Ill never be fully satisfied with another donut again - Glazed has completely changed the game. The absolute best things Ive eaten in... Well, ever. Theyre THAT good, yall. Edible masterpieces. We stopped in on our way out of Key West this morning, it was on my bucket list of must-try places, and it absolutely did not disappoint. We ate nothing but donuts the whole drive back home, they were THAT amazing. Our 6 piece sampling included the key lime pie, blueberry cheesecake, chocolate cake, brown butter hazelnut, maple bacon, and the star of the show - Cuban Coffee. My only regret was not getting more Cuban Coffee donuts.Ill be patiently awaiting some sister locations to open on the East Coast. Or Direct ship online ordering. A stale or frozen Glazed donut is probably still 100 times better than any other donut. π
This looks like a hole in the wall but the donuts are so fresh. They have weird hours so check before you go. There is also a line during late morning, but when we went around 7 am there was no line and the service was very fast. There is a good range of donuts to choose from, including classics like glazed and ones that are filled. There is a lot of filling in them which is awesome, just be warned before taking a big bite since it comes out the top! We got the key lime pie one and it was tart yet sweet and complimented the donut nicely.
Wow! I might consider myself a donut connoisseur, with all of the donuts Ive tried in different states Ive lived in, or visited. This GLAZED donut, I understand the namesake. Its PHENOMENAL! Now, I just happened to luck out when he was pulling hot ones. I dont know how often this happens, but it did look like they were made in small batches, so, Im guessing it happened quite frequently. I got a selection of 6 to take back with me back home (to AL). I ate half of a glazed, (1) because it smelled DIVINE in there, (2) that was my breakfast, (3) I usually start with the glazed & then go for the flavors at ANY donut shop. (If they cant master a glazed, dont bother with anything else. Thats the base.)Anyway. This was truly MAGICAL. The taste, the texture, perfect amount of sweetness! My mouth wanted more, but my brain said to slow down & savor it more!I cant believe I waited until our departure from Key West to try this! Our next visit, it will be my first day stop!!! πYum!
Super easy walk from Truman Annex. Great coffee. Always a wide assortment of unique and awesome donuts.
Get there early! My family never misses a stop here. Delicious!! I love the key lime pie donut, its just different. Want an unforgettable experience? Try Glazed Donuts!!
Well... I have to say that that Glazed has set the standard WAY TOO HIGH!! I will never be able to enjoy an apple fritter without comparing it to the Glazed Donuts apple fritter! It was hands down the best Ive ever had! Well done Glazed... well done!
Best donut place in the keys & Key West. Good coffee, but those donuts- legit tasty & memorable. Definitely a must try and we revisit here every time weβre in Key West. You may want to get extra before you return to the mainland.
Not impressed... Maybe due to coming off covid era but did not look like much space even to be able to sit in. Find this to be quite expensive and for me i like a donut that is soft cake like and doughy ... These were soft fluffy and slightly springy. If that makes any sense. The location was not exciting but hey.. Cant help that much. Many specialty donut choices. For a donut place it was impressive the selection... I would go back the service was nice. For being in vacation its a spot to visit.
Yummy. As in make sure you have an extra one when you think you should stop. I stopped by on my onewheel. Just super friendly. Two lattes and a dozen. The coffee is a dont miss. Not often you get CIA graduates running a donut π© place. Send your friend out that is up early to get them for you. A real treat.
Key lime donut was awesome, filling nice and tart. Cafe con leche with sugar not as sweet as Id expected. Disappointed dining area was closed.
Awesome, I gained 5 pounds just standing there BUT IT WAS WORTH IT
Decent donuts, but with most trendy donut places these days, they try too hard.
Delicious donuts and coffee. Highly recommend the lemon poppy seed donut, key lime pie donut, and the Cuban coffee donut.
Great place to go for doughnuts! My favorite was the maple bourbon with Canadian bacon. For those looking for coffee, they roast coffee on the premises. I got the Ethiopian. It was better than a regular drip coffee, but not as good as I had hoped. The roasting machine got my hopes up. Definitely go for the delicious doughnuts.
Long a fav of locals. Do not inform your cardiologist that you went to GD. The bag or box tells that story. The shop, not part of a chain, creates some fab items. As someone said, the Apple Fritter donut is terrific and almost enough for two to share. Delicious coffee. Get here early as there is often a line as the a.m. progresses. There are limited hours. When dining in was permitted there was limited seating. During our visit a few months ago, no inside dining was taking place. If you want a morning pastry and coffee this is an excellent choice, albeit a heavier one than some of the French pastry around town.
