If you’re getting your oil changed or a simple service, they might be able to do it. But transmission replacement. Go somewhere else. First off took them 7 business days for a job they promised in 2. They broke a piece and expected me to pay for it. After refusing to pay for it they then agreed to cover it. Finally got it back and it was leaking quite a bit. Owner assured me it was nothing his guys did. Said these things just happen. But for $551 he could seal it and tell me why it was leaking. I declined and took it to another transmission shop. They discovered that AAMCO didn’t put the seal in between the transfer case and transmission. Instead they used a silicon sealant. I called to report my findings and he did offer to fix it for free. But he should have done that in the beginning when I brought the issue up to him. On top of the seal not being done. They forgot two bolts in the bell housing, one other bolt was loose. And to top it off, they put transmission fluid in my differential instead of OE required 4 wheel drive fluid. They lack professionalism and cleanliness. My vehicle was covered in grease from all their hands. Not to mention the interior of my vehicle covered in oil and grease from dirty hands. (Nothing better than grabbing a steering wheel full of grease). Take your vehicle somewhere else when you need a new transmission. The other services they offer I can’t comment on.

This shop is extremely honest and have fair prices. I came here on the recommendation of a friend and found out that I was about to have been charged for new brakes (at a different shop) however, AAMCO discovered that I didn’t need new brakes at all. Luckily, I didn’t pay for work I didn’t truly need done to my car, thanks to their honesty. I did need my transmission fluid changed though and I did have them perform that work. I’m more than happy with their service.

I just had my transmission replaced in my ford fusion with AAMCO this week, they were super quick to get me in since it was my only car. The mechanics knew exactly what was wrong when the previous shop did not. Very professional and helpful, would highly recommend!

While on a trip our truck broke down outside of the Tri-Cities area. I called around to several mechanics shops but non of them could get us in for 3 weeks. Finally, I ended up calling the AAMCO shop in Kennewick Washington, and they were kind enough to get us in that day and even offered to stay open late if necessary to help get us back on the road again. Once our truck arrived at their shop they put four guys to work on it and ended up working past their closing time, ultimately they got the truck fixed and we were headed on our way again the same day.The customer service we received from the folks at AAMCO and the quality of work done by their team was outstanding, I am so very grateful for their sacrifice and hard work. All the staff there are extremely helpful, and always give great hospitality. My car had some minor issues. They fixed it, and even went back and did a free check up a couple weeks later when my Jeep had another issue, and even gave me some tips on how to take care of my Jeep. Since I own a Jeep, I know Ill be back in the shop at some point, so these folks will be my #1 from now on.

Took my car is to get serviced and they come back with a list of problems for it. Yet when i got second and third opinions from other mechanics, my car was fine. They tried to get into my pockets for serveral thousand dollars. And one of the mechanicsthere admitted to me that none of them certified to be doing that kinda work. I would not recommend using them at all.

If I could give it a zero I would. They missed so many issues and transmission leaks. Opened our engine up without asking and never fixed our van. After 5 months still no fix. NEVER go to them they will rip you off of money and integrity.

Disappointed in this company. Ladies it’s important you know about your car especially something like a transmission. These guys tried telling me my transmission was going out ANY DAY NOW as if it were urgent came and showed me metal shavings in my oil then insisted they return the oil back into the transmission but first strained it from any metal debris then broke my valve gasket which caused an oil leak. The front desk girl Suggested I by one from them a used one at the price $3200. They lied and betrayed my trust in them. The lady up front was very friendly the first visit the next visit she wasn’t so nice and seemed irritated and upset I had caught on to her scandalous tactics she tried to use against me by showing me the oil in a bucket with metal shavings that had a foul smell to it plus returned the oil back into my vehicle urgently advised me I get a new transmission. I got a second look at it and this new company was honest and found no findings of the transmission going out. They were shocked that AAMCO even put the old used oil back into transmission.AAMCO also removed my hood cover that protects the bottom of my car and did not put it back on proporly instead they left it hanging and dragging. My overall experience was disappointing and I felt very disrespected and mistreated. I should’ve never been treated the way they treated me. I am a woman and I do deserve to be treated equally it’s fair you tried to use me by damaging my vehicle in order to make a buck. Scandalous conniving company. My car is running A1 with no transmission problems. I’m still wondering where those metal shavings came from especially since my car has a magnet that collects debris like metal shavings? AAMCO you need to do better.

I would not reccomend this place to my worst enemy! I had the absolute worst experience with this company. Thank god I have family that knows a little about cars and services. They 100% overcharge here and will tell you your car needs services that it doesnt need to get every penny out of you that you can. Then to find out their mechanics are 100% not certified they get by hiring people with no certifications. I wouldnt trust this place with my kids bicycle let alone a vehicle.

Hmmmmm havnt been there thus the 3 star, but i finde it hard to believe no one in the shop is certified since aamco certifies its mechanics threw its own training courses that usually come with pay increases to encourage taking the training courses when i worked for aamco it was required to take the courses for your job title.. transmissions are kinda specialised soooo dont really see your point as far as say a general automotive certificate goes.. most transmission builders i know are in house trained from a shop that trained them.. theres some online knowledge based orginizations that keep builders up to date on updates and parts interchangability. But all in all i dont actually see the point of the guy posting about certification im certified to build aircraft engine because its legally required but i figure the man who had been building transmissions for 40 years was plenty qualified to train me so gotta say whatever dude on your whole certification thing and guess what after i got certified to build aircraft engines i was actually trained to do the job in house at my first job rebuilding aircraft engines..

