A truck stop with no breakfast at 6:15am. All you get is one star. Great for parking only.

It’s a shame that you drive a truck for a living and you stop for a nice shower and dinner but you can’t eat because they close early. Hire some help. Us drivers work all different hrs and deserve to be able to eat

Used to be the best place to stop in Knoxville. Restaurant closed now and Friday and Saturday which are the best money making days for a Restaurant. Mold in the shower and hair all over the toilet, sink and shower walls. Place is really starting to fall.

Kathy the Manager was very sweet she took our order cooked the eggs to our perfection. The food and service was amazing. Thank you Kathy for everything.

Everytime you call the shop its a 5-6 hr wait for a simple oil change if youre lucky and now Ive just discovered iron skillet no longer has a buffet 😦 Im done with petro travel stops, the iron skillet salad bar was one of the best parts of the truck stop.

I love this truck stop because it is a clean restrooms, great Service at the restaurant and plenty of parking for trucks and cars.I recommend to any one that wants to stop at this location. Great! Great!

Too much of the lot is dedicated to reserved parking. Truckers shoulsnt have to pay for parking under any circumstance. Yoy sgould be ashamed for wasting more space than other stops would.

Been driving for years. Stopped here for dinner. Ordered the 1lb Steerburger w/ Baked Potato. This is the 3rd Petro Ive ordered the same item(s) over the past couple months. Here was the absolute worst experience. Let me start with the waitress that couldnt seem to stay off of her phone more than 3 minutes every time she walked behind the partition. The same waitress that never acknowledged me although I was clearly in her section. Had it not been for the other waitress that seated me, I wouldve received no service. The food was bland, at best. I couldnt put enough salt and pepper on the food to give it any flavor at all. The steerburger was not cooked as I requested. The bread was greasy. Im not going to make a scene. Fortunately, I was paying for half my meal with points, that way at least I dont feel like it was a total loss. The onions werent sauteed on the steerburger. They were raw slices with thick, pudding like gravy poured over the top. They serve my meal on the same size plate my salad came on. So, Im trying to cut and eat and Ive got food spilling over the edge of my plate onto the tabletop. I keep using napkins to clean up the spillage. The cooks are laughing and joking on the grill line. Theyre obviously not taking their work seriously. Im at the point now, I just dont care. I ate half my meal, paid, and walked out. You know, I dont get it. These essential workers demand $15/hr, but, their service they provide doesnt justify it. Or, do they think they deserve it for just showing up? Lousy. Very disappointed. Based on this visit, in the future, Ill just go elsewhere. These kids have no idea what theyre doing. Sad. Pathetic, actually.

Well, buffet is great! Ate here few times, always hot and fresh. Petro TS, its time to upgrade this location, showers very small and very old, I mean its nasty, needing total remodel. Look at the Loves showers.

Well we walked in to have dinner at 855pm after trucking all day n sitting in a back up n soaking wet from the rain only to have the waitress put a chain across entrance to say closed as we was coming thru the entrance doors on my wifes bday. Just wanted a sit down meal instead of fast food. Highly disappointed!!!

Restaurant is now closed Fri & Sat. This company no longer cares about its core custoners.

Very disappointing my meal for the day was the worst ever! I ordered 2 scrambled eggs with American cheese and a hamburger patty not hard to screw that up! Well the box it came in was flooded in oil! Not Hamburger grease but oil! 2 napkins to wipe it up....needless to say I got it to go so didnt know about it till I was down the road it was the worst! On the flip side the gals taking the order were great

Dinner at Iron skillet was mediocre at best and service was not good either. My order was not correct and had to ask for multiple things including my soup appetizer after my meal arrived!! I’ll hope my next trip through here it will be better. everyone has off days!

What can you say ? This place, is classic. ALL YOU CAN EAT ! ( plus, a usual menu ). Predictable, inexpensive, and a complete Americana menu....plus, fudge. Specials, on every major holiday, Saturday and Sunday brunch. They know what theyre doing, they do all the American Classics well. Ham, sliced prime rib, chicken.... It varies on the day of the week. Fridays, all you can eat fish. Collard greens, stewed cabbage, green beans, corn. Wholesome, All American, comfort food, served up with consistency, and Hometown welcome. Always a broad array, of obscenely decadent desserts. Old-School, waitresses.... Patient, Pleasant, Professional, with an understanding ear, to all. Everything you would want, with a Roadhouse Diner. Excellent.

Nice and clean, well maintained . Waitress very friendly and accommodating. I only had a coffee, it was absolutely decisions. Hot, Fresh, and a nice mild but yet strong brewed coffee. Creamers REAL creamers, the ones that must be refrigerated. As, they new they served in a to-go cup.

Good food, great shop. They made a mistake, but they corrected it very quickly. Today the shop here saved me, hit a small alligator and it broke a fitting off an air tank. On road got me going. They are great!

7pm and the restaurant is already closed. Maybe they could climb off the pile of daily cash for paid parking and pay staff to run the restaurant.

Always have the best time here on a 10 hr break but apparently this night Bill was scolding a younger employee and was not paying attention to the customers, me and two other driver, who stood there patiently waiting almost 5 minutes as he worked at the coffee station correcting the younger employees mistake. Also, he proceeded to give poor customer service upon helping us afterwards.

