I wish there was negative starsI used Rent-a-Center for years even though I had good credit. All because they treated us like family. In an emergency, they always came through for any need I had. Going in to make a payment was like old home week.Then, they brought in a crazy man. They wont listen because I made them aware of TJ long time ago. They have their reasons I suppose. But, we decided to leave the company until there is a person that is not offensive to wait on us. Year and a half and were still waiting. They just dont listen. We can only conclude that he has something over them or are looking at a law suit if they rid us of this terrible person.
I only needed to rent a fridge for a month. First they gave me a fridge that was WAY too big for the spot it was going in.Then, Before the month was up, I called to see if they could pick it up a few days early. We set a date for them to retrieve the fridge.That day comes and goes. They didn’t show up as scheduled. I called their number 3 times with no answer and no voicemail box to leave a message at. Essentially got ghosted by Rent a Center. I had to call a different location for assistance. I don’t recommend them unless you want to be ignored and stuck with a huge fridge that you don’t need.
When our daughter moved in with us, I took over her payments. I tried on five different phone calls to make payments and have the payments changed to monthly on a specific date and auto-pay. I got a different story every call. And each time, even if I was trying to make a payment I was treated very rudely and left on hold for 20-30 minutes. Finally they switched it to a monthly agreement on a different date than works for me so we were always late but made the payments. Then they called my daughter repeatedly from a personal cell phone. When she answered the man on the phone screamed at her, demanding a certain amount of money or he would sue her. When she said that her pay day was the next day and she would be happy to give them the requested amount, he said, See you in court, and hung up on her. We paid them off and will never go back and steer everyone we can away from them.

The new manager is a joke.I rented with rent a center for 7 years and bought 19 items from them I loved the ease of delivery and the warranty that protects the items. Jess was the best manager they had. After he left it all went down hill. Tj is a jerk who loves to be the boss but blames everything on other employees. Ill come back to rent a Center when TJ gets replaced.

Sorriest people I ever talked to, they keep calling for my son, I have nicely asked them not to call, even gave them my sons phone number and still they keep calling. Now Nice went out the door, when they call they will get a serious ear full.
TJ is a horrible manager. He answers the phone with such a attitude. He doesnt even want more business he seems like asking about an item is a inconvenience and gives everyone a long speech about if you dont pay on time he will come to repossess the next day. Been a customer a long time and didnt like the way he was talking to other customers I paid my items off and will come back when hes gone.

Nice at the store, and when we first did business it was fine. On the day of delivery they were several hours late and forgot a power cord and damaged trim in my house and would not remove the fridge from its location and when asked to get the old stove to the garage only took it for pee out the back door. since I forgot the cord to the stove they said it in our living room placing it on top of things destroying them when there was well over 15 ft of clear space on three separate walls in the same room they could have set it down; not to include damaging the fridge and scratching it on the way in so our brand new stove is already damaged. They were dismissive and rude to my wife and when confronted about this experience the manager stated that the next payment that was coming up with b on them and we wouldnt need to worry about it....... When we went in and appreciate it the quote-unquote fix to the situation decided to get a PlayStation long story short end up making the payment and told the next payment would be taken care of. We ended up paying the next payment as well which means youve made all the payments so far received absolutely no real discount this weekend other than the current sales that were already going on they were offered to everyone. When trying to contact us store no one answers Oren put on hold. And Ive spent the better part of four weeks calling everyday the customer service online for rent a center and countless emails and have not received a response yet.
They were supposed to call us to pick up washer, never called. When we stopped by to see what was going on they said the washer was sitting there for over 2 hours and forgot to call us. Then get the washer home and no freaking drain hose. The help need help
Ok so may have been miscommunication between parties lesson learned I will not lease items in my name anymore for other family members however I will continue the payments its my agreement looking forward to doing business with TJ
Nice people there but you cant EVER get an honest rate quote from those guys. We had problems with getting a much lower dollar amount quoted to us initially plus 2 more later instances in which the ACTUAL rate was closer to 4x the amount quoted nor could be taken out of the bank acct anywhere near when the auto-pay date was originally scheduled to pay. Because of the lack to take their auto-payment on the agreed upon times and date we, and or references would get several phone calls from the store starting ON the due date.

Old manager who worked there was really nice. Suddenly he doesnt work there anymore. We were scheduled to pay $$$ on the 16th thats it but they told us there was a late fee for 3 days late bUT SPECIFICALLY TOLD US LAST WEEK WE WOULDNT GET ANY FEES. DONT BUY FROM THEM OUR LATE FEE WAS $35 + $$$ = $$35 FOR 3 DAYS🙃 Im sorry I cant keep paying for a late fee on top of what I already owe. This companys all for the money. I have other things to pay it was so frustrating buying from them.never will again. I get it I was late but not always. even being 1 day late gets you a fee....
Poorest customer service ever !! from the manager t.j n Kingman az ..n.the way they handle there appliances! .. but the other ones who brought BK our fridge the young girl n guy were very professional ! Didnt get there name s.thank u guys .!.

From the get go I was lied to by this company told me that the computer was a lot bigger than it actually was was told I had till The beginning of June to pay all of my device off to get the same as cash price bank account and payment history shows that I have met that payment I have paid it in full and they’re still trying to charge me and tell me that I missed my payment and I need to go ahead And keep paying for this device that I was originally lied to about to get when I talk to the store manager You won’t even acknowledge the fact that his employee lied to me about my device

Well I loved rent a center I have gotten most of my stuff from there washer dryer freg gamgaming stuff tablets laptops phones have not got anything in some time from them we just got married move in to a new place have nothing .so we was going to go to rent a center to buy a washer dryer and bed and bedroom set but we soon found out the rentacenter does not come to seligman az any more nore does presscott so they tell us its cuss the do not want to send there drivers that many miles ok fine thank a bout this every to u got to a store and buy something some one had to bring it to the store for u to buy that means the driver who brought the stuff for u to buy drove many miles so cus ur crybaby staff do not want to drive miles that means the smaller man suffers so ummm yep way to go though highly of u all now ur nothing.
