Dermatology Associates is always professional and helpful. They are very cautious regarding Covid. Dr. Watkins is an awesome dermatologist. She is very thorough and has a great bed side manner. She is easy to talk with and leaves no questions unanswered. Her assistant was extremely efficient also. I highly recommend Dermatology Associates. Strongly recommend Dermatologist Associates. They are very professional, friendly and answered all my questions as I had many. They never rushed me out of the exam room and ask me if I had anymore questions. The nurses stresses to always call if I had any questions at all. No question is to small. Angela Myles and her nurse saved my life. I was there for an unrelated visit when they noticed a mole on top of my foot. Very rude. NP acted as I was keeping her from something more important. I had to wait a very long time to e seen. I was told my insurance would not cover my procedure. I was fine with that, but I had to insist to get a mole on removed that was bleeding. Very rude.

Before appointments was even made was told $100 on my Care credit credit card. I have since received a bill for $37.02 & billing of course would not remove as expected. I find that pretty unethical and dishonest. I will not ever return to this dermatologist. I was going to schedule another visit which would have been $135 but def not now. My opinion is, I would go elsewhere. Frankly & honestly, nothing was even done except LOOKING at the locations I had noted. Included was 4 small skin tags I would have liked to be removed but that was for the additional $135 for up to 4. But as shown in pic, you extra charge me $37.02 over the $100 stated, well I dont think so.

Appointment scheduled at 9:50 today, arrived at 9:30. Filled out new patient paperwork, run of the mill, took 5 minutes or so. Was called back at 10:30. Wait time seems a tad excessive, overheard others complaining about it. Get the feeling the Dr.s may be a bit overbooked.Covid restrictions are heavily enforced, btw, which is a pleasant change from the norm in this area.Met w/ nurse/PA for 5 or so mins and then the Dr came in and did a quick, but fairly thoughtful full body exam (Dr Homokey).She was nice and efficient, as was the nurse/PA.Had a mole removed and was out of the exam room within 15 mins.Entire visit was an hour and a half.Overall a pleasant experience other than a fair bit of waiting.(They seem booked out, I waited a month and a half for this appointment)

I see Denise Whitfield NP and she is absolutely amazing … I do have anxiety about anything that has to do with skin cancer and such … however, Denise Whitfield always makes me feel at ease. Oh and I drive an hour from home .

Everyone at Dermatology Associates have always been very friendly and Professional each and every time I have had an appt. We have a lot of family members that also go to this practice.

I have had psorasis since I was a kid and went here as a child and all was fine then. Now an adult and looking for some treatment because theres so much out there now to help treat psorasis and basically was given a cream and was told insurances dont want to pay for the several other treatments you see on tv all the time. Was very disheartening and I have really good insurance. I lived with psorasis since I was 10 and was trying to get help only to be told this. I dont remember who I saw just that it was a female. Ive been told by several other people to go see another dermatologist because never should I have been told this. I wished I remembered the ladys name to because I would mention it 2 in this review.

I had the worst experience of my life. I waited for one and half hours to see the doctor for 5 minutes. The doctor a female spoke to me for five minutes and told me to come back for other procedures. When I left I seen a sign on the door that said lunch from 11:45 to 12:45. Then why did you schedule me for 11:30. The doctor was rude and addressed me as though I have no education. I left in tears and very disappointed. The staff was rude to elderly people coming in multiple times. I left and told the receptionist I would not be returning. Bristol TN

I had no idea what to expect when I was referred to Dermatology Associates for a cyst but I was well-pleased and impressed. They are very cautious during the current COVID situation and I appreciated that--lots of pertinent questions, a temperature check, and enforced distancing in the seating in the waiting room. My wait time was reasonable, about 15 minutes. The staff was friendly, the attending nurse thorough. Dr. Reid was wonderful, very quick and efficient in her diagnosis and treatment of the problem, yet she seemed genuinely interested in me as a person, not just a patient. Good job, everyone!

I would like to commend Dermatology Assoc of Kingsport for the manner in which my my appointment was scheduled, my experience in their office and the care I received. The appointment was easily scheduled with a simple phone call. Every person that I dealt with was very professional and helpful. The care that I received was excellent and each of my concerns was addresses quickly and effectively. I left with each concern addressed (Including proper medication and instruction for use).

It was very pleasant with the greeter at the door and I was quickly moved directly to the designated room. The NP explained the procedure and how I was to care for the removal of a skin cancer. She explained the cause and what I was to expect from the lab. Her assistant was also very friendly and informative. A great experience.

The physician does not take the time to listen to you or look at your skin. I was pushed to get accutane which is completely inappropriate for my issue. This is a very shameful and harmful practice. The assistant was way more helpful and caring than the physician.

Highest kudos and gratitude to Dr. Rash and all staff. From consultation, surgery, suture removal and follow up, this team has been excellent. Professional, skilled and very courteous!

Angela is my new hero! After going g to urgent care and seeing another doctor with no results I went to Dermatology associates in Kingsport and was given great care and attention. Angela was very focused in wanting to help me get to the bottom of a very ugly rash. Her attention to me and my hands was wonderful! After the office called to give me biopsy results the nurse spend 20 minutes on the phone with me explaining and answering any questions I had. Very patient with me. I would highly recommend Angela.

This is one of the most efficiently-run medical offices I have ever visited. When I arrived yesterday, there was a dedicated check-in person, who then directed me to the next person who made sure my insurance and contact information were up to date. I waited less than 5 minutes, and was called in to the exam room. The doctor and her assistant conducted the check and procedure quickly, and had me on my way. I don’t dread going to Dermatology Associates because I know they value my time.

