We made drive with intent of buying prostar 214v that was posted day prior for sale. We confirmed upon coming from an hour and a half away that boat was available. We had all intentions of buying that day and bringing home. We made an offer and told salesman that we could increase our offer as we wanted the boat. It was fairly obvious that the salesman’s friend came in behind us and he had no intentions of selling us the boat. We offered to go above any other offers and we not allowed to place a higher offer even prior to offers being presented to the seller. Salesman told us there was nothing to do but go home and he would call us back. We reached back out at end of day and he told us seller accepted other offer. I would not allow them to sell your boat.

I wish there was a way to give both a 5 Star & 1 Star review. My 5 Star review would be for how I was treated before ABC delivered my boat. My 1 Star would be for how Ive been treated post payment.My almost 100K brand new boat came from the factory with a couple of issues (not ABCs fault) that need to be fixed. Its been 30 days since I took delivery & I let ABC know immediately about the issues. I called again yesterday & spoke to Kiersten. I expressed to Kiersten that I felt I have been more than patient & she told me she would get the repairs scheduled (been a month now) but that she was busy & would call me back within an hour. So far, 24 hours later, no call from anyone at ABC & my brand new boat still needs these items taken care of.

I picked up my boat from the American Boat Center service department for the last time yesterday. Several years ago I met the service manager at the Knoxville boat show. He was a sharp young man who really seemed to know his stuff. I began using ABC for winterization, maintenance, and service. For the first couple of years I was very pleased with the work of the techs as well as the customer service.Then, apparently a couple of years ago, there was a change of personnel in the service manager position. Customer service dropped off. Promises of return phone calls never led to action. The amount of time between scheduled drop off and the completion of work became longer and longer. This year the de-winterization, service, and tune-up took almost a month and the bill went up substantially. This years service cost me 238% more than last year at another marina.But the real kicker is the fact that when I got my boat home and put it in the lake, it doesn’t run properly so I’m without a boat until I can get a competent mechanic to look at it.Zero out of 5 stars.

After the latest repair experience I had with ABC I cannot recommend their service department. After having my boat for 4 weeks and after putting it in the water 3 times, you would think I would get my boat back with absolutely no issues. Not so. I discovered several issues, some related and some unrelated to the work they did. I called ABC about it and they told me to bring the boat back to them. But after all that time and money already spent, I did not have confidence in their work. So I took it to a different reputable mechanic to fix all issues. ABC should have noticed all these issues after taking the boat on the water and driving it around. However, they did not. The new mechanic also found some very important pieces missing from the boat that were supposed to have been fixed by ABC. I called ABC again about these things and all they could say is bring your boat back in and we will fix it. Well sorry but I have to pay someone else to put everything back together and fix your mistakes and more, find another way to make it right.

The parts department at American Boast Center is great! Caitlin and Steve over-nighted a Mastercraft fuel pump to me in Texas - this part is back ordered all over the US. Having the fuel pump will allow me to enjoy my boat during my Labor Day Army reunion! Thankful that ABC has a big inventory of Mastercraft parts.

I have a belief that this is a great company and I think they will sell you a great boat at a fair price. I had the unfortunate luck of working with a wells rep that has 3 days left at this facility.This review is specifically for that specific sales rep and the lack of a manager reaching out to hold him accountable. I would love to still close on the boat I selected, but the lack of accountable in sales has me cautious about the future accountability in service.As I read the reviews now, it sounds like you need to ask for Steve or Ryan.

Bought a used boat here. The buying process was ok. They said they found a problem during their check of the boat and needed to fix a couple things before we could do our check ride. So we waited for the checks and repair. Performed the check ride all was good. Bought the boat and it worked for less than 3 hours and has been in the shop almost since the day we got it. I’m not sure what “checks” they did but they must not have been extensive. We still sit without a boat because it’s in the shop again. All engine issues. Maybe ok place to buy a new boat but I wouldn’t trust them with repairs or used boats.

Dropped in while on vacation and had been looking at boats. These people were rude, condescending, and were as if me and my family were a “bother”. Felt like I needed to share my W2 or my savings account statement to be “treated” nicely. Good luck fellas I am sure you will be fine, but for sure I will not be buying from you. Everyone we dealt with at American Boat Center was fantastic, especially our salesman David Ramay and demo Capt. Jacob. David gave us all the time we needed to find the right boat for us and answered all our questions, he was very patient with us. We were in the process of closing on a new home, not wanting to jeopardize that David and the rest at ABC were extremely helpful and came up with a solution to hold our boat until we were able to close on our home. Ryan and his team were first class! Exceptional service and very knowledgeable about their products. We have been thinking about a new boat for several years and Ryan was very patient with us and always had a great attitude. From time in the show room to testing it on the water, we were very impressed. Were thrilled about our new Master Craft!

