Poke Rocks!!! Every Foodland Ive visited & other islands, You know your Poke well! Its my go to places.Suggestion: As a Tako guy, you need to spank it up a bit more (like Ono).

Good location in Kailua. Staff helpful and friendly. Really enjoy picking up a meal at the Deli at Food Land for a change of meals. Definitely a place to pick up a good meal to eat over at Kailua Beach.Parking can be crowded.The Coffee Bean is conveniently located to the left of the front door.

Generally like Foodland, was kind of upset recently when asking for a kosher section for Passover. They said they have these kinds of foods, but only seasonally (I think they mean just for Hanukkah)THIS IS THE SEASON! I understand it’s hard to keep track of everything, but this is a very major Jewish holiday.

This store was ok but needs to work on customer service. I visited on July 7, 2021 atThe guy at the fish counter was more focused on chatting with his colleague than helping me. I’m not from Hawai’i and am unfamiliar with poke, so I asked him what one variety of poke was, but he just kept chatting with his coworker about a baby shower and disregarded me. When I asked for my poke, instead of asking me if I wanted a poke bowl or just poke on its own, he very condescendingly says to me “Are you trying to order a poke bowl? Is that what you’re trying to order?” It went on like this but I won’t go on. It’s too bad because a lot of people told me Foodland was the place to go in Hawai’i, but I found Safeway’s employees to be much friendlier. The one redemption was the greeter by the door who actually said hello and thank you.

Awesome location thats easy enough to get through by car, walk, or bike. The poke is some of the best tasting of any location. Batches are small so you can bet the fish is fresh.

I live in Norway, and there are such boring grocery stores there. I love this store. They have 5x more stuff than my local store called Kiwi, And its way cheaper since Norway isnt the cheapest country.

Best supermarket in the state. Friendliest service, great prices, frequent shopper rewards, local products. Best poke on the island with a side of salt-n-vinegar chicken wings from the deli counter.... and the handmade sandwiches with freshly sliced Boars Head meat🤘

I am biased and I know it! I prefer this place so much over Safeway. The prices are better and the deals are numerous. The poke is very good! They even have their own in house products like tortilla chips and they are quite good! If you want a deal you definitely need to sign up for their deal card and hit up all the deals. Give it a shot!

Foodland still has the best prices on mostly everything compared to Safeway and other. Unique array of market items with its own food, deli, bakery, fish market and boars head counter. Items range from instant saimin to expensive deli arrays. Uniquely designed to include cafe deli products and has own pharmacy. Great place to shop whether its a quick pickup, regular shopping or just looking around. Easy to get to and with its own eaterie best designed.

Foodland is a good place to get your necessities. Everything is cheaper with the Maikai card which makes it ten times more worth buying groceries from them. Its never too crowded and they have lots of stock including hot food. Their poke is good. They fill the bowls up all the way. Big range of different fish. Staff are friendly too.

Stopped off at this Foodland on our journey around Oahu yesterday and I just want to commend the person who hired Dylan that was on the till. He was super helpful, polite and helped us when we were short a few cents for the bananas we were buying! A great representative for Foodland!

Good place for local ingredients in Kailua. This location is well kept and very clean. Grocery, dairy, produce, meat, every department is well stocked and faced whenever I shop here. Meat quality is usually top notch, far better than Safeway and Times. Cashiers are also friendly. Poke is also some of the best you can get in the area. On the downside, Foodland is definitely on the pricey side compared to their competitors. Only second to Whole Foods. But, you get what you pay for!

Always has what I want. Love their spicy imitation crab salad. Goes great on crackers.

Best poke on the island, hands down! Made fresh daily or made to order if you want it for special occassions. The price is equal to or cheaper than most other places. Enjoy!!!

Food land is a great counter to the national chains. The selection is very broad and theyre a great source of local products. They also tend to have a better selection than other stores in the area. The only downside is that the prices are kind of high.

Awesome products and customer orientation...needed sorbet for 14 for a Mothers Day brunch, none in the display freezer, asked pastry associate Kell for help... she stopped restocking, went to freezer in the back, came out with the sorbet i needed! ... all the time happy to assist. ... on top of that our Makai card got us a discount offered . product, service, and value!

Foodland is probably the best all round grocery store in town. Dollar for dollar they have done of the best prices too. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Its located about one block from Kailua road on Hamakua Drive.

Great local place for good selection of general groceries, but where it shines is their poke. Go early and line up with the locals for the cream of the crop of the day. Buy poke after 5pm and youll regret it.

This is a great little store that has more local foods than Safeway but is smaller in comparison. I enjoy the clean store and the employees are helpful when I have questions or requests.

Ive been shopping at the kailua foodland for years and I always have a great experience there. Some of the cashiers have seen my kids grow up from when they were born.

Thay had a table full of dry aku. The next day I came, only had 4 trays left. I grabbed them all. They are ono and fresh. Grab them while available if you want more than 4 trays 😀.

I love this grocery store and the staff is EXCEPTONAL! They are always ughter situated. This Kailua location is the only one so far Ive received such great help!!! Their customer service outshines every other one in town even the health stores.

While checking out of the Kailua Foodland on Mar. 30th around 6:00p.m., there were only 2 check out counters open. There were at least 6 to 7 people in each line trying to check out. I thought that Foodland advertised that they would open more cashiers when they were needed.By the way both cashiers that were open were very friendly and working very hard. The Kailua Foodland is my favorite store to shop at but sometimes my ice cream melts just waiting to check out. Can you work on this problem?

Parking isnt the easiest or reaching it and to me prices are a bit high. But overall an ok grocery store.

One of the two main local supermarket chains in Hawaii -- the other one is Times. Competitive with Safeway on prices, not really on selection. As others have noted, Foodland has become kinda famous -- and heavily shopped -- for its delicious poke. They have a huge selection of different types... my two faves are ahi limu and spicy ahi. Super good.
