Excellent service! Greeted immediately, Robert was friendly and extremely knowledgeable of their mattresses. No pressure to spend more for higher-priced models, but did explain differences between them as far as materials and warranties. Also, fast delivery (we bought on Saturday, delivery the following Wednesday). Highly recommend!

Both my wife and myself have lower back issues and our current mattress, even though it looks great, it has gotten too mussy and not supportive. We met Michael at the Jonathan Stevens store in Kentwood and he was very thorough about asking key questions about our health. With such a variety of mattresses the search for the right one could have been daunting, but he made it quite easy. I like the return policy they have because lets face it, until youve had a chance to sleep on something several times you really dont know what youre getting.Michael was great in listening, asking the right questions and closing the deal. Now its up to the mattress to perform. I have this feeling that we wont be disappointed.I highly recommend this location.

We recently stopped in the store to get a mattress. We were immediately greeted by the sales associate Rob. Want to start this review by giving Rob a huge shout-out. He is super friendly and really knows his stuff. He helped us to determine what kind of mattress would be best for us and showed us different mattresses in different price ranges. We felt totally comfortable and confident with his help. We will be customers for life. To be honest we were kind of dreading buying a mattress because we thought we would have to deal with a pushy salesperson. Not only was he not pushy, we actually had fun in there picking out the mattress. They have lots to chose from and their mattresses seemed to be all very high quality. Rob is just the best. Cant say enough great things about him. So excited about our new mattress.

So. Im a mom of three little ones who needed one day to nap, hang with another mom friend, grab a decent lunch that didnt consist of chicken nugs, and get out of the house. After spending an insane amount of money to get a sprawling olive garden lunch, my pal and I didnt feel like waiting to drive the 40 mins to get down on some breadsticks. We crossed the traffic of 28th street to park and gorge, which just happened to be outside the Jonathan Stevens store. We listened to music in my decadent 2011 Toyota mini van, thoroughly enjoying the adult conversation and excellent people watching offerings of Kentwood. It was time to take my swagger wagon back to home base and the battery decided it would be a putz. Robert of the mattresses came to the rescue. A true knight, gallant and chivalrous, Robert went to THREE stores trying to locate jumper cables. Feeling despair, he returned with the bad news and we tried to locate anyone to help. With no end in sight and the, Im sure, very busy Kentwoodians unable to see if these two poor damsels needed assistance, Robert discovered the OTHER EMPLOYEE had jumper cables to save us (despite being the first person we asked). HUZZAH! We were free! Without the tenacity of this Robert guy, we probably would have had to actually go locate jumper cables from the scary gas station down the block. With that kind of care and attention, I can imagine that Robert will not rest until youve found the mattress you were destined to cuddle... thank you, Robert!

Jonathan Stevens has been excellent to me and my family. 10 years ago, my hubby and I purchased a quality mattress from them. We had a top-notch customer service experience then. That mattress has served us so well, and has only recently begun to show signs of wear. Time to go back and find its successor! I stopped in casually this afternoon just to take a look. Rob was super helpful, no pressure to make a purchase - but when he then found me an incredible deal, that’s exactly what I did. Now I’m looking forward to at least 10 more years on our new, plush, locally-made, high quality mattress. Incredible staff!! My friend and I had a dead battery and needed a jump start. I walked into this store to see if anyone had jumper cables and could help us. My husband and I were in need of a new mattress. We have owned our Casper for several years, and my back was hurting every morning from it. I googled highest rated mattress places and Johnathan Stevens was the first one that showed up!Robert was so knowledgeable, and even excited to tell us about the company and the mattresses they have. First off, I had no clue that Johnathan Stevens is local to Grand Rapids, and all of their mattresses are all made in America with American made products. They also have a 15-yr warranty, which is awesome! Second I learned that local hotels like the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and J.W. Marriott, only use Johnathan Stevens mattresses!Robert listened to our needs and wants, and guided us to a variety of beds to try. We found the perfect one, that we are both really excited to sleep on! He was also very knowledgeable about the pillows they had, and we even bought two of those as well. Robert was so friendly, and not pushy at all. We never felt pressured into buying anything. We just felt heard, and understood; and he really went above and beyond. Because they are a Grand Rapids company, and everything they sell is made in America, and because of Robert, this is the only place well be shopping for mattresses from now on. Got a queen mattress from this location. Beds comfy and they delivered it quickly. Robert was the sales rep who helped me in-store and he was extremely helpful. Couldnt have been more knowledgeable about the mattress universe, and was really easygoing. I went to numerous bed stores around GR looking for a new mattress, and no one came close to being as helpful as Robert was while there. I recently bought a mattress and adjustable frame from Ron A. At the Kentwood store.Ron arranged the delivery to time perfectly with my schedule. The mattress had a small hole in the side. No questions asked Ron arranged for a new mattress to arrive two days later. My back problems have already shown improvement.I highly recommend for quality and service

Ron, the salesman, was very kind, knowledgeable and did not pressure us. He even showed us all different price ranges without us asking. He didnt make us feel bad if we really did not want to spend too much. I highly recommend him.

Let me start by saying we love the new mattress, and the staff was all very friendly and helpful. Id honestly give them 5 stars if they hadnt screwed me over on the old mattress. I was told twice during our sale that our old mattress would be removed and disposed of. Nobody ever mentioned the asterisk on that. The old one cant have ANY kind of stain, or they wont take it. This was found out after ours was dropped off in the paperwork but never told to us in person. Now ive got a disposal fee and a ticked off landlord I wasnt counting on.

We bought a mattress only a year ago to replace one that was starting to sag. Needless to say, we have moved our old mattress back into our bedroom and have sent the Jonathan Stephens to the guest room. Whatever you do, DO NOT purchase the mattress cover. It does not fit firmly to the mattress causing the sheet to slip and the pad to wrinkle under your body. Very uncomfortable. Also it does tend to not breath, contrary to their claims, and in warm weather can retain heat. This is my first unsolicited review and my first negative one but I have appreciated gaining perspective for others who write these reviews. I have been sleeping in the spare room for the week to avoid getting the flu from my husband and was once again reminded of how much money we wasted on this mattress and the cover.

We purchased three Jonathan Stevens gel foam mattresses, 1 Queen Serenade that went in our 5th wheel trailer and 2 twin x-long Harmony for the bedroom in the house. These were purchased Sept. 2013 and never used the one in the trailer until June of this year. Had we known what we know now we would have kept the old mattress in the 5th wheel. Mattress is very hot and have to run the air conditioning and no covers to be some what comfortable, and it seems like the foam in the ones in the bedroom is starting to break down after not even a year. Contacted the store and the one salesperson acted like he could have cared less. Basically you bought it, too bad! E-mailed company no response! I dont know why they have warranties on them, they dont honor it.
