The staff all around is very polite and made my first car buying experience an easy task. They all worked together as a team to help get me squared away both over the phone and in person. There was a side view mirror cover missing on my vehicle and they promptly set me up to have it fixed at no extra cost to me. This car buying experience was very seamless and easy to navigate. I am thankful for all those who helped me at the store and over the phone. Highly recommend.

The whole process of selling the car and getting a new one was so easy. Ms. Robin was so sweet and helpful. The only thing is once you buy the car and your waiting to finalize everything the process slowed down and the wait was like a hour.

Recently sold a car to Carmax. Their online offer beat out their competitors and I liked that I had a local location I could bring the in the car to complete the deal. Everything ran very smoothly at the dealership and the staff there was great and efficient even for as busy as they were on a Saturday afternoon. It was awful the salesman or helpful being that he caused me to get stuck with a truck that was waking water down the storm. then even after i pod to get it transferred he still was awful. another employee by the name of Brittney helped me because i wanted and needed a car asap. she was great but what he did cost me a lot because he was nonchalant about getting it done.

At the other dealers, just wanted to give me bad deals... After a month of looking for the right car, CarMax had the perfect one at the right price. And theyre very easy to to work with.

The first time I went in purchase to car in the salesman was not good at all I ended up having to return the car due to whole bunch of issues however carmax did make it right by giving me a rental car not only while my car was in the shop but once I returned it while I looked for another car. Although my 1st salesman was a bad experience Morgan was amazing he helped me walked me through the process. I really didnt end up with a car that I love and could afford. While my entire experience was not the greatest if you ask for Morgan he will definitely take care of you.

Ordering the car and purchasing went fine. I am now having trouble with the starter on the car. Which I believe is covered under the 90 day 4,000 mile warranty. Have called multiple times and left messages. Have not received any word back, even called my salesman and left a message as well.Enjoying my car but would just like to be able to use the warranty CarMax offered. Part of the reason I went through them in the first place

Terrible people that will lie to get you in the door, the appraisal will drop from the interne appraisal, and the salespeople will lie about the documents you need to trade in a vehicle. All to get you involved process with them.

Put a hold on a car I desperately wanted and put that I was paying in cash on the form. Received no calls within a day like it said they would and then was informed it would be sold to someone financing it who wanted it after me!!!! I called the manager who would not do anything to help me but admit he was wrong. They couldn’t stomach to let the other potential buyer know I had the rights to it but had no problem taking it away from me!!! Worst experience of my life and I know all their gonna do is offer older cars with more mileage at a higher price. Give me my car!

The process of selling my car was amazingly easy. I was there til closing so I had to rush to get my items from my vehicle because they wanted to take the car to the back and lock it up in the yard. I was double checking the vehicle for any left items but forgot to double check the trunk because they were taking the license plates off at the same time that I rechecking. However, I left my purse in the trunk. I walked out the door with the employees so when I remembered it during the night I wasnt extra worried. I was there when they opened the next morning to retrieve the purse only to discover that it was missing. They had the car but no one turned in the purse. After investigating further they found the purse in the trash, all the money was gone, they took my checkbooks (3), and my Social security cards (mine and my two children). No one knows what happened, Im currently still waiting on the investigation results.

I would never buy from carMax. My wife went there to their office in Covington to trade in our 2018 Kia Sorrento with 53,000 miles to get a bigger vehicle. They had a 2016 Ford Explorer for 25,998. They offered my wife 1,784 above payoff on our Kia. They told her in order to get the vehicle she wanted she would have to trade in our Kia plus pay an additional 5,600 down and then our notes would be 634 for 72 months. It dont take a rocket scientist to figure out how much they was charging for that vehicle. I dont recommend no one to buy from carMax

Everything was absolutely wonderful the only thing is this is the second car I’ve gotten and it was not clean in the inside. I love the staff, love the delivery team but I thought the 1st time maybe it was a mistake but the second car was the same way.

We had an appointment. Upon arrival, we were told to wait in the waiting area. We waited for 45 minutes. When I asked where we were in line, they told us that we didnt need to wait and send us straight to the business office. We then had to wait almost another hour to finalize the transaction. The whole thing took two hours, which is way too long.

My experience was outstanding. Very organized, and I was assisted very quickly. Even arriving an hour late for my appointment, I was seated with a consultant in less than 15 minutes! The car I reserved was waiting for me. I was financed with 5 minutes or less. No paycheck stubs or W2 necessary. I was given a very generous trade in for my car. The longest wait was to sign my paperwork, and that was only 20 minutes. Everyone was professional, friendly, and the fastest process I have ever seen, and I have bought 7 cars by myself. Never would I return to a dealership.

Bought my car in April 2021 2 months out the steering modular goes out and other things need to be done. Brought my car to the Mercedes dealer as directed now they have had my car for almost a month. The car is done waiting on payment from Carmax. CarMax calls me to tell me my car done but I can’t pick it up. Never again or nor recommending.

The purchase experience was great. Nice car and No haggling. The delivery process was definitely not OK. The car had a flat tire at purchase and I had to wait one whole day after paying for the car to get the vehicle. Even then, the service shop did not deliver as promised and I had to make yet another trip that evening to pick up the car with its spare tire. The Kenner, LA, Car Max service shop claimed they could not get the tire even after one whole day. On my way home, I stopped at the local Firestone and they replaced the tire in 20 minutes. The car, by the way, is a Toyota Corolla and tires are available everywhere. Finally, after yet another trip, I got a reimbursement for the replaced tire, in cash, from Car Max. Rating for sales agent, five stars. Rating for service shop, zero stars.