Iron skillet was a good place to get breakfast. Meat lovers omelet with hashrounds and 2 hot cakes was more than I could eat. Good prices and good service. Lorie was friendly and took good care of us. We would stop here again.

Plenty of parking spaces had no problem parking our RV... truck drivers were very friendly.. Petro Associates were very respectful and friendly... food was delicious... clean restrooms !!!! GOD BLESS YALL🙏

Came In to get one steer tire put on . Checked in was told it would be 2.5 hrs wait . Long story short Im still here but now I have someone working on my tire after 5hrs later. And nope there where not that busy. I will never come back to this location again for work done on my truck.....

My review is solely upon the travel store. What do you get when you cross a gas station with atoys r us? A Petro convenient store. All the candy and toys any child would want. All the beer a local could drink but as a driver looking to refill his cab with this and that..... nope. Once upon a time a driver could stop here and buy what he/she needed but now its all about what they want you to have. AWESOME RESTAURANT!!!!

My husband and I went in to take shower Stanley attendant of shower came to us and wouldn’t let us take shower that was giving to us he put us in the biggest shower and gave extra of everything. He was amazing. We had had one of those weeks that make you feel like you don’t want to go on trucking and him and the gentleman that works for reservations on parking made our troubles all week remind us why we are out here trucking. Two amazing men turned my week from wanting tears to smiling when I walked out of petro

Whom ever manages the fuel isle store should be fired. The nastiest bathroom i have seen in awhile. I hade to go up to the main building

This place and the people are absolutely amazing here. Especially Mr. Stanley. He made the visit so pleasant and was so helpful with everything. Showers and store were very clean and well kept. Definitely the place to stop if your out on the road just for the kind hospitality. Thank you Mr. Stanley for being so great.

Park in a wrong way, it is difficult to park a truck

The guy at the register didnt talk at all... it was quite awkward. The toppings for nachos were absent and their selection for hot food was scarce, compared to other truck stops in the area. Other than that, its a great place to park and rest for the evening. There is a restaurant at this location as well as little gift shop items.

Reserved a spot specifically because of the Iron skillet only to get here and find out TA/Petro in their infinite wisdom think its a great idea to closed it at 9pm🤦‍♂️ walked across the street to the TA and they had closed everything to, TA/Petro wonders why they are Hemorrhaging money, alot of us drivers stop at these places even running late into the night paying for a spot just for the diner. Smh

The small fuel island store has very rude cashiers.

My favorite place to stop when coming to the Knoxville area.. always find a parking spot, the store has a big variety of drinks snacks, iron skillet always good shower 13 is kind of small need an update but dont see it in the future but does the job.. thanks to the cleaning guy.

Huge pile of debris lying in the middle of the parking lot... it’s blocking up traffic and several parking spots... this needs to be dealt with quick fast and in a hurry

There is plenty of parking here for big trucks, and that is always a plus. On the other hand, there may be a reason for that. My husband and I decided to take a shower here because we had a lot of time on the load we were under. The showers were very small, and not updated at all. They may have been clean enough, but it looked like the tiles had been neglected for a long time. After we managed to get around each other in the shower, we decided to have some dinner. The restaurant was clean. And while the staff was friendly enough, they were far from efficient. An order of chicken strips and an order of toast in a mostly empty establishment took over half an hour to get to our table. They had all ready taken the soups down from the soup and salad bar. I thought soup came with soup and salad, but what do I know. Also, there was a machine that kept sounding an alarm that no one seemed to know how to turn off, service or unplug.

Clean store and huge parking lot. Hot showers. Good food.

Well. This week ends third shift at Iron Skillet.Just another nail in the coffin known as Truck Stops that serve the trucking community.I realize it slows down at night. Not everybody runs a Solar Powered Truck. Five Stars are for the nice people who will be losing out on this deal.Zero Stars for Corporate who continue Down the path towards Pilot Flying J.

Usually a pretty good place guess today was a miss and I’m referring to Iron Skillet sat down at a table around a group of people that way I would be in sight of server since it’s self seating she walked by twice looked straight at me didn’t say anything. After she finally took my drink order i was just going to get soup & salad bar the lettuce looked as if it were pulled out of the garbage I just walked out Hopefully it is better next time I come through this is the first bad experience I’ve had here.

Probably the friendliest Petro Ive been too in a long time. Everybody was helpful. Ate at the Iron Skillet Restaurant and enjoyed my meal. My shower was clean and there was plenty of water pressure

A lot of services available. Clean and well stocked. Restaurant is decent and staff are pleasant. I stop in often. Downside is management has decided to make ALL the parking close to main building RESERVED.

I would give this no stars for their customer service when relating to reserved parking. The attendant in the store was not helpful at all. I arrived late and there was no reserved spots available. I had already paid and asked to see the manager. I was told they would be out in 25-30 minutes. NOT ACCEPTABLE. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. They were quick to take my money but no help at all tonight.

