About 4 years ago we bought us a 2006 Altima. Firestone is the ONLY people I will allow to work on my car. Theyve put brand new tires (at a great price), they keep my tires rotated and my oil changed! I even like all the employees Ive ever met!!

The staff is friendly and courteous. The technician was very polite and upbeat. He came in to turn in the paperwork and said he was going to wash his hands before moving our car. We will definitely drive an hour for service to be treated so well.

They have a new mechanic named Travis who really knows his job. Excellent service.

Never come here for a oil change unless you have a 90+ minutes to waste. You’re better off going to Valvoline or Pennzoil or any other oil change station. I got here at 4:15 and left at 5:45 & it wasn’t even that busy. Worst part is they didn’t have the courtesy to give an update as to why it’s taking forever and just let me sit around wondering why a 20 minute oil change took 5x as long.

Friendly staff but a little bit pricy. $502.50 for servicing two rotors and 2 brake pads. This was after a discount. That is the only thing keeping them from receiving a full five-star review in my eyes.

Excellent job resolving a leak in my tire.

Had front and rear brakes repaired which unfortunately I was not pleased on either occasion. They warped the rotor on the left front which they replaced free of charge but charged me to replace the right caliper which I believe was damaged from the warped rotor. Then had my rear brakes done which I was reluctant to do but did had to replace both rotors but now my car sounds like a train pulling into the station even after I took it back to have them say the pads were glazed over so they sanded them down but still didnt eliminate the problem. Not a happy camper. Will never go back!!!

Extremely disappointed with this shop. I took my car in for a rough idle and stalling out occasionally. Well they never told me a diagnosis of what it is but they tell me I need all this other work done and then it SHOULD fix the issue. Well I do the work and pay out $1300 and it never fixes the issue! I did my own research and consulted other mechanics and it turned out to be a $29 egr valve! Yes a $29 fix. Not once did Firestone mention this to me. As a professional shop I really feel they shouldve known this because when two employees at advance auto assures you thats what it is but a professional shop never mentions it something is wrong. I learned a hard lesson and it costed $1300 but oh well. The car was fixed by a mechanic for $29 and the mechanic never even charged me for labor because it was a simple quick fix plus he felt bad that I paid out $1300 already.

Quick service. Clear communication. Called ahead to confirm they had availability. Unfortunately had to replace all four tires. They explained why and, when asked, took me into the workshop and showed me the worn part of the tires. Given that I needed new tires that day, I am happy with the service.

Too lazy to check what coolant I was running in my car and just assumed it was dexos. Temp got up to 270 on the drive home and at their shop and didn’t tell me that it shot coolant all over my windshield that they tried to wipe off. Never again will I take a car here. That was my first and last

They didnt do a very good job. I asked specifically about a light that was on in my car, and they literally just turned the light off. The light came back on as I was driving away. I asked for my money back. The sensor in the light turns out to be broken. They should have been more thorough.

After a recent oil change I noticed the oil was leaking, I took my car to the Firestone on East Stone Drive as I did not trust the West Center St. Location, they said that it was a bad gasket, replaced it and I shouldnt have anymore leaks. Unfortunately, it was still leaking so I took it to the dealership. The dealership found that an After market Drain Plug was used and the threads in my oil pan had been stripped, and then they covered the plug with some type of yellow putty. I went to Firestone West Center Street to explain to the manager that if you are going to work on different cars you need to make sure you have OEM parts and not something off the street. I was informed they do use OEM parts, well obviously not in this case. In addition I inquired about the putty around the drain plug and was told they do that for all oil changes???? Im not a car expert but if you did the oil change correctly why the need for putty?? Folks, I am an honest person and I felt deceived by both locations. I wanted to make everyone aware in case you are thinking of taking your car here, think again.

Good people to buy tires from.

I went for a routine oil change. The technician spilled oil all over the engine somehow and I was told this is very normal and it just needs to “burn off” according to Mike, that the smoke billowing off the engine will go away and the engine needs to burn off the oil. A week goes by and service engine light comes in. Take in and they tell me I have an oil leak and sensors are damaged and need replacing for $1200. My husband looks into it, literally cleans off the oil off everything and what do you know, NO oil leak, NO sensors need replacing AND the service engine light went off. Please be aware before taking your car here because this was the most careless thing I have ever experienced. Have not heard from them or even at least given back the money spent on a “diagnostic” test that even one who doesn’t work on cars can see that oil just needs to be cleaned off of everything at the very least. It is a shame because before this they have done just fine. They need to make it right, refund my money, and make sure their technicians aren’t being sloppy in their work.

Called up as we just ran over a screw and wasn’t sure it had done damage. They said to bring it in, within 30 minutes vehicle was checked no problem no charge. Had previous tire work and mechanical work performed here, very knowledgeable friendly staff and reasonable pricing. A one stop shop!

