Mayo Autoworks fix my air conditioning in my old 90 obs Chevy truck. They did an amazing job and the people in the front desk are amazing. Highly recommend this shop.

This business is terrible. My husband brought his vehicle to get a steering wheel change. They accomplished it, but it wasnt drivable. It had to come off. No call or anything. Had the original put back on. They didnt reconnect the airbag or horn which is a safety hazard. I called to get it fix they said drop it off. I did 24hrs later, no go fix. They claim they cant fix it, this place will never be recommended by me. They are unprofessional and they never fixed my horn or airbag.

Took my car in, told them what to do. We told them it was sitting for over 3 months and TOLD THEM to change fluids. They were topped off.Took my car again in to get the brakes fixed and told me it was a master cylinder issue after sitting there for 2 hours.I highly doubt they looked at anything.

The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and kept me updated on the repair of my ‘83 Buick Electra. The engine is now as strong as ever and they even managed to fix a few other issues that I’d simply learned to live with over the years.

They still have my car I missed two opportunitys to sale my car!!!! Fix my car!!! Stop taking new clients if you cant fix the customers cars you have in your bays!!!I have tried to be nice these people have had my car for a month every day I come here they tell me my car will be ready the next day. They told me a week and now they told me today they just started on my car. A water pump I will never use this pace again only had 6 hrs for this job. Do not go here they will play with your time they continue to take jobs everyday and tell me they are short handed? I need my car now I cannot and will not play these games I payed for my car and I want it repaired. Now they are saying Tuesday of next week??? Im loosing my patients.

They trouble shoot my car and realize 2 tire pressure sensor is bad. Front desk lady told me it is 1st and 3 rd tired sensor. So 1st is front driver and 3rd she said back left or back right. She dont know. I have to bring car in after they did check it.Twist because they forget which tired. I had problem with traction control, i was wait for 3 hour then they said it is good. I walked back to my car and the warning light still red for that when they said im good to go. Add Correction. After Auto shop personal see the review, they gave me refund of service charge due to the problem above and they told me which tired need fixed without me go back there.

Update: the manager called me that afternoon, apologized on behalf of company, and refunded my money! Thats the type of service I have grown accustomed to from this family-owned business and I so appreciate the follow up!I have used Mayo in the past and have always been satisfied, but service today fell short of my expectations. I arrived shortly before 8 am and inquired how long it would taken to have two tired I purchased online installed. The receptionist said it would take approx 30 min and also states there was no one ahead of me. At 8:47 I inquired as to the status and the receptionist seemed offended as to my inquiry. I reminded her of what she told me when I checked in, and she stated two inspections came in and had to be done. Not that this justifies anything for me, but how about responding next time with: I apologize for the delay and we will get you taken care of as soon as possible? It is now 9:03 and I am still here.

Very professional and reliable shop. Ms. Crystal at the front the desk went above and beyond to make sure our questions are answered. The work was done in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. Would 100% recommend to anyone who needs their auto repaired at a reasonable rate and quality work.

I have been working on my car all night and got stuck on some stubborn bolts. Decided to wait until first thing in the morning to ride around and find a shop who would help me with my issue. Googled auto shops near me and Mayo was the first one I saw. Javier helped me with no hesitation. Took all of two minutes to fix something I was stuck on for hours. Really awesome dude and would recommend his services. You seriously saved my life bro. Thank you!!!! Mostly definitely coming back.

When they do the work, its good. However, they had my truck for five days to do a diagnostic, which was done...not for what I brought it in for. After much pressing, they diagnosed the issue.

What’s to say about Mayo Autowerks other than they’re the best shop in Killeen for automotive repair, I’ve never had an issue with any of their work, they’re reasonable, noce, and professional!

Originally went to get my Honda fixed due to overheating. I paid them $800 just for it to start overheating again. I went back and they convinced me that they found the actually problem. I paid another $900. Now because this is a secondary car that I don’t use often, so I noticed a few months later that it overheated again when I tried to drive it to Austin. I took it in again and they told me that it was the fans on the engine that weren’t working and it would cost another $435. After denying their service and taking my car somewhere else they were concerned and asked who was working on my car because they didn’t put it back together properly. Also they told me that I had a valve leak which was originally what Mayo told me they fixed. This place is a complete rip off !!!! And they are rude

I have been to this location a few times. The woman at the front desk Crystal has always been super helpful and attentive. I take all of my cars to get inspected here. I always refer my friends to this shop if they need a place to do any auto work or need a state inspection. I will continue to give the place my business because I always feel welcomed and appreciated.

