Guss (naming because he insisted we leave a review) was very helpful in finding us a good mattress within our budget, especially since we are new to the area and it was our first time buying one. However, he made some uncomfortable racial comments regarding the north side of downtown under the assumption that I was white (my partner who was there with me is, but with masks on its harder to tell that Im not). I dont believe he would have said the things he did if he knew I wasnt white, and it made me very uncomfortable to hear him so casually speak to what he assumed was two white people (and assumed we would agree with his prejudiced remarks). It also makes me concerned about how he would have behaved with people more noticeably nonwhite that me.eta: This account does not use my real name, so any claims that I did not shop here because my name is not invoiced are false.

Just purchased my second mattress set from Guss Morey and the experience was great. A no pressure salesman with great knowledge of the mattresses he sells. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from him and Mattress Mart again. The delivery was on time and very professional- they moved the old mattress and installed the new one - all with smiles on their faces. Perfect place to find a mattress! After shopping 3 stores the night before and finding out none of the online mattresses we liked were available at the stores to try out I called Mattress Mart before wasting more time. Gus was wonderful! After telling him what we were looking for he took my number and promptly called back after checking inventory. We were able to try the mattress out that evening and purchased it. Gus is super friendly and funny to boot :) He helped us every step of the way and even arranged for the delivery guys to leave us the plastic bag from the bed delivered before ours so we could wrap up our current mattress for the trip to its new home. I am not one who really likes to do in-person sales/purchases. With that said, I was going to another location, as they had other mattress listed that were cheaper... I am SO GLAD they were not open! We walked in, and was treated well, with respect, and asked what I really wanted to get. I made a decision on the spot and ordered my Black Opal Cushion right away. There was no other hidden fees or costs whatsoever! That made me even happier!
