Okay foods, nothing really stands out. Surprisingly their coffee is pretty good though, even though it was only a regular daily coffee. Service was slow, price decently. Overall, an okay experience.

A good measure of how good a restaurant will be is how good they are at making the most basic food item. Their vanilla rolled ice cream is as basic as it gets. The ice cream is prepped and served in front of you so you can see how its made. The ice cream itself is rich and flavorful. The $6.50 price tag is a bit on the expensive side, but theres no other ice cream places that Ive been to in Kahului with a comparable flavor.I wouldnt come here expecting something cheap, but the unique flavor coupled with the quaint atmosphere is enough for me to seriously consider coming back whenever Im in the area. Hau Lani is a definite go for me.

Unfortunately I wouldnt recommend based on my experience right now for 2 reasons. Their covid protocol (1) is interesting. You walk in and it reeks of disinfectant, I would be able to handle a clean scent or bleach scent, but it was a stinky disinfectant, and you have to get your temperature taken before you order.I came specifically to order boba. I like to have boba at least once while on vacation . I wanted a regular boba milk tea, they said they didnt have that. Whoever knew that they did have it, didnt look at me or talk to me, they whispered in the cashiers ear and she said they did have regular boba milk tea. Once I ordered and paid I was given the meal is ready indicator thing and told to wait outside until my lil contraption buzzed. I went inside, got my tea, walked away in my excitement to have my tea. I didnt drink it right away. When I did drink, (2) it was like a flavored coffee creamer with some small and not so great boba. Maybe it was an off day that day. I ended up tossing it after a few drinks. Based on the food reviews I would probably try their food.

Stopped for a quick lunch before catching my flight out of Maui. Hau Lani is 10 minutes from the airport. I had a breakfast wrap that ended up being a very light scratch made wrap with crepe - like scrambled eggs inside. It included diced onions and tomatoes with your choice of meat. It was very good. The menu is limited with a selection of smoothies and other healthy foods.

First time here. It just opened so it can get pretty busy. That being said, because it just opened and its pretty popular, most of their menu is out of stock. So you should all what they dont have before you order.Basically a Japanese/Asian cafe. A lot of cute Asian inspired sweets. Such as rolled ice cream, taiyaki, smoothies, shaved ice cream, etc. They have special frozen yogurt flavors that change.I got the boog-a-bang (sp?), Basically frozen yogurt served in a waffle cone shaped like a fish. I got the pistachio flavor, and it comes with toppings, I got chocolate sprinkles.Good first visit, the only thing that needs improvement is their menu. They have so much on their menu, which is awesome, but its so extensive that displaying it all is an issue. They show it on monitors that switch between items and it takes a while to kind of stand there and figure out what you want. They do have physical menus you can look through, but as far as I can tell, they only have a few copies of it. So I can just imagine mutiple situations that result in a customer not knowing what they want and standing at the register browsing the menu and taking a while to figure out what to order, because this is what happened to me.

Cute little shop and the Lady that was working by herself was nice enough, but wow it was overpriced and pretty slow. $20 for what equated to be an ice cream and a bottled lemonade and a glass coke bottle.....

I’ve been wanting to try this place since they opened and tonight I finally got the chance. I wanted to try the boog-a-bong but they didn’t have anymore. I then wanted to try the rolled ice cream but that was a 30 MINUTE WAIT! I then went ahead and ordered the mixed fruit crepe which was a crepe rolled with sliced strawberries, kiwi, and banana with cream in the center. I also included haupia ice cream and chocolate sauce and all of that came to $9. Definitely not cheap. If you are patient and want to try something new, try out Hau Lani but if you want cheap and quick dessert, then I would go to Tasaka’s or Baskin Robbins.