Dont take your car here. They will say they are working on it. Then call you they could t get to it today. Response to the owner, I understand what your saying I do plenty of buisness with your company. It is just unprofessional for your employees to tell me that somebody is looking at my car. I then drive by to see it’s in the same spot I left it.

First off, Im a mechanic on cars, fixed wing aircrafts, and rotary wing aircraft. So when I say these people are hustling you, believe me. I was quoted a good price over the phone and when I showed up, they increased it $150 more. They refused to honor what I was quoted. So I tried to bargain with them by asking them to break the nut that was seized, and what brought me there in the first place, and they wouldnt. If you know nothing about cars, dont come here. They will hustle you

Not only did the manager lie to me about the repairs made, They actually stole parts off my obs Chevy all while mentioning his truck. When I pointed it out he had the guy who worked on my truck put the tip back because I actually tipped as I thought I was getting a good job. When I got home I noticed my window was off track and my oile pan bolt was not correct. This was the oil leak they convinced me was a rear main seal. The store mgr refused to give me the owners name or number and referred to me as a few racial slurrs i care not to mention because it aint about that. The fact they would do this as a professional business operating anywhere is beyond ridiculous. I would not ever recommend even if they do a good job. The audacity to steal from a customer that paid over a thousand bucks shows their character and it is of wickedness. I fixed the job myself and ride by them daily. All Praises

Very tentative and speedy work

I will NEVER use this shop again! All I needed was a resonator welded on a/c charged and my oxygen sensor changed(I bought the parts) and they had it for 2 days from open to close! And expected me to bring it back for a 3rd day!!! And wanted to charge me more than I already paid! Then had the nerve to tell me she didnt have anyone to weld it on(mind you its 5pm! After they have had it all day(day2!!!) So I said give me my car Im taking it elsewhere she had someone come weld it! So now Im having it double checked.. they charged me $823 for all this! Wasted my time and money! very unprofessional!

My heating core went out. I was told they would have to charge me more because I had a supercharger. Coolant does flow through a superchargerSecond car I brought at the same time to be looked at. Said the rocker arm was loose and brought it to me in a bag. Then gave be three ways he “could fix the problem”$350, $1500,$3500 options all WITHOUT a warranty. If you are able to remove it. Why not fix and charge me? Not have to pay a diagnosis fee, then a fee to reinstall after you was already there..smh

I went to have a tire that I had brought with me mounted. Very reasonable price. They only charged $20 to mount & balance. I was in and out in about 30 minutes.

First time going to Mayo Autoworks 2 since living in Killeen for a year. It is a very clean shop and the staff is friendly. It is a bit pricey but I guess you get what you pay for. I am very satisfied and I want to say thank you to your team for being patient and kind while I asked so many questions, I like to know details.Definitely got a lifetime customer right here.

Well it took them 3 days to diagnostic on my truck an it took them a day to do the engine flush an oil change. They never called me to let me knowiw whats going on with my truck i had too call an check on my own truck.

Had my own filter and oil and they charged me $20 for labor while every other places I called quoted me $30 or more. I went in with no appointment and was out within 15 min. Nice sitting area with complimentary water bottles, some magazines and big comfy couches. Will definitely go back for any work I need in the future.

Cystal and her team always took care of me for yrs so far I have been very satisfied wht they have done for me.

Paid almost 3 grand for them to fix my vehicle. I got some work done under the hood and a new front windshield. My check engine light is still on and my windshield leaks. I had to scrap ice off from the inside of my vehicle windshield. Now I have to spend more money for another mechanic to fix their mistakes. Learn from me, save yourself the time and money. They don’t deserve the one star but it’s the only way you can leave a review