Spent $437 to get my truck fixed. Cant get a measly shower. Spend $14 to get a shower and the shower is dirty. Floors not swept. Scum on the outside of the shower door. Shower floor dirty. The best part about this place is the truck shop. Those mechanics know what they are doing. Only reason I stop here. Get with it Knoxville Petro.

Old building needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Very sad I have been to far better Petro truck stops.

Very clean and organized with the supplies. Bathrooms were very clean and welcoming, complete with fresh flowers. Showers were on schedule. There were even large plushy recliners for people to relax in. The people operating this facility were very nice and professional.

The iron skillet is very good in here. They are quick and the salad bar was very fresh. Friendly staff in the store side too.

Good little stop with decent parking andfood at a reasonable price. Service is freandy and great too! Some minor construction going on right now though.

My wife and I are team truck drivers so we share a shower. The shower was so small both of us barely fit. The restaurant closed the buffet early did not put out a breakfast buffet ended up ordering chicken tenders. Took FOREVER. The only pleasant thing about this Petro was our waitress. She was a super nice older lady.

Nice facility and great staff. Had the lunch buffet and it was really good food. Its been a long while since eating at an iron skillet and it was sure nice to see it. So many of the truck stop chains have franchised the food to the fast food rat race. Overall a nice stop.

Older but clean location before downtown Knoxville. Lots of parking, but arrive before 7pm as TA and Flying J (across the street) will fill quickly. Small clean shower stalls in need of remodel. Decent water pressure.

The cafe closes at 9.00PM . & the help doesnt even say there sorry for out inconvenience. They lady in the convenience store wasnt happy bout it either .

Im always there late at night. Store is always clean n well stocked. Bathrooms too. Coffee is fresh. The ppl are friendly n polite. What else can one need, besides someone else to pay for everything...lol

Illegally parked along the back upper wall, they do it every night and one spot was left here at almost 1:00 in the morning. Most of the time you can get lucky and get a spot in here.

They try to say they are here for drivers but they closed iron skillet cant even order to go. It is dark and totally shut down. But they damn sure keep uping the price on payed parking. And oil is at the lowest has been in a long time but diesel is $0.70 more per gallon then gas. Gotta keep that profit margin up.

Driver service so so at best! Had to go to a different truck stop to print bill that were emailed to me if L---- will do this for drivers then Petro should. And also shower credit only 7 days and they are taken sorry I thought drivers first I see not..

Iron skillet restaurant was really good, my husband & I both got a chicken sandwich that we liked. If you are traveling & need a hot shower the ones here are really HOT.

This is a great place to stop and fuel up on your trip. There is a HD selection of food choices that Id great when everyone cant decide on one place to eat. The bathrooms were fairly clean. The people working there were prepared for a bus group and very helpful in making the checkout process quick. Lots of space to sit and eat.

Where do I start?? Both the Mens and Womans restrooms are discussing... Lets not forget about the cashier in the store argued with me when I told him a drink was 2/$4. When I prove it to him he became snotty because he owed me $0.80. The parking lot is nice size, however the building is small for a Petro.

Iron skillet buffet was wonderful. Salad bar had a great selection of veggies, toppings and dressing. Hot bar was good, but the made from scratch collard greens and JUICY mouth watering fried chicken breast was comfort food heaven!

Nice restaurant all you can eat fish Fridays for 13 bucks. Drivers lounge is nice the show movies rather than tv and law and order like most truck stops. Staff very friendly. Clean showers and laundry facilities. One of the better truck stops out there

Parking lot was huge. Plenty of open parking spots late night. Went to the fuel island/truck store and got some food. Lisa working the food part is such a sweetie! Made us fresh potatoes and was very friendly! Definitely recommend coming in and getting some nice hot food after a long day of driving! Thank you so much

Staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. My elderly mothers car died in their parking lot and they harassed her because it was in front of one of the pumps, but there were no other customers or lines at any of the pumps... Even after she assured them that she was waiting on a tow truck, and had made several purchases from the store.

Petro is a great place to sit relax eat from their full menu and shoot the breeze with your fellow drivers

This store is easily accessible from the interstate. There employees are friendly and knowledgeable about their products and services. I was well pleased with the visit I made and I will be back to make another visit.

Terrible employees, terrible selection, rude.

The one star is for the service and repair shop only, called ahead around noon for simple oil change. Made appointment for 3 p.m. Arrived at 2 . 40 and was promptly told it would be an hour wait but to put truck in line at door 3.At 4 p.m. I ask if they were going to start on my truck and was told another 20 minutes to which my reply was void my ticket.I proceeded to another provider down the hill who got me in after 15 minutes and had the job finished in under an hour with no appointment.My opinion is the shop needs some attention from supervision before they loose too many more customers.

7:25 in morning. No coffee,no cups,cashier sitting in backroom. Customer waiting on cashier instead of cashier waiting on customer. No employees wearing mask

Small Petro CB shop and knife shop are closed on the weekend and take up a lot of space. There is no drivers lounge, only a ragged theater. This is a very old location and needs updating badly. The restaurant, have a small buffet and is slow. The people are nice for the most part.

Lunch buffet was truly awesome. The restrooms were very clean as always. If parking is available this one establishment that I visit as frequently as possible
