Rude staff. As someone else posted, they talk bad about clients and are overall condescending. It’s pretty sad. All of the good reviews are from the previous owner, not the new ones. Go somewhere where you aren’t belittled by “professionals”. If it’s any constellation, the doctors are SO nice as well as some of their nurses. It’s the front desk, sales associates and owner that’s gotta go….

The doctor was phenomenal and super friendly. However, Im disappointed with my overall experience.Ive been a long time patient of My Eye Dr. for over 10 years now and I know to alway inquire about insurance and coverage as rates fluctuate yearly. Im disappointed this round, I spoke to whom I was told the employee who handles insurance inquires and was told my eye contact exam could be priced matched at the lowest rate of $75 plus the $10 co-pay. I was also told I could waive the eye imaging but during the appointment the doctor highly suggested it...After my exam was completed, I was told that information was incorrect and my contact lens exam couldnt be price matched, which ended up being about $40 more than expected. Yami did price match my contacts, which I’m grateful, but Im still disappointed that the information I was given couldnt be honored. During this pandemic, families are on tighter budgets and financial offers should be honored.(Follow Up)was phenomenal. Thank you for caring your patients. I greatly appreciate you resolving the concern on the corporate level. Thank you!8/24/21Ive been apart of My Eye Dr for over ten years and visited locations in NC and GA. Im a new resident to Houston and wanted to give this location a chance, considering Im close by. However, this location just isnt up to par with the My Eye Dr brand. I really hope they get more qualified staff in there or better training soon. I had the pleasure of speaking to Sabrina yesterday, she was super sweet but may have given me incorrect information on my contact order. In less than 24hrs my contact order went from owing $70 to being refunded $54 and paying a balance of $10. Today, I spoke to the manager, Mary and asked for clarity but she was extremely short, impatient, and shockingly rude (customer service was terrible). This is the second time getting different cost from different employees. Initially, it was the contact exam being quoted incorrectly (which thankfully, the difference was refunded by corporate and thoughtfully explained) and now this contact order. What if I would have went ahead and paid the $70 difference? Super confusing and honestly unsettling.I really liked My Eye Dr when I was a patient in Fayetteville NC and Atlanta GA while away at graduate school. However this location, yall save your time, go across town. This new location isnt up to par.

This business earned ONE STAR from my husband and me simply because everyone was so NICE who handled our business--from the receptionist, the dr assistant, the dr, the opticians, and the ones who calculated the more than $2000 we spent on glasses and sunglasses. We visited first in mid-June and were promised glasses on July 5th and July 7th. Those days came and went and no glasses arrived. We were given excuses that they came in but didnt meet their QC standards so they were returned to the lab to be remade...then the shipment was delayed due to rain...then we got an automated message that they were ready for pickup. But after driving 20 miles to pick them up, we were told that their automated notice system was not working and no glasses were in. My husband received his regular glasses first and, surprisingly, they were good. His sunglasses got delayed so many times that he cancelled the order and requested a refund. My glasses came in 2 weeks ago and I went to get them and could not see with them. I met with a different optician who advised that the original tech had incorrectly marked the position for the bifocals to begin--and with that error, I would never be able to read. He marked the new glasses and asked for 14 days to get them in. We were notified on Thurs, July 29, that they were in. Drove there again (20 mile trip) and tried on the glasses. The regular glasses seemed ok--not perfect--but was asked to try them for a few days for my eyes to adjust to the new Rx. I agreed to try. My sunglasses, however, were no better than previously--but I agreed to try them as well. When I got in the car, I opened the sunglasses case and found the lenses to have the optician marks on them to indicate where the bifocals should start. I went back into the office and asked why new lenses had measurement marks on them. She examined them, went back into oblivion and found that the lab had made the new lenses, but not installed them into the glasses. The optician switched them out and ...voila...I could see better automatically. She and everyone were SO NICE! But how a business can run with that kind of service, performance, delivery, etc., while spending thousands of my and my insurance company money (over $2,000), Ill never know. We will not, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, set foot in that establishment again for our vision correction needs!

