I highly recommend JM Resources. Their customer service is superb - they are extremely professional, friendly and reliable. Their technicians are very skilled and knowledgeable and fix/resolve any issue with care. You never feel rushed or pressured by JM - they only recommend what is needed or asked for, and handle every job with extreme care and attention to detail. Ken, the technician who handled our most recent job (as well as past jobs) is beyond amazing - he answered any questions we had and made great recommendations for additional features we are considering for the future. Overall, I continued to be an extremely satisfied customer and will keep going back to JM!
STOP AND THINK BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY. READ THEIR RESPONSE TO MY 1 STAR REVIEW AS A FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER AND THEN YOU CAN DECIDE IF IT IS WILLING TO RISK HIRING THEM.Don’t use this outfit. They are misleading and dishonest not to mention the equipment installed in our house stopped working and there was no interest in helping us. There was a mention of possibly selling us a different solution. Subpar choice of material and cables. No upfront communication about billing for a service call and weeks later we are invoiced with a half hearted “our bad” for not mentioning it AT ALL!Update and response to your comments below:Today is 8/3, 27 days since I responded to your service managers email with ZERO response back.I did appreciate your quick response but I was never informed of any potential to be billed as acknowledged from your own company in the apology to me for not telling me before sending a technician.Also, as far as diagnosing the failure of 2 separate and independent cables caused by misuse is an extreme stretch and is not fact. This is simply your method of avoiding any sort of responsibility to your customers and for the products you choose to sell. If plugging an HDMI cable in to your TV is misuse then why did it work for 7 months only to fail out of nowhere? I was told that the failures were due to damage on both ends of the cables and yet what recourse do I have to dispute this?As per my email quote in opted to include in your response, this was me taking responsibility as a homeowner and not lashing out at the person who helped me that day. This was not a statement of agreement nor was it any agreement to pay a bill I didnt know I was going to be receiving 3 weeks later.It has now been 8 weeks and NOT once has anyone followed through on trying to help me. I responded on 7/7 to your service manager with a request for 3 pieces of information and YOUR company either cannot or doesnt want to provide it.The reason I am unhappy is not because I dont want to pay for a service your company provided. I dont want to pay because you were dishonest about how you charged me and followed it up with threats to charge my credit card without authorization and that I wasnt even aware you kept on file without authorization for over 12 months!I included a screenshot of the email response on 7/7 in addition to the misused cables. It must be nice to fire shots at a frustrated customer without even knowing how poorly your company continues to handle this.Provide the documentation supporting your claim to bill me without notice and I will pay the bill. I hope all of this is worth the $215.95 you are so desperate to collect. To ignore me over this amount should make every person considering JM stop and think long and hard.To say you look forward to assisting me is simply untrue. Your company has 4 weeks to respond and 2 JM Resources Employees have actively ignored me and my weekly follow up emails.Screenshots and photos included.

We have been JM Resources customers since 2002. We are very pleased with JM Resources services. Recently, our panel needed upgrading due to elimination of 3G network. The service engineer, Ken was very professional and did a great job. He also took the time to explain and help me set up the TC app for wireless control of the security system

Bought a new home that JM serviced and have had several issues with JM. They left out a needed outlet for wi fi to be connected. They forgot to mention we needed a network switch to be able to connect hard wires. Communication is horrible. Multiple times we never heard back after several attempts . I would never do business with them again.
Our serviceman was fantastic! He worked hard all day and took his time to explain everything to us. If I ever need more service, Id like him again! You are very lucky to have such a hard working employee ! His name was KEN. Weve had JM Resources for 28 years! Great company! A++++++++++
After my negative review I was contacted directy by one of the principals of the company who had researched my complaint and admitted they dropped the ball he left me his name and extension to reach him directly, Since then, I have had many calls and emails from him and my issues are being worked on. I am glad he was respected my complaint as being legitimate and indicated he is working to improve JMs customer service. No company is perfect, but I respect JM who is making a real effort to recognize and fix their mistakes. Im happy to continue into our 24th year with JM Resources.

Their approach to provide a total approach to home technology, and ability to help educate clients on why technology is important has allowed our clients to integrate the most appropriate technology (Home Automation, Security, WiFi Networks, Audio, Home Theater, Outdoor TVs, Cameras, Lights, Locks, Thermostats) for their homes. They are evolving in their offerings, and have a process and a team that is great.I used them in our first home 34 years ago, and then again when we bought a new home. As a company that has been around for close to 40 years, they are a leader in the industry and have a track record that proves it. A great company with great people at every level. Every builder should make it a priority to have them part of their building process!!!!

