I recommend this shop and will use them again. Chuck was great! Had to have an engine replacement on our 2015 BMW. The staff was straight forward and down to earth. Came in for a diagnostic and to get my front plate put on. Clean shop nice workers, the only thing that irritated my soul a lil bit was how they put the plate on my car. The bracket that I bought for my car goes in the middle, but they just slapped it on the right side. Aint nothing I can do about it cause the holes are permanent 😒😒

They did a lot of work to my vehicle, but did not fix all the issues. So now Im going to have to pay for labor that would have been included if it would have been fixed the first time. Also, while in the shop they were not communicating. I had to call to get updates.

Very nice and clean waiting area, really cool with the memorabilia to examine. Not too long a wait time. Only 4 stars because of pricing but honestly its worth it, hard to find a mechanic shop like this one where the help and truth is happily given.

First of all, I would suggest to not bad mouth a customer or job while the customer is in the shop, paying for services rendered.We bought 4 new tires separately to get put on our truck and also needed an alignment done. We have a pretty big truck on 35 tires, 20 wheels. A previous shop I called stated they wont be able to do an alignment due to the size of the tires. I made a mental note to make sure to ask any future shops I called.I call Mayo Autoworks on Stan Schleuter and they confirmed they are able to do so. We were quoted over the phone 4 x $25 tire installation ($100) plus alignment $128. We were expecting to pay $228-$250. Great, not a problem. We drop off the truck around 2:30PM. Around 4:15PM we get a call to let us know the tire rods needed to be replaced and our grand total would be $878. Obviously we were shocked and are on a military budget, so we called around to get other quotes. We were quoted $622 from another auto shop. We call Mayo back to ask them just to put the tires on and that we found a cheaper alternative. Immediately, they said they would price match. So we said, alright, great. We were appreciative. We started coming up with a financial plan and about 20 minutes later, get a call stating theyre not able to do the job (because the tires were too big, although they confirmed theyd be able to do so) and we had to come get the truck before 5PM. We were a bit irritated.We head over there, we pay for the 4 tire installation without a complaint, just wanting to get the truck and figure out a plan B. While we were in the shop, we overheard a staff member/owner (unsure what his role was, assuming owner but I could be wrong), bad-mouthing the job. My husband asked to grab the 4 old tires, since 2 of them were still in decent shape. As he goes to grab them after we paid, he saw said staff member/owner and asked if he really couldnt do the job or if he just didnt want to price match. Listen, we get it, if you cant price match, then just say no and well go somewhere else. I doubt our $900 will cause a major dent in your financials. We felt that this was pretty unprofessional and felt the need to share our experience. Let this be a learning lesson.

I got my car back April 3rd 2020 after a bad car accident. I was informed that I had frame damage that couldn’t be repaired but my car would be okay. April 6th my air conditioning was gone out and my condenser needed to be replaced. The bent frame ( which I found should have totaled the car out ! ) led to me having to replace tires multiple times after an alignment was done. My door makes a popping noise every time it is opened but I assumed it came with the overall cosmetic damage of my pretty bad accident. This was my first accident ever and j trusted them, I was pleased with my initial customer service so I wasn’t upset and thought it was just part of the process and I am not one to complain.I use the car up the block from Mayo 1 and about 2 months ago I noticed my fog light on the right side was missing and I assumed it was something that happened in the interstate. Last week I decided to look before I ordered a replacement and it was literally inside of the bumper. I was going to fix it myself but after the air conditioning happened yesterday I decided it was time to take it in and ask about the issues I had been encountering.I am a mother of four, I cannot drive without air conditioning . I take it there and the first man I talked to was rude and after I told him my problems all he could say is “do you have your receipt “ and luckily I did. But I feel there should be some data base held to show records. Bull was helpful and informed me I could drop my car off today and I did bright and early. I call to make sure they got the car and they tell me basically it’s my fault and I have fender bending and that’s what was the door problem which upset me and they’re charging me $128 to check the air conditioning because the problem “ may not be the condenser “I know that isn’t true because I haven’t been in any accidents or had any other issues and there is no justifiable reason for I informed him of the frames that fell off at the car wash a couple months ago which I was physically replacing out of my own pocket BUT the fog light to just fall out of it was properly secure.I do not have money time being thrown down the drain and I kept my paperwork because I thought they meant what they said about the warranty. Now I’ve paid 350 for a rental car and now they’re trying to charge me for bs

