Visited the store this week for the first time as I want to support more local businesses. I was very satisfied with the service received, extremely friendly and helpful. Got NY strip steaks and they taste great!

Meat Masters is the best! Since day one of coming here the staff has been personable, kind and willing to go the extra mile. I am from a small town up north and I have not found many businesses in Katy with staff as friendly as this. The meat is always great quality. Their chicken breasts are the best!! So grateful I discovered a quality meat market with business owners that I am more than willing to support. Thanks guys!

Visited Meat Masters today for the first time after a friend recommended them. I arrived there shortly after they opened so it wasnt crowded. Everyone there was really nice and I cant even describe the different cuts/types of meat! I got a few items but I was very impressed with their porterhouse steaks! It was cut fresh to my desired thickness and cleaned up nicely by the butcher. I wished I would have gotten his name, but I will most certainly ask next time! Their meat is very high quality. I will definitely be coming back!

CAB Prime. Great place

Seems like a good place unfortunately there is no menu to see the varieties of selection. I walked in ready to splurge on a mix of everything but didnt know what to pick. Even if pricing changes, itd be nice to see options of what they carry. They had good specialty meets but was definitely pricey.

First time customer. Walked in and apparently just missed the crowd which is nice so I was helped right away. Bought 7lbs with off New York Strip and they were great.

Pleasure doing business with them. Both prime ribs I’ve bought have been amazing cuts. I like how they put extra effort into trimming fat and tying the meat. You can tell they take pride in their job and have a great time doing it.

I’ve been craving a good steak but with Covid haven’t been out in quite some time .one of my friends told me to try Meat Masters and I couldn’t be more happy and impressed with the cut of meat and the taste. I purchased three ribeyes 3 filet mignon a T-bone steak sage sausage and stuffed jalapeños and two packs of bacon. The flavors were amazing the staff totally amazing made you feel like Family. The prices are a little higher than what you might pay at Walmart or H-E-B but so totally worth it. Definitely have a customer for life.And to the staff keep doing what you’re doing you’re definitely doing things right.I should’ve taken a picture but I was so hungry by the time I thought of it my steak was gone.

Meat Masters is absolutely awesome. Everyone there is super nice. The place is very clean and inviting. The prices are more than fair for the quality of meat you are getting. And let me tell you the quality is outstanding! Get your meat from here and youll wonder how you ever got it from the regular grocery before.

If you’re looking for boerewors and biltong, this is your place! Great customer service and delicious biltong. You can even ask to make a different wors recipe and they’ll make it for you👌🏻 Been looking for biltong for a while and found a good place.

We use the great team there for their excellent South African boerewors and biltong. Marvin and his team are so focused on customer service. They know their customers by name. They care about your feedback and needs. I carry their business cards to events where I use their meat products just so I can share their business with more people !!

Went to their shop yesterday looking for a brisket they were sold out which is not suprising. They took my name and number and said they would call me today when the truck came in. I waited for a call and by 2 pm decided to make another trip to the shop. At which point they tell me they are sold out and told me when they recieve another truck told me I would have to comeback another day. I refuse to visit this butcher shop 3 times to pick up a brisket. They could have at least called since they did take my number. Needless to say i will not be returning to meat masters as they lack integrity and customer service.

You will love everything they have to sell!! My favorites are the Boerewors - South African Sausage and Biltong - South African jerky.

Update: Went back and gave the filet another shot, and this time it was delicious. May have been a bad day and a bad cut. Revising to 5 stars!Mixed Review here. Had a good experience the first time round when we purchased their ribeye - overall very good.But this week, decided to splurge for the filet mignon and was extremely disappointed. Very rough cuts, only about half an inch high, with more fat than the ribeye had running through, which should never be present in a super market filet, let alone at $33 per pound. It was so far off, I had to check the tag to see if I had actually purchased filet mignon.Avoid the filet mignon, can vouch for the ribeye.

Purchased a pack of lamb shanks and a T bone steak, got home and the steak was rotten!!! Very disappointing to be sold a rotten T- Bone steak!! Never again!!

Marvin and his staff are always helpful and friendly. They really work on getting to know you by name and if you leave there with any question unanswered its because you didnt ask. The carry all sorts of stuff, exotic meat, local eggs, boudin, and will slice anything the way you want it.

Great place! Went there my first time today, I got 6 prime steaks, looked great! Just cooked a ribeye and was one of best steaks I have had in a long time! The guys were nice, helpful, and gave me exactly what I was asking for, the way I wanted it! It’s been a long time since I’ve had a good butcher I’ve used. I was so impressed and would recommend to everyone. Good by and check them out, you’ll be happy you did, and your taste buds will be too!

How butchers shops should be. Super friendly, informative and knowledgeable. These guys have the only shop I’d recommend to a friend. Caleb’s British bangers are as close to true British sausages I’ve found in the U.S.

A little hidden gem in katy!! This place rocks. Everything is super fresh! Everyone that works there are all very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. I am so thankful to have found this place! I no longer have to settle for the gross meat and fish in the grocery stores. Oh yeah, they have fresh fish flown in twice a week too and even have some ready for the oven stuff!

The “Boulvewors” is exceptional!!! As a South African, me and many of my friends can vouch that these guys makes the best Boerewors in town. By a long shot!Thanks guys keep it up!

Youre of course going to spend a little more for high quality meat, so if youve never purchased from a butcher before, walk in knowing that. The quality of the meat selection is excellent, and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The great thing is walking into this store is letting them guide you in choosing the best meat for your needs. Everyone is very helpful and friendly and its a great place to go for that next BBQ.