I went in to have a few things done to my 17 yr old truck. I told exactly what was going on and what I believed and the things I had done to it previously. I was having throttle issues, cv boot leaking, and radiator hose leaking. One thing you should know is that if you make an appointment with them, it doesn’t matter. Expect delays and slow work. I think they take too much on without enough mechanics. Luckily for me I had another vehicle. The lady upfront is standoffish and seems a little snotty. Coolant leak got fix. Throttle trouble got fixed. Cv boot fixed. While repairing the cv boot, they noticed upper steering arms had too much play( excessive wear, 17 yr old truck expected). They replaced but when I got my vehicle back and I turned hard the steering was not right. It took them 6 working days to complete the initial work. The truck would push and drag somewhat straight. Went back 3 times. Then I told him I would wait a month maybe parts would wear in. Went back a 4th time after a month. Mechanic replaced the hardware. He originally told me that the bolts were worn and rusted from the start. I would give them a higher rating cause I am happy with my truck but it shouldn’t have taken this long. It’s a 17 yr old truck. Why wouldn’t you replace the bolts there were obviously worn and rusted in the first place. They are a bit over priced, bill was 2900 for all the above mentioned work. I believe they overcharge on parts. It would be a hard to recommend them to others. Guess if you can wait for your vehicle then yes but expect to pay.

I always come here to get regular inspection/oil changes.This time I came in for a big job and was a bit upset of course, I needed a rack and pinion.I had to come back a week later for the exact same issue and the Mayo team took such good care of me, they stand by their customers. This took away some of my time but I am very satisfied!Thank you guys

It is your basic mechanic shop but they have nice people working there

I am very displeased with the knowledge of the mechanics at this facility. I went in last week because I was having problems with my brakes that i changed myself. They were making a grinding sound after I put the new brake pads on. My rotors were stuck on so i went to this place for them to fix the squeaking and grinding noise. So they changed the rotors which was nice, however after they put everything together, everything was still grinding, and they gave the car back to me in the same condition as i went in for. Since my old rotors were grooved, they told me my new pads probably had grooves in them as well because i put new pads with old rotors. I am sure that was not the case because i drove maybe a half of a mile to get to their facility from my house. So today, i took everything apart again, only to find out it was the clips were rubbing on my rotors. They charged me $180, and didnt even fix my problem. I will never be going back to them. If they would have checked the clips to make sure nothing was touching, then everything would be fine. I let this issue go for a week, because of time and money, and i ended up with 2 broken clips along with 2 sets of glazed brake pads and rotors. Like I said, very unknowledgable mechanics that should be knowing the simplest of issues.

I gave them my vehicle almost a month ago and still waiting. I have constantly called for updates but get no return calls!!!

The place is very clean and the atmosphere is nice. The prices on the work being done is reasonable. The only reason why I didnt give it five stars is because the front desk service could be a little more energetic and polite. I kind of felt that they didnt care what I had to say there. Other then that the work was nice and I have no other complaints.

I can not say enough about the service I received today. Small thing, Vehicle State Inspection for my father who has recently been diagnosed with dementia. It’s been a rough time. To come here on a Saturday evening @5 pm (closing time) and to be served with smile on her face! Between her (sorry no name) and Javier this was by far the best service I received. Would consider them for other auto services.

Initially I was unsatisfied with a situation that occurred, but when I brought it to the attention of this shop manager, she was very understanding and concerned with making the situation right. She went out of her way to correct the matter. I genuinely felt like she cared and for that reason I will continue to do business here. I truly feel like that is what real customer service is about.

Excellent customer service. The gentleman at the front counter was very friendly and polite. As I was waiting on my car to be serviced, I could hear him speaking with other customers in both in the shop and over the phone. He always answered with Yes Sir, No Sir, Yes Maam, No Maam. The mechanic, Javier, did an excellent job on my vehicle. What surprised me the most was that he even took the time to adjust my seat and mirrors back to where they were before. Every time I have gotten my vehicle serviced at other places, they NEVER do that. I would recommend over anyone else!

This is the best service Ive ever had with am auto shop. First I dealt with Crystal over the phone, had a tow truck to me in no time. Tio was my mechanic, he called me later to let me know what all was going. This was on a Wednesday & he said I would be able to get my car most likely by Monday. I have a Traverse, there is no easy way to work on this car I have found out. Anywho, while speaking with Tio I explained I could not go without my car for that long, so he told me Ill have it ready for you by Saturday. Now the bill, some was covered under warranty, the majority was not. Tio & Crystal walked me through the financing of the rest. Crystal worked dillengently with me on the financing. I get a call Friday, Tio says Ill be able to get my car back later that afternoon. He stayed late on Thursday with another mechanic in order for me to get it back quick...all I can say is amazing amazing amazing the care & courtesy the two put into me getting back on the road. Ill only do business with Mayo #2 from now on. Thank yall again, yall are amazing.