Very slow make sure you have no other plans for the day after they take your vehicle its two hours for four tires idk what they do but its not working on vehicles

Found tires listed on their website for $74.99. Took my tires in, had them take them off and put new ones on the rims. Told me they would take $40.00 off the price of my new tires for Exchange of the old ones. Look at my receipt to find they charged me 207.99 for two tires.... minus the $40.00 of course.. that puts the total for 2 tires at 83.99 a piece... that’s $18 more than the price listed.. so not only was the $40.00 discount TOTAL BS, but I also go swindled out of $18.00... and on an added note, I dug out my old Firestone receipt from a different store where I had bought the exact same tires before, the price I was charged at that store was $83.99 per tire.... the exact same price I was charged at this store after they applied their “$40 discount”. So I was lied to.....Be careful, take the time and do the math... you’re not getting a discount, it’s a sales tactic to make you think you’re saving money... and make sure you take the price you see online into the store to make sure it matches what you’re getting... nothing worse for business than dishonesty!!

We came up from South Carolina and found two new tires at a great price. Patrick was exceptionally helpful both over the phone and in person. He was knowledgeable, courteous and very kind. being from out of town we were nervous and Called around to every tire place that was open on Saturday. Patrick was by far the kindest and provided the best price. The gentlemen in the service bay got our vehicle in quickly and our tires changed out efficiently. If you need tires, or any other maintenance for that matter this is the place to go!

Great service and helpful saved me a lot of money

This was my first visit to this location and it was exceptional. My service advisor Vincent was clear and detailed on what service was needed for my vehicle. The staff’s customer service was top notch and they kept me informed and updated until the work was completed. I was given an estimation of 4 hours for work completion and they had it done in 90 minutes. I will be back as a customer and thank you for a pleasant visit.

Stopped in here on a Saturday morning to get a tire fixed - nail in tire causing slow leak. The repair took about 2 1/2 hours. The price was reasonable. There is not much of a waiting area. Staff was courteous, not really friendly though.

Good work thats worth the wait

I have lived in two cities in the past four years where I patronized Firestone and had problems with valve stems in both. Four years ago I purchased new tires for a passenger van and within two weeks I had a blowout on the interstate. It was determined that they had failed to install a heavy duty valve stem for larger vehicles. I chalked this up for a bad store.However I now live in a different city and drive a minivan. About nine months ago I purchased four new tires. A few weeks later the low pressure light came on. I assumed since the weather had turned cold that it was because of that so I added air (one tire) and didn’t think much of it. However I noticed that several weeks later it came on again and added more air. I’ve done this twice more (same tire) the last time (about a month ago) I took it in and they filled the air and told them I was having this recurring problem. They said if it happen again to bring it in. It happened again. I took it in yesterday and they determined I had a leaking valve stem. I asked if it was covered by the warranty and they said since I didn’t purchase road hazard protection that it was not. I suggested that this wasn’t a road hazard that is sounded like a defect. They said the warranty on the valve stem was only 90 days. Since it was only $7 I didn’t push the issue and told them to fix it. When I picked it up the bill was $28. I said you said it was going I be $7. They said that since I didn’t purchase the road hazard that the $19 charge still applied.I guess if you purchase a tire from Firestone that you should take it in at the end of 90 days and have them check them out before the warranty runs out.I don’t know if Firestone just has a prolific valve stem problem or if they just hire people that don’t know how to install them properly. Just know Firestone has some sketchy people working for them somewhere along the line.

Ive been to many Firestone Complete Auto Cares. Theyve all been pretty good. But the consistent, high quality customer service at this shop ranks them light years ahead of the rest. The store manager, Michael Stanley, is always present(unlike other managers at other FCACs), always engaged with customers, and on top of everything going on.

The guys here were friendly, courteous and got the job done.

Had to give 1 star but they shouldnt get 1 star. Fix my daughters car for $2,700 and it didnt make it a couple of miles down the road and done the same thing. Then they said she needed a new engine then said it was the transmission. The manager got hateful and hung up! Might be good for tires but not a total car care place. I will never recommend or go there again.

A good tire shop which aligned, balanced and rotated my tires. Results were very good.They offer lifetime contracts for alignment and balancing which are quite economical, particularly if you have these services done on a regular basis.Comfortable waiting area with TV and free coffee.

Although the staff were friendly, the wait time was unreal just to have my vehicle looked at, and they tried to sell me front brakes, rotors and calipers when I only needed the rear. They also told me I needed four new tires, which I know is not the case because they are relatively new with a little over half tread. It was going to be over $1,500 for everything including the four new tires that I needed. I will definitely not be returning, and would advise anyone else who needs repair to go elsewhere.

PSA. Firestone on Center Street in Kingsport appears to be less than honest. Oil change yesterday-oil light on today after 20 miles of driving. Response from firestone-“truck was 1/2 quart low.” In the first place the light doesn’t come on until 2 quarts low. This makes me wonder why the oil light came on in our other vehicle about a week after the oil change when it has never came on before. The same shocks for a GMC pick up are also apparently worth $200 more if purchased through Firestone. 🤬🤬🤬. If I could give negative stars I would rate them -10

Very friendly staff, but do not go here if you are expecting fast service. As of writing this, I have waited nearly two hours for a standard oil change. No, the facility was not busy at my time of arrival, nor within the first following hour. While I do not know the finer points of operating a garage, I do know that there were two garage bays consistently open up until around 25 mins ago. While it’s not entirely justified, this is most likely due to my not making an appointment; so be sure to save yourself the trouble and call ahead.

