Joplin. I couldnt recommend them enough. Their customer service was amazing and with their sportsmanship along with the other employees we met at the Joplin location. Most vehicle sales associate are aggressive trying to get you in the door (like Roper Kia) and battle against each other. Roper Honda-both locations- everyone was so friendly and congratulated everyone on their sales and purchases! We have already decided we will only buy from Roper Honda from here on out!! Thank you all so much for helping us get the car we always wanted!

I NEVER leave reviews, but I loved the staff at this dealership! The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. I didn’t feel pressured to buy and was given all the information on each car that I needed. Danny Davis went above and beyond when helping me and I am so happy I was able to work with him. I love my car and highly recommend this dealership to anyone! Hope I can make it back in the future when I need a new car!

Reviews are a waste of my time, and to be quiet honest they’re extremely petty when wrote in a negative way. But my sole purpose behind this review is to warn those who are thinking about making a decently long trip to go check out a vehicle for sale at Roper Honda, in Joplin Mo. I drove a long way with every intention of buying a vehicle. I even went so far as getting dropped off at the dealership, because I believed with a few thousand dollars in cash in my pockets, I wasn’t going to leave without a vehicle. Which now, I only have myself to blame for that bizarre choice of planning. After test driving said vehicle, it was time to gather numbers and see what we could work out. Roper Honda had the vehicle listed nearly 3 thousand more than the “Fair Market Range” on KBB.com. After witnessing the numbers from a highly trusted website, I asked to bring the price down to their bottom dollar (knowing they had plenty of room to spare). Manager guy there, wouldn’t take a single dollar off of the asking price. This was also after waiting around for 20 minutes on the sales lady, Julie Hines, to make it there so we could start the paper work.. which brings me to my second concern. I had to wait for her to come in, just so she could get her manager to take care of the business portion while she stood there with a look of annoyance because I was trying to get the best possible deal. Once it was time to send documentations to the lenders, the Manager, who’s name I can’t remember, stands up and says “who knows you may not be able to afford payments, we’ll just have to see”. Keep in mind, I walked into that dealership with a little over $3k in cash. If I didn’t think I could afford it, I wouldn’t have wasted our time in the first place. To sum this review up, I left without a car and had to find a way back home. Just because they wouldn’t help a reliable customer.P.S. - I work in the management department at Walmart, not a drug dealer lol. I just figured with cash in hand it would make the process a little smoother. Great looking cars, clueless, inconsiderate employees. 👍🏼Update days later - Owner feels for my misfortune, and proceeds to tell me a sales representative has reached out, and are waiting for my response. I’ve been waiting with my phone, and not one phone call was received on my end. For those who have had great experiences with them, awesome I’m happy for you, I truly am. For those who haven’t yet experienced it, why even test it? ESPECIALLY the lot in Joplin. I never knew you could be qualified selling motorized transportation with such a low level of intelligence/manners. The TEENAGERS I hire come with more parts upstairs than the crew there.- I wasn’t planning on adding to this, but I was lied to once again by them.

If you need a good salesperson for Roper, ask for David Humphrey Jr. and tell him I recommended him (itll get me a gift card if you eventually purchase something from him, so I can get my cargo tray I would like for my car)!! He called/emailed 1-3 times a week to check in and advise me on the status of my car. He is friendly and professional and honest! For example, when the manager guy was saying something not quite true, you could tell from Davids expression that he was NOT comfortable with the white lie. Also, once he realized I was the one getting the car and making most decisions about it, he looked to me first if my dad or husband were with me and wouldnt look to them for a response until I did. Finally, he has been super considerate of my cold sensitivity from the chemotherapy. Hed bring me room temperature bottles of water and a cup of warmed water as well to help me stay hydrated when things were taking a while. Hed warm the car up if he knew I was coming to test drive. Hed always encourage me to either go back inside it get in a car I was looking at to answer questions to stay out of the cold wind and temps. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I would also like to add that David is a shining example of what every salesperson SHOULD be at your dealership. I have went to several dealerships while narrowing down choices of cars and feel extremely fortunate to have gotten David as my salesperson!

I have many underlying medical problems, but extra precautions were taken to ensure my safety. This is the 4th New Honda I have purchased in the last 7 years. Dont plan on buying another one at my age, (69), but if I do, it will be from Roper.