Terrible customer service. I bought a car recently and the dealer sent me here to do some work they agreed to take care of. This included ordering a spare tire kit. This was in October. Since then I have followed up on four different occasions and I am always told to leave a number and someone will get back to me. This is my fifth time checking on it. (It’s Dec 30th) and I was told to...drum roll...leave a number and someone will call me. Spoiler alert, no one ever calls me. They might do a good job working on cars, but it must be on spare parts they have laying around and not on stuff that has to be ordered. I’ve opted to wait for an answer in person instead of waiting on a call back that will never happen. I guess my next step will be to let the dealer know they paid for something that was never delivered. Let them deal with it.

I took my car in to be detailed and the finished product far exceeded my expectations. The car looked brand new and the price was affordable. I would recommend their services and will surely return myself. Fantastic job!

I will always come to Mayo Autoworks for my car needs from now on! I needed to get my 83 year old mother to Albuquerque and she didnt want to fly because of Covid-19 Pandemic concerns. My engine died as we were headed out of town and Mayo got my car in right away and got us back on the road quickly. When I had another problem come up, they again got it in right away, diagnosed the problem, gave me a quote that they stuck to, and communicated with me when it wasnt going to be finished when they expected. Their waiting area is clean, comfortable, and inviting, and they took me, and the 4 teenage kids I had with me, home when it was going to be a lengthy fix. I have always been treated professionally from start to finish with everyone who has helped me. I would recommend Mayo Auto works very highly. Javier the manager is amazing and they are very honest and trustworthy for any auto repairs you may have.. I have been screwed over by auto repair places before and I am very hesitant on who I can trust to work on any of my vehicles. However Mayo auto works has earned my business for life .

I wish i could give them zero stars. My husband went to go get his AC fixed here THREE different times. The first time it was blowing hot air so he takes it and his air filter was broken. They put one in. So we take it back this last time and its blowing hot air again. We go buy freegent and still not even close to cool air. He called them when we got home and they were rude said he needed to buy an ac kit and trying to blame us for not bring in an ac kit when they could of got one and charged us for it or let us know to get one and they never did. They dont even care that after THREE times of taking it to fix the problem that we spent money one. Never come here they do not care about your car at all and will waste your time and money.

Went in for oil change synthetic is what I wanted for my Ford Taurus. Charged for 6 qts of oil which made an oil change almost a 100.00. Usually I get 5 qts. The oil is past the full mark. I have never heard of adding an extra 20.00 for labor with oil change price. I will not go back. I could of had it done at Ford for a cheaper price. So much for going to a small business.

Its really unprofessional and slow they left my windows down in the parking lot for 3 days and I was only there for a basic diagnostic should have only taken 4 hours at most on the 3rd day I picked up my car because they still had not touched it

I dont understand how a place with 4.5 stars could treat folks so poorly and keep their star rating. Over charged pointed that out took too long to get that corrected and made me feel wrong for asking for the correction.

It was between Mayo or firestone and boy am i glad i choose Mayo. Better service and prices. I had a great experience. Very friendly and professional.The lobby was also very clean and smelled great 😁. I will return and recommend this place to all my friends and family.

They really need to work on their customer service. I walked in and saw several employees standing around in a nice, new, country kitsch lobby. Nobody came to the counter or acknowledged that I was standing there. This was at Mayo #2. I had to wave somebody down and ask him Is anybody working the front counter? The man sheepishly replied, Oh hey, sir. Have you been helped? Obviously I havent, if Im standing here, YOU SEE ME, and Im flagging you down. Maybe theyre comfortable because theyre the new shop in town, and Killeen is small. But they need to tighten up with their customer service and greet and acknowledge their customers, especially a new customer like myself, when we come in. Secondly, they need to stop putting people on hold for twenty to thirty minutes on the phone. My service was done, and they were supposed to be in contact with me. I had to call them to find out my item was ready, then I was sitting on hold for over 20 minutes while they had to find my machine they serviced. Unprofessional. They can definitely do better.

I have taken my business trailer here as well as my truck to have some things adjusted and looked at. The one lady at the front was very welcoming today and the gentleman offered to help me with my hitch adjustment with a smile and did not charge me a thing! When we had our generator evaluated in the past the price was very cheap. Would recommend and will be using for future work needed. Thank you Mayo!

I absolutely love bringing my car here. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent customer service all around. I live in West Texas and have a difficult time finding a place that can do quality and correct work on a Mercedes. My car was in dire need of maintenance and since parents live down the road from Mayo Autoworks #2, I took it to them. They took great care of it. From that moment on I save all my maintenance on my car for when Im in town because I trust it will be done correctly.

