Excellent place for venison sausage, fresh beef, and pork. No more grocery store chickens for me. Excellent prices, too. Definitely my new go-to meat market. And, very friendly, helpful staff. Thank you for making my first experience worth the trip!

I think the others reviews have said more than I can summarize—Let me add that they’re serving some really good food. After walking around the store we decided to check out the menu.

Many in or out of Katy are familiar with our iconic Midway BBQ. Fewer people are aware of its sister operation Midway Meat Market and Deli, just a short drive down the street. Being in the area today I decided to give it a try.The enviroment of the small space is both homey and small town. The look and feel is more what you would expect while on a hunting trip than a big city “deli.” The hunting and fishing trophies scattered about add to this feal. They are located in a smaller shopping center, but the interior is very comforting.The menu is heavy on burgers, BBQ, and such along with breakfast staples. They also have specials every day of the week. Today being Friday, and never being one to pass up a Philly Cheesesteak I ordered the combo since it was today’s special. Even though I arrived late into breakfast, but not quite lunch time the counter staff did not skip a beat when I ordered from the lunch menu when most seemed to be still ordering breakfast.My order came in a resonable amount of time. The roll was obviously freash and very soft. The roast beef was some of the most tender I have ever tasted, and was well seasoned. The peppers and the rest of the filling added a pleasant contrast in flavors that was far from overpowering. The mac and cheese i had as my side was warm and creamy, but the noodles were not cooked to death.The next time you are in Old Katy pay them a visit at 5901 Highway Blvd. they are open 8am -7pm seven days a week. I doubt you will find disappointment on the menu !

Got takeout here, and the burger tasted really unpleasantly burnt, as if they didnt clean the flat top at all. It was also quite tough and chewy; not much fat in the patty, or overcooked? The fries, chicken, and brisket were all pretty good, but having an off-tasting burger kinda spoiled the meal.

My father and I go here ever year for deer processing and they never fall short of giving good service. Great selection. Highly recommend going there for deer processing. They also do hog processing but I if it has a pair of low hanging swinging fruit on it the will not take it, just a heads up

I never buy meat at the grocery store! The best meat hands down. Always fresh. The guys will cut our meat to your specifications. Love their fillets and the Bacon Fajita Roll!

Love everything about this place. Great people. Great meats. Enjoyed lunch a while back and had some excellent breakfast tacos the other morning.

Good on dinner was really good. A little salty, but I like it this way. Grocery store, meat market, deer processing and burger shack.

Great selection of fairly priced fresh and frozen meat. The butchers are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Im looking forward to trying some of the spices for homemade bacon, sausage, and burgers. The food in the deli looks delicious as the have a nice assortment of cheese and deli meat (dont confuse large with nice).

I loved everything about the store food, Meats, all sorts of Little Goodys.

The sausage is pretty good but I specifically told them I wanted 1/2 ground and 1/2 sausage. When I picked up only had 10 pounds sausage and 30 pounds of ground.. was not to happy with my experience

Called this location earlier today to inquire About meat packages. Spoke with a male. He stated that I could come in but they wont take any phone orders. I drove over 30 mins in the rain to this location to be told they have meat packages but they are not for sale. I was told that I can purchase the meat separately at ridiculous pricing that would double the price of the actual meat package. Ive used this location in the past and thought that they were awesome. In times like these when things are scarce and all you want to do is feed your family Midway should be ashamed. Then on top of it the woman at the register has the nerve to get nasty when I let her know that this was terrible customer service especially after we called before we came. Very upsetting And I will not be coming back to any establishment associated with this company ever again. Not okay.

Great local grocery with good selection of meats and awesome lunch! The staff is very friendly and helpful and greets you with a smile. I enjoy eating lunch here every week (especially with the bottled Big Red)!

First class service. Midway processed my whole animals quickly and at rate that you can’t beat. The staff is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous.Although the signage says “deer processing”, they do an amazing job on domestic stock animals.My large order (sheep and lamb) was ready 3 weeks earlier than the agreed processing time.

DO NOT take your deer here for processing they will rip you off

Herman and his family have been processing our deer and wild hogs for 8 years and we could not be happier. All their recipes are fantastic and we have shared our wild game with many family and friends who rave about the flavor. The first time that I visited the Midway Meat Market and caught a glimpse of the business office there, my jaw dropped. Theres a cape buffalo head, walrus tusks and a set of fossilized mammoth tusks that a gold mining friend of the owner found in Alaska.Im pleased to say that the pit smoked barbecue brisket that Midway turns out is spectacular.And the meat market proper offers jerky and smoked sausages in the classic German-Texas smokehouse style; its possibly the closest small-town old school meat market to Houston.This place is a treasure.

We got some Pepper Jack sausage from Midway Food Market, cooked it this morning and it was wonderful! Love the flavor of the sausage. The Midway Food Market is kinda like going back in time to an old fashioned meat market, plenty of customer service and a great experience.

Midway is a staple of the Old Katy Community. I have been going there since the early 70s it was a stand alone store back then next to the old John Deer Store. When in high school we used to walk over and get some Crackers and Summer Suasage. Didnt matter if you had any money back then you could just charge it and come back later to pay. I dont hunt anymore but back in the day I did and Midway was hands down the best processing around, yes sir even better than the Old Boys at Fulsher Meat Market. So if its a big ole porterhouse, thick filet or just link of suage your looking for it doesnt get any better than Katys Midway Market!!!

This place has great sausage and it alway smells so good in there. Very nice staff. They have been around for a long time.