So helpful!!! I had gone to 3 different gas stations to get air in two of my tires & at every station it was letting air out of my tires somehow! I called Roper Honda in a panic & they told me to just come by. They fixed me up in 20 mins & checked for leaks & didn’t even charge me! I am so thankful to them for helping!

Extremely pleased with my experience! I had called to get a quote on a 2021 CR-V which was provided to me. Later that day, my husband and I visited the dealership for a test drive. Turns out they had accidentally quoted me on the 2020 CR-V. Like most people, I was comparing prices to other dealerships so I was sure that the visit was going to go south. Upon returning from the test drive, I asked about the 2021 pricing again since I knew they had accidentally quoted me wrong. They owned the mistake and stated they would honor the initial quote provided to me. I think that speaks volumes on the company! I essentially got the price of a 2021 model for the same as a 2020. If a company is willing to be that honest and owns when they make an error, that’s the kind of company I want to do business with. Taddeo was not the one who initially helped me over the phone, but he was my sales rep when I arrived! He was great! Very friendly and helpful. He explained the warranty forever thoroughly so I had a clear understanding of how it worked. I live out of state so he was clear on the instructions of making sure I call a number before completing any maintenance service so the forever warranty stays valid. If you live local though, they will take care of it for you if you just go to them for your service/maintenance. I did not feel pressured to make a decision. They allowed me to really make sure that I felt comfortable and happy with my decision. So if you’re looking for a new car, I would definitely recommend this dealership! Every employee we encountered was very friendly. Happy with my new CR-V!! Will be our family vehicle for a while!

I was ready to buy a specific pre-owned car listed on their site as available. I have an email that states the car was available. When I called later, the salesman said it was still available, and began answering questions about the financing and car.Then the salesman said he needed a few minutes to check my credit and would call me back. I knew I had good credit, so I was happily cleaning out my car to trade it in. Then the salesperson called me back and said that JUST as he was bringing in the paperwork to the office, another salesman had sold the car, as we were working on our deal. What a coincidence! Then he tried to up-sell me on several other new cars, which I did not want.I was very disappointed, but I believed that I had bad luck/timing and the car had actually been on the lot and sold. Later, my father said a common tactic for dealerships is the bait and switch, by posting a desirable car that they never intend to sell, in order to get the lead for a sale on their other cars.I dont live in Joplin, so I cant verify if they did this. But ten hours later, the site still advertises this specific car as still available. So please be aware that unless you actually see the car on the lot, do not make a deal over the phone.

My sales person!! Michael Blair, was so kind and knowledge gifted. He explained all the new electronic advances and how it works. He did this in such a laymen term I was able to go home and tell my Husband what the car had and the new technology it had to offer. He visited; making me comfortable. I brought my daughters and husband to see the SUV. He always took the time to greet me by name and offer to take us for test drive. It took me two months to make a final decision, because, of time available and shopping for the right SUV for me. I love my Honda Passport and all the technology I was taught to use. I went to Roper to purchase my third CR-V, after it was totaled in an accident with a semi. I met TJ and since I knew what I wanted it was easy to choose. I had to wait for the insurance company to issue the check, but when I went in to purchase I was shocked. TJ was out sick, so Donnie was helping him the entire sale was still credited to TJ and Donnie did all the paperwork. Now that is teamwork you do not usually see at a dealership, it is usually a dog eat dog world. I have really liked Roper Honda since we bought our first CR-V in 2013, and will continue to go there and highly recommend them to anyone who asks where to buy a car.

I bought my first brand new car here and the process was so fast and easy compared to other car dealerships. We were in and out in less than two hours! Every other car dealership I have gone to, its an all day event. Took my car in to get a part replaced, they were very helpful, gave me a VERY reasonable price and had it done way sooner than I had expected.I am definitely a loyal customer, they are quick, efficient, friendly, helpful, great customer service and do a fantastic job. Don’t go here for maintenance.We bought our 2018 Honda Civic from the dealership in Olathe (100% recommend) and we drove down to Pitt for the weekend to see family. On the trip down the oil light comes on and we add oil no big deal since we had an oil change scheduled for Monday up in Olathe which is routine. An hour later we check to see how the car is and there is a huge puddle of oil under the car. We try to start the car and it doesn’t start. We call Honda since we pay extra for “Honda cares” and they order a tow truck and send it to joplin since it is closer than Olathe. Whoever looked at the car told us that the engine was blown Because the oil plug had fallen out and that they can put a new one in for $3500. So stuck in Joplin all day and all of their loaner cars are rented out so we had to go get a rental which was $220 and then had to get a different rental in Olathe that was $220 as well. Olathe Honda wants to see the car so they schedule to have it towed so their mechanics (which we always go to) can look at it. We get a call from Olathe Honda and they told us that they had added oil and a new plug and the car is running perfect. They did a diagnostic test and made sure everything was up to standard. HOW do you go from a “blown engine” to adding oil and the car working perfectly??? The rentals are definitely cheaper than having to buy a new engine, but what did joplin mechanics even do to the car? Just assume it was blown? Because we picked it up from Olathe Honda a DAY after it was towed and worked on and it is running just fine. Now if an engine was blown, it wouldn’t start up correct? What a joke.