One of the worst places to get your glasses done. I ordered my 13 year old daughters glasses and still waiting to receive them after a month. They completely messed up the order and never have the courtesy to call and inform. My daughter has been doing virtual school with her old glasses and her number have changed dramatically. Even after paying over $500, I am made to wait for their mistakes. Extremely, unprofessional staff, who will tell you over and over about their lunch hours and have no shame on telling that they dont check voice messages. And the doctors should focus on training staff and teach some empathy to their staff. May be they should start first. Again, dont go off the positive reviews listed here, they probably got something in return to write them.Update: Finally got my daughters glasses today. They lost 4 people today (my family) for good. It might not make a big difference, but when you are leaking, each and every drop matters. Fix it.

Grand Vision is a great place to go for checkups and visits. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The staff are usually on top of things, with the exception of an occasional long wait time. However, one thing I do not recommend is buying glasses from their sales department if you are on a budget. You can go to Costco or some other online glasses provider for a much more affordable option. If you want luxury glasses then by all means buy from them, but if youre on a budget look elsewhere.

Got my exam mid December and wasnt happy with the dr then. I miss the other brother that used to be in this office. I dont like daily contacts and didnt want them but the dr refused to listen and thats what my prescription is for. So bought glasses, but still dont actually have them more than 6 weeks later.The first pair went missing. The second pair was promised by Jan 21st. They called and had me come this morning to pick them up only to be told that they messed up and the lab hadnt actually sent them back. So now I have sunglasses with one prescription in them, because again they didnt listen when I told them i wanted to wait for both pair to be in for them to switch the lenses. Not happy and so frustrated at this point.Oh and while sitting in here one of the many trips they had me make the front staff discussed a trouble customer by name in front of me. They made jokes about making another employee deal with him because they didnt want to. Violation of privacy to the extreme.

Very disappointed!! From the initial visit of being charged 113.05 for CONTACT FITTING FEE!!! I paid 10.00 for my eye exam!!! Was not advised when asked if I was interested in contacts that it was an additional cost of 113.05!! I’ve paid contact fitting fees before about 25.00 is average fee. I then go to pick up my glasses and I understand the extra precautions due to COVID. But making you wait outside, and they bring the glasses to to try them on in the parking lot is ridiculous! I was in the office trying on glasses to PURCHASE but I can’t go in and sit to have you fit my glasses properly!! Very much disappointed with the whole experience!! Needless to say never going back..but I’m sure it won’t matter since I paid for everything up front! Save your money go elsewhere!!

I chose this place because of the good reviews and good things people had to say. The receptionist was nice. My prescription was way too strong but I trusted they knew what they were doing because they were “professionals.” I suffered from terrible headaches often. Chose a new eye doctor and I was told my prescription was too strong and had it adjusted.

They were unwilling to work with me on my not being able to wear a full face mask do to my not being able to breath caused by cancer treatments we never even got to the point where they ask me why I didnt want to wear a face mask that totally abstracted my ability to breath. I was a patient with them for over 12 years. And was totally disrespected. There not being able to work with customers has caused them a very loyal long term relationship with me.

Don’t go there anymore. It is now owned by MyEyeDr, who bought the office from the Donaldsons. I scheduled an appointment online at the Hwy 99 location for today. When I arrived the door was locked and there was a sign saying “Office Closed for Training.” I looked on the office and saw 3 women. I knocked on the door and one came to the door, unlocked it, and stepped out. She said she was the new office manager and informed me of the sale after I explained that I had an appointment. I told her I received no text message or phone call about a cancellation and she rudely said “We are closed. There are no appointments all week here. You’ll have to come back another day.” No offer to reschedule, no apology, nothing. Needless to say, I won’t be going back another day.

We had a bad experience, extremely unprofessional staff. They charged 113 for contacts without explaining the costs upfront. When we wanted to cancel the trial for contacts within 30 mins of the order, first they agreed and the very next day went back on their word when I called trying to work a refund.Working with BBB, have very little hope for a resolution but this is the worst experience with an eye doctor shop that I have had. We will not be going back to this place.