Last night I went into Carmax to finalize the sale of my Fiat to the dealership. I had a quick and easy appraisal experience with Morgan, however, when it came time to go back and sell the Fiat less than a week later, I was very disappointed. I was told that I did not need an appointment to sell the car and to walk straight to the business office. Once I did, I was asked to wait up to 2 hours, maybe more, to be assisted. During the THREE hour wait, I witnessed several other disgruntled customers. After the three hour mark, I got up to ask how much longer my wait would be (this was at 10PM), the ladies in the business office provided very little information as to what was taking so long and told me it would still be a little bit of a wait. When it came time to assist, two of the ladies behind the business office came out into the waiting area, with no regard for my privacy, and told me there was an issue with going forward with the sale and I would not be assisted on this day. At this point it was a little after 10PM and I was astonished that I was asked to wait over 2 hours into the late hours of night to be told nothing could be done for me at this time. One of the ladies was very condescending in her approach and completely turned me off to working with anyone else in that office.I really hope that I can speak with someone in management to solve this issue. I would like to point out that Morgan was a delight to work with and has been professional in handling this matter.

Ive sold cars to other CarMax locations, and had good experiences. But the Kenner CarMax Business Office really soured me. After my car was driven and appraised, we agreed on a price. At that point I was escorted to the Business Office where I gave them my keys, title and registration and was told to have a seat for a moment. 30 mins later I return to the window and inquire if I missed hearing my name called. A lady towards the back yelled No we havent called you yet. We have a process where the car needs appraised first. At this point, Im thinking something sketchy is going on ... the car has already been appraised, and they have all my documentation so I cant just get up and leave. Im basically a hostage there and the Business Office cant even tell me how much longer itll be or why they are re-appraising my car (are they going to try to change the deal I already agreed to??). Over an hour after being told itll be a moment, I get my check. Kenner CarMax Business Office made what was a good experience stressful and irritating with slow service and poor communication.

They sell over priced cars and have some sales staff that have the personality of a plane crash . NOTHING about this place is quick and easy.

When I first arrived I worked with Robin Cabe at the Metairie location in Louisiana, she was great to work with and answered all of my questions. She made the entire process go seamless for everything that she was involved with.When it came time to sell the car it took about 4 hours. I had the title with me and the documents stating there was no lean on the car but I still needed to register the car again before we could finish the sale. Then I had to move the car to three different parking spaces for no apparent reason. The last phase of the sales process should be more streamlined.

Had a flat tire, went to Carmax who informed me the tire could not be repaired due to them not having the right tools. I was sent to another dealership who reported that Carmax should have handled the problem, not to mention I have a warranty. I returned to Carmax only for them to attempt to send me somewhere else all while Im driving on a flat tire! This was completely unacceptable, I will not purchase another vehicle with this company! They love to sell cars but give you the run around to repair, then its under their warranty! 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

The car salesman was very polite and friendly. I found a car on the lot that I liked, but I was told a sale on the car was pending. I was disappointed but willing to continue my search. We looked online and found a car in Bakersfield that was just what I wanted. So he order it and in a week it was going to be delivered. I was excited. Then after a week, I called him to check on the status of my car, and he said that due to bad weather the transport truck would be delayed. After a few days, the salesman called to say that my car never got on the truck because they didn’t have a title. He then informed me that the original car I wanted was now available, the one that supposedly was sold. I went back to Carmax, in which the salesman was 45 minutes late for our appointment and after about 4 hours bought the car. I felt deceived by the whole process. I liked the value of the trade in and my car’s price but did not like how I was treated. My husband and I had to wait too long for each step of the overall buying process. The Carmax in Kenner needs a housecleaning for sure. Wake up CEO!

Purchased a 2018 Mercedes Benz SUV. Had the car for 10 days, sunroof and door had major leaks and was pouring water into the car with 3 days of heavy rain. Returned the vehicle within the 30 day return policy. Waited at carmax for 2 1/2 hours to return the vehicle, business office representative KIM unprofessional and ill mannered. Didnt listen to any thing I needed assistance with just kept sending me back to my seat, when it was finally my turn she was unable to assist me fully. Terrible experience and will never recommend or purchase there again!!

Set my appt for 5:30pm...prompt service to do their no contact appraisal. Appreciate the Covid protocol being practiced at CarMax. The only reason I’m not giving a 5-star review is because I waited until almost 7:30 to complete the process. That was a bit much for an inexpensive used vehicle sale. CarMax - Kenner made my first car shopping experience (on my own without my parents) amazing. The experience was easy and actually fun. My sales person Adrian was polite and understood my needs. This is just my experience but my experience with CarMax has been horrible, from the moment I first got the car it had problems and now I can’t use the car at all and I’ve explained to them that I’m trying my best to keep with the payments and keep the car fixed and running but it’s like they don’t even want to work with me with the payments, let’s just say I’ll never get another car from CarMax .

I purchased a car about 6wks ago. The buying experience was different. I had to wait almost 2 wks once my arrived to the store. I was told they were inspecting it. But yet there were several deficits I was not told about.. I notice there was a snag/ rip on the driver door amongst other things with the car the second week. I had it. After weeks on waiting for a service appointment. Im being told the snag/rip in the leather meets carmax standards. Im beyond angry. The manager is telling me there is nothing he can do. I informed him I should have been informed before I purchased the car or told when I first called that they couldnt fix it. Then I would have returned it for another model. I had such high regards for this company. Who wants to drive a luxury vehicle with a rip in the leather. Im beyond angry over this experience.

I had a rough time finding the vehicle right for me. Chardonnay at the Baton Rouge store was awesome and her manager was equally great through the process of me trying 3 different cars. Hugo at the New Orleans store was amazing! He helped me and went above and beyond to get me into the car for me. A Ford Excape. Buick’s were not meant for me! Lol