Was referred to them to take over my existing wired security system and could not be happier. I have a 20 year old system that they were able to upgrade and provide a protection plan for any future changes in technology.Their team of people from the Sales, Ops, and techs were all great! Worst security system and service ever! Dont do it! We had Advent Security for 20 years before moving and never had a problem. The JM Resources system hasnt worked longer than a few weeks without calls all day/night. They were rude and shared no sense of understanding of our problems. They didnt care that the alarm went off at 2AM and we had to call THEM and they couldve cared less (we thought someone broke in). The only thing they are good at is suckering you into a 3 year contract.
Run as fast as you can. They never answer the phone. Their prices ar extremely high. They give the impression that they really dont care about their customers, all they care about is money. They charge $124.00 for the trip charg and the first 15 minutes and $24.00 for each 15 minutes thereafter. If I could have given zero stars I would have!!!!!!!!!
Great and honest company. They worked with me to upgrade my existing system that had been using a landline and upgrade to dual path cell/WiFi communication. They provided me with many options to choose from so that I could choose the budget I was most comfortable with. They were honest and transparent through the whole process, and offered a service contract that ensures I am protecting the main components of my system for life. I am sure there was someone who may have been a little bit less expensive, but JMs experience made it more than worth it to even consider shopping around. If you want a great company, call JM!
Great security system and technology company who respects and truly understands their clients needs. They educated and were able to help my family with a total approach to home technology. They worked with me and my budget for home automation that tied together my alarm security system, cameras, smart door locks, lighting, thermostats, audio, WiFi, TVs and more. Additionally, they presented a variety of options at various price points which allowed my family to decide the most appropriate path based on our lifestyle and budget.They are extremely honest about their approach, pricing and terms which is quite nice compared to many of the national companies who paint a pretty picture without telling you about the fine print. I would 100% recommend JM for all home technology needs. As a company who been a leader in the Philadelphia marketplace for almost 40 years, they have a team and a process that works!
They are either good or bad, but not much in between. They are not consistently either. The good- the central station sends the police and fire during an accidentally tripped alarm. The bad- While alarm is blaring all through the house internally, the house phone rings but I do not hear it over the horn and cannot hear what the person on the other end is saying (I can see the phone flashing and caller ID). They also cannot hear me when I say there is no emergency and the alarm wasnt even set. I was just sitting reading a book. There is no break in and there is no fire. Tell police and fire not to come. It would have been better if the loudest part of the horn wasnt INSIDE the house, but pointing outside instead. The good- they show up on time for appointments. The bad- Service is needed because those accidental trips are from faulty equipment. The faulty equipment costs a ton of money and is never under any kind of warranty. I cant remember ever having a service appt for less than $800. They bill in 15 min increments so when the service guy starts with..how was your weekend? Then hed go onto another subject when i gave the its good short answer. I cringed because Im PAYING for this show of friendliness, so get to work! They also always tried talking us into upgrades and service contract renewals but unfortunately a contract renewal just adds red tape and legal clauses that should have been avoided. The good- auto pay is available and allegedly I save $1 per billing quarter if i enroll. The bad- once enrolled they will refuse to ever let you go and claim they never received your correspondence (cancelling auto pay or cancelling service altogether) - whether online or in the snail mail. The good- they started service quickly after initial startup. The bad- they will never let you cancel, in writing in or online ... without a fight. If you cancel because you are moving they insist that you are bound to a long 5 year contract with auto renewal that you cannot break, even in writing, unless you PAY THEM OFF by sending them the 5 years worth of LOST WAGES they would have earned if you stayed with them or even better- talk your new homeowner into assuming your contract and extending the service so they are locked in instead of you. I guess that substitutes for a sales team, finding new customers. Bottom line, Im sorry I used JM Resources for my security needs and should have terminated this unhealthy relationship sooner. It is maddening and expensive to do business with them. Thats no way to retain a customer base, by intimidation and force. A good company sells a product that people want to buy and would be satisfied enough to stay. JM Resources is NOT that company. Run, dont walk.
To the owner who replied: I gave the rating for these reasons:1) There was no doorbell chime installed and no alternative was given2) The Skybell camera on the app is not that seamless and has quite a bit of lag3) This is more on the builder, but I was under the impression that pricing included a wifi thermostat as part of the Total Connect app/house.
AMAZING CUSTOMER SUPPORT! Had an issue with troubleshooting an older alarm system where it was beeping due to a low battery warning etc., Called the service line and spoke with Steve. Steve not only provided amazing customer support but did so with patience and clear directions as I worked with him to troubleshoot and power down the system! Thanks again Steve and JM Security Systems!
Would give a zero if I could.No customer support all answering service people when your system is down, your done if its not Monday to Friday 9-5. Doors and windows are not connected properly so you are never really armed. RUN RUN AND FAST TO ADT if you want a good company. Had them 20 years always found help when needed, this company is the worst.

Horrible business people. They were supposed to have a job completed before we moved in and 3 months later it still was not completed. Even worse they did not bother contacting us and we had to contact them. We ended up canceling due to the horrible customer service!! Go elsewhere.