Every time we take a car in they are helpful and friendly. Never have we had a problem with their work or service. We will continue to use them for all our car issues.

My AC compressor would constantly engage while car was at idle. This caused my engine to shake very noticeably. I was told by friends and coworkers that the cause was this and that. Mayo Autoworks 2 quickly determined that the issue was with my ac/heater control module. The fix was costly however they managed to find a working used part and ended up making the price very affordable. I’m happy to say that my AC compressor is engaging the way it’s supposed to and my engine is no longer shaking while at idle.

I had been running errands all day and, mistakenly, hadnt paid my gas meter any attention. So I get to my sons school and ran out of gas in the car line. Called Mayo Automotive and told them my situation; within minutes, Josh (staff) pulled up gas can in hand. Life saver. Really appreciated that!Highly recommend!!!

Its not a professional atmosphere there, customer service lady is rude as heck, not the guy though, but thats all I remember negative wise. Its not a Fire Stone I can tell you that ! I feel good when I spend money at fire stone,because of the assurance they give me. Here at mayo#2 its more so a hit or miss type of feel. But they fixed the problem I guess. I brought my car in for an oil change, Crystal helped me right away and was very friendly. When they were doing the oil change they checked my tires and noticed I needed a tire. She explained my options, said they would check for a used tire in the back and if they didn’t have one, she could order me a tire and have it there the next day. There prices are competitive and they are fast. I will refer this place to friends and family. Thank you to all the staff!

Had to get 4 new tires. After the dealer priced my jeep and NO THANK YOU ...I called Mayo. Made my appt for Sat and to my surprise everything was fantastic. Clean,friendly and right on time. Thank you.

I went to get a my truck looked at from some noise. Paid 2000 dollars on a new timing chain that was not even the probem. I went back and now the they want me to pay another 1500 dollars on a possible fix! I am never going back here ever again. Crook

Took my Jeep in for a simple transmission swap. I’m glad I got the extended warranty on my transmission because they overfilled the first one put in. It was slamming into fourth gear and wouldn’t go into fifth.. later I noticed fluid and foam all around the solenoids. They told me oh the slamming is because it needs to be reprogrammed (the TCM) so I took it to jeep and paid them $500 to do that. In the end, a new transmission had to be put in AGAIN, and they charged me to put in BOTH of them, when they were brand new transmissions that were tested and certified. When the warranty people sending another new transmission needed to speak with their mechanic, we found out their mechanic didn’t speak English.. and I’m thinking then how could he read the instruction manual.. and the owner was very reluctant to tell us the name of the mechanic that worked on our car and flat out refused to give us a last name (which the warranty company asked for- we didn’t care who did the job, just that it wasn’t done correctly). All in all, was out of a car for two weeks and spent over $2000 at this shop. NEVER AGAIN!

My dad and I have been taking our car into them for four years now! They do a wonderful job and treat us like family-remember me by name when I come in! They are very fair priced and have even given me rides home for free and picked me back up when they know the car will take awhile since we only have 1 at the moment. I’ve taken it in on a whim for an oil change a few times, and they always somehow fit me in, and are timely on my scheduled appointments. We live behind an autoshop but we’ll always choose Mayo! Mayo was just the best today!! I had a dead battery and got it jump started but had to get it checked immediately - I drove in, told them the problem, within 5 minutes my car was in a bay getting fixed while I had a great cup of coffee in a BEAUTIFUL waiting area!! They took me in 10 minutes to close and had me out at 6:05! Very quick and efficient. I had been going to mayo #1 but would highly recommend this location as well ! Very professional !

Great people and there work is un-matched, they get the job done right every time in less than 24 hrs with no problem . You will not find anywhere else to go that will do a better job then Mayo Autoworks 2, really nice and respectful folks.

I just had my old Toyota fixed and they did a marvelous job. There was a light on and a new noise when I got it back, but I brought it right back to them and they fixed it with no charge. My mechanic brought us into the garage talked to us about the trouble and then told us what he had done and what he was going to do next. Now my old car is running as well as ever. They always take good care of my car and of me. They even give me a ride to and from the shop if my car needs to stay overnight. Thank you, Mayo Autoworks #2!

Friendly knowledgeable mechanics. Helped me out with my tire when I needed it most. Ladies at the desk were friendly and polite and got me helped out right away. Wait wasnt very long either and the bill was cheap.