Would never buy another car from roper honda they sold car with problems from day one took it to their shop 5 times with in couple months in 2015 brakes tires battery sunroof leaked and the ignition went out from the time of August 2015 till the end of the year and when we had warranty forever in 2016 the hub was goin out had 2 other shops write it needed to be replaced but your service refused to look into it and had it fixed elsewhere fix your used cars better

Dont buy your car here we are currently having problems with this dealership we bought a one year old car with little over 20,000 miles we have had it about 2 years the first year we always took the car to roper to get oil changed even though it is an hour away from where we live with life and work and covid 19 we were needing a oil change called the service team at roper honda they told us to go to a licensed repair facility and to save our recipients we did that three weeks ago our car was acting fine and the check engine lite came on when we were bringing it in to roper we notice a small noise in the engine told roper they changed a sensor and charged us for that because they dont cover that but didnt fix the engine noise but the light was out we drove the car for 3 days and the noise got worse we stopped driving the car We scheduled a service for them to check out the vehicle to find out what the engine noises Now theyre saying it needs a new motor And a warranty forever will not honor the contract because we did not call and confirm everytime we got the oil change outside of roper honda The service department told us all we needed was to go to a license repair facility and save our receipts We feel that the service department telling us opposit of what the contract States was a scam for them so they dont pay any service work on our vehicle

Highly recommend.My first day of shopping for a car, I thought I was going to dread. However, I knew going in, I was going to a Roper. Having known all the Ropers personally and friends that have and are working for them, didnt hurt either. The salesmen and women were great; not pushy at all. They let me take my time, and handed me a card for when I was ready. I felt like a person and not just a piece of meat fed to the vultures. Ive been looking into buying a new car for a couple months. I walked into Roper with the expectation that my wants didnt line up with my finances. From my very first visit, my father and I were warmly welcomed to Roper Honda by Mike Bailey who sought to get to know exactly what aspects and features I was seeking in a vehicle, what was most important to me in the car-purchasing process, and what specific questions/concerns I had regarding the vehicles I had researched. I was able to freely express what I was looking in a vehicle as well explain what my budget was for the purchase. One of the most important aspects of my vehicle purchase was my desire to pay cash upfront and not finance the vehicle in order to avoid accruing debt. From the moment I expressed this, Mike respected this desire and consistently went out of his way to find ways to make it possible for me to purchase the vehicle I wanted while staying within budget. Following test drives and much research, I knew the Honda Civic was the vehicle I wanted to purchase based on the exceptional Consumer Report Ratings, Safety ratings, and additional valuable information that Mike took the time to fully explain to me. There were many instances throughout the vehicle-searching process where I thought it wouldnt be possible for me to afford a 2016 Honda Civic without financing, however, Roper willingly offered a discounted price with generous trade-in value on my previous vehicle as well as even offered to assist in the cost of covering the installation of a vehicle feature on my wish-list - all in order that I may uphold to my conviction of remaining debt-free. I’m not usually one to write a review, sure I have no problem clicking on a star rating and leaving it at that…but I feel like my recent experience at Roper Honda especially with Chris Martinez deserved a better then just the normal star rating we have come a custom to.Thank you, Chris, he was vital and a huge help in finding our two brand new vehicles and if you need a new or new to you vehicle, I would strongly recommend him. I trust him so much that I sent my closest friend to him and they live over an hour and a half away. They drove away in a brand new Pilot too. Also, another friend of mine bought a brand new HRV from him just today. That is two more people that have had a wonderful experience with Chris Martinez.