My husband saw Dr.Homosky today. He has a hearing deficit and we told her. She continued to speak through her mask at a normal voice. He interrupted her and said he did not understand her. She yelled that was as loud as she could speak. Her technique for the injection was rushed and extremely painful for my husband. She injected the fluid extremely quickly and some of it shot out at me. Poor patient rapport. Question her ability. and is not a caring physician. This is not the first physician with this group that problems like this existed. To top this visit off,no one called a month later to give results of biopsy!!!

Going to the doctor is never totally pleasurable, but this as close as it gets. Checked in over the phone the day prior to the appt... checked in at the door with temp check and questions... appt was right on time, NP asked questions in the doctors office, then Dr Sago was there within minutes... very thorough, compassionate and incredibly professional. LOVE this doctor!

Everything was handled in an efficient manner, check in, co-pay and the attention given by Dr. Casey Watkins was suburb. Her analysis and treatment was superior. Our only concern was the wait. It was over an hour wait beyond our scheduled appointment time before we were called back to see Dr. Watkins. Other than that, the experience was top notch.

Went to get a mole checked out for my son. There was nothing done except for a consultation by a PA. We self pay. I was billed $132.00. Feel cheated. Will never be back.My husband saw an MD at the same practice. His MD spent more time, did biopsy on his mole and still billed him less. If you have to see someone make sure its an MD and pay ahead so they do not overbill you.

I was treated with respect and courtesy. More than that I had been diagnosed and given a treatment to correct my pre cancer. I was given options and explained in a manner I could understand.

The staff was friendly and professional, and was able to make my appointment the same day I called. I would have probably given them a a better rating, but when Dr. Carri HOMOKY came in to see me, she decided the way to correct how I was wearing my mask, was to immediately berate me in a hateful and disrespectful manner. Even though my mask covered my nose and mouth, in bad taste and judgement, threatened and intimidated me to the point I nearly had an anxiety attack and later broke down in tears. After I get my results, my next visit will be to another dermatologist! I have never been talked to by a doctor in this manner!! A very bad experience!! This doctor doesn’t need to work with patients!!

Male patients are not offered the same level of respect & privacy offered to female patients. That is a known fact that the healthcare system continues to choose to ignore. Their ignorance has caused thousands of men to have to make a choice. Continue to be embarrassed & humiliated, or walk away from needed healthcare. I asked our dermatologist why he does not hire male assistants and he said “Because women won’t tolerate them being present.”They recommend full skin exams but then think nothing of turning it into a spectator sport by bringing in 1 or 2 low level female staff members to watch the intimate parts of the exam, at least for male patients. It is as if they think the female staff being polite while they stare at the patient somehow makes it a professional interaction. Then they wonder why many men refuse the full skin exams or skip getting exams altogether.

The staff was very professional and knowledgeable, yet warm and comforting. Wait time was reasonably short. The way the office dealt with covid safety precautions was quite efficient and appreciated.

I got a quick appointment and had the most wonderful nurse and doctor take care of me. Both were outstanding care givers, gave me every consideration, answered my questions and were very courteous. The nurse even looked for samples of face wash to help my allergy. I am bad at remembering names but the Dr’s name was Reid and her nurse is the very best I have had in ages. If you need a dermatologist, I highly recommended this office. I am so sorry I can’t remember the nurse’s name!

Over the years I have been to this Dermatology. I actually prefer it over a couple of others Ive visited. Going in to check in is pretty fast even if there is people sitting there. It also helps if you can to fill out the paperwork on the computer before hand. I was able to be called back where they put me in a room, waiting to be seen. There was very little waiting in the front waiting room or waiting for the doctor. The one I seen seemed to get aggravated just a tad when asking for instructions until I understood them, she ended up writing them down. Im glad she did because of four different things I was going to be doing. Stopping a lot of things Ive done and was told was good. Overall, Im happy with there services. I even took my son to see one of the Dermatologist here, hes still doing great!

I received excellent and thorough care at Dermatology Associates. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The response time from the time I signed in until I was treated and could leave was very expedient. I waited in the waiting room less than 5 minutes and was treated in less than 20 or 25 minutes. My appointment was at 8:20 Am and I was out the door by 9:00 AM + - 5 minutes.

I arrived at 9:40 for a 9:50 appt., signed in, filled out paper work and waited until 10:20, I went to the receptionist and told her I had been waiting over 30 minutes. She checked on her computer and said I should be called soon. I think there was a mix up on calling me back but I finally was called around 10:30. However, once I was in an examination room I was seen by the doctor and treated fairly quickly. The assistant was helpful in calling in my prescriptions at the cheapest pharmacies.

This was my six months follow up after having Mohs surgery last summer. I had the total body check up and everything was fine. I was seen in a timely manner and my questions were answered. I have had basal cell skin cancer in my head as well as on the corner of my eye. I am very pleased with the results. The entire staff treats me with respect and does value my time.

Thirteen years ago, after suffering from psoriasis for most of my life, I took a step that would take me on a complete life changing journey. It took several years and many steps but I am bow psoriasis free. Yes, I still have to stay on a biological to remain clear. And there is an extra boon to this. My psoriatic arthritis is also tamed and no longer do I live with hands and wrists that were always painful and sometimes unusable. To work with a specialist whose skills and training are top rate and a patient advocate whose job is to broker with insurance and drug companies for affordable treatment has been close to miraculous for me.

First time patient. I got an appointment really quick. I would recommend the online registration if this is your first time, it makes the check in so much easier. It was a pleasurable experience, from check-in to chech-out. The Staff, Nurses, and Doctors were all excellent!!!

Joni Sago always does a very thorough job of checking for problems and solving the ones that she finds. I have real serious issues with very fair skin and so Joni has been very helpful for years. On top of that she was the one that identified the situation when my wife came down with acute myeloid leukemia the worst kind of Leukemia and in my opinion Joni finding that saved my wifes life
