Perfect ice cream when youre in the mood. On a busy night these young folks work hard!
Got there when they werent busy. The young lady was nice and helpful. Answered several questions like they dont do food only ice cream. This particular building was built in the 50s. Only 2 people working so if they have a line be ready to wait.
Always awesome. Only reason its not a 5 star is because there is never enough employees. The ones that are there work so hard
We love Dairy Queen ice cream. Loved the old school look...takes me back. Sadly the girl behind the counter looked and acted so miserable, dirty looks, asked questions like she was spitting the words out at you. She almost threw my change at me. I hope management retrains her soon.
If you plan on coming here later in the evening like 8pm plan to spend at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes here. They are badly understaffed on the weekend and also during the week. We went two days in a row because diary queen ice cream is great. The staff was friendly and they did the best they could. When there’s only two of them and at least 40 customers they can only do so much. One to take the orders, one to make them. So of course it is going to take time to make all the orders up. They did a good job getting through all the orders with the little help that they had. They need to hire more people
Riding bikes. Pulled up at 1 pm no one there, stood in front of the window looking for people. Girl opened window and I was told to put mask on. No one was around, I’m at least 6 foot away from them. Went to Flamingo crossing instead and happier. Dairy Queen should do something about hiring these want to do nothing school kids!
The kids that work here are always so friendly!
Probably some of the best service in key west especially for a fast food chain. Fast considering how long the line was. And polite workers too. Some upper scale restraunts could really take a page out of their book, especially the eatery down by Highs beach, if you cant compete in the service department with a fast food chain it may be time to reavaluate! Great service 5 stars, but 10 if I could!
The blizzard itself was fine, but we sat there for almost 45 minutes because the girl running the window left the boy (like literal teenage boy) who was making all the orders, by himself, with a long line (easily 10 people) so she could take her 30+ minute break. This was on a warm Sunday afternoon. They should have had 3 people there anyway, and instead, when there is a huge line, she leaves. The poor kid. This is horrible management. Will never go to this DQ ever again. Good thing we werent in a hurry.
Nice neighborhood old school Dairy Queen; like you would find anywhere in the country, but tropical!
Its okay but could be better
A blast from the past. A real old-fashioned Dairy Queen! Fun.
I have a great time every time I go. So yummy 😋
Ice cream is always great, but waited 25min to get it..
Best Dairy Queen ever! Friendly staff, great product, fun atmosphere.
Nostalgic.Old school DQ .
Kids reward place on Friday
Very long wait, because they were very busy! Great service and awesome smoothie and ice cream!!
Such a fun place to go. We stayed within walking distance so we went 3 times lol. It did get buy here every night we went and we did have to wait but, the ice cream was always good. They could use one more person to help and I didnt like that they took your card to the back to check out. 5 stars for ice cream 4 stars for service.
Cute DQ. Very small and all outdoor (which is great for Key West and 2020). Always nice service. They only serve ice cream but the best milkshakes on the island!
I love this place! I have a great time whenever I go
Cant beat DQ ice cream! Takes me back years ago!
Love chocolate dipped ice cream cone
Staff is snotty and clearly doesn’t want to be there. They also insist that you wear an ‘approved’ masked while in the parking lot....while NO OTHER person is there.... as they do business through a 14” window. I’ve played the game before but no more. Try somewhere else first. The BIG cookie store on Duval always has great staff and appreciates you. They have ice cream as well.
Girls are very nice...I think this Dairy Queen is one of the older ones....in need of some sprucing up...but service andIce cream was good...cute painted wall with underwater sea life...enjoying their Dairy Queen...will see you next time...
The best ice cream 🍦
COVID-19 !!!!As we ordered, the staff seemed confused and not experienced in the operation of this business. After we ordered and after our payment was taken, we were informed “ these people are only helping me out because one of my staff tested positive”Very disappointed in the way this happened. The review above is based on my personal experience at this business location ( 1207 United St, Key West, FL 33040) on Aug. 10, 2020.
Great as usual...
It was a nice short walk to get ice cream
Love the blizzards there and they always mix them really well.
Have to wear a mask to order. They were very fast and order was correct.
Love there banana split
A very pleasant surprise in key west.
Told we couldn’t be helped, along with others, at 8:50 after standing in line awhile. Kids these days....
Always has a line, but the staff is efficient and kind. Always good. Great prices.
Very friendly service!
Always staffed with high schoolers. They always have a good attitude and are very helpful and kind.
Love it but need some improvement .great place, ice cream so good. Costumer service great. The place need some paints please..
Love this small neighborhood location. Sad you were closed yesterday at 7:30pm when we went by. Hope to stop by soon when you’re open again. Thanks for always having friendly servers at the window.
Tasty, inexpensive, and customer friendly
Its dairy queen......
I have been going to this Dairy Queen for the past 30 years. It is off the typical tourist route. I love it.
The service was fast, i got a banana split today and it was delicious. the staff was polite. overall good resturant, they didnt flip the blizzards but i can look past that
Yummmmm, staff is fantastic!!!
The new Wonder Woman Cookie Collision is amazing!
Great little place, right off of United Street in Old Town, near City Hall. Pretty large selection and the kids that work there are ever so sweet, come earlyThey close at 9pm/some nights at 10.It does get busy!! But ever so worth it!And parking capacity(lots can hold 4-6)on the side, and additional 4-5 right in front. And parking on the street (which is scarce).
