My family has had an AWFUL experience with this company & the manufacture Buccaneer homes who built our house. Please try another company when considering your home and the future of your family. The commutation is very lacking from the sales team right down to the service team. There is no attention to detail when the homes arrive from the factory. We did not get a walk through and no one would let us know how the process was suppose to go. We now have a complete mess of a house. We have lived in the home 72 hours and cabinet doors are falling off, knobs are missing and the biggest issue was a water leak that left my kitchen in a flood. My beautiful home will never be new to me after seeing what has happen when holes are drilled into walls to dry out water. I am completely heartbroken over the lack of care for my family and home from Preferred Living. There has not been no phone call today to even see how things are going with the home. A complete lack of care towards their costumers. Please do not use this company when you are looking into a new home for your family.
I went in looking for a forever home and found just that! All of the work staff was super helpful and knowledgeable about their homes! They were able to help with the financial part and do whatever I need to get the home I loved! I will always send everyone here to buy a home!
Mike Huskey has been great to work with! Everything he said about price, and any decisions about my home were dead on. Im please with the service and the exceptional help we got from him. I would recommend him to all my friends looking to purchase a home.
Great experience with Mike Huxley. He answered all our questions and never failed to keep us updated on the buying process. I would definitely recommend Perferred Living and Mike to anyone looking to make a home buy.
I want to thank Mike Husky & his team for everything. Thank Leeann & Tony & their team . Plus 21st Morg. They are wonderful people and easy to deal with. Im very blessed to have these people to help our family purchase our home. Thanks again & God bless yallApril Jones & Family
The subcontractors that these people use are not very professional. The stucco guyThey hadWas not worth paying forAnd I had to wind up painting it myself to get the color right. Paid $5000 for landclearing and they left the tree debris for me to deal with. The trim guys stink at their job. Would never recommend them to anyone else.
I visited here in search of a new home after my home burned down. The homes are absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed looking at each one. The salesman was very friendly, helpful and upfront about the cost of each home with set-up. I was a little surprised at the actual cost for each home after everything was included but I appreciated him telling me the truth. Im still looking for a new home and this place is still at the top of my list. If your looking for your next forever home I definitely recommend you stop by Preferred Living Homes!
Good, hard working people here.
How do we contact the owner of this business. We have a very disheartening story we need to discuss. I am sickened by how one of his customers was treated, and I bet the owner has no clue what is going on in his company. We dont want a salesperson or an office manager - this is a serious issue.
I definitely feel that Robert, Tim and the contracting crews did an amazing job for the price. Now, I would recommend laying out great detail for your deck or just having your own contractor do your deck(This is constructive criticism and my expectations weren’t realistic for the price, but everything is still good.) Ours is up to code, but it ain’t pretty. We got the lullabelle and for everything they did to our property, septic, electric, it was a steal. Only extra cost to us was that our county required a building permit and septic permit. Everything else was included into total price. Anything that wasn’t done correctly or needed tweaking, they were excellent about getting someone out to help. There were things they did for us that they probably weren’t even required to do. Thank you for making out buying experience so great! My advice to potential home buyers? Check your county to see what type of permits will be out of pocket cost for you, hire your own deck builder, unless you’re okay with bare minimum, everything you request, write it down on the floor plan, be specific. Ask tons of questions because there were options I didn’t realize we had like buccaneer would increase our roof pitch etc. Be patient, it isn’t a quick process and weather is a big factor, wait at least 6 months to a year to post your review. Things will come up that are frustrating, but you need to keep realistic expectations. I’m completely satisfied with the dealer Preferred Living off of Clinton’s hwy and buccaneer homes which manufactured our home. We had initially checked with Clayton and I’ll just be upfront, they are pricier period. Good luck.
We are early in the home buying process still a few months out from wanting to pull the plug on purchasing, we visited preferred living in the morning on our first stop of many home centers to get started to see what we like and Charles at preferred living was so helpful to answer any questions we had. We went to 6 different centers around town and the attention he showed us was unbeatable! When we get ready to finally purchase we are definitely going back to see Charles!
We went here to look for a home and applied for financing the same day and got approved. The prices were extremely high so we looked at other local dealers to comparison shop before deciding, we found the same model home we wanted for literally half the price at Oakwood so we decided not to go further with Preferred, so without our knowledge or consent, the salesman retaliated by contacting Cascade bank and terminated our loan application after they had already ran our credit and preapproved us for financing which negatively impacted our credit score when they had to rerun everything again after our first application was fraudulently cancelled using our personal information! Thats extremely shady and unprofessional, so I cannot in good conscience recommend this business to anyone.
