I was not impressed. I know they need to make a profit, but they make extremely low ball offers on your merchandise- I was offered 38 dollars for 21 pairs of excellent condition name brand shoes. I declined their offer. I noticed others declining offers as well.The staff was very friendly. The store was clean and well organized. I just feel I can make more money elsewhere.

I live an hour away and took clothes on my day off. I called the store to confirm store hours and how the buying process works before driving to the store. Once I got there, I was informed that they couldn’t pay me that day and I’d have to come back another day to get paid if I didn’t want store credit. That would’ve been a very nice thing to have been told on the phone before making the trip. I then was told it would be an hour on my clothes, so I waited and called back an hour and a half later to see when they’d be done. They told me another 30-45 minutes. This has been a very frustrating experience as my whole day has been wasted to not even get paid and me having to make arrangements for someone else to come to Knoxville to pick up payment for me since I can’t possibly make it to Knoxville before they close after work.

I went to the store a few times and have had in general a good experience BUT .. I came 2 days ago to bring a Celine bag (which is pretty popular - less than Gucci and Louis Vuitton but still) and they couldnt find a price for it, so I offer to leave it overnight.. The next day I waited for 3 hours to finally get the text that they were done and when I went back, surprise! Their computer was not able to see the price? I am confused. How do you advertise that you buy designer bags BUT you have no idea of designer brands other than probably Louis Vuitton and Gucci?

Really nice consignment store. Friendly employees. We enjoy buying their lovely name brand clothing and items.God is good.

I paid over the phone for a pair of shoes. When I went to pick them up, I was in a hurry and did not try them on. Due to the wrong fit, I returned them unworn two days later only to find out that they do NOT give refunds on shoes. This was NOT communicated upon purchase of the item. I was told that I could sell the shoes back to the store for a fraction of what I had paid for them only days earlier. I politely exited the store with my “non-refundable” purchase. I also sent a message to the store manager via Instagram hoping that an exception would be made due to the circumstances. However, after several days I’ve received no response. This was my first and LAST experience with this company! Store policies should be clearly conveyed to new customers.

Not what they advertise. Its probable you will find better quality new items cheaper from T.J Maxs. Unless you want to spend $80-$100 on a used purse. The staff was not the least bit friendly. Or the one young lady that was working all alone behind the counter.

On October 8th at 3:30 pm, I called about a sweatshirt on line that was priced for $8, when I called and inquired about holding it, they said it was $20!!! When I asked why, the staff person said they mispriced it. I asked if they would honor the price and the manager said no, only if I purchased on line. When I asked why I would have to go online and purchase when my sister lived 5 minutes away and could pick it up, the manager hung up in my face!!!! They are rude and terrible and they refuse to honor their prices on line. Terrible customer service!!! Save your money!!

Liz at clothes mentor is absolutely AMAZING!!! They have a personal shopping experience for free where you fill out this survey about what youd like to wear, make an appointment, and then you come back for your appointment and they have a huge rack of clothes for you to choose from. Liz was encouraging, kind, and caring. She listened to what I wanted in my casual summer wardrobe, empathized with me when something really cute didnt fit, and kept me hydrated with water throughout the experience. Everyone was so sweet and the deals were amazing! Five stars and will definitely go again. Thanks!

Pleasantly surprised with this second hand store! Lots of selection to choose from for ladies. Very clean and tidy which makes it easy to navigate as a customer. The employees were super helpful and courteous. Items were priced at a reasonable level. Ill be back for sure!

This place is great! The staff is very friendly and the clothes and accessories are good quality and great prices! There are always new items, unlike a lot of local previously-loved shops. My mom always wants to stop by when she’s in town and I love stopping in here before grabbing groceries next door. Honestly, I might shop here a little too often, but with those prices... :)

This is a super hidden gem of a store. The sizes vary and the sales staff were all super friendly! The store was clean and well organized.

Friendly staff but I dont understand how they rate the clothing. I have tried to sell way nicer clothing than they have on the racks. I work retail and I know what sells. They must see it differently. But I would like to know know their standards because I feel like it is a waste of my time.

