This was my first time here and I think it will be my go to car repair shop. I had a check engine light and an oil change that needed to be done. They gave me times that would work for them and I scheduled the next available. I was checked in promptly, they started work right away (they didnt try to pack their schedule and make me wait) and returned the car quickly. Theyre fast, theyre good and theyre fair. You usually dont get all 3 of those in anything but these guys are the ones you want to go to if you want your car fixed right.

I took my vehicle to them with non-starting issues, telling them how the car was acting strange (dashboard would shutoff in the middle of driving, wipers turn on randomly, etc.). I told them a previous mechanic thought it was a ground issue. After having my car a week and telling them to call me before doing anything, I get a call that my vehicle is ready for pick up and all they did was replace the battery. So I go pick it up, pay for the battery, and the car does not start. In their parking lot. I leave it there, another week rolls around and they change the ignition switch. After picking it up, the same issues arise within two days, so I take it back a third time. After messing around with the car for an hour, the mechanic says looks like it might have a ground issue and offered to try to fix it, if he could have 3-4 weeks with it. Not a chance. No refund or discount was offered for the wasted parts on a battery or ignition switch.

D & H Automotive has been my trusted mechanic throughout my time in college! They’ve completed so many services for me and always go an extra mile to make sure all the details are taken care of and that I’m set up to be safe on the road. Very kind & caring staff! Very affordable. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Kirksville!

I don’t normally post reviews, but this one is worth it. I’m a college student and don’t have a lot of time, experience, or money, but the folks at D&H are always so patient and trustworthy. The head mechanic showed me on my car what needed to be done and why so I knew I wasn’t being cheated. I trust them to do good work for a good price, and that can be hard to find in a mechanic. 10/10 would recommend, and this is the only mechanic i’ll be using while I’m up at school.

I didnt think he would get the old Rodeo running. I was WRONG! I thought my vehicle was TOAST, and now its running better than it ever did! I was so wrong...AND DONT MIND. THIS shop is tops!

Cant say enough great things about these guys--they are very fair on prices, fix cars ethically and are really open about what your options are and what is affordable. I have 100% trust in them, and I get treated more like a daughter than a customer. I mentioned during an oil change I was traveling out of state on the weekend, and they immediately did a thorough check of everything in and out of the car to ensure Id be safe and ready to go on such a trip. Theyre also pretty good at working you in quickly if you need help.

Have known for over 20 years, and does great work and fair prices. Knows everything about vehicles!! Would highly recommend...wont go anywhere else.

Ive gone to D and H automotive for all my vehicle needs since we moved to Kirksville. They have provided top quality service every time. The first time I used their services was when I was purchasing a van. They looked it over and gave me their opinion of the van which I appreciated. I returned soon after to get an oil change for my new van and they suggested having my headlights cleaned as they were quite cloudy. Because of finances I chose not to but the next day when I returned to pick up my van they had cleaned my headlights free of charge. They also caught a problem in our car while doing an oil change that could have been dangerous for us if it hadnt been taken care of quickly. I recommend them to everyone
