Had a bad experience with a return (was not originally informed of 20% restocking fee at purchase location). Saw was unused—return was because we discovered it didn’t come with a blade after we opened it at the job site. This location was closer to our house.Manager was apathetic. Decided that explaining to the manager at purchase location may be the better solution. Cashier told me the only way to do this at that point was to purchase the saw again (add 20% more of our money?) and then try taking it back to the other location—who she assured me wouldn’t refund the fee, either. This made no logical sense. I took the refund—minus $14 for a $70 purchase.Don’t know if this is an isolated incident that was just handled badly, but also filed with the Better Business Bureau.Update 11/8/21: Better Business Bureau is following up on this and similar instances at the corporate level. We’re still out the $14, and Harbor Freight lost our business from that point. (This originally happened about three months ago. Google posts updates as if the review is made that day.)

Just want to brag on this company for its wonderful inverter generator. Its competitive with the Honda which is a wonderful device but half the price. Its actually shocking that they have a device available that is so well made that it competes against the top offering in that category. Also they have lots of good RV stuff if youre an RV owner like myself. They have many things you cant find at Lowes or home Depot and the people there were pretty helpful. It was really busy because Im sure the local community has figured out that this is a good option. Make sure you look online or get their app for real savings because sometimes they offer great deals. Im not crazy about the location because its so busy in the North Broadway Halls area but if you have one near you stop by a harbor freight and check it out You will be surprised.

I enjoy shopping at harbor freight however unfortunately some of the managers are rude and dont appreciate their customers. The sales associates and stockers have better customer service than some of the managers at this location. A few of the managers should be required to improve their customer service skills inorder to keep their current positions.

Love this place. So many folks wont buy here with the belief that their products are inferior. Sorry, but the price attracts me to some of the best product for dollar I can find. I spend at least a thousand a year on their products without worry of life expectancy. Seldom have I believed I did not get my value for dollars spent. Ill shop there again anytime for nearly anything!

So its been on the list to pick up a few things and we went to fountain city.. clean,, neat,, stocked,, orderly, friendly staff,, and I picked up my list and a couple of add ons from the digital store shopping.. all I have works great,, and I have some new light to try out.. 7.99 plus tax for a solar spot light beside the front steps...???....we will see. A $15 solar light at the shed door...????....let you know soon

Always have a good trip in here. Had to break down and be part of the track club because we frequent it so often so far that has paid off marvelously. They have good quality tools and equipment at pretty good prices. However, check around and compare where you are compared to how far from harbor freight you’re at, I’ve found some things cheaper at our local hardware or Lowe’s just due to time and gas.

I am beginning to understand why ordering on the internet has become so popular these days. I stopped at the Broadway Knoxville location Harbor freight store hoping to get a drill press i was needing, after trying and trying to get help I found one employee that would answer my question which was ( how do I find out if this is in stock, do I carry this tag to the front so they can scan it ? Or whats the process?) The girl says yes . So I wait at the front to see the only person there which is a tall chubby man with a camouflage face covering and the personality of a rock.He says he has 3 in stock, and by the way you need to take that tag back where you got it. You shouldnt have brought to the front in the first place and i dont need you people carrying things around the store and not putting them back . It makes my job more difficult.So I went home without the drill press and ordered one from Amazon.And by the way Harbor Freight you dont need my phone number just to ring something up at your store.

Super sad to have had a bad experience here because I love Harbor Freight! Want to share for anyone being actively careful during the Pandemic. An actively sick (and coughing) employee was working at the cash register, and pulling down his mask to talk about how he refused to get a Covid test.

I usually have great service at Harbor Freight stores - not this one. Visited this store twice. I thought maybe the first time was a bad day but it was confirmed on the second visit today. The two employees in the checkout area decided that their critique of a house for sale on Zillow was more important than checking out customers. Poor condition of the store, it is easy to spot a poorly managed operation and this is it. Today, more of the same. Not going to give these guys a third chance, on to Northern Tool.

Busy store with good prices. Customers were backed up down two aisles but the cashiers worked as fast as they could. Staff was nice.

Very helpful staff, even saw an employee who was on his way out help another customer. He couldve just walked off saying, my shift is over, Im outta here., But no, he stopped and assisted her.

The staff here have always been extremely helpful and friendly. When making purchases I always do research on the items I intend to purchase and I have always found what I went to purchase. One negative aspect, that has happened a few times, is that the pricing of items posted on their stores website can sometimes differ from the prices in the store. I have found that you have to ensure that there arent any coupons applied to the item online, if there has been a coupon applied be sure to download the coupon or item description and take with you to the store and they will honor the price. This location can be very busy at times and you may have to wait in line, but usually not too long. Even though this store is known for cheaper quality tools, I have found for the most part they last just as long as name brand at a much lower price. I highly recommend you do research on the product you are buying and read reviews to ensure you are getting a quality product at an exceptional price

My question about the item was answered prior to making my purchase.

If I could’ve given it zero stars I would have. I spent 5 minutes simply looking for a box of nails. I asked two employees and a manager as well for help finding a box of nails. They just pointed me away to find them. When I asked the manager to help me he said they are right there and walked away. One girl passed me twice as I studied all of the different options that I did not need. I will never be back here. Maybe have your people lay off the left handed cigarettes next time and they will be more helpful to your guests.

Every time I go here the cashier is always nice and does her best to help others no matter how busy she is the prices are great I will recommend this place to everyone!!!!!

It has so many tools to choose from ! Theres also a lot of cool things that I realized I could get that would come in handy... One of those grabber things to get something from the top shelf. Tent poles. Its fun to look because the prices are so cheap.I dont like one of the dark haired cashiers though. She doesnt want to be bothered with too much customer service. Lol. And she has the idea that she smarter than others..... But its a great way to set up your garage with reasonable proceed tools!

Needed a 1/4” small torque wrench and this place always has what I need for a cheap price. It’s not a Snap-on quality tool but it does the job well enough.

Harbor freight is cheaply made tools. I had to buy some tools for a project that I probably will never use again and if they break Im out $15 instead of $60 for an angle grinder. I used said angle grinder with a cup brush to remove some rust in 15 minutes of stop and go use the body of the tool started to smoke and I could barely touch the case. It will be returned.If you see something online the store probably will be 40% chance of having it in stock. An example of this is a wire brush set thats $10 the brushes by themselves are $13 to $20 the set has not been on the shelves in over a month.If you are looking for handyman used 2 or 3 times a year sparingly, thats the quality of tools here. So a first time home buyer can put together a plumbing, basic screwdrivers and odds and ends tool set for probably less than $100 if everything on sale.Overall its cheaper to buy the tool youll use 3 times then put in a box and forget about.

I bought a tape measure here. It broke the 1st day I used it, wouldnt retract. I havent had a chance to return it til today. Apparently the lifetime warranty was only good for 90 days. Ive spent a lot of money here and this was the first thing Ive ever tried to return. Go to Northern Tool instead. Better service, similar prices, nicer employees.

Overall, good place to go. This specific HF location needs to do some work on inventory management and inventory training for their staff. Have had several issues related to that. However, the staff is nice and helpful when they can.

Have purchased tools and accessories from Harbor Freight for numerous years and still using most. Function and durability has been on par with tools of major brands costing much more.

This review is for my online experience with Harbor freight. I ordered a dust collector 4 weeks ago. I have contacted customer service 3 times. They have told me that they will try to stop the shipment of my order. I havent been to one way or the other. This is terrible customer service. Ive emailed twice since then to ask and they will not return my emails. I dont know if its coming or not.