The young ladies working there were very nice! They were quick and efficient! Ice cream was fresh and yummy!
What can I say, its dairy queen!
The quintessential Dairy Queen. From the 60s. Its about as authentic as it comes. No burgers like newer DQs. Just soft serve ice cream served in about 100 different ways (plus Orange Julius). A little out of the way (one block off of White Street) but worth the tiny bit of effort. The staff is young, fun and helpful. Go there!
This Dairy Queen location has been here for many decades. The ice cream here is always good and the service is usually great. Sometimes it can be a little busy with just 2 people working at this location however they seem to be fast enough.
It looks clean, we ordered blizzards and they were prepared quickly and tasted great! The service was great. Not much more to say! Over all was a perfect visit.
Some of the best tasting ice cream in Key West may be found here. Not very expensive, but, for the flavor, it is worth every penny. They even have dip-cones available in a variety of flavors. Try some ice cream in a cone, sundae, etc. Good m cold on a hot summer day or evening, any time of the year ! ! :)
What else can you say...Its Dairy Queen!
I loved this place. Friendly staff. Delicious ice cream.
Love that there is a Dairy Queen in the Keys
Hot fudge sundae unchanged since 1950s. Happy memories.
It was so nice that they didnt serve the nasty greasy food that most dairy Queens have. Its a very simple old outdoor ice cream shop. I liked it. Its off the beaten path and not on the main Rd as one would think
Peanut Buster Parfait was awsome - alot of peanuts and chocolate, just like the way I like
The lemon meringue blizzard is actually their key lime blizzard recipe and it is superb! It was awesome! Top it off, it brings some old photos I have seen in the newer DQs of these older locations to life, being able to actually order from this old location. Glad we stopped at this location before we headed out.
A great experience.
One of the oldest DQs in the US.
Delis, serve fast and easy.
Kids love it!!!
Been going for years still love this place
The ice cream tastes spoiled like everything the employee has a attitude try to get a refund and they didnt want to give me a refund i would never come her again last time
Always a favorite for the kids. Theyve seriously cut down on their menu items and my favorites :( but its still good. The kids they hire could show a little more hustle and the building needs upgrades but otherwise a nice little place with outdoor seating.
Dam good
Good place to stop on the way out of old town. Just off White St on United. Staff are always friendly, and usually local high school. DQ is still the best place for a soft cone!
Original-looking dairy queen complete with walk-up windows and outside picnic tables. The menu is limited to desserts and not all the flavors are available. We did not wait more than 5 minutes for our order. Workers were pleasant enough.
Service was great! Manager even checked on a couple of items, happily, to see if they were gluten free. Restrooms were also very clean.
Always an awesome time at the key west DQ! Same treats since I was a kid and new favorites too. Price is unbeatable for my big family... Thanks for being awesome.
All outdoor, only a couple seats. No where to enjoy the visit. Property is run down and the inside needs to be cleaned better or upgraded to standard.
Everything they sell is delicious (if you like that flavor of what it is). Their prices are getting a little bit out of had lately, but its still worth it as an occasional treat. The blizzards are great. Usually the Misty drinks are good. Great banana splits although the strawberries are usually a bit sour. Great sundaes. They dont seem to have hot dogs or other lunch foods like some DQs
Very good
The banana split acular is really tasty . They sell the best ice cream in Key west
I enjoy the ice creams, quick service and very nice hospitality.
It was amazing, so glad we ended up here, started off going to go eat at baskin Robins since they were closer but the service there was horrible so ended up at dairy queen, worth the extra drive. Hit or miss with the staff. Icecream is always good if you get anything close to what you order.
Havent been to a DQ in years great ice cream and Shakes
Its a favorite
Small Dairy Queen location. Ice cream here is good.
Always good old fashioned fun. Anytime we go there we get the pup cups for our #keywestpartipoodles and we like chocolate dipped cones.
Awesome Smoothie and Cones oh and the world famous Blizzards
These Dairy Queens used to be more common throughout the US: small, dessert-centric shops. This one has remained untouched (and unremodelled!). Great selection of ice cream, but not somewhere you can easily walk to. If you are really looking for some custom ice cream and have a vehicle, stop by.
Great service good ice cream....old time dq no hot food....
Had to get my ice cream fixed with my mom
I was just talked down to and asked where I live at this location by a middle-aged woman who was very confrontational. I watched 3groups go through the line next to me, who got there after me. When I asked if they could serve on a first come, first serve basis, I was told I picked the wrong line. I argued about their flow and she said dude, its two dollar Ive cream, after charging me $13 for three blizzards. Awful customer service, but the ice cream is as good as any Dairy Queen.
One of my favorite places on the island.
Who doesnt like DQ? Oh my, so many good things here. We go about once a week, sometimes twice a week. Hot fudge sunday. Staff is young but really nice. They only do icecream stuff here, no burgers or food. I love this old place.
I luv it.Great service. Love how young people work there.
Featuring a classic style of DQ, its not got any grill items. Its got what DQ does best: delicious soft-serve ice cream!
Every time I go to Dairy Queen in Key West I have the complete DQ experience, the staff is friendly and always recommends the Blizzard of the month, which is my favorite and so yummy! The owners are involved in the community and work hard to satisfy their customers.
Excellent ☺️ service
I liked this place because it is a Dairy Queen, also known as a Texas Stop sign.
