Wow, what an experience! It is never easy living in Houston when the AC goes out, especially with two little ones. Robin got us on the schedule ASAP and sent out a Senior Tech named Jefferson who was so thorough and informative on our options and time frames. We decided our best option was a new AC system. They gathered the materials that same day and had a crew out the next morning with a new system that will last us a long time. Needless to say, Robin and his team will be my first call every time. I highly recommend this company.

We had our AC go out on a hot day. I called Cool Air Sam, and a technician was sent out to our residence within 45 minutes. They were very knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed & repaired our problem. We had called other places to come out as well, and nobody else was even available to come out until the next evening. I am extremely grateful for Cool Air Sam, and would recommend them to anybody who has AC issues!

Amazing! Called these folks on Tuesday morning about my squealing outside unit. Edgar showed up around 2p (yes, same day). He diagnosed the problems and clearly communicated to me the situation as well as my repair and replace options. I called back around 6p having chosen the replace option. At 8:30a Wed (thats right, the next day) Ramone and Gerardo showed up and had my new unit installed by 10a!

Im writing to let you know that I really had an amazing experience with Jose, Roger and Russell. On April 11th, Jose and Roger installed a new AC unit in our home and it took them less than 4 hours to complete! Not only were they efficient, but very meticulous with our house. After they left, our house was cool again.This morning, Russell, came and followed up on the new AC system and it was running well as I expected. I have been using Cool Air Sam for years and they perform all maintenance for my heating and air conditioning. I used them to install the replacement of the HVAC equipment that was original to my home with higher efficiency equipment. AC stopped working over night. Called Cool Air Sams number at 6:30 am and spoke to their answering service I believe. She was very professional and friendly while taking my information. The office called be back within 30 minutes to let me know they were working us into the schedule and would be there by noon. Tech was at the door a little after 8:30. E. Jefferson was very professional, explained what was wrong, provided 3 options to get the system fixed. The crew that came out later with the order were very professional and had the house cooling down by 2:30-3. Highly recommend Cool Air Sam for your AC/Heating needs.

Once you get past the rudeness and arrogance of the Cool Air Sams management and deal with the technicians, this company is excellent. It was the technicians, especially Russell and John, that literally changed our impression and saved our business with this company. Otherwise, we would have completely given up and used another service. The technicians, Russell and John were courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient as they dealt with our cooling problem. We had called American Comfort Solutions out of a courtesy to allow them to estimate the cost of repair for our a/c unit as they were the original installation company. We spoke to a gentleman named Rick who was the weekend on call person. He obligated himself to call us back the following morning which never occurred. When we called the company to find what was going on, Rick acted as if we had never had the conversation, and was unprepared with what he had said he would be ready to discuss the next morning. After a bit of an argument, he said he would have his supervisor call. The supervisor called and we explained what was going on and why. His response was why are you calling me, I just woke up? After another few minutes we went through the whole conversation again, and he eventually arranged for someone to come by and diagnose the problem. At this point was when we first met Russell and he completely changed our impression of the company.

The technician showed up quickly. He diagnosed the system and recommended I replace all the electrical parts. Said it would be close to $800. He started replacing the parts and I changed my mind because my wife is unemployed and I am on a reduced salary. He got mad and cut my wire leads and left. Turns out all I needed was a $40 capacitor.

I would highly recommend this company. Call and ask for John Bar. John fixed my heating and cooling system in my home and cooling system in my condo. My heater in my home stopped working in a very cold day on Saturday. John come in and fixed everything in the same day. He helped me to choose the best unit for the money. These guys are awesome. I called one night when my compressor stopped working. They were able to arrive within an hour to take a look. Unfortunately my unit was beyond repair due to age. The field tech that came out was very personable, professional, and honest about what my options were. We ended up replacing the outside unit. They were able to install the new unit very quickly to get us taken care of. They were ready to install the following day but I had to delay the install due to our availability. They installed the new unit in about an hour or so and did a great job. There was a small issue post install that we brought to their attention later that day. They came back out within one hour of the call and took care of the problem at no charge. Overall fantastic company to work with, highly recommend.

We have been so pleased with our service from Cool Air Sam, American Comfort Solutions. All the employees have been super helpful, but we have been especially happy with Mr. John Bar! He’s the best! He has been servicing our AC units for the last 3 years, when we had to replace all our outdoor units. One was a replacement and the other involved removing an old AC with duct work under the house and installing a complete system in the attic of a 100 year old house - essentially a new installation. Called American Comfort on Tuesday and Russel verified the problem with my A/C unit and the warranty contract. On Friday, Hector arrives with the parts and fixed everything. The unit is running nicely and me and my family can’t say enough great things about American Comfort Solutions. Great company. I will call them for future problems with my A/C or furnace, I plan to look into their maintenance program when I get my end of year bonus and I will refer them to my family and friends.

Russell arrived for my scheduled A/C check appointment on time, put his shoe covers on and started the service. After inspection of the outside unit and finding the compressor was pulling 17 plus amps instead of the 8 it was designed for, we discussed costs of replacing the compressor, outside unit and a new system since mine was 17 yrs old. He talked to me about the advantages of the Daikin Fit unit, how it worked and the savings we should see on our monthly bills. We discussed pricing differences of a single stage unit verses the Fit unit. He told me about off season pricing and cash pricing verses credit card etc. Russell called and secured a price and confirmed install for the following day. Russell is a very pleasant, respectful and took the time to answer all questions without making you feel like he is rushing or pressuring you to make a choice. After install, that was VERY painless and professional, he took time to explain how the thermostat worked and got my phone talking to it (after a phone call to Honeywell). Russell suggested metal ceiling vents to replace my plastic ones(gave me a size list and the type to buy) and that an additional return air vent should be cut in the living room. He returned the following morning to cut it in and show me the amps the unit was pulling while running.... 2.1. I am very satisfied with the install and great follow-ups by Russell and am looking forward to great electric bills and a comfortable cool home.Thanks to Russell and Cool Air Sam for a great and painless experience.

American Comfort Systems replaced my AC and heating system a year and a half ago. Our house was humid and impossible to keep at a comfortable temperature before they came. I contacted several AC companies and American Comfort Systems was the only company to actually run calculations inside the house. They recommended adding more return air and priced a top of the line unit with new duct work for the price other companies were offering lower quality units with no ducts. This unit not only controls the temperature, but it also controls the humidity and the whole house filter keeps the air clean. Weve lived hear twelve years and last summer was the first summer we were comfortable.

I felt the pricing was a little high under normal situations but I liked the technician and positive experience I had with the company so much I had no problem paying it. AC Technician Jefferson came out to resolve an issue with a blown fuse in the attic unit. He could have just replaced the fuse and left but he went the extra mile to meticulously find the cause of the problem. The outside low voltage trigger wires had missing insulation due to UV exposure, causing a short and blown fuse in the attic. Jefferson spliced new wiring and taped all wiring to prevent UV exposure. Then he packed the entire hose and wiring into the metal protective housing and secured it with more tape. I think its safe to say that any low voltage short problems have been thoroughly eliminated.

Sales rep tried to sell me the most expensive material/gear, came in almost 2x other quotes from similar companies, and then when she didn’t win bid and heard through the grapevine, she tried to trap me by calling and questioning if I had made a decision yet, to which I declined their services and she said “yeah well I already knew and you didn’t have the courtesy to call and tell me yourself” - she then hung up on me... I am very happy with my decision to not give them my business!

Jefferson came out and professionally addressed the issue with our AC unit. He advised us and gave us all of our options and answered all of our questions.