Absolutely horrible do not take your vehicle there. And expect to have your vehicle returned in a safe condition. The story’s about cars coming to Mayo on a tow truck and leaving on a tow truck are true. Horrible customer service. Our Vehicle has been here for repairs to be done, they collected money for repairs upwards of 7k to only find out by another shop that items have been installed incorrectly. The problems have been brought up to management and instead of fixing the problem by reimbursing us for only 2k out of a 5k job for our family vehicle that we transport 4 kids under the age of 6. They just hung up and would rather have the owners pay upwards of 5k in just legal fees for Gregory k Simmons to represent them in a civil suit. And have negative exposure from Texas consumer reports, Instead of doing the right thing from the get go.

I showed up needing a headlight bulb replaced and was serviced right away. I also knew i needed a drive belt replacement, and the mechanic brought it to my attention, so i got that done as well. I was serviced emediately and the pricing was fair. These guys work hard and their service is top notch. Would recommend to anyone.

Wasted 150 trying to get my lawnmower and weedwacker tuned up. Took both pieces of equipment to Mayo and used them one time after the service. Now neither start and looks like I gotta replace them. Its not bad gas either.

I took my car here for 2 reason for an oil leak and ticking noises. They fixed the oil leak and didn’t fix the ticking noises. Bull EXACT words to me were “I THOUGHT fixing the oil leak would fix the ticking noises.” He then told me to bring my car back up there to get it looked at. I brought my car up there and it sat in the same spot I parked it from open to close without my seat moved. I am short so I know my seat should’ve been moved. Although he said they would look at it. Then he said he would have to charge me ANOTHER diagnostic fee and I said well you was supposed to fix that issue while you were doing the oil leak since my car was already being looked at. My car is now at the dealership getting done CORRECTLY! Take your money somewhere else!

My husband and I have a older model van, a 2002 Toyota Sienna. Just recently it has been giving us problems. As soon as my husband got there they did a diagnostic test and found everything that was wrong with it in a timely manner. They even dropped a few prices since we have already put so much into the van with other problems . They called me and my husband while it was sitting in the shop to update us and they have always had our van fixed on time! The only issue I had was, my van was shaking pretty bad before we took it to the shop the first time and they ended up fixing big things from the diagnostic check rather than the actual shaking problem bc that was our biggest concern, we knew we had to get more done to it so we took it back 2 days later bc we have a trip coming up this weekend to make sure the van was going to be fine, they finished the other work today, the shocks needed to be replaced and alignment and a few other things, than they proceed to tell me that my axel is messed up and it was going to cost another 600$ to fix, and it usually costs around 700$ so they even brought down the price. I was so upset but they were willing to help us out and have us pay them on our next pay day! Other than that they have been great to us! I would recommend this place to someone else!

Mayo Auto works #1 has an excellent group of mechanics who are great workers and know what they are doing, you can ask for Barnard, Chuck, Javier or Nik and your vehicle will get repaired the right way. Ive never had a problem with this repair shop. There is a reason why Mayos Auto Repair has been around the Killeen Fort Hood area for over 30 years.

A friend was referred here by her tow truck driver after her car broke down. First off, NEVER take the tow truck drivers recommendation. Theyre paid a cut by the mechanics, who overcharge you in order to pay the driver.She needed an alternator, and the shop quoted her $1000! I am NOT a mechanic, and I swapped it out in the parking lot across the street in 30 minutes using a Harbor Freight ratchet set and YouTube--for $300.Ive never touched an alternator in my life. Can anyone from this business explain why a single woman with a baby was quoted $1000 for a job that took a complete amateur 30 minutes to complete? I think I just answered my own question.Take my opinion or leave it, but do yourself a favor: ask what parts need replacing, and price them out yourself. Then, look up the job on YouTube to get an idea of how long it should take. Whether you choose this shop or not (you absolutely should NOT), youll do better knowing what you SHOULD pay first.

I called one day to do a diagnostic and quoted 60 dollars. The next weekend quoted 128. While waiting heard them quoting lower than I paid. They were very nice and lobby clean tho.... and I was told my dash light would go off after repair and two days late err t back on. Also quoted wrong price and did not attempt correct. Paid 100 dollars more than was quoted

This used to be my go to place. However, they took my money took fix a slow leak, but they never fixed the leak. They only added too much air. Took my other vehicle 3 times to get ignition problem resolved. They replaced the starter each time without attempting to identify why the starters kept failing. Friendly staff, but horrible at their job. An ok place to get your state inspection done if you happen to already be in the area and everyone else was busy.

