Appliance arrived defective. Would not turn on after the install. They made attempts to send a technician to fix it but they did not want to replace the item. We were without a dryer for almost two weeks and told two different technicians would have to deem it was not working right for them to replace the item per the manufacturers warranty.During this time there was a lack of care from the salesperson who was sarcastic about the situation. No true care or customer service at all. Someone who we would never go back to as well as recommend others not to. Lack of response from the services department as well. Made multiple calls to get a response or to schedule.What has happened to if an item is defective it can be exchanged replaced or returned? Isnt that what most businesses/retail stores agree to? An agreement is made at the time of the transaction. I pay for a product I am satisfied with. If I am not satisfied then I should be able to request for a refund or replacement.This item was installed without being able to power on even after a technician looked at it. That is a defective item. We didnt even run it once before it didnt work. That should mean it shouldnt be sold to anyone and returned to the manufacturer.Second technician came and got it to work but it only lasted for a short time. Fast forward to less than 6 months later it’s back to its original problem and at this time we do not know if this will be a recurring issue. Its very frustrating to be stuck with a product the company does not want to replace.We will never go back to Hamai Appliance again. Friendly during the sales transaction and you would think you would receive even better care when you really need it but unfortunately that’s not the case. We like to support local companies but with Hamai and their type of service and unknown policies and requirements we will go to their competition instead and refer others to do the same. If I could give 0 stars even a negative star I would. I had better experiences and care from Sears than Hamai.
When my washer finally broke beyond repair last night, I dreaded the thought of overpaying for a new one. Hamai to the rescue - washers in stock, great prices, delivery, set-up, and removal without forcing me to buy unnecessary hoses (mine are in good condition), and very helpful staff. I was thrilled to be able to support a local business and get awesome service.
Professional & knowledgeable from sales and installation to service. Hamai has been my go to for the best quality, selection and price. So grateful to be able to work with a local family owned business. Typically in stock but on occasion if delayed we’ll worth the wait.

Wide selection of appliances from used to new. They are very knowledgable about the products and are helpful when deciding which brand/style to go with. Good service, I was going to give it 4 stars but after dealing with a delivery problem with them and their professionalism in handling said problem was excellent. I would recommend Hamai for any and all your appliance needs!

I bought a refrigerator from them. Getting in Ohana required taking the doors off. They got it in. Put the doors back on and took the old monster from Lowes that lasted all of 6 years. I will never deal with the big box scores again when there is a local business that can personalize the service. These guys were cool!

This is one of the few local places left. It would be a shame if they went away. They have to compete with Home Depot and Lowes. But the service and knowledge is far superior. They made it possible to upgrade my condo in just a few days vs. weeks from everyone else. I would absolutely recommend them. They are awesome. Delivering and installing my washer/dryer next week.
Sales end is great. After service has been a warranty clerk who will not return multiple phone calls or multiple emails on 2 separate service requests. Our earlier rating here caught the attention of the owner and his responsiveness to our comments has been immediate, sincere and appreciated. ..... it would be four/five stars but for the warranty clerk.
If you buy an appliance at Lowe’s or Home Depot on Maui. Good luck if you get a lemon.I got a lemon and thank goodness I got it at Hamai’s. 2 years in, 1 year out of warranty I was able to get every penny on a refrigerator that I bought at Hamai’’s back from the manufacturer.They had all my service records, never hesitated to come out free of charge and take care of me. They tried replacing all parts in this refrigerator. To no avail it was not going to work.The team at Hamai’s helped with service records to get my money back and I got a new refrigerator. Having to order one for my small unit, I was nursing the old one through the waiting period. Perry, Keith and Garret were superstars and found me a refrigerator just in time before the neighborhood coolers were In order. What time for this to happen. Hats off to everyone at Hamai’s. I would recommend them whole heartedly. Service is the best

Bought $20,000 worth of appliances bought a downdraft and a blower salesperson neglected to inform me we needed several other parts for the blower and the downdraft now I have to wait weeks and weeks to get it in huge to service to customers

Get ready for disappointment and frustration!!Service is worst I’ve seen. Sit on hold for ever, leave a message and they never reply! Finally schedule an appointment and they don’t show up! Clearly this company does NOT care! Will recommend my friends do NOT purchase appliances from this company.

Terrible at everything they do in the office, for an entire week I left messages which were not returned, talked to someone and they told me someone would call me and that didnt happen, got something scheduled but they were supposed to call me to tell me what time they were coming, never got that call day of - so bizarre. these people do not know how to run a company and I would never recommend them.

Very disappointed in a bed purchase. The height of the new mattress and box spring are so tall that I cant use the bedside tables and headboards and lamps in my bedroom. I will need to make a plywood base for the mattress, and eliminate the box spring in order to use my existing furniture!!I had to pay $100 to have the bed delivered, and would have to pay the $100 again to have the box spring returned, and since Id only get $125 refunded its not worth it. Now I will have to pay someone to take the brand new box spring to the dump!!! I would have thought Hamai would have been more helpful in trying to solve this problem, but they obviously didnt care at all. I cancelled my order for a 2nd bed and will never deal with Hamai again. I like to support local businesses, as opposed to big chains, but if this is how they treat their customers, well,theyy dont deserve my business.
