I was 5 minutes late to my appointment and I was treated very unfairly. This is the first and last time I go to this office. First, when I scheduled my appointment over the phone, they couldnt even find my insurance. Once they did after awhile, they scheduled it. Today upon arrival, they couldnt find my insurance, again. I gave them the information and they took for ever to find it. Then they tell me that given the time I had to re-schedule. I was late within the given time frame, but the lady took forever to input the information and was very rude while doing it. What happened with treating those that increase your revenue, with more respect? Talk about poor customer service in this office!

It’s amazing how customer service and customer protection is low on the totem pole now a days. I had a unexplainable experience with a certain Dr who travels to each location, here. I needed an eye exam for my profession as I receive every 4 years. I travel around the country for my profession but was trying to establish an eye Dr here since I just moved to town. I went to the Kenner location and had my exam done, the Dr suggested I should get glasses but it was to assist a very small change. Now I have been told this before so I purchased glasses before and keep them on standby but it’s not a necessity or mandatory to wear. I asked for my paperwork as I have never walked out with out my paperwork. And was told it won’t be ready today but what glasses I wanted. I proceeded to tell them I have some glasses already but it may be nice to get some cute frames although I’ll buy another time, since I don’t need them. But can i have my paperwork. Not today. It would be ready tomorrow I was told. So I was like ok but this is odd. He said he would have it the next day. I went back the next day and when I walked in the ladies working there were looking strange and whispering. I asked for my paperwork and it was a big deal on it wasn’t ready and this and that. And I needed to purchases glasses etc. So I asked to speak with the Dr. He came out after an hour or two then started by saying, “I told the girls you was not going to like what I put on your paper, since I don’t understand your profession.” By now the entire staff is watching and waiting now. So me having this eye exam done for years, know how the procedure goes, and does understand my eyes and profession. I began to explain to him, his personal feelings or what i liked was not the fact of my eye status and this was my life and I did not appreciate it being played with, taken for a joke or lightly. Your opinion on me wearing glasses and trying to bully me into purchasing glasses is not mandatory or a necessity so I will not accept this paper. He than was like, he would change it but will not fill out a new paper and if they call and ask he would explain. I was livid and had to come to an agreement with him to fill out a new paper. Brought a new paper and it took another few days to fill it out. When I came back on the day he was supposed to have it ready, he wasn’t there. But at another location. I had to go to another location and bring the paper he held on for days and have him fill it out. Which he sent someone else to do. This was extremely unprofessional and time consuming coming from a Dr., which is human but is held in high standards. I have known of one of the other Drs that joined this chain of franchises and he is a very prestigious Dr. Its very sad and disappointing the way they handled this. And I did summarize this as more took place. Just disappointing. Let me add the staff was operating as if you aren’t there, they don’t greet you, ask you if you have an appt and dare you not ask a question while they are discussing nothing loudly in the place.

Dont bother with their promise date. Waited more than two weeks and they still have no idea when my order is coming in.

They have recently changed staff up front and changed company ownership in some way. The Doctor wouldnt listen to my input on my concerns and kept talking over me. He seemed excessively rushed. The prior staff was friendly and helpful. The new staff acted like I was inconveniencing them. They never did get my glasses correct and after a month I just stopped trying with them. It was a very bad experience.

I had an excellent experience at this St. Charles Vision in Kenner. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. But it was rather pricey even after insurance.

Had the worst experience trying to get a new pair of glasses. The staff was friendly and helpful, but I was unable to get my new glasses because of constant errors from their vendors. 6 weeks later I had to cancel my order and start the process all over with a different eye care facility. I will not be going to St. Charles vision in the future, such a waste of time.

Dr McGuiness thinks he is Gods gift to the world. He thinks its okay to charge an insane amount of money for a contact lens fitting. If you believe that Dr McGuiness is that much better than everyone else - have at it. If you want to minimize your out-of-pocket expense, stay far away.

St. Charles Vision Chateau staff are professional, caring and go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. The staff always use my name and provide a warm greeting when I enter the store. They feel like family; the way patients should be treated by health care providers. When on an extended work assignment out of town, I was in desperate need of a fresh set of contacts and was unable to pick up my order. Donna at Chateau overnighted the order.Dr. McGuiness remembers small details about my vision and what we decided about my care over the previous years. I trust his assessments and recommendations.I work for a health care system and could pay significantly less if I used in-network eyecare providers. It is not even a consideration. I wouldnt go anywhere else!