My husband uses their services for things like small engine repair and they replaced my headlights for us. They are always timely and friendly. Down to earth people and we always feel like the prices are fair.

These guys are the most expensive auto shops around town. I mean they have to be. For a brake job front and rear $1100? Hell nah!

I had them perform a simple oil change on my 2014 BMW 3 Series. Less than 20 miles after the oil change my cars low oil warning came on. I had to add a quart to get it to the full level. Just two and a half weeks after the oil change my car oil level has dropped to the half. Do not trust this business with your vehicle.

Have been to Mayo twice in the past five days, for two separate issues. On both occasions the staff has been courteous to me and attended to my issues expeditiously. The mechanics listened to my concerns and answered my questions thoroughly. They were very patient with me and explained the process of ordering a part for my truck. The customer service is always excellent. Thankful they are around the corner from me!

Man man man, me and my daughter sat up there for 3 to 5 hrs for an alignment,took it to fire stone and they fixed it within an Hr. But not only one day!,we went the first day, they didnt fix it,went the second day still didnt fix it. Finally enough was enough,I took it to firestone. They fixed it in an hr. Nice facility though

Ive been to this location a few times now for tire issues that my dealership and Walmart were unable to accommodate. Theyre fast and very friendly. I love that atmosphere here and the woman at the front desk is great! She was able to order my tires and had them delivered to her location the same day. Although I was unable to come the same day to have my tires replaced, the staff called to check in and helped set a time that worked for everyone. Ill be back with any vehicle issues I have Im the future.

I wouldnt recommend any other shop in the Killeen - Cove area, they are hands down the best around! Mayo #1 has honest and very friendly mechanics. If you need any work done on your car and dont want to be ripped off by the dealerships! Ask for Boston you wont be disappointed!

Had to bring in my car for bumper repair as the front end broke off during a parking disaster. they fixed it by readjusting the plastic components and tightening the screws on the spot. they did a great job considering short notice and i know they were busy but gave me undivided attention. very polite and profession. to top it off, they did not charge me at all because they found my problem to be minor. they could have scammed me or charged me with any amount but they did not. kudos to you guys and more power!

Markie was wonderful during our time of need. We purchased a vehicle from Mayo over a month ago. The car had a minor issue Brad, the office manager took it upon himself to make sure the car was in tip top shape before we drove it off the lot. Thank you to the entire staff for being timely in repairs and making a stressful transaction feel easy.

If I could give no stars I would..very poor customer service and the bald headed man at the front desk didnt even acknowledge me when I stood at the front desk, but when other customers came in he spoke to them as if they were long time friends. Besides the prejudice.. I came for simple inspection and they failed me because the 3rd middle brake light was out and try to charge me $30 for it. This shop is prejudice and a rip-off.

I have had my 2001 Camry worked on several times since Mayo Auto Works opened for business. The service was courteous, the cost for parts and labor was very reasonable each time, and they were able to complete the repairs well within the time estimated. I have also heard many excellent first person reviews from other customers who have taken their cars there. And I have seen the owner/s arrange credit on the spot and taken payments without charging interest for customers who really needed help and didnt have the cash up front. They are trustworthy and have excellent certified mechanics.

Came here on a short notice to fix the trucks tires after sitting for 6 months. They were able to get us seen and taken care of in less than an hr! Very friendly staff and such a great atmosphere! I give a 12/10 reccomend this place!

Good experience with an oil change and tire rotation. Oil change is a little pricey, but it was done quickly. Nice waiting area with things for the kids to do while we waited.Staff also encountered a very rude and angry customer, but maintained composure. The man used profanities and demanded things that were not available, but they kept a professional bearing. I was impressed.Lawnmower is in for repair. Will review that later.

My rotor needed replaced but at the time I didnt have the money to replace it let alone even buy a new part. My car was in the parking lot for a week when I got a call from one of the workers informing me that it needed to move soon because no one was communicating on the car. I said okay and informed her on when a buyer was ganna come and buy the car/ tow it off. I called everyday since Thursday to update on when the car will be towed off but I called this morning (Monday 8am) and they said the car was abandoned knowing damn well it wasnt. Now not only can I not sell my car, Im even further in the hole because I have to pay to get the car out of the tow yard.Do not trust them for long term anything!!!!!
