I have been going here for years with great service, but now I have been waiting 5 weeks for my glasses. I try to call and no answer. Have left numerous messages. No response. You cannot stop at building because doors are locked at all times. If I knew this I would go elsewhere. I need to see.. not have headaches daily. Poor service. All it takes is communication.Update- two weeks later someone answered the phone! She was very nice! Obviously new as she was very friendly. I now have my glasses. Almost 2 months later. Thank you

I just picked up my glasses after waiting almost 5 weeks for them. I went in to be fitted and make sure they were accurate. I was handed my glasses in a bag and told that they only do appointments. No other customers were in the store. It would have taken less than 5 minutes. I wore a mask, did my distance of 6 feet. I think this business is using this opportunity to be lazy and rude to their customers. I will spend my $600 on glasses elsewhere

I had the best experience picking out glasses for my kids. Victoria went above and beyond making sure my kids felt comfortable in there glasses, not to mention she has amazing customer service skills. I couldn’t be more pleased with our visit. Definitely coming back!

Took almost 7 weeks to get single-lens glasses. Never got promised calls back for an update. Was told the order was a pain in their butt, when they finally arrived. Glasses dont fit well after the fitting appointment. Worst glass buying experience in 30+ years of buying glasses. Wont be going back.

Recently went to Pearle Vision to get my daughter her glasses. Victoria helped her pick out 2 really cute frames. She had spectacular customer service. Something I havent seen in a long time. Im originally from Grand Rapids but moved to Nashville after college. I had a very important pair of frames I wanted fit to my prescription. I wasnt in Grand Rapids long and missed the pick up day before heading home for the sunglasses I also ordered and Victoria shipped them to me in Nashville. Super happy with the end product. They really worked hard to make sure I was happy with my glasses.

Dr. Joel is an excellent eye doctor. He listens to your questions and answers them, including showing things that may be a concern due to being diabetic. He does a thorough eye exam. The staff that helps with ordering glasses are very knowledgable and helpful.

Dr. Ensminger did a great job. He care enough to stop and ask if I was understanding what he was telling me and for the first time in years I felt as I was not being rush through the whole exam. I would recommend to come and get your exam done here

Everyone is awesome and friendly! I had a chip in my glasses and they helped me find a new pair that looks great and works well for my profession! The turn around time was quick and the doctor was thorough in his exam - I will definitely head back for my next eye exam!

Its been one bad situation after another. Was not happy with the doctor, the employees in the store and the lab who was to make remake my eyeglasses. All this started on February 13 thru June 18th. Was told I will be getting a refund. The regional manager was suppose to call me on 6/15/2020, this person never called me so I callef the store back demanding the number of whom U was supposed to talk to and got no where. All I want is my full refund!

The staff here is amazing. The helpful people and the welcoming experience always makes me excited to purchase new glasses and get and eye check. Also they have a machine instead of having to dilate eyes!!!! Life saver for sure.

Victoria was incredibly helpful to me! She took the time to explain the different lenses, my insurance and gave me great feedback in picking out my frames!! She was friendly and knowledgeable.

Not a good visit today. I arrived at 3:20 and when I arrived I was told that the doctor was on his way out!! The older lady was extremely short and put off that I didnt make an appointment when I wasnt told I needed to. I was being fitted for trial contacts which doesnt take long. Then she wanted to rush me through. Thank God for the very nice young man that was the receptionist who understood my being taken aback by Ill this treatment. Going forward they should communicate better about what needs to be done. I dont live close and was not happy for the wasted trip or the ill treatment. 4:00 means 4:00.

2/14/2020 Today I had an amazing experience at Kentwood Pearl Vision on 28th street. My family and I was welcomed in by Kurt Quiroz. He was extremely confident, kind and made me feel as if we knew each other for years. When I tell you he knew his stuff (dynamics of his job/products/insurance), he knew his stuff! The staff was great. Dr. Coon full of knowledge, explains things well and encouraging the kids to use glasses to see better. I thank Pearle Vision once again for an unforgettable day. Service surpassed expectations. I got a same day appointment to get my girlfriend an eye exam and contacts. It was the most thorough exam she had ever received. With my exam, and experience I had a great time and grieved my glasses is three days, wow.