Fate (okay...Google Maps) directed my wife and I to this awesome provider of high quality meat. Came in to purchase Prime Rib and was invited to check out which end of the Prime Rib we wanted (Del Monaco or the leaner side). The proprietor cut and tied our selection up and sent us on our way with two huge Idaho Russett potatoes as a parting gift for our first visit to the shop. The effort to personalize the service provided was top notch as we were treated like we were long time customers. The other customers in the shop praised the meat quality and service while awaiting their own orders. You effort to visit this butcher shop would be well worth your time!

By far the place to go for high end meats. I live in Katy so fortunately this is a convenient stop for me. However, I would drive out to the place regardless of my location for the owner and his quality products/service. Very high recommended and I suggest every try it at least once.

This is Katy’s best ! We enjoyed the most delicious smoked Thanksgiving turkey EVER last year and are picking up this year’s next week. Did I mention our Christmas ham and the smoked brisket, real Idaho potatoes, home-made tamales and the Picanha beef and if you don’t know what that is, boy, are you in for a treat !! Gosh, we used to think you had to be rich and famous to enjoy such deliciousness, but Marvin’s found a way to provide both. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

So I needed some crab meat for some crab cakes I was making for supper. The 3 local grocery store stores in the area were out. So I called MEAT MASTERS in Katy on Fry Rd. The butcher didnt stock it but he said he will call one of his venders to see bout getting me some delivered to his butcher shop for me to pick up.Long story short, he had me a pound of crab meat in an hour!THATS SERVICE YOU DONT GET ANYWHERE ELSE. Ive never had some body go out of the way like that for a customer just for a 15.00 jar of crab meat. Marvin was super nice! Great little old school butcher shop. Definitely has earned my business anytime I need meat or specialty foods. GREAT JOB MEAT MASTERS!!

We went last weekend for the first time and got a few ribeyes cut to our liking and they were awesome! Super friendly and knowledgable staff. Definitely coming back and making myself a regular!

Ordered a 1lb tenderloin cut. Got home and the majority of it was sinew and fat. Really disappointed with the quality for the price.

Walked in not really knowing what to expect & immediately felt at home Marvin & Larry were super knowledgeable on meats & with their friendly service its easy to see why they have so many regulars. Ill count myself amongst them! They call you by name and provide quality service with great meats, whats not to like!!

Everyone is always extremely friendly when you walk in and the quality and taste of the various meat cuts is incomparable to anything you can buy in Houston. Try a thick cut ribeye from Meat Masters and you will never buy a steak from your local grocery store again!

Staff is great, really helpful, and talk to you over just about anything. Not to mention the excellent quality meat that they cut in store, much better than your local supermarket. I have not found any other place in Houston like this place, will always be coming here for my meat.

Went for lamb shank and they had plenty of it. Tasted awesome braised. Way cheaper than HEB down on Fry Rd. People were so friendly and helpful. Will be going back.

Looked all over houston for a place to buy picanha. I called them last Thursday and they had it! The guy I spoke with over the phone answered all my questions some before I even asked. Wasnt able to make it out there that day so today I was able to make the drive, 40 min to an hour. Well worth it!! The gentleman that help me was very friendly, gave me great advice and even offered to seal it up if needed. My husband didnt get why I wanted this cut of meat so bad but after having it off the grill today he said its well worth the drive. So we will be returning customers. Thank you!

Make sure the cut of meat youre asking for is the actual cut youre getting and paying for!After looking for a decent butcher to get a cut of meat for our Christmas dinner we were hosting, we decided on Meat Masters. We went in on the Saturday before Christmas and it was busy - which was to be expected. We placed an order for a 6lb roast and waited for it to be trimmed up. When the butcher said our order was ready, I went to the counter to pay ($75) and while I thought it was a little pricey for a 6lb roast, I paid because of the rave reviews I had read. Fast forward to Christmas Day - when my husband pulled the package out of the fridge he was none to pleased to open the package and see 8 filet mignons when we had 13 people to feed. It was really disappointing because we had a menu planned out in advance and no time or places to run out to to get more meat. And Im sure whoever ended up with our meat was none to pleased either. 🤷‍♀️

I received a whole country ham and had no way of slicing it. Meat Masters helped me out with this and I am so greatfull I will be back to buy meats here. Thank you so much

Prayers for Marvin my favorite Butcher in West Houston area and the Team. I went on Saturday and learned that Marvin is in hospital in a bad way after stroke 3 weeks ago. I drove over after work and picked up 13 pc and already ate 3 for dinner yesterday.They were simple like Polish sausage, delicious not over spiced perfect for my Easter Horseradish Soup with boiled and blessed eggs. Just recently found these guys. THANK GOD!!! Have tried several cuts. But my favorite so far has been the baseball cut filet mignon. After bringing it to room temp I cooked it in a blazing hot cast iron skillet with EVOO. Seared each side for 2 minutes then rolled the sides to lock in juices. Finished off in oven at 415° for 6 minutes topped with an anchovies garlic butter for basting. WOW!!! You could almost cut this 3 inch piece of meat with a fork and hardly had to chew it. Because it melted in your mouth like butter!!! Hands down the best meat market Ive ever done business with!!!!

This is a true find. An old style butcher where you are called by your name, that means a wonderful service and knowledge. Also if you, like me, enjoy Brazilian picanha (sirloin) or Brazilian linguica (sausage) you are in the right place. Mr Marvin is unique, always welcoming his costumers with good energy and offering the best. The filet mignon is premium and also the chicken breast. I totally recommend!!!