This place is not knowledgeable with high end fashion designers!!! Other than the obvious brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton ect..but other more expensive designers they will not know. I brought to them a pair of genuine suede boots brand new that were sold out on several sites online with a retail of $875new $550used, for an offer to sale and was insulted by an offer of $8!!! so dont waste your time this place cannot afford the designer brands!

Would give them 0 stars if possible. They advertise one thing then do another. I took in very high end items....Fendi Chanel Bottega Chloe etc to sale. I waited FOREVER. Then they had the gall to try to buy a never carried Fendi bag a Chloe Paddington a never worn pair of Coach shoes Prada loafers Burberry wellies and Judith Leiber sunglasses in the case and original box among a couple other items for $180. If you want your high end items taken from you for nothing this is the place to go. My Chanel shoes Burberry coat Ralph Lauren jackets Fendi doctor bag Kate Spade items and Manolos werent what they were looking for....ladies do yourself a favor when you get ready to sale you high end items stick to Poshmark and ebay.

Waste of a good Saturday afteroon, wish Id read the reviews prior to going. Goodwill with a few worn designer bags.

My girlfriend absolutely loves this store. Anytime we are in that part of Knoxville, we are making a side trip to here. The staff always seems kind and welcoming. And they definitely have an elcletic mix of items for sale.

Really liked this place! First time in and everyone was very pleasant and helpful. The clothes are organized and the store in clean and neat. I havent sold anything to them yet, but I plan to soon. Not sure why people (competitors?) have left 1-star reviews and no comments...not helpful at all. Id ignore them and give Clothes Mentor a try!

I went and they turned me away because I was under 18, which I understand except for the fact that my friend who is YOUNGER than me went there a few days prior and they took her clothing. The store seems very preppy and the staff was slightly rude when they turned me down. I do not recommend.

I dropped off a few higher end items off at this store today. It did not matter if the store could use them, I just thought I would try it out. The clerk said it would be more then two hours till she could look at the items and that she would text me. I told her I was unsure if I could come back today but could swing by tomorrow and pick up any items that the store passed on. The clerk looked irritated and said We prefer you to pick up your items on the same day I told her to text me and if I was still in the area I would come back by and pick up; any items they did not want. While I was looking at other items in the store, another customer came in. She was told the wait time was less than an hour. This customer said she could not stop back by today to pick up any unused items. The clerk gave this customer a nice smile and said No problem . In other words, I was not responded to courteously and the next customer got both better courtesy and more favorable responses. There is no reason for this, When I was texted later, I was in the area and came back. I was in line behind another customer and waited patiently.There was another customer that came up behind me and another clerk said May I help you ? and ignored that I was next in line. There is no reason for this, I was courteous and there was no reason for me to have this kind of experience. I declined to wait in line, left the items there and will not be back. I went on to shop at other stores today where I was treated courteously.

Wonderful, the kindest most respectful staff. Pleasant, helpful and courteous.

Showed up to sell a Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag. Drove 2 hrs to get there, arrived at 7:05 just for them to say, you have to be here an hour before they close at 8. It was 5 mins after. Wow.

The idea is a good one for this store. Only name brand clothing at reasonable prices. But this is not actually what is in the store. I visited today to sell (and buy) clothing. I brought clothes from Talbots, Chicos, Christopher and Banks, Loft, etc. to sell. Some were brand new and had never been worn, still having the tags on them. They were bought within the last couple of years, so they were current fashions. The only thing the young girls working there wanted was a Talbots black and white wool vest that I actually bought at a garage sale 5 years ago! I was told they were not current (totally not true). While shopping, I saw brands such as Sonoma, Old Navy, etc. These are NOT high end labels. I cannot figure out this store. What they buy and what they sell. It does not live up to its billing. I will not be returning.

I got a Vera Bradley cross-body (messenger style) bag for $18 and a Burberry scarf for $4. Sadly, they only take items from the last 2 years regardless of condition or classic style.