Everyone always complains without speaking to the dealer and giving themselves the chance to experience great customer service (and the dealer the chance to exhibit it)!Brian, the manager at the main lot has done just that! Ronnie has been very helpful during and after the sale, and Jack was also great to work with. These cars are very technologically advanced, and Jack gave us hands down the best new vehicle orientation we ever had. We have purchased two new Hondas in 2018 from David Humpfrey at Roper Honda in Joplin. If you want to purchase a Honda or a used vehicle go see David. He goes over and above to make sure you get what you want. He takes the time during the test drive to go over the entire vehicle and all of its features. When you leave the dealership you feel confident in what you have purchased. We have had some questions on the vehicle after our purchase and David was very helpful even after the sale to help us out and check on us. Thank you David for the excellent customer service!! Im scoring the service dept 5 stars based on todays visit. Ive been to get my oil changed, maintenance type things probably 8 times, all of which (besides today) I would have scored between 1-3 stars.. but the employee Michael today was worth more than 5* rating. Quick, efficient, friendly, more than helpful! I will definitely be back for my next maintenance needs, and will be requesting for him to work with me. I bought a car here in march 2017. Sales person Mark Reynolds was very helpful. Told him what I was looking for, how much I wanted my payments to be and he gave me several options to chose from. No pressure answered all my questions and then let me decide at my leisure.After the sale he followed up to be sure I was happy with the car and deal I got.Had first service done Saturday 7/1/2017.Very fast, my car was in the shop within 5 minutes of app time an was finished on time.Would highly recommend this Dealership and service department.

As most people, I dread the car buying experience from dealerships. I dread hours and hours spent and going home exhausted. Ill admit I am a bit of a skeptic. I have to say I was very impressed by the staff and experience at Roper Honda. This place is a dealership of integrity and I left there feeling like I met new friends. Not to mention I have a Forever Warranty which also offers a great value! I live in Springfield MO and David and Ronnie went out of their way to make sure I had very detailed pictures of any imperfections of my pre-owned truck and we worked out details before my purchase as I wanted to know as much as possible before the trip. Anyhow, I have high expectations and the way you can tell customer service and integrity is how things stack up if theres an issue and upon viewing the car there was one very small but pertinent detail that got overlooked. But they made it right!! I feel confident in saying that the people I dealt with on this transaction: Ronnie, George, Ryan and David had patience with me, inserted a bit of humor into what can be a stressful situation and quite honestly couldnt have taken better care of me! They made the purchase a really simple one! Plus all the other great people I met that put a smile on my face: Brian, Kathy, TJ, and last but not least Rick! I left with a feeling of confidence. Went in for routine service and a couple other repairs . Was provided with a loaner to drive for the day which was a newer model to think about upgrading to. Went back to dealer when work was finished up and we settled bill and decided to keep car. On the way out of parking lot my wife spotted a beautiful Candy Apple Red Honda Accord Hybrid. Ronnie and Josh and the rest of the Roper team went to work and got us in that vehicle and stayed a little late to get my wife in another fantastic Honda Accord. Josh was awesome and knowledgeable. By far, a great experience at Ropers Service Department. My family was traveling through Missouri when we had car problems because a less reputable Honda dealership in St Louis had not finished their work properly. However, Ropers team was quick to locate a hard to find part, keep me updated, and back on the road in less than two hours at no charge. They definitely went the extra mile and were professional in all regards. Even their sales team was nice. As I waited for the car to be repaired, I browsed the cars and the team was not pushy but helpful in answering questions on their vehicles, knowing I was just passing through. Wont be back. Ive tried calling the GM to tell them about my awful experience today, but they havent been able to take my calls. We took our van in for recall work. I asked them if they could look at a problem with the 3rd row seat in our van. The recall work was to fix a problem in the second row. So, quite literally, the person doing the repair, terribly familiar with what breaks in Honda vans simply had to look at the seat right next to them. For this egregious request, I was told there would be a $68 diagnostic fee. So, in other words, I brought in a vehicle that was so defective the dealership needed me to bring it back so they could fix it and when doing so, they refused to spend one or two minutes to look at what is likely a simple problem and wanted almost $70 for their help. Im pretty disappointed and feel this reflects some of our other bad experiences with Honda in the region. Certainly wont look here for our next car... might turn away from Honda completely.