The wait, even at opening was about 20 minutes, but worth it. We stopped here twice on our trip. The Peanut butter delight was decadent, the apple almond fritter also delicious. Coffee was strong and roasted just long enough.Dont let the wait put you off, totally worth it.Almost forgot... the key lime donut was packed with a smooth, sweet curd with a slightly tart bite at the finish. The toasted merengue on top gave some extra boost to an already delightful crispy donut. Have a napkin handy... Maybe 2
If it was ever possible to rate a place 6 stars ββββββ then this would be the first place Id update. Amazing donuts, great coffee and awesome staff!! Really cool to watch the donut making process through the front window.
Oh wow, these doughnuts are amazing!!! Go early, they sell out fast!
Friendly staff and AMAZING donuts. Also bought a shirt from them and love it! Its super soft
My husband and I ordered 8 dozen donuts for an event we had and everything turned out wonderful, they were so delicious! Glazed really takes pride in their product and it shows, we love donuts and these did not disappoint!
My experience was lovely, the donuts were fantastic. the peach fritter was literally the best thing iβve ever eaten.
The donuts were so good that I made my first review ever.
Doughnuts are very good again we had a rude person behind the counter waiting on us. Seemed bothered we were there...eww
Best doughnuts in Key West! Try the Peach Fritters or Raspberry Filled! And, the Red Bouy coffee is great!
All I was able to order was an iced Latte BUT for Old Town is was a good deal and delicious. If you have no problem with gluten Im sure youll drool over the hefty unique donuts.Stop by, around the corner from the big white church on Duval β π©
Delicious apple fritter and brown butter hazelnut donuts
Awesome doughnuts, unique flavors.
Visited in May. I got a Meyer Lemon donut and it was perfect. Fluffy, creamy lemony perfection.
Small place, usually line out the door, and everything I tried was delicious.
Super cool donuts but would love a lighter option.
I absolutely love donuts so my sweetie surprised me this Valentineβs Day with a little weekend getaway to Key West and we couldnβt wait to try out Glazed Donuts. We made a 10 hour round trip by car for these donuts so we were pretty excited when we got there. We waited out in the heat for quite some time in a very long line as only 1 to 2 customers were allowed in the shop at a time which I assumed was due to Covid so understandable but I was surprised when we finally got in that one of the workers was not wearing his mask. I donβt know if this is normal or perhaps he just took it off for a few minutes, I couldnβt say. Since we felt very pressured to order quickly we ordered a couple kinds of donuts and apple fritters and when I asked for a box so my icing didnβt melt and stick to other donuts I was briskly told no. I didnβt buy enough donuts. Even after leaving a nice tip. The staff member was not very nice and she also shorted a donut on top of all of this! Of course my icing melted and oil leaked through the bag onto my skirt. Unfortunately it just wasnβt a great experience nor were the donuts up to our expectations and being shorted a doughnut when theyβre3.50-4.50 a piece just wasnβt cool. Kind of put a damper on Valentineβs Day but luckily we found some other great local businesses with great food and service so made up for it.
Good donuts. Skip the apple fritters as they are soaked in oil. But the maple bacon was yummy. I might try others soon.
Maple and bacon is the best. They have several other specialty doughnuts π© as well..
To call these βdonutsβ would be akin to calling a Ferrari βa carβ. Every single donut made to be a standalone culinary celebration. From the decadence of their Milk and Honey donut to the the crisp simplicity of the Cinnamon and Sugar. If you think an Apple Fritter would be more your speed then prepare to have your mind blown. The owners have created the perfect neighborhood donut shop. (Oh, AND they roast their own coffee, so dont miss out on the Red Buoy!) We love you Glazed!
This is the best donut shop!!! Unique flavors and everything is very fresh!! Dont worry if theres a line. Its worth the wait!
Great Donuts! very good fresh roasted coffee. Plus service that makes you feel at home.
I hate lines, will never stand in them for anything...but my pregnant self stands in line diligently and patiently to get the best donuts ever without a single complaint. The strawberry jelly donut is my guardian angel π₯°ππ
Oh my gosh, the best donuts ever! We tried several different varieties and were not disappointed. The staff was helpful also. Will definitely go back!
Key lime pie donut with Meringue. Sooooo goooood.
OMG doughnuts
This is a must when visiting Key West! Itβs rare to find a donut and coffee shop where everything is high quality and made from scratch. The owners were welcoming and took the time to help us decide what to order. My iced vanilla latte is one I still talk about to this day and my husband loved the maple bacon donut! We love supporting local businesses when we travel and canβt wait to make it back to Glazed Donuts.