Been going here for years and my dad has also took my 4 runner in and they said I needed over 1,500 dollars worth of work done on it. Took it somewhere else and it was only a 300 dollar fix like I said me and my dad been going there for years and I have life time alignment With them but i will not go anymore and I tell everyone I can about them doing a me that way I have spent a lot of money there and got company were I did work to start bringing thier vans to have to be Service There. The manager which I trust a lot came an told me all this needs to be done and it didn’t. I did have a lot trust in him but not now.

They will rip you off. When they tell you that you need over $1,000 worth of fixes then you take it to another trusted place and they tell you all you need is one set of brakes, i recommend going elsewhere

There is no need to go anywhere else for your tires or auto care other than Firestone on Center Street in Kingsport. They are very professional and take great care of you. Also treat you as a person not just a dollar walking in and out. So to put it short take your vehicle to them.

I found this place to be very disappointing. Had to put my vehicle in tell me I need $1,200 worth of repairs. They cutting me a great deal on labor and most of the charges parts. I decided to take my vehicle elsewhere parts were 439 labor was 160. I find Firestone try to make an extra $700 profit on a 3-hour job. Ill never return to this place again back to Hayworth Tires we go

Stopped in without an appt to get new battery for my van. They were able to work me in within about 20 mins, got the battery installed and I was on my way. As a side note, the Interstate battery that they installed in 2009 has lasted nearly 9 years. Thats a long time for a battery to last without having to be replaced.

At first I wasnt going to post but this might help someone else I had this shop do a 4 wheel alignment and mount an balance 4 new rims and tires my first quote was 165 plus tax in the in end 195 lil upset so I checked the bill once I got home an saw where they charged me for disposing the old tires which would be fine if I had them do so I took my old tires and wheels with me. When I confronted mike of the problem he acted confrontational an didnt like that I called them out on it. I let it go but I wont return. An if you decide to go better get a written quote. The 8 bucks isnt the problem its just principal of the matter adding fake charges

BEWARE IF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT CARS. ..Sent a friend down there for alignment, oil change and rotation, .. when car was ready we noticed the mark we put on a tire was still on same corner so they LIED about rotation, car never went into alignment bay so they LIED again about doing alignment ... when confronted about not doing work they charged for manager offered 4 free oil changes that I doubt the would even do lol

They took out my 4 tires, and examined and said that I had to replace my 2 rear rotors because its too thin and all brake pads had to be replaced. I knew two pads needed to be replaced for sure, so asked them to replace pads only, and they refused saying its hazardous and they cannot do that.I took it to the dealer instead, turns out, all rotors were in perfect condition did not have to be replaced, just needed to be resurfaced and two brake pads replaced for much cheap. They informed me that its as good as new.I am very disappointed with Firestone.

My husband purchased tires here about 2 years ago and they offered free tire rotation for the life of the tires! Every 5k miles we have them rotated. It typically goes okay however each visit became worse. This final visit we were there for an hour before anything was relayed to us and I had to ask! And I asked because watching our car in the garage the gentleman working on it was very unprofessional. While waiting on our car he casually walked and got coffee, took a phone call, and smoked a couple of cigarettes. 15 minutes after this we were told they had to order a new stud from Advance and we were probably going to be here like 30 more minutes! Why was this not done in a timely manor? Very disappointed in this service.

I went in to get a screw out of my tire and they told me that my tires were dry rotted and would not fix them because they were in such bad shape that I would have to buy new tires then he proceeded to walk me to the counter I said I can only do two and he said let me adjust the price (they were going to try to sell me 4 brand new tires) I left and went to walmart they said they were just fine charged me 10.00 DO NOT GO HERE I have been a costumer for years and I am finally seeing how they treat women.

Adam took are van in to get the brakes done at Firestone in downtown kingsport they quoted us over 1000 after taxes and all. Highway robbery at its finest. They told us the calibers were bad and that the brake hoses were collapsed and needed to be changed also. I told Adam to take it somewhere else and lets see what they say. I was praying because we were gonna have to cancel the kids birthday party in order to pay for brakes and I didnt want to take the kids party away. So now Adam took it to Quick Lube in colonial heights and they said there isnt anything wrong with our calibers and the hoses are fine. Its only gonna cost around 400 now. How can mechanics get away with charging so much? How can you knowingly rip people off and not care. We live on a fixed income and already struggle month to month who the heck can afford to pay over 1000 to have vehicle maintenance done. The biggest question of all is how many people has Firestone ripped off and no one has questioned them? I almost want to call them and say something but I dont think that would work. I feel like they would come up with an excuse as to why its that much. FYI people stay far away from Firestone in downtown Kingsport.

I used to like this place but I took my wifes car in for an oil change and they said the battery was bad. I took my jeep in for tires and they said the,battery was bad. I didnt fall for the second one. Something is afoot here people. Also, when they changed the battery they didnt clean off the terminals. They seem to be doing a shotty job now.
