I drove my friend for an hour and a half to this dealer only for them to tell us that the vehicle is not in drivable condition. He scheduled a test drive ahead of time and was never notified of any issues with the car. They were on the phone multiple times, even on the way there I mind you, so they had the opportunity to bring it up. When we inspected the car we found more issues not even relating to the bigger problem, and when we brought up price negotiations the man responded with a joke basically laughing in our faces. I’ve purchased quite a few vehicles and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had, what a complete waste of time when it didn’t have to be.

Very friendly but didnt meet my expectations on the trade-in.

We recently bought a truck from Trent Family Auto. They were located out of state and roughly 3 hours away from us. Being the drive was rather far, I looked up the shop and their reviews to see who I’d be dealing with. Much to my surprise, they had amazing reviews which isn’t something you usually see from a small auto dealer like this. So we made the journey out there and bought the truck. It became quickly apparent why they had such a great rating, the guys there were very helpful, polite, professional, and accommodating. All things that are hard to come by in the automotive business in my experience. They worked with us on everything and were more than fair to us. We were treated with some of the best customer service we have ever gotten and we fully recommend them if you’re considering purchasing something from them!

Test drove a couple vehicles got settled on a 2011 Durango, drove flawless, a couple days later it developed a sharp pull to the right and a clunk in the front end. Gave me their mechanics number right away and are going to get everything square. They have really nice vehicles on the lot, the owner and LJ are some really cool people, easy going and make sure everything is done right. In and out in reasonable time. I definitely recommend this place for your next vehicle purchase :)

Quick approval and very friendly

The quick review is that my salesperson, LJ, seems to be an honest and relaxed person that doesnt pressure customers. Trent Family Auto even worked with me after the sale when an issue arose. That is why this review is not 1 Star. Unfortunately, I was sold a van that needed serious engine work that they were not willing to fully take care of. That is why I cannot give 5 Stars.I came from 50 miles away to purchase a Chrysler minivan with just over 100,000 miles on it. I took it to a local mechanic to get inspected. An oil leak was found along with an engine code for low oil pressure. Trent Family Auto agreed to make the necessary repairs, we negotiated the price a little, and I purchased the vehicle.I picked up the minivan a couple days later. Approximately 1/4 mile down the road, the engine light came back on. I immediately contacted LJ, and he began working with me to figure out the problem. Ultimately, it was discovered that the engine was full of sludge. Trent Family Auto agreed to put more money and work into it to clean the engine and make everything right. Unfortunately, the work that was done was not enough to thoroughly clean the engine. My local mechanic recommended costly repairs to clean it, or replace the engine.At this point, I requested that Trent Family Auto refund my money since I no longer wanted the vehicle. Though it was an as is sale with no warranty purchased, it seemed possible they would agree to refund my money since they had already put more money into the van after the sale. They had seemed to be honest people wanting to do things right, not just what was legally required. Sadly, LJ informed me that there was nothing more that they could do to help me. He stated that the failure to catch the problem with the engine was the fault of the mechanic that inspected it and not Trent Family Autos problem.My mechanic did his own thorough inspection and found more problems (some of them to be expected for a vehicle with this many miles). I have now chosen to put a little over $5,000 into replacing the engine, a leaking radiator, struts, and shocks.Based on my experience, it seems that Trent Family Auto did not honestly know what they were selling to me. The sludge in the engine isnt something that I believe is easily discovered. They probably had a better idea of the issue once their mechanic cleaned the engine. What started out as a smooth, honest transaction with upstanding people ended short of that mark, for me personally.