They treat you like family and will let you see the work they are doing as well as educate so you to have more knowledge.

For your sake, pay attention to the 1-star reviews and how recently they were posted. I made the mistake of not doing this. They had my jeep for an entire month with no work done to it, despite the fact that they had already told me that they started the process two weeks ago. The first time I called, they said they had put two customers before us because the customers were upset. The next few times I called, they said they had just received the parts and that they were getting started on it right away. Then they said they were waiting on a lift. Two weeks ago, they finally said that they had started working on my vehicle. When I called once more to get an update, the person in the office had no information on my vehicle. He promised to get us information the next morning but he never called us back. I decided to go in and figure out what was going on. When I went in, they told me that they were waiting on the parts. This made no sense because they had already told me they received them two weeks ago and had started the work, as I mentioned before. I plan on taking my vehicle elsewhere.Do your research and read reviews before you take your vehicle in. Dont just focus on their overall review score.

Their service was prompt and professional. I had my car to another shop previously oh, and they did not fix the issue at all. They had my car for two days, and my window ended up getting smashed out the first night it was there. So I was hesitant to go to another shop, but I just couldnt diagnose it myself. I went to Aamco they had it diagnosed within an hour of me dropping the car off, and they had it repaired by noon that day. Very professional, and very good work. Not to mention the pricing was fair. Will definitely be going there in the future.

This place easily deserves a five star review. If I could give more I would. The service and everything was absolutely exceptional. I was here visiting with my mother when my transmission went out in my 2006 Ford F-150 and they were able to get my truck in the shop diagnosed and a new transmission put in in two days to get me back on the road so I can go home. I appreciate all of your guys hard work ! Keep it up! I would highly recommend this place to anybody!

There were great. Did a comprehensive diagnosis, and were able to get us in right away. And they not only handled the transmission problem. There was another issue with the car being drivable and some repairs were scheduled to be done at another shop for those issues and AAMCO were able to fix that issue as well. Not only saving time but $$ without compromising quality of work. They do a great job, extremely professional and very nice and respectful. Whatever work the vechile needs in the future, if its a job they do thats where well be going and Ill be referring people to.

Larry and Tom could not have been more knowledgeable, honest, friendly and most important efficient. I came in needing an oil leak diagnosed. I had been told it was the main rear seal by another auto repair facility, so I wanted a second opinion. Turns out that wasnt true. I didnt and the leak was not coming from the rear main seal. They spent time tracking down the leak and changing my oil and filter. I am so glad I went to them and will definitely go back. Thanks again Larry and Tom. Much appreciated.

AAMCO in Waldorf, MD provides quality service. Their service manager was easy to deal with and limited proposed brake job to new pads, which was all that was needed. They have also performed transmission fluid change on 3 of my cars. I trust their recommended service.

The guys in Taylorsville, UT are honest, and very friendly. They dont talk down to me as they explain services and options, and they get the job done quickly. I sent my husband there to get his car fixed and although theyd never met him, they immediately remembered me after seeing his last name. The last time I took my car in for a tune up, they let me know that there was nothing wrong. They could have easily charged me for something small and I never would have known the difference, but honesty is important there. Ill be back!

I usually do my own car work so I tend to judge auto shops pretty harshly. I did not want to work on my own transmission so I brought my truck to AAMCO of Garner. They were professional and knowledgable. They met all their deadlines and Im happy with the work. I recommend this shop to anyone.

I came in today to get my brake light fixed. The service was impeccable. I like them so much Im returning to them to get my next oil change.

I hate dealing with car maintenance because I know that - as a female - Ill probably be treated like a dimwit and taken advantage of. I hate the fact that I dont know mechanics, and pretty much meet these expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by my interactions with John at AAMCO on Van Buren when dropping my car off for an oil change, because he didnt fit the typical mold. He seemed nice and more interested in helping me than getting my credit card number. When I picked my car up later in the day, my suspicions were confirmed: I was treated like a customer theyd like to have return, instead of a paycheck to increase any way possible. John didnt tell me of any problems under the hood, or expensive items they thought were necessary or even worth considering - he said everything went well, and handed me the keys. When I asked a few follow up (nothing else was wrong? really?) he mentioned the 2 areas I could get looked at if interested in maintaining my vehicle at top performance, but reassured me that it wasnt critical and could be taken care of at a later date. Im so unfamiliar with this kind of treatment - i.e., not being screwed - that I was kind of in shock. This place was fantastic and Im definitely using them for the long haul.

Awsome stand up guys! Im from out of state and smoked my transmission on our tahoe. Had it towed there Sunday night. They called me first thing Monday morning had it diagnosed by 11. Told me I needed a new transmission unfortunately I could not afford the one that they wanted to sell me. But I had the truck towed out of there and went in to pay. They told me I owed them nothing and that they were just glad to help. Any other shop would have charged me the 3 hours they spent diagnosing my truck. Thanks again guys for all your help!
