I am so thankful for Dr. Phelan. I have gone to a dermatologist since my teens. I am also very much a lover of the sun. Dr. Phelan was able to catch a melanoma at stage zero. It was removed, and he called me personally to ensure I understood all of the details of the treatment plan going forward. He immediately gained my confidence in all dermatology related concerns. I am continually impressed by him, his knowledge, the staff, the facilities and the overall experience.

Dr Phelan and staff made me feel very welcome, very professional atmosphere. My concerns were quickly resolved, I will be following up in a year. I highly recommend Dr Phelan.

I came in for forehead Botox/Dysport. It was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and personable. New patient information was a breeze to fill out through their electronic forms via an iPad. Dr. Phelan was super friendly and down to earth. Made me feel very comfortable. Bonus points for being a large breed dog lover 😉. Highly recommend going for your cosmetic or routine dermatological needs.

My first visit to Dr. Phelans office was a pleasant one. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Phelan seemed very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. Before he came into the exam room, he ask if he could bring a medical student with him. I just love having a doctors college in town.

From the first phone call we were greeted with friendliness, the receptionist was so helpful and genuinely concerned. She even put us on a wait list so we could get in sooner than the only other available spot. She called back within the hour to ask if we could come that afternoon due to a cancellation. We were so happy to get in so quickly. Dr Phelan was so knowledgeable and kind and personable. We feel so blessed to find him and his office. The entire staff was very professional and friendly. I had a very good first and so far only visit. I was referred by my primary over concerns of some skin cancers. Dr Phelan was very friendly, answered my questions quickly and completely. Front Desk had me key in my information electronically on an iPad which is so much better than writing out on forms. Front desk Staff was friendly. Absolutely love this place. Dr Phelan is one of the very few doctors I have that will sit down and discuss the problems you are having and instead of telling you what you are going to do he discusses the options with you. Way too many doctors will not make that effort to connect with their patients.

It was great very relaxed nothing like when I have ever been to a Dr. All there where easy folding and relaxed not up tight and that really helped my mood 100% I really liked everyone from the front desk to the exam room. We need a ton more Dr offices staff and Drs like this. I am happy to have been sent there he found in one visit what I have been seeing Dra for for almost 2 years and he found it is maybe 3 to 5 min. I just love this guy

Have been putting off seeing a dermatologist ( for over 5 yrs) as my only option was a Dr that has an unpleasant manner with patients and staff. So VERY HAPPY that Joplin now has a GREAT Dermatologist..... pleasant to talk to. Listened to me, examined my skin... and preformed the necessary procedures to fix my skin problems. I was in and out of the office in under 40 minutes. Staff are Great too!Joplin is Blessed to have Dr Phelan.

Annoyed I wasted my time going to a different dermatologist. ..dr. nate is wonderful and very informative and actually listened to what we had to say ...we spent more time in the waiting room and in the room waiting for the doc than we did the whole appointment with our previous dermatologist. .so for him to sit and talk to us and inform us why the other treatments didnt work was a breath of fresh air ..highly highly recommend dr.nate phalen

Edit 07/19/2021 (Stay away if youre on Medicare)With visit, I provided my ins cared and Medicare card. Since then, I have talked to them three times about Medicare not being billed. First two times, they said I never gave the the my Medicare number, which the guy behind the desk scanned my two cards and drivers license. STILL, nothing on my Medicare website about this. On 06/02/2021, I receive another bill and I called again on 06/25/2021.This time, I talked to the nurse mgr and she took my info again ( third time calling on this) and said she would send it in personally. Still nothing on Medicare.OLD REVIEWFriendly staff and doctor. Took the time to hear my concerns. I was new there and it was painless. They use tablets to do your paper work stuff, med history, name, address, etc. Insurance was the same but easy. This doc actually looks you over for skin cancer instead of just pretending. Time will tell if hes a keeper....

Our experience was great from the check in to the check out, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Phelan was great, he addressed our issue, answered our questions. And was very professional. We will defininitly return if the need arises.

Got in quick, got what I needed. Dr. Phelan and staff super friendly, definitely recommend if youre having skin problems. I didnt have insurance so it was $150 for the visit but its worth it for my skin.