I saw Dr. Becker at Grand Vision, Katy location. What a nice and professional doctor! He was personable and kind, and gave good explanations and recommendations. The young lady who administered the vision screening tests was friendly and professional.The optician who assisted me in choosing and ordering my frames was also very personable and professional. I have been a patient at Grand Vision for several years, and have always had good experience. They have the latest in technology.

Locking my prescription so I cannot go to other providers for glasses was a deal breaker for me. There are dime a dozen optometrists and there is nothing special about grand vision. The staff have an attitude like they are a premium provider of services. Sorry you are not.

Ashley was so very patient and helpful during the entire process. I have a tiny face and it’s very hard to find the right frames for my face and she was so very kind while helping me. Dr. Ryan also made my whole experience so pleasant. I LOVE Grand Vision now! And this comes from a person that has worn glasses for all of my life so I definitely know a thing or two about eyeglass shops and doctors.

There are so many good ophthalmologists and optometrists in Katy, Grand Vision is not one of them.Unable to post a 0 star review, but that would more than deserving.Please be careful and make sure that you understand what they will charge for. They surprise you with new charges that were not discussed or requested. They also charged for the free sample lens.Please do yourself a favor and use google to find someone else.

She made picking out glasses so easy and explained my insurance plan very well. I even purchased sunglasses. I’m super picky and she was very patient with me while trying to make my decision. I have never been more pleased with an eye exam, or any other doctors appointment, for that matter. On my two visits for a contact lens fitting (the second a normal follow-up), I saw Dr. Donaldson very soon after my arrival and was very impressed by both his warm and friendly demeanor and his professional knowledge. His staff are also a pleasure to deal with. A great experience and well worth what for me was a 25-minute drive.

ON 6/19/2019 my wife and I brought our 10 year old sons broken designer frames into Grand Vision Center for repair. We had purchased these frames at this location and the frames are still in warranty.After paying the money to receive the warranty frames we were told the frames would be in within one week and we would receive a call from Grand Vision Center. No call ever arrived.I called 7/01/2019 to inquire, and left a voice mail for a return call. No call ever arrived.I called again on 6/19/2019. I spoke with the appointment setter and inquired as to the frames. The employee told me she didnt know, but she would ask and have them call me back. No call ever arrived.I called again on 6/22/2019. I spoke with the employee who answered the phone and asked to be placed on the phone with the manager, Lisa. I was told the manager was busy, but she would return my call. I politely and nicely confirmed with the employee that it was important to me that the manager do return my call. I was given assurances. No call ever arrived.Today, 6/23/2019, I called in and spoke with an employee and told them Id like to speak with Lisa. I was put on a long hold, and finally Lisa did arrive. She started off with an apology and in the same sentence told me she had no idea where the frames where. She stated she needed to make a call, and can I call you back?I dont know... do you think she can? Will she?? I just want my child to be able to see when school starts this year in August. At this point, my expectations of customer service and a sense of urgency from this location is zero. Thats how many stars this place gets from me. And no more of my business. Take your hard earned cash somewhere else, if you dont want to be hassled.

I absolutely loved my visit to Grand Vision. Not only was the front desk staff helpful and kind, the manager Lisa and Jamie were very knowledgeable, accommodating, and patient. That is hard to find in a busy practice like Grand Vision. I never felt like just a patient, I always felt like a person who got their undivided attention. They are there to help in any way possible. My glasses were ready in 2 days (amazing) and I have received so many compliments on them. Since my visit, I have referred 2 more patients to them and will continue to do so. I recieved a patient appreciate invite on Monday after I purchased a pair of glasses and was considering buying a pair of sun glasses. I was told that the pair I liked would be $180.00 plus tax because of the 50% off. Today i returned they ask for my name and told me to sit down and someone would help me. They had a lot of people working there and around 6 employees where just standing there so after a while I got up to look around I also knew what I wanted because I was there on Monday. After about 10 minutes someone asked me if I needed help. I asked for the total for the pair I liked and she quoted me $229.00.Because I felt that I was mislead I told her that I was not interested but since I was there I wanted to sign up for the raffle I was told that I would get 3 drawing but it was only for buying customer. I notice people coming in and leaving with bags of items and they didnt even put there names down. I dont appreciate the way I was treated by there staff as a repeated customer.