Service has been quick every time. Manager even charged us fairly for the second oil change, despite the prescribed charge, because it was much quicker than the book stated. Only (minor) complaint, the boat cover wasnt fully secured and came loose a few miles down the road on the way home. Were very satisfied customers!

I was instantly greeted when I walked up to the counter. They filled out my form for spring summarizing of my boat. When we got finished they offered to get someone from the back to help me disconnect it from my truck. But since it already had the tag from last fall I had disconnected it already. They are always great like that and it was finished just two days later.

Hit a log on Norris lake with our new Mastercraft the first day out. Brought it in on Saturday and they had all parts in stock and stayed late to get it done. Great service by Steve and crew they saved our vacation.

Even though Ive never bought a boat there, but lots of wake and boat gear, they always make me feel at home. Ryan is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. They have the best selection of lake toys, wakeboards and surf boards and accessories in the area.

AMERICAN BOAT CENTER Sea Ray was helpful. I had warranty work the last two seasons on my Sea Ray which I had purchased out of state. Steve, the service manager was great. They went to all the lengths to get the boat fixed for me despite having to get several parts.

Customer service combined with part availability is critical in today’s economy.Currently on my 2nd MastercraftCalled for a cooling hose and got some interesting comments...1. “We are extremely busy” (must have been the spring rush)2. “ Your boat is old, we don’t stock parts for old boats”. (9 years)3. “We need the serial # of your engine to determine the correct hose”. (really... the serial number? I’m a customer, aren’t I in the system?)4. “Then, with your serial number, we will have to call Indmar and they will not respond quickly, so, don’t expect quick response from us”(In other words, don’t expect much from us....)So, I apologized for bothering them and hung up.Good news: Indmar’s site was easy to navigate and I quickly found the part number. I called American Boat Center back prepred with the exact part number, they checked, and had it in stock. (Having stock for “old” boats is a good thing)its good to support local businesses, but I would not have hesitated to order it on line if American did not have it in stock.

I am in the process of purchasing our third MasterCraft. They are very well made boats that hold their value. Ryan and his team at ABC make purchasing a MasterCraft a breeze. They are friendly, knowledgeable and all around good people. It is a very laid back atmosphere and they do not pressure you. They have a state of the art facility that is easy to get to and they have all the boating accessories. Dont buy a boat until you check out ABC. You will be glad you did!

This place used to be good in the old days, now they just over charge you and dont fix the problem. They had my boat for 2 months and couldnt even figure out what was wrong with it. Took it to Osullivans in Loudon, he fixed it no problem and charged me half the amount....lots of better boat mechanics in the area!!!

This is the third time I have tried to get service from American Boat Center and every time I leave more and more frustrated. My first experience was just a simple oil change, the price was extremely high for the service and attention to detail that was given to my boat. It was given back to me with grease all over the seats and steering wheel. Maybe its just me but I expect my boat to be returned to me in the same condition it was given at the very least.My second experience was yet again another simple task, changing the impeller. The price was about average but they tried to take a short cut when removing the old impeller. They used a screw driver instead of a impeller puller to pry out the old impeller and ended up cracking the raw water pump. They then charged me for a new raw water pump that they broke and my boat was returned to me covered in grease again and some sort of oil spilled down one side. Very little attention and consideration.My third experience which led me to writing this review was the most simplest of task. I need a new temperature sensor and went over on a Tuesday to see if they had what I need in stock or if they could order one for me. I was quickly dismissed and said they could not help me without a engine serial number even though I had all of the other information for my boat/engine. Okay, I can understand that, Im not a mechanic so Ill get a serial number for you. I come back the next day with a serial number, picture of where the sensor is on the motor, and the part in hand. I pass on this information and they still are not able to help. . . on a simple part look up! They have shown that they are extensively useless at what they do in my mind.I will not be going back. If you ever are in need of boat repair my suggestion is to learn how to do it your self before taking it to this place. They charge to much for what you get. AVOID!!!

Always excellent service in ABC. Came in looking for PFDs and Tucker came right over and answered a bunch of questions, plus gave more information. I’ve had the opportunity to work with Ryan at ABC in the past and will always buy our boating related stuff there!

I have been a customer of American Boat Center since 2007. ABC provides superior service and quality products in comparison to other boat dealers In the Knoxville area! This past weekend I purchased my 6th boat from ABC and once again my family and I are extremely happy and satisfied with purchase and the experience! The new luxury line of Pontoon boats ‘Barletta’ was a great addition to their line up and we are proud new owners of a L25UC. I assure you this boat out performes the competition in quality, styling, and over all performance!

For weeks I attempted to work with their sales staff on the purchase of pre-owned boat that they were brokering. After several unreturned emails and phone calls, including an offer, I tried to contact the manager only to find out they sold the vessel that morning. As someone who was willing to pay at their asking price, I was very frustrated. If it was selling my boat, I would not use them. If I was looking to buy a boat, I would not look forward to working with their sales reps.