My home was just recently finished by Preferred Living Home’s and I have to say we had a wonderful experience dealing with these guys! We tried dealing with Clayton Homes first before we found Preferred Living and it was a night and day difference between the 2. Robert was easy to deal with and we got everything we wanted and then some. I would go back and deal with Robert and preferred living 10 times over before I would try dealing with Clayton Homes or anyone else. Picking out the home was easy. Getting the loan was easy. (We had 6 or 7 different loan options to choose from) Once we chose the home and our loan option they had our home complete in just over a month from the time they started excavation until they handed me my keys. Like I said, We had a great experience dealing with Robert and Preferred Living and we would use them again in a heartbeat before we dealt with anyone else!
I recommend Preferred Living! Mikey Huskey took amazing care of us and helped us with all our needs. He went above and beyond! Thank you Mike for all you did to get us in our beautiful home.
***Update: We have been in our home for over a year now. We still love our home and our neighborhood! It isnt perfect! There has definitely been some issues. We have had two leaks under the house, one of the leaks caused mold in a bathroom, ceiling has hairline cracks in living room all the way across and in one closet, master bathroom sinks takes several minutes and way too many gallons of water to even get warm (professional plumber told me it would cost thousands to fix it), yard floods everytime it rains, and several cosmetic issues that were overlooked. I have not been impressed with the exchanges we have had with Preferred Living since the purchase of our home. One of the companies that provides their repair work does subpar work. We refuse to use him again! Which has had us have to wait months on end for repairs. In fact, we have been waiting over 7 months for one!! There has also been several issues with other subcontractors that they used to put up neighboring houses (urinating out in the open, in plain sight of children; using electricity without permission; leaving dozens of nails and screws all over the road; leaving litter all over the road and on the properties). It has not been a pleasant experience dealing with Preferred Living since the purchase of our home!Buying a home can be a very stressful process! However, we were fortunate enough to work with an amazing team, Mike, Leann, Tony, and a few others, that helped make the process smoother. The construction team worked quickly and had our home done several weeks before we anticipated for it to be done. Any issues we had were resolved. The team exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to provide us with a beautiful home.
Did everything great and fixed anything that need to be fixed asap. Great service. Would buy other if I can lol
Beautiful homes. Great deals. Ask for Tim.
Really nice people I would recommend him to anybody if you need a new home go see preferred mobile homes Mike was super great thank you so much
Fabulous doublewides
I wasted two months with these people the office manager isn’t in the office long enough to get anything done two months into the run around the mortgage company was calling us saying they still haven’t received anything from Preferred living. I ended up leaving them and going to Clayton Homes on Asheville hwy those guy had everything done and my home ordered very quickly
Worst buying experience I have ever had! Agreements not kept. Charged for things I didnt need, and didnt get things that were needed. The whole buying process was drug out over months! Communication was pathetic! Still waiting on repairs that were supposed to be done. I would give negative stars if that was an option!
I whole heartedly do not recommend this company to you. I would hate for you to be treated the way we have. First let me say, the people who work here are very nice. They sound good and make you lots of promises. Ones they do not keep. I only gave them a star because I had to. We were told we would be in between houses for a week to a week and a half. We were without a home for 67 days. When we finally got our home, our decks were done wrong and almost did not pass the health inspection. It has been 3 weeks and they have still not corrected the things they were told to correct by the health department. Our decks will rot because they did not put the posts in properly, but it is too late for that correction, so we will have to live with it, at least until they rot and we have to replace them. This is not included in the corrections they are supposed to make and have not. Our dishwasher is broken or not hooked up, there is a huge crack where our house comes together that they are patching poorly, and today while I had the water on in the sink, the handle just shot up and water went everywhere. Every time I talk to them, they explain they are growing too fast and are backed up. That means this is happening to other people besides us. That scares me. I would not wish this company on my worst enemy. I also got a call before we were allowed in our home from the health department telling us that our home was illegally on our property because they did not pull any permits before they did the work, including hooking up our existing septic tank to our home. They gave me some sad story about a contractor leaving and making promises he did not do. I had a face to face conversation though where an employee of theirs told me she would pull the permits herself. THis was never done. To be blunt we have been dragged around and lied to. I have never written a google review in my life. I never really thought I would. I cannot tell you how much we have been out in expenses either. I will say up front that they did pay $1,000 towards our living expenses (a drop in the bucket) and fixed our septic tank issue. However, if they would have pulled the permit and done things correctly, they would have found that problem on the front end and we would have handled it gladly. We have experienced so much heartache over this and have had so much extra stress from this company. My sole purpose in writing this review is to make sure you think good and hard before you use them. They say all the right things, but their actions do not line up. If I had it to do over, we would have paid more and gone with a different company. I dont have that option anymore, but you do. Choose wisely.
I cannot say enough good about the team of people at Preffered Living Homes! They have been there from start to finish with us as we have journeyed thru the process of putting a beautiful home on our 5 acres in Luttrell TN...they have literally made our dream a reality :) Excellent and Amazing is the words I use to describe this place of business!! After dealing with 2 different manufactured home dealers we found our home with Preffered Living Homes. Try them out you will not be disappointed in customer service or price and no one will work harder to get you in a home, Thanks, Sam and team!
They have very nice homes, but very expensive
Great people and great service