My Husband experienced some complexities with his glasses order. These circumstances can happen to anyone. However, its the the level of customer service you receive that is of the most value and Lisa did an exceptional job working with us to get the glasses he needed. She’s a sweetheart, professional, knowledgable, and has phenomenal customer service skills. We loved working with her. She always maintained her composure and patience. The staff was equally attentive, professional, and patient with the whole situation. I learned in my sales glass you buy from people you like. With that said we’ll definitely continue going to them for our eye care needs. We were also pleased with the competitive pricing of their high quality lenses and nice frames. Between my husband and I we got 3 glass and a year worth of contacts. While I was searching for an optometrist closer to home I notice the negative reviews about the wait which I disregarded because I’ve never been to a doctor’s office where I didn’t have to wait. I normally take a half day off work for doctors appointments. Surely I don’t want my health care professional rushing through my visit. If that’s my expectation I can reasonably expect that a good doctor will spend adequate time with all their patients. However, I was fortunate in that I hardly had to wait to see the doctor both times I was scheduled.

Dr. Brett fitted me with Scalera contact lenses two months ago to improve my vision due to RK surgery in 1984 which has now caused severe dry eye. These contacts are amazing! My family has been under the two Donaldson doctors care for 5 years. The two doctors and their staff are professional and caring. I would like to share our recent experience with you: My son lost his glasses during his senior class trip to a water park. We made the appointment on May 29 and explained to the staff that my sons graduation ceremony would be the coming Friday, June 5. We were assured that the glasses would be ready on Wednesday, June 3. Sure enough, we got the phone call on Wednesday. My son looks stunning and handsome with his new glasses at his graduation ceremony. Thank you, Grand Vision staff!

My family and I have been seeing the Drs. Donaldson for about 10 years. They are always patient and able to explain things to us and our kids. I always feel welcome there and they dont pressure me to upgrade my backup pair of glasses, which I appreciate.Updated: this year my middle child got contacts. They worked with me to find the least expensive way to upgrade her glasses to the new prescription and get a years worth of contacts without breaking the bank. Were going to put new lenses in her old frames. Again, Im thankful that they will work with us and our budget. I continue to highly recommend Grand Vision.

My wife paid for and ordered her contacts in December 2015. As of January 23, 2016, her contacts have supposedly still not arrived. We keep being told that they were ordered and should be received within the week, but over three weeks later, we are still waiting.I fail to understand how no one can give us a direct answer as to why we have not received them or when we should expect to receive them. Additionally, no one ever calls us to give us an update. We have to call each and every week to find out what is going on.Not a good experience so far.

I was at Grand Vision Center recently, and enjoyed the experience. They were professional and cordial. From the time I was welcomed at the door by staff (Andrea), to the preliminary exam (thank you Lily), to the eye exam (thank you so much Dr. Ryann and Jen), and then to the fitting and eyewear (Brittany), I found the experience to be far less anxious than I otherwise would have anticipated. They made me feel relaxed and comfortable.In fact, to be more particular, Brittany was very helpful in helping me choose my eyewear. Without doubt, she is knowledgeable about the products, and answered all my questions. And she made me feel well enough to trust her judgment/opinion. She took the time to make sure I was comfortable with my selections. She is very easy to relate to. As a result, I see, look and feel so much better. Thank you, Brittany.I will definitely refer family and friends. I had a terrible experience! I was there for almost 3 hours for my annual checkup. I asked several times what was taking so long and was told a woman came in with her three kids and they werent expecting all of them. I understand that there are emergencies in the medical field and sometimes you need to wait for an appointment, but this was not an emergency and pretty much ruined my afternoon. Of all of the people I spoke to, I received zero apologies. On top of all that, I ordered a years worth of contacts and it took them almost 3 months to get them to me! Unorganized and unapologetic, I will not be back and with all of the competition in the area, I suggest you do the same.

The care and attention to my exam was second to none. By far the most thorough eye exam I have had and they took time to explain the results of all the test and how they look at the present time and what to look for in between exams incase of changes before the next exam.
