A great mattress at a great price, made to order, delivered for free, hauled away my old mattress and box spring for free, and the delivery men even helped me set up the mattress on my new frame. I love supporting local businesses and love it even more when they’re great at what they do.

Great small business with wonderful products. They make their mattresses in their own warehouse. They are made to order and get delivered in about a week to your house. Free set up and hauling off your old mattress was included when we got a split king with adjustable frames.

I could not be more pleased with my shopping experience. After completing their online questionaire, which helped determine the mattress that would most likely be a best-fit for me, I set out to visit the store which, in my case, was the Katy location. Prior to my visit, I phoned the Katy store and spoke with sales person, and amazing guide, Neata, to ensure the chosen mattress was available. Upon arriving at the store and meeting Neata, she lead me to my ideal mattress and encouraged me to lay on it. Afterwards she had me try two other mattresses which were similar but with slightly different comfort & support styles while keeping within my target price range. Ultimately I did purchase the originally recommended mattress. I cant imagine a better shopping experience. I will surely recommend them to anyone looking for a new mattress.

We live in central Oklahoma, 7 hours away from Houston and we were recommended to Texas Mattress Makers from a friend. From our phone call, to our salesman insisting that we make a drive to see and be fitted for the right mattress. The trip was 14 hours round trip and well worth it!! During our whole experience our salesmanship main concern is that we were getting what we wanted and we would be pleased with our purchase. Never once was pushy! He treated us like we were long time friends. Our mattress was a custom 158 inches wide double king. All one mattress! We saved over 75% buying from Texas Mattress Makers vs retail stores. Where to begin... Firstly, I implore anyone in the market for a mattress to do their research on the industry as a whole. The major brands have made it very difficult to find quality made mattresses for reasonable prices. Its intentional, and almost criminal but I will leave it at that.My fiance and I walked into Texas Mattress Makers after being reccomended to them via themattressunderground.com. (This falls into the do your research category.) After the circus show sales attempt followed by weaponized finance we received at the other guys (You should know who). You can say we came in a little apprehensive. Upon walking into the building, we were greeted by JB. What an incredible experience. Before anything, he went through a thorough needs analysis. By providing only a couple of options and explaining their construction in detail, he was able to narrow down the options available to a small sample size of mattresses he believed would be the closest fits. Key word here is closest. A few reviewers here seem to be missing the best part of this company; customization.Now that we had a couple options that would work, the fun part began. We were able to select each individual layer of construction, to find the best fit for not only our backs, but our wallets. Yes, some of the mattresses are expensive. (While still being hundreds if not thousands cheaper than premium name brands so please take that how you will.) But some of the more expensive models had things we didnt need or want. We were able to pick the perfect combination of spring rate and latex foam combinations for a truly bespoke product, tailor made for my family. Essentially we took the top side of their best mattress and put it to the base of a more budget friendly option. Regardless, what works for us wont work for everyone. Thus the importance of being able to make it to your own specifications.From the service from JB, to the options and freedom of selection. I couldnt be happier with how we were treated.Side note, the other guys attempt to lock you into financing with them. Going as far as restricting line of credit to their company. Rediculous. JB was quick to on the phone with the bank, not only saving us money but our credit as well. We were able to not need a new credit check after lies and lies and lies that we couldnt use it elsewhere. Bank rolled the credit over and set us free from horrible business practices!Excellent company. We spend a lot of time on mattresses. Dont be told what should be comfortable. Tell them. At Texas Mattress Makers, you absolutely can.

My fiancé and I decided to try Texas Mattress Makers and decided to go to the Katy showroom on Black Friday. BEST DECISION EVER! The showroom is clean, the sales guy who helped us was very informative and listened to our feedback about each mattress and did not pressure us at all to buy anything that day. We were so impressed though that we did buy that day! We have had our mattress for a month now and I LOVE it! I have never slept so good. Worth every penny and such a great experience!

Personality clash with Vic. Told me everything I read about on website, to ignore. He did not even want to discuss it. Only test is to lay on bed. Neata, was not much better. She was more concerned with defending Vic, then helping me find a mattress. I also wanted the Rize comtempory III, but not one of the showrooms has one to tryout. Once bought, they are not returnable. Very expensive to by something, you cant try out,or return if it doesnt work. I was so excited to go there to purchase mattress and adjustable frame after all the research I had done . Needless to say I was extremely disappointed.

We loved the fact that the mattresses were made right here in Houston. Their lowest line mattress that cost less than $300 full size set felt as good as the $1700 set from a big name mattress stores nearby. We purchased a set 2 grades up from their budget model for about half of the special deal one of the sales persons was going to get for us at the name brand store nearby. We couldnt be happier with the entire experience.

I went to the Katy store. While specifically I want to state there werent any problems in the store, I was disappointed by my experience. It was clean, people were courteous but overall I didnt enjoy my experience, and here is why. . First, I thought that since they made mattresses here in Houston that the price points would be better than Rooms to Go. They were not. This store seems better suited to people who want to buy higher end, custom mattresses and want to spend over $1000. But the price wasnt the main issue.The whole experience was a little un-nerving. And I left shortly after I arrived. I am not a shy person, but I am an older woman and went mattress shopping alone. As I entered the store I immediately felt pounced upon by a salesman. I still had my hand on the door and it was immediately opened by a man who wanted to assist me. I felt as though I had walked into a car dealership. You now the kind, where the sales people are all standing around waiting for customers. As I looked around the empty showroom, it appeared I was the only customer, and the only female, amidst a pod of about 5-6 of all male salesman.I want to reiterate that everyone was polite. I have been a business woman and am not considered shy, but this whole experience was very awkward for me. My salesman was informative and courteous, as I explained that a $1000 (or more) mattress was way too expensive. Then we went to a little cheaper one (still expensive) and he suggested I lay down and try it out. It felt awkward being the only woman in a mostly empty showroom, but I tried to lay down. Thinking he was being helpful he wanted to adjust my pillow. But instead, I felt smothered by his attentiveness. I want to reiterate that everyone was courteous. But mattresses are an intimate product which require people to lay down and be at their most vulnerable. It might be helpful if your store incorporated a few more female sales people. ( As I was leaving I did see one woman take a seat at the front desk)

Very patient and informed mattress sales staff. There was never a push or rush, in fact we were instructed to take several minutes on each mattress we thought we liked. I truly believe we will be taken care of for as long as we own our new mattress.
