Jared is a really great owner. I was able to bounce ideas off of him and felt like a welcomed guest. No pressure sales and conversed with me for an hour about how he got into the hobby. Love the store and will frequent it for paint lessons soon.
When Ive gone into Games workshop stores elsewhere the staff are usually pleasant and inquisitive. The staff member at this store was neither of those, and stared at me like he wanted nothing more than to watch me spontaneously combust in front of him. What an unpleasant individual. I will not be returning.
Three times Ive visited this store, three strikes against it. The manager is the most unwelcoming human being I have ever met. This last time he was literally just standing in the doorway looking at his phone. I wanted to go into the store and said, Whats up?What do you want? He says, in a challenging tone.Uh... can I go in?Yeah. What do you want?Im actually going to file a complaint to GW. Theyre probably losing money due to this dude.
I have been to this store many times. Each time I approach it with a positive attitude - this time will be different. However, I have yet to have a good experience here. The manager is the most unwelcoming person I have ever met. I always make it a point to buy something when I go - it is a hobby store so I can alway get paints or glue. The manager comes across annoyed that I am there. Lots of short answers and way too much huffing and sighing.I brought my son in who was thinking about starting 40K - the manager did not help him or seem interested that my son was looking to get into this great hobby. This store is not a place of welcome for new comers or anyone not in the managers inner circle.I now only make the longer drive out to the Tacoma or Puyallup stores where they welcome me, answer my questions and are excited to see me in their store.
When my local store barely has stock, and the official store being almost fully stocked is sus, but worth a drive as great staff & very helpful
A friend really wanted to check this place out, and I went with.We were greeted by tables blocking off the entrance area, which meant that we could just step inside, the one employee there said hed bring over whatever we asked, and we were told to please not touch anything more than necessary. All of this hadnt been explained beforehand, on the phone, so that was an unfun surprise. (Covid protections. We went in about 3 weeks ago. I forgot to review until Google just reminded me.)The guy there seemed annoyed to have customers enter the shop, and sighed heavily as he brought out what my friend asked to see, saying to please be careful with it. He was nicer when my friend bought stuff, though.I guess that people looking around and not buying is common, which was why the guy seemed annoyed. I get that—especially during the pandemic. But Id gone in with my friend, because Id wanted to browse. Being unable to browse, not warned about that beforehand despite calling, and treated like an annoyance while there, was bothersome. So, the location sells interesting stuff, but going in there felt pretty meh to me.
Wasint even allowed to look at the books or the modle sets. You cant go in past the front doors, no worries. Ill just got to my local game shop where I can fully peruse the entire shop and figure out what I want.
Store does not keep to a schedule. Unreliability goes against GW’s usual consistent service. Sadly cannot recommend.
Dude works when he feels like it and doesnt update store hours . I cant count on both hands the times i drove down here for him to have some note on the door and be gone for an hour . I just checked online to see covid hours on google and GW and it said open . Drove down and found closed for 9 days on vacation on the door . Unreal get an adult to work here please.
Employee/Manager was very rude on two of my visits, and was condescending to multiple customers. Living embodiment of the negative stereotypes of a pseudo-intellectual purveyor of sci-fi hobbies. Otherwise it was a great shop with great: selection, and setup.
Pretty typical Games Workshop set up, nothing extraordinary. Jared (I think his name is) is pretty rude and uncommunicative the several times I went in there and called. If possible, just go to the Tacoma GW, Steve makes that place 100x better.
The guy who helped me was friendly, knowledgeable and honest about what I needed to get started painting miniatures. He was even willing to give pointers if it didnt turn out how I wanted. A great experience all around.
A friend of mine loves this place, but both times Ive tried to visit this spot, it has been closed. The first time, all of the lights were off at 6:30, with the sign on the door stating they close at 7.The second time, there was a brb sign in the middle of the day. This is far from professional and I wont bother trying a third time, even if I have to go miles out of my way.
Jared the manager is such a great guy! Never shopped at game works but I worked next door to them and always had great conversations with the store manager!
Great, clean location. Super knowledgeable and very willing to teach painting/gluing techniques.
Great selection, prices in line with expectations, and super chill owner. This is my go-to GW location. Ill be coming back as long as its around.
Great shop! Nice and helpful staff.
Manager Jared is a cool guy and will play games when time allows, but you better have all your codecies, as unlike other stores, this store is unwilling to lend a store copy should you forget yours. Also needs to build better suppt system for new gamers. But employee is very nice and gives suggestions for units that fit well when building an army.
I come here a lot for all of my Warhammer needs. Jared runs a good shop and is very knowledgeable about the product and history, nice guy and doesnt talk you into buying stuff you dont need.People that come to this store are a bit shy but friendly when striking up a conversation with someone about the hobby is easy.
I wish it was more than just a store. I want to go there and chill, listen to music or audio books and drink beer and eat food and game
Wanted to go in today but the manager inside had no mask on. Looks very professional.
I ts the best place to find world of Warcraft craft stuff
Great place to throw down some dice, Learn about the hobby and what GW has to offer. Great Community of players.
Great service, the guy really helped me even when Im a noob.
I reall6 like this GW locatuon, its on my way home and the owner is super knowledgeable and helpful.
First GW store I have been to. Somewhat small but not cramped. Friendly and helpful staff. Other people were friendly as well. I would recommend this place.
Clean store, friendly staff, and a good mix of product and display.
Wasnt very talkitive.
Awful customer service, very rude.
Its games workshop. If you are looking for a place to get Warhammer stuff, this is it. If thats not what youre looking for, this aint it.
New to 40k and they were very helpful
Friendly staff, made sure I got the best deal.
Awesome service, great selection.
The sales person is a silver tongued wizard, but he never tries to sell me things I wouldnt want or need, and is chill to just discuss the hobby.
Is NOT closed down as another reviewer says. It has moved near the Jamba Juice. Its a nice GWS, a little small and the customer service isnt as great as I remember other stores.
Fun little place to go
Picked up The silver tower here a month ago. The store was very well laid out and the amount of minatures they had was wonderful. The man working there was very friendly and even opened up the stores personal Silver Tower game for me to see the unpainted but already assebled minatures. He went over the rules and explained it in pretty great detail. Im sure if i had asked he would of even played a small game with me to help me get the hang of it. Great job guys keep it up.
Excellent customer service, the guy running the shop is awesome.
Awesome games and old consoles
Store is far too small, but Jared the manager is great
This is located in Kent station, but not visible from Ramsey Way. Unlike a lot of Games Worshop stores they dont hound you when you walk in.
The staff is friendly and they had in a product no one else did, even online, except for eBay which was almost 3 times more than the stores price.