A man at the front desk was very rude. He even did charge me 15% tip even though I said NO when he had asked. I didnβt want to argue with few dollars but am positive I am not the first and only one. This is unacceptable behavior, especially to foreign tourists.
Best donut ever. End of story. Glazed and Blood Orange. Seriously, the chase for the better donut is over. Ill be back! - Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 and me, after eating these donuts.
The doughnuts are AWESOME π
I dream of their glazed donuts and coffee. These arenβt just donuts. They are simplicity elevated to delicious works of art. Iβve never seen a donut shop get a fresh fruit delivery for filling. Even the sprinkles are made from scratch. I wish I was as good at anything as these folks are at donuts. If I they sold theyβre hand-roasted coffee smell as a cologne I would buy it. Why are you still reading this and not eating a donut yet?
Amazing flavor options and great service. The apple fritter had slice of apple and such good flavor. Egg nog had a delicious egg nog cream proportioned just right for the donut. All moist and amazing.
The title βDonutsβ does not do them justice. They are gourmet delights for all the senses. Megan is a Wizard with her recipes. Apple Fritters are my favorite but the simple Glazed Donut is a heavenly delight as well. For those that want donuts shipped, they are not, the cooled Apple Fritter and Chocolate cake donuts wrapped in Saran Wrap freeze very well and come back strong when slightly microwaved. Buy an extra dozen to take home and try this. The best test is to taste them for yourself. Not only will you have the best Donuts of your life but you will be in Key West. ENJOY!
Average donuts. 6 donuts was $20. Spendy. Only donut shop around.
Donuts were good but we got their to late for some we wanted to try. Overall if your looking for a fresh donut this is the place but with so many breakfast choices in Key West itβs hard to have donuts more than once in a long weekend trip.
Hands down the best donuts and coffee (I love their latte!). Fresh roasted coffee (in house, no less) and from scratch donuts made daily with seasonal flavors that take advantage of the freshest ingredients. My personal favorite is the apple fritter. SO. GOOD. This family owned shop has the best vibe and service. Do yourself a favor and stop here when you are in town.
So yummy! I confess... I donβt really like donuts. I know that is crazy, but I donβt. The only donut in the world that I will eat is one from this donut shop. My favorite is a regular glazed donut and if Iβm lucky, I get it right when itβs come out of the fryer and still warm. Their glazes are so delicious. I wish I could get a spoon and be a taste tester. Many of their donuts are main stays, but they change donuts based on what fruits are in season. This is a must stop on a visit to Key West.
My first time visiting, the guy at the counter seemed arrogant. As he gave us our change, we put the few dollars right into the tip jar - he watched us tip him and just stared at us, no βthank youβ or anything. The donuts and coffee were good though!
Great selection of coffee and donuts
These are crazy good donuts!! Wow! Definitely try the key lime pie, might want a fork for it. Its insanely good!
The donuts are amazing. The people are super nice. They have a great selection of donuts. It is in old town Key West. I definitely recommend this for breakfast one morning!
Some of my favorite donuts on the planet! Such creative flavors, HUGE donuts, great vibe. Cant wait to have them again!! So proud to have such a great donut shop right here in old Key West to rival those of my favorite shops in Brooklyn!
Best donuts in the keys. Just be there early before they run out
The peach fritter is the best donut Iβve ever had. The other donuts and the coffee were good, but everything pales when compared to the peach fritter.
Since they first opened, this locally-owned business has been turning out sweet treats that have garnered them national attention. Ive lived here in KW for 11 years, and I have never heard a local say anything but amazing things about their donuts, their service, or their store. It is my first choice when going out for a coffee - they roast their beans on premises - and their apple-almond fritters are the icing on my day, every time. With reasonable prices for what youre getting and a rotating selection of fresh seasonal flavors to buttress the classics they keep available year-round, there is something for everyone. Youll often find queues out the door - Im an impatient person, and even I will patiently wait around the block for this doughy deliciousness. But dont take my word for it; try them for yourself. If you dont like your donut and theres a very tall blonde named Gigi casually devouring a fritter nearby, come say hello and Ill happily buy it off you and eat it myself.
Recommend by our concierge at our hotel, we checked it out. Im always skeptical of coffee places that do more than coffee and sadly, my skepticism was accurate as the cold brew I ordered was weak with very little flavor or complexity. The macchiato was better, a nice complex pull of espresso with just a touch of foam. Most customers were eating the donuts which looked good.
Great π©, great β. π