No issue with the Optometrist, however, after the Dr. was finished with us, thats when my complaints start. I was told my order would show up within 7-10 business days and someone would call me, after 12 business days of radio silence I took the time to call about my order. I was told, sorry buy uh, one of the lenses was damaged when we were cutting it to fit the frames, we should have the replacements in, in the next 7-10 days So I asked, could someone please call me to let me know when they arrived, absolutely sir, no problem. NO ONE CALLED me, so I took initiative again to follow up to find out that they replacement lenses had been in for, Im not sure, but theyve been here for a few days. Complete incompetence to this point in my experience with this location. So I take the time to go pick up my order, not only did the woman who helped me in the upfront sale portion of my order not remember me, when I asked her for help she asked me to go wait at a back counter and never showed up. I was later helped by someone who appeared to be beneath her I say this simply by the way she talked to and treated this person. I am overall, extremely and frustratingly thoroughly displeased with my entire experience. I only visited Pearle Vision 28th St Kentwood across from Woodland Mall because it was listed on my vision insurance card. I can promise you that I will never return to this location, or any other Pearle Vision for that matter.Signed -Dissatisfied Customer

Awful experience with very misinformed staff. Came in for contacts in Jan 2018. Guy tells me my insurance wont cover it until May 2018, so he says my best bet is to buy a 4 month supply at full price. I do that. Come in today July 2018 for an exam and contacts, turns out my insurance doesnt cover it until 2019. I say whatever I just need a refill on contacts. They tell me I cant because my prescription is expired. If I would have known the first guy was a complete idiot I would have just bought a year supply back in January. Staff is incompetent to say the least.

I went in with a prescription and the Kyle was incredibly friendly and helpful. He took the time to explain my insurance and the costs / options.

The entire staff was extremely helpful, and it was such a great experience going in for an exam and new frames. One of their associates (Kyle) was very helpful and added the personalized touch that made my visit 100%.Thanks guys!

Great experience when I bought my glasses and another great experience yesterday when they fixed my bent frame for free! Great customer service!

I have gone here several times and they have messed up every time. I went there to get a contact exam and they said I needed to get another eye exam but at full price without insurance. The first time I received an exam the doctor said I was to young to get contacts so we were not going to get them. Then we find out we can get contacts and we have to pay full price for an exam. We ended up paying full price for their mistake.

I have always found Pearle Visions staff to be helpful, no matter what location, but the Kentwood staff is phenomenal! Tori is an excellent example - she walked through me through my insurance benefits multiple times so I understood what I was paying out of pocket for. Dr. Huizinga was great as well, explaining everything as he went through the exam. Same goes for the rest of the Ive interacted with!

Customer service terrible, came in to see if they could take a look at my glasses since they fell part. Nothings broke. But they wouldnt even take a look at them even if something was loose and needed adjustments. Told me if I didnt have a warranty they couldnt help...I pay hundreds of dollars and they wouldnt even look at my glasses to see if they needed adjustments, not to mention theres no warranty when buying frames, thats a separate price.

Is it normal to have a two-hour appointment? The staff did not seem interested at all in helping get my husband out in a decent time and there seemed to be only one doctor working. The girl at the front desk seemed disorganized and commented that she doesnt usually work at this location and made it seem like his fault that she didnt have his paperwork ready. Super frustrated at the wait time to get seen and get glasses, a two hour appointment time is ridiculous!

Hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever had. The optomatrist is fine but the rest of the staff is useless. Save yourself the trip and go literally anywhere else.

Despite the other reviews, I found Dr. Ensminger to be very nice and personable. I did not have to wait long, and was in and out in a reasonable amount of time; Dr. Ensminger also took the time to explain a few things regarding the eye tests he was performing. I will definitely go back!

Ill never go back. Doctors are great but the staffs are very unprofessional and useless. They didnt bother to explain anything to me. I waited over two weeks for my glasses and no one ever bothered to call me when they came in. I had to constantly call to check.
